I've been enjoying these delicious muffins since Blue Sky Bakery opened, 18 years ago. It's a neighborhood staple. The muffins are always amazing- from the pumpkin apple walnut muffin to the triple berry, the classic blueberry, and all the creative mixes- with mangoes, peaches, raspberries, cream cheese and even carrots. I've literally never had a muffin that wasn't delicious. Even the bran muffins are actually tasty! Other treat treasures are the cinnamon rolls with the AMAZing icing with a hint of orange, the lemon cake that always looks too sweet, but it's not! and croissants. The other thing that I really love about Blue Sky Bakery, is that it makes this little corner of North Slope feel small and cozy. There is always a neighbor, in addition to George and Eric, to say hello to and catch up with. Plus I love the 'alley' feel and the vintage 'window shopping' while there. Hands down the best neighborhood bakery in Brooklyn. Love love love Blue Sky Bakery

Great neighborhood coffee shop/bakery, best for morning visits as they close later in the afternoon. Very relaxed atmosphere and kid-friendly. The space is small and doesn‘t have many tables, but they have a lot of children’s books ready to entertain little guests while their parents refuel with coffee. We‘ve always loved their muffins, which are baked in small batches and available piping hot throughout the morning. Favorite flavors are triple berry and blackberry nectarine (see picture) Special shoutout to their cinnamon buns: they‘re the *only* bakery who offers intense flavor without drenching the bun in sugar/syrup. They‘re light, not-too-sweet, and very cinnamon-y. Available with sugar glaze for people who prefer it sweeter, but we keep coming back specifically for the un-glazed version!

This is a gem of a place. Very reasonably priced, especially for Park Slope, and lots of space to sit and relax without any pressure from employees. Their homemade muffins are something special. I have yet to try all of their baked goods, but someday I absolutely will have tried them all. They also make a great dirty chai and serve the famous nyc Kobrick coffee. To top it off, the staff is beyond friendly. This is a great bakery and a wonderful business to support.

The best thing about visiting Blue Sky Bakery is the anticipation of seeing what weird and wonderful (but without exception, delicious!) muffin flavors they have on the menu that day. I like picking the flavor combination that I think makes the least sense and then being surprised by just how well it works. The staff are all super friendly and the place has a relaxed, easy going vibe. Definitely a neighbourhood fav for me.

Walk in the door and the smell is overwhelming. Fresh, baked, warm, spiced muffins. Fruity, creamy, chocolatey, pick your favorite adverb and Blue Sky has a muffin for you. Seasonal fruits rotate through, bran makes its appearance, goodness packed into a giant, flavorful muffin. Get there early, they tend to close up shop by 3pm!

At first glance, the pumpkin apple walnut muffin looked hard and possibly dense, but on the contrary: it was just the right amount of crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, without being heavy and greasy. Generous chunks of apple and walnuts filled the marvelous muffin, which was still steamy at 10 am. I could live here.

The best muffins you've every tasted; whether filled with fruit or nuts or chocolate, I've never been disappointed. Whenever I bring these muffins to gatherings, people are obsessed after the first bite! There are bran, zucchini and white flour based muffins with different fillings/ flavors ( the selection varies daily).

The description says cash only but they take Apple Pay/card! Muffins are worth the hype, and even though I came after 12 they still had some that were warm. The strawberry cream cheese muffin was soo good. And the coffee is solid as well! Just wish I hadn’t discovered this place right before I’m moving out of nyc!

A small bakery with a glass case that showcases the sugar glazed muffins famous on fifth. Take a quick glance, know what you want! Service is lightening quick. Pumpkin/hazelnut and pumpkin/banana/walnut are the best! Get anything with bananas and walnuts. Skip raspberry anything. It left a bad taste.

Small shop squeezed in the middle of the block, just a few streets down from the Barclays Center; one high table for five or six plus several two-seat tables; serves muffins, cakes, puff pastries, cookies and breads; friendly staff Ordered the blueberry buttermilk coffee cake (OK rating)

  • Kelly McComas

Possibly the tastiest muffins I've ever had, and I consider myself somewhat of a muffin connoisseur. Add that to a staff that is consistently lovely and friendly and you've got a top-tier bakery! Wish I could start every day at Blue Sky, and if I lived any closer, I probably would!

Wanted to add a review for the BBlue Sky Bakery. It was great. Order one with everything on it and you won't be disappointed. One of the top burgers I've had, that's for sure. The garlic and parmesan fries were ok. Kinda lacking in both the garlic and the parmesan departments.

Chillest cafe in the hood! Cool staff and always have a great soundtrack playing! They also have a sweet selection of books of all kinds that are available to pick and enjoy as you drink your deliciously made coffee! I always try and stop by here when I'm in the neighborhood!

I am usually not a muffin enthusiast, however this place I will run to get their delicious and unique muffins. Always warm and ever changing flavor combinations, makes this a must see muffin stop. They have other baked goods as well, but I just can not get over their muffins.

  • MJ R

what a nice bunch of people here. GREAT MUFFINS and Bake Goods. And also the kindest. My daughter was short on paying and they asked her to just pay what she could and pay it forward. She will, by bringing back her sister who usually carries the cash. Thanks guys!!!

Delicious baked goods to be washed down with java that is just as delicious. It can be a little pricey, but truly worth it. Get their early in the day for the best selection of products and perhaps a seat to enjoy your purchase.

  • Ariadne Skoufos

Blue Sky has the best muffins ever - not a hyperbole, just true! They also make scrumptious cakes and cupcakes… the carrot cake is to die for. To top it off, everyone who works there is always so kind and lovely. Must visit!

  • Patti Marvin

Spoke with Eric about delivering muffins to my son & his family in Brooklyn, they were delivered as promised the next day for a nominal fee and they must have been Magic as they disappeared shortly after delivery!

  • Tom Klaber

A fine place for a cup of coffee and a muffin. The pastries are fresh and come in a verity of interesting flavors. While seating is not guaranteed, there is usually a chair to nab and read the paper.

  • Fran Riley

Grateful that they were open by 7:30. The croissant was pretty good, not the best but somewhat above average. The turkey egg brioche was dry, completely flavorless and the egg was overcooked.

  • Ilw

Great place! The staff is so friendly and there is a family atmosphere here. It's feels like the perfect neighborhood coffee/bakery hang. Off-the-charts Baked goods and excellent coffee!

  • Sandy Chen

This place is an institution, best muffins in Brooklyn. First discovered their muffins at local cafes, but the actual store has all the different flavors of muffins and more. Love it!

  • Angus Davidson

Great place. Very tasty muffins and coffee. Strong espresso :) Nice bench out front. Good place to swing by on a weekend and just hang. Especially when the sky is blue.

  • Michael Hewlett

I loved it here because the staff knew everyone by name, and it seemed like people cared about community. Their muffins were good, but their hot chocolate was bland.

  • Maritza M

  • Dan McWeeney

Pumpkin muffins are the best. I miss them throughout the summer. Can't go wrong with any of the muffins, great constantly rotating seasonal selection.

  • Noah Kershaw

The best muffins I have ever consumed. Go for anything of the Pumpkin variety or try out the cream cheese-stuffed ones for a trip on the wild side.

  • Peter Bachman

Luckily they spread their delicious baked goods around because unless you get there early you will miss out. Definitely make this your first stop.

  • Elizabeth

  • Sweet Husbands

Their muffins have some interesting flavor combinations, but we found them to be a little too dense and dry. Heads up, it's cash-only!
