"One my favorite late-night spots in the downtown area, and my go-to spot to take any out-of-town friends that come visit me!! Bodega is a smaller, more exclusive space, so I highly suggest reserving a table for bottle service ahead of time, if you plan on going there with a big group"
My party and I were invited to Bodega by 2 different bouncers during our dinner at Barrio and since we were celebrating a Bachelorette party, the bouncer offered a table and bottle of champagne on him... We were shortly escorted to Bodega, and then when we entered, we were told to buy a bottle and then we would get a table.. So maybe the 2 bouncers did not coordinate the plan, but we were excited for a bottle of champagne and would have probably by gotten cocktails by default. However, we were lured in with the promise of a bottle on the house but never got it, haha. Plus the place was empty so it felt we were just invited to fill the space. Music was a live drummer, just wasn't the vibe. We liked the vibes of Barrio but unfortunately Bodega didn't match it. We left immediately. :/ The only plus side is we got some cool pictures they took for us on our phones before entering. Otherwise I don't know if I would go back unless I knew what the vibes were inside beforehand.

The staff at this place are awful. No less than FOUR PEOPLE AT THREE SEPARATE TABLES got their coats stolen when I was there, including me. They literally have “security” everywhere yet somehow none of them saw or stopped coats from being taken. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they are in on it. One of their security people, Kevion, even took my coat and put it down at our table, stood 5 feet from there the whole night, and yet my coat was still taken. When I told him about it at the end of the night he looked around their place for a couple minutes and then took my name and number. How funny is it that he didn’t even ask what my coat looked like though… Then, their manager, Josh, refuses to call or email me back. I’ve called multiple times. He refuses to say anything about this problem or even look at the video cameras they have around this place. Bunch of absolute crooks and you should not trust these people. There are way better clubs in the city too.
Not friendly, awful staff. My brother and I were dancing and accidentally spilled a bit of his drink on the bouncer passing by. Bouncer immediately got in his face and told him to get out. We were polite, asked the reasoning for it, told him that it was an accident and we will help clean up. Started escorting him out, we did not say anything more, did not provoke him, I was between the bouncer and my brother as he walked us out. As soon as we got outside the doors, the bouncer shoved my brother into the street into oncoming traffic. Our relative then tried to take a photo of the bouncer for reference to be able to file a report, the bouncer took the phone, and chucked it across the street into traffic. My brother was luckily okay but walked away with a sore shoulder, a ripped jacket, and a broken phone. Complete assault that was unprovoked, we did not touch him at all. I highly recommend not coming here, nor will we ever be back.
So this happened last night ( similar situation to Karen who also left a review ) Asked for a cup of club soda water from a bartender , got it few times from him . It was free tap club soda . Of course between that I ordered drinks I left good tips … cuz I used to be a bartender … so before I left … I asked for 2 glasses of club soda…this time I got sparkling water in a bottle which I didn’t ask for … also the bartender didn’t even ask me if thats ok with me or that I will have to pay … but I gave him my card because I knew bottle water isn’t free … but come on 9$ for a bottle water ? Especially when I didn’t ask for that …. This bartender will see my face again and I will complain to whoever is the manager in that place ! I had really good time in there but after what this bartender did : sorry I will spread the word to everyone that I know ! Not nice !
One my favorite late-night spots in the downtown area, and my go-to spot to take any out-of-town friends that come visit me!! Bodega is a smaller, more exclusive space, so I highly suggest reserving a table for bottle service ahead of time, if you plan on going there with a big group. The door staff is super friendly, so if you’re ever just walking by and want to pop in with a couple people, you can usually chat it up with one their managers outside and they’ll walk you right in. Once you’re inside, you’ll find that they have late-night DJs that play along live instrumentalists like drummers, violinists, trumpeters, etc. and that the artists come off the staged areas and will literally play alongside guests in the crowd, it’s honestly a pretty fun experience!! I highly suggest checking this place out!
Asked for a cup of tap water from a bartender. He said they don’t have any and then offered a bottle of water. The bottle was $9. Later I asked a separate bartender for a cup of water and he gave it to me for free. I’m rating this a 1 star because not serving free tap water at a bar is potentially dangerous for patrons. Otherwise I had a good experience but I feel like safety should always come first.
This place was a pleasant surprise! Was looking for late night dinning and this popped up! I Love Mexican food and Drank The whole staff was super attentive and made us feel welcome! Moe was our amazing Drank slinger and rang in my Bday the right way! Morgan was topnotch!

My cousin booked this venue for his micro wedding, and we ended up booking a bottle service table afterward for when the nightclub started. Hands down the best service from beginning to end. We were treated like we were actual VIPs and didn’t have to worry about coordinating a thing all night. Very seamless experience and top notch service all around.
Came to Chicago from Denver for the 4th weekend. Friend said the one thing he wanted to do was go to Tao nightclub. We decided to go to Bodega Friday night and do Tao Saturday night. We enjoyed Bodega so much on Friday that we booked a table on Saturday and never went to Tao. Best club I have been to in Chicago. Amazing
Always have a good time here. Live DJ w/live drummer & sax musician creates high-energy vibes. Manager Ankur, is professional, always smiling & embodies hospitality by how great he takes great care of his patrons.

This place is small and lame. The drinks are over priced and they require you to be on a A list of some sort. We got in anyway. No Spanish music either. And the girls that go there are so fake and stuck up.

This place is definitely a Unicorn! One of the last places left in Chicago where I can go and feel comfortable and safe. They kill you with their service and kindness and the vibes are , love the DJ combined with instrumentals. …

My favorite nightlife spot in Chicago! Great atmosphere and energy thanks to the unique combination of a DJ and rotation of a live musical instrument (drums, trumpet, sax or violin). Do yourself a favor and check it out.
stuff needs to be change. not professional. not advocated. not friendly. I hope manager is noticing this. I will reserve my table in different club if situation not change.
Shots fired on the weekend blum restaurant & bar is hopefully close for good. Chicago back to normal blasting bullets instead of music post pandemic idiots...
one of my favorite nightlife spots! unique music and vibe compared to other nightclubs! perfect for a night out with friends or to celebrate an event/bday!!
Unexplained 3% surcharge, along with automatic 20% gratuity, on a bill for four drinks. One vodka sprite should not be costing $23.
Had the best time! They have instrumental performers with a DJ, such a cool vibe! The staff is nice and attentive. 10/10 recommend!
Great spot! Fantastic service, amazing energy. Highly recommend for a night out in Chicago!
