Lovely cafe, wonderful bakery. However not sure - but noticed over past few months staff don't seem as welcoming as before. I hope Blackbirds continued expansion doesn't compromise on staff (shop) salaries ! I'm sure that's not the case though. Just a couple of off days. It's a south London gem.

Lovely spot in Crystal Palace. Coffee is amazing, good selection of baked goods. Bread price is also decent. £4.30 for a huge loaf of bread (while more than Sainsburys) the bread more than compensates in quality, taste and freshness! Highly recommend a visit. Staff very friendly as well.

If this is the West Norwood branch, then you will find not better cup of coffee served in London. Dark, wonderful flavour and not some milky rubbish. Neither do they ask you how many shots, they just serve good quality coffee as they do in most other European countries.

One if my most beloved spots in Crystal Palace. Good selection of fresh bread (you have to be quick though, it's a popular place), great pastries and coffee. Very cosy and nice bakery, the only issue - they don't allow dogs. And I love to have dogs around.

I have visited this bakery 3 times in the last week! I’ve had a carrot cake, a chocolate fudge cake & a lemon drizzle cake & all three have been amazing. I have seen 2 different ladies on my visits and both were exceptional nice & welcoming

I tried, for two years I have tried to like this place, but compared to all of the other excellent places available in the neighbourhood, this place just fails. Bland coffee. Stale pastry. Bread not made on premises so it goes very hard and

God this place is so visibly dirty!! Floors, walls, chairs and tables. Thankfully just having a coffee. Unfortunately I came for a relaxing 15 min coffee but it was empty and the guy decided to bang and chuck everything in sight tidying up

Went in there yesterday to grab a Sunday morning tea takeaway. The barista was serving someone else but there were 2 other staff members coming back into the serving area and one served me, stamped my loyalty card and took the payment. No

Our usual place was closed so we thought we would give this a go. Well, the guy sent me back to the door without even giving me an option to see what they had stating I have a dog and he could serve me at the door (but how am I suppose to

A wonderful little cafe in Crystal Palace. This was our first time here and definitely will not be our last. The cafe has an old-world charm with delightful little pieces that make up the decor. We ordered the Victoria Sponge, Banana and

This place saved our day! We stayed in the nearby Queens Hotel, the so called breakfast was a disaster. So we left and found the Blackbird. We had a very good time, friendly people, nice handmade croissants, delicous coffee. And relaxing

Very reasonable cafe. The cakes are very nice and generous with their portions too. The coffee is OK. Not as good as the Artisan Chocolate Cafe or Four Bororughs in Crystal Palace but a good third place. The only thing stopping it from

I go to the Crystal Palace branch every time & it's consistently good bread & great cakes. Also buy their muesli as well which I love. I see there are mixed reviews about their coffee but I've always found it perfect & who should be

Lost count of the number of times I have been here over the years. Sure, it looks like it needs decorating, but so what? Great coffee, great cakes and I always buy a loaf. You get left alone with your paper in the morning :-)

Very good. Really quick food time and boba drinks were good but didn't put enough boba balls in they also didn't stir my drink properly when making it proberly. But other than that it's very good I would go there more offten

I’ve been going to Blackbird Bakery for a few years now to buy bread but finally decided to leave a review because I bought an absolutely stand out Stollen from here before Christmas. Maybe the best Stollen I’ve ever had!

  • Tim Lince

Probably the best bakery on the Crystal Palace triangle. Yes, it's pretty expensive, but it's well stocked and the bread - every one I've tried anyway - is delicious. The coffee and croissants are also lovely too.

  • Sophie Hammer Lewis

This place is full of tempting delights, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I also ordered a delicious cake for my daughter's birthday. Their coffee is fine but not amazing, the beans are their own blend.

  • Louise

Love this bakery. Their sourdough is really tasty and lasts well, and they have a loyalty card which is a nice touch. I wish there was one closer to where I live….please open one in Penge or Beckenham!

The best Americano coffee I had so far in London. the pasteries are quite yummy as well. needs redecoration and also some tables are not really comfy but who cares as long as coffee is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Niamh Eddleston-McGrath

I absolutely love this cafe! It is so so cosy, the food and drinks are so gorgeous. I really reccomend the coronation tofu sandwiches, it is my favourite and tastes so fresh and delicious.

  • Elle J

Not all that much to rave about. The coffee is okay, and while I do appreciate being asked if I'd prefer one shot or two, the end result isn't the best I've ever had. It's pretty average.

  • Janet Hwang

Sourdough is nice and the coffee is good. Their customer service is so sub par. You would expect a basic “hello” or a “thanks bye” you get nothing other than “white or brown bread?”

  • Vicky Yannoula

Really love the ham, cheese and tomato toastie which comes with sourdough bread. I always go for one shot Americano coffee as I find the two-shot rather strong. Excellent jams too.

  • Danny Benyammine

The team are amazing here. Shout out to Tash, Philippa and Ali as well as the others that I should learn the names of. (Lad with the great ‘stache, fella with the 2 children) More

I visited during a busy lunch rush on May 17th and the team of folk behind the counter were lovely, professional and working great as a team with good humour and charm.

No fuss, no drama.. perfect execution on the cake order for my liluns b'day. Gorgeous chocolate fudge cake. Not too sweet and not too creamy - kids and mums loved it.

  • Billy

Fantastic cakes and bread let down by terrible coffee and stale croissants. I go back for the cakes but I’ve tried the coffee 3 times and it’s just not

  • Hester Luke

Absolute gem of Crystal Palace! Cat and dexter especially went above and beyond to make myself and other customers feel welcome. Good work!

  • STEPHEN HATHAWAY

Coffeé not bad; drinkable, better than most. As for edibles, their menu hasn't changed for years, ten at least... mores the pity.

  • Tara Ryan

I had high hopes for this place after reading favourable reviews on here but in the end felt really disappointed.

  • Camille Liger

Nice place, good chocolate croissant, the latte is too much milk but ask for less. Good bread too and nice staff
