These guys were grossly understaffed for nuit blanche, the entire kitchen was in shambles. The dude at the till was losing it trying to deal with the disorganization. I watched multiple customers freak out over not getting their orders, random people stealing orders, and some folks waited for 30+ mins. All the bills were a mess, nobody was keeping up with them, so the cooks couldn’t tell what orders were done and what orders needed to be filled. They also didn’t always wear gloves when handling the ingredients (extra flavour??). As for the food, it was very average. The stir fry was a box of noodles with a very tiny amount of protein (shrimp still had the tails on as well, it was pretty awkward trying to bite the tails off with chopsticks in a tiny box), and about 3 giant pieces of unpeeled carrots with a couple bits of broccoli. I get that it was nuit blanche, but that could’ve been the potential busiest day of the year. We had to wait outside the door for almost 30 minutes till they let us in, as they were so behind on orders. They gotta get another cook or two and make sure everyone gets their receipts and order numbers, and maybe implement a system where they ask for names for the orders. That would avoid so much confusion. This spot definitley has good intentions, but I feel like theyre doing too much. Pizza, stir fry, burritos, gyros... yeah its great appealing to such a wide audience, but at that point you must be sacrificing quality for quantity. A jack of all trades is a master of none. Watching these guys go from tossing a wok, to trying to put together a pizza, to then making a burrito made my head hurt, so I can only imagine what it would be like working there. I hope to see this spot improve in the future as it's in an amazing location with a lot of potential. I wish I had a better experience, like the other reviews, but sadly I can’t say I did.

An abundant menu of mediocre fare that relies on a captive audience of downtown commuters to stay afloat. Winnipeg is a vibrant city of amazing culinary tastes from around the world and Bodegoes manages to distill the essence out of all of them into a dull mash of dissatisfaction. Normally a weak gyro with barely any meat wouldn't warrant a negative review but the public comments made by the owner lamenting the lack of foot traffic downtown is to blame for poor sales encouraged me to respond. When choosing a place to eat I always let the food speak for itself regardless of the location. All Bodegoes had to say was "..."

Bodegoes is an absolute staple in the downtown core of Winnipeg. The food is fresh, it's made right in front of your eyes, and the guys are happy to chat while making it. They remember a face, suggest new things, they do everything a good restaurant should when it comes to serving its patrons. The food is delicious and never fails to be flavourful and filling! The portions usually leave extras! Go now and grab a pizza, a noodle box, a burrito, anything on the menu is money and sure to satisfy whatever craving "green box " you're trying check off!

This was my first time ordering from the Market Square location. My go-to is always the sweet peanut stirfry but I found the order was pretty dry, which was disappointing. I've ordered this from Cityplace and it's always loaded with sauce, even without asking for extra. I will be going back to Cityplace for all my future peanut stirfry cravings and can't recommend noodle boxes from this location. That being said, the spiced thai curry soup was soooo good. I'll definitely be coming back for this soup and would highly recommend trying this one in particular. Portion sizes are great and food is still piping hot even when arriving home from ordering take-out!

I ordered Bodegoes catering for a work event to feed about 20-25 people. Communicating with them was really easy and then when there was an issue with our DoorDash delivery, taking almost an hour after being picked up, Bodegoes was able to contact them and get a refund for part of the order which was greatly appreciated. Would recommend them for your catering needs or just dropping in for a meal.

Had a gyro wrap. It was pretty lame, mostly lettuce with very little meat or other vegetables. Definitely not worth $10. Employees had a very low sense of urgency when it came to taking orders as well as making the food. Maybe get more than two people working at lunch rush? Won't be back. Edit: I appreciate the owner's diligence and reply. However, just wanted to share my honest experience. I'm not looking for a refund or a free meal. I don't think this restaurant is for me but glad other people enjoy it!

I have to add to my previous review from a year ago. I had the Southwest Salad with chicken tonight. The dressing was so good. It's always good, but tonight it was a little spicier. I'm not complaining at all, so tasty. Very nice balance of veggies, beans, chicken and deep fried tortilla's. I don't eat here often enough. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. Our dinner was so good, this place never disappoints me. If you want to support local businesses this is definitely a great place.

I arrived just after 7:30 pm and placed my order. The food was decent but about three spoonfuls into my meal the staff person yelled, “We’re closing in 10 minutes!” To which I replied, “It would’ve been nice to know this info before placing my order!” I quickly ate my food and left the establishment. Customer service totally lacked during my dining experience. I feel like I lost money in the street and this behaviour is unacceptable. I’m glad I didn’t leave a tip. I probably won’t be back.

Oh man, the Coconut Green Curry is so damn good and spicy. Came here on a busy night during Nuit Blanche and they were busy but efficient. Service is good. The green curry is a must try, very tasty and spicy. I plan on eating through the menu.

Highly recommend. Food was fresh, fast and the atmosphere and staff were amazing. Menu is impressive and caters to all, our group had ordered several vegetarian and non vegetarian options and all were amazing. Overall a huge asset to the downtown and will definitely be back.

My dish was delicious (mandarin spinach with falafels) so I ordered two others to go. The guy is friendly and cool. I felt comfortable there. You definitely should try this place ! Lot of choices and easy to understand.

One of my favourite restaurants in Winnipeg! Have never tried anything I didn’t love. Even my dad wants to order when he comes in from out of town. My favourites are the pad Thai and the chipotle chicken burrito. The owner Nick is so friendly and his staff are great. We love going to Bodegoes!

A nice quaint looking restaurant. The decor is fabulous and is good fit for the area. The staff are attentive,food selection is awesome. Order taken on a timely fashion and served up quickly. I placed an order for 35+ people to cater a company lunch. Nick was quick to respond, and was helpful to accommodate any allergies and dietary restrictions. The food was tasty, arrived on time, and comes in individual, noodle boxes. This was especially perfect for COVID, plus they were so cute! Highly recommended.

The portions of protein have gotten really small. They used to give you decent portions but now it's all noodle. The food is still tasty and filling but don't expect much more than what you would expect from the 99 cent bags from superstore. Basically flavored noodles served in a nice container.

We ordered lunch catering from Bodegoes and it was excellent! The noodle boxes were a perfect, covid-friendly meal as they came individually packed and were easy to eat. The food was delicious, steaming hot, and on time. Thanks again for the friendly service, Bodegoes!

Owner is a gem. Brought the kids in with me, and he provided some of the best customer service and delicious food that got rave reviews from myself and two children. If you haven't been, I'd recommend discovering this two decade institution in quality Street Food.

Bodegoes/LineUp has been one of my favourites for 15 years now. They do what they do very well. Fresh, filling portions, and their house made sauces are all so flavourful. I feel energized after eating their food. I've always had great service at all locations.

Awesome food I always get the noodles and wraps, you get friendly quick service and you are on your way. Great stop for a quick lunch or to grab some ready made meals for home.

I have been a big fan of Bodegoes for a few years, I love their chicken caesar salad! So it was a great option to have them cater a workshop I was facilitating this past weekend. The food and service was great as per usual.

Good quick food in the district. Food was fresh and good flavour. Can’t really rate the dining experience because covid mandates take away from it. But overall, worth checking out if you haven’t.

A lot of little things not right with the food, but the staff seemed very flustered. Would probably give it another chance except the wait for the food was too long for my lunch break.

Most amazing meal today! The vindiloo was on point and perfect flavouring. Definitely will revisit for this again. I would have taken a picture of the food but I ate it too fast.
