My last visit to blue cross was a very sad one , I had to have my 14 year old Siberian husky put to sleep. I can not begin to express thanks to the staff here, they are fully professional but still sympathetic . Everything was explained about the euthanasia fully but with great tact, understanding that myself as the customer was completely heart broken! Both the vet, vets nurses and reception staff were absolutely amazing and as a beautiful touch a few days after Nikita was put to sleep I received a heart felt, hand written condolence card.

My life turned upside down on Monday the 8th October 2018 when my beloved Pierre had to be put to sleep due to a very short illness affecting his spine and the use of both his legs. I honestly can not thank the support of the vet and nurse who helped me say good bye and cared for me as I has hysterical. Today is 13th Of October and I have just received a thinking of you card from the blue cross. I would really recommend this company they are so passionate about animals and caring for them.

I'm giving them 5 stars as they are free for people on certain benefits however there organization at the counter is poor at best as they don't book people in properly allowing people who have come after you with a appointment after you in first when there make a error and whilst dealing with you they'll start dealing with someone else instead of telling them to wait untill they've finished with you .the vets and vet nurses as well as support medical support staff are amazing as a whole.

We’ve taken our elderly cat there as we thought in emergency hospital will be the best option. At the door we were told we need to be on benefits for her to be seen. Even after we clarified that we don’t want anything for free and we will pay for treatment ourselves, our very sick cat was turned away. Don’t get fooled by nice slogans on their site, there was not an inch of compassion for ,as we found out next day from our vet, dying animal.

I think the team are lovely, I was happy until I received an email to say my account is in credit of £25! I took my cat there cause he had fleas and they told me to continue doing what I am already doing. They never checked my cat to see if he had a lot on him or anything. So I am a bit annoyed that I am expected to pay £25 just to be told to continue doing what I am doing. I think that is quite a rip off!

Since the blue cross shake up it is impossible to reach them by telephone so if you are unable to get to them you can't get a prescription. I have paid my years £10 but apart from that No contact. It is very sad that disabled people like myself have just been left to flounder with their pets. sign of these times I guess but not good . Lung worm hits more pets in the area and I can't get treatment now.

Blue cross Morten, next to a pen you have 50% chance for winning the put to sleep ticket. I've never experienced such despicable staff in my life. Not all, two in particular _ the Portuguese young lady "trainee vet" she loves the kill. And the manager of the Hospital, I believe she is Spanish - First class psychopath, no emotions, if things go wrong, its always your fault or natural cause. Good luck.

Mostly know what to do, have met one who was saying what I wanted to hear! I want the truth! But overall a great vet hospital, they looked after both my dogs and continue to do a great job. For people who can't afford a private vet this is the place to go to. But if u can offer some to charity, to keep their services running is a good idea. Without them I don't know what a lot of people would do.

I rang to register my cat as she so poorly. My local blue cross is closed atm so there is a table set up in the vets around the corner. After 2 weeks waiting for someone to call me back I finally get an email telling me I had to take her to Hammersmith or Victoria. I pointed out in disabled and there is a table in my local vets atm and I can't get to these places. I was offered no more help.

I can t thank you enough the staff at merton , my elderly cat had to be euthanized , the vet who did it was so gentle and kind that this painful experience made it a bit more bearable . They listened to my concerns all the way , made my kitty more comfortable for her final journey and I even received a little card afterwards which really touched me . Thank you from the bottom of my heart .

I love the blue cross and the care which is given to animals my dog had two oops one when he had a tumer in his left eye and the eye was removed the other was recent with a very very big lump which had to be removed think called a licoma not sure since then he has been 100% happy and well he is now nearly 12 and still full of beans all thanks to the blue cross. Thank you to you all.

The Blue cross will NOT treat my pet because l am "just a PENSIONER" they will treat her if l receive Pension credit BENEFIT. l have no other income, paid taxes all my life ( which is where BENEFITS money comes from) so why are we, the pensioners being DENIED the service we and our pets NEED. I thought you helped us but you just toss us aside because we ONLY get our Pension.

  • Wendy Payne

Thank you so so much to the Blue Cross hospital in Merton. I took my cat Sultan there yesterday (5.6 2022). The treat ment he recieved was 5 star. From reception to the vetinary nurse was absolutely fantastic. When our fur babies are poorly it is a worry. We are in great hands with the wonderful treatment they give. Thank you so much for everything ❤ xx

  • Christine Townend Smith

Unfortunately my partner had to take our beloved two elderly cats to be put to sleep this week. He told me that all the staff he came contact with at the Blue Cross Merton were wonderful. They were very helpful and understanding of our predicament. Four days later we received a condolence card. We were very touched by this act of kindness.

  • Karen Honour

My cat Cookie was being looked after here at Merton blue cross after being diagnosed with cancer. The staff here are exceptional. They took care of our beloved cat and us when we had to finally say goodbye to our cat. I cannot thank them enough for the care they gave Cookie. Thank you so much for all your help, you all do a wonderful job.

  • Clemon Padley

An amazing service available to anyone who is on state benefits or low income offering treatment for their pets at an "as much as you can afford" rate. They all provide an emergency treatment service for pets too. They are a charity that is truly a godsend to those that can't afford to use a private vet for their beloved companions.

  • Will Howard

Brilliant place helping many types of animals. The staff are efficient and warm all the way from the vets to the couriers and reception staff. You're made to feel secure and comfortable. The place is clean. They also provide lots of information on various scenarios involving your pets in the form of leaflets or face to face advice.

  • Vicky Campbell

The best care given by all, from the receptionist to the nurses and vet. Friendly, professional and so caring. During Covid restrictions the system they have in place is faultless. Communication between the vet and myself was clear, not rushed and at each step during appointment I felt reassured. Thank you for the best of help.

  • Yulia V

Went there last week with a kitten that had an abscess. Was so pleasantly surprised with the vets and the nurses - they were super kind! We’ve been to a couple of private vets in Streatham and always felt like we were talked down to and the vets didn’t actually care about animals. Definitely recommend Blue Cross!

  • K HawkEye

Lockdown really ruined the way Blue Cross is managed, I can't fault the staff at the surgey, vets and nurses are extremely caring. But the Phone service is diabolical!! 45 minutes and then the phone put down on me! After calling back and still waiting another 43 minutes, finally I get some help for my cat.

  • Kim Kat

Overwhelmed by the great services of this precious charity. Members of staff have been so attentive and caring to my pets. During the Covid-19 restrictions, doctors have continued to look after us remotely with continuing professionalism. We really appreciate your services. Thank you.

  • VirtualVisitor999

Superior hospital, truly loving staff. We took our old cat there when she became blind from old age, and they were very loving and allowed me to hold her after the injection. We have two new cats for a few years now, and they take such good care of them. What a wonderful place.

  • Kay Cooke

My chihuahua broke her leg and they was so caring supportive to me and my dog. My dog was a nightmare she would escape out of her cast they would still help her. I would encourage anyone to really donate all you can great place. They genuinely all love to help animals

  • Sam Weston

Wonderful service. You need to book an appointment there can be a bit of a wait for one. Vet was knowledgeable and friendly. We waited five minutes to be seen and five minutes to collect medicines. Four different kinds £9.91 and £10 donation (opitional i think).

  • A A

Can someone please answer the phones. I've been calling for a week now and everytime I try, no one answers. I need to know the results of my cat's lump. Is it a tumour??? She's just been left like this bleeding out from her abscess. Awful service

  • bernadette Harford

these people are what humanity really is on an everyday thank you so much please give generously I mean our pets are our kids I would have been paying a month's money instead of 55 pound donation towards my bill and I would love to volunteer

They wanted to spay my dog at 4 months old when she’s a big breed What a bunch of absolute animal rookies Any vet would know it is not correct to neuter a dog before the age of 9-12 months when it’s a big breed

  • Shirley Gray
