Books on the Bosque is a cute little bookstore on the West side inside Riverside Plaza. The bookstore focuses on new books, although there are a few scattered used selections and then an antiquarian books section. They’ve got treats, coffee, and a seating area for reading or chatting with friends. The day I visited on a Sunday early evening they had a live jazz band playing and there are events through the week. There’s a children’s section, middle readers, YA, mystery, classics, antiquarian, sci-fi, biography & memoir, new releases, and other sections. I wish there would have been more titles, and specially used selections, as buying new books for list price can add up very quickly. The bookstore just opened last year, so ideally they’ll fill more of the space with further titles as time goes on.

This is a delightful independent bookstore! Just over one year in business, the store hosts fun event for kids, students and other groups. The layout of this store is really good with well-identified categories of literature including a nice selection of books related to New Mexico, whether it is about out state, the author is from NM, or even books published in NM. I like that there is a good selection but not overwhelming crammed shelves that would make it hard to browse. There are very comfy, cozy sitting areas and, of course, some refreshments.

If you haven't been to Books of the Bosque you better get on over there as soon as possible. Their selection of new and used books has been carefully curated to present to the book lover the best of the best. My olfactory receptors were triggered upon first entering the establishment, the scent is reminiscent of jasmine and smoked Hatch peppers. They carry some greeting cards with museum quality artwork done by local artists. So get off the couch and drive over there now.

Books on the Bosque is a fantastic local bookstore that has a little something for everyone. They offer everything from Sci-Fi and Fantasy to Poetry and Bibliographies. Every month they have a month full of fun events to engage the community, and their staff is always happy to help you with any of your book related needs. Can't find the book you're looking for? No problem they can order it for you! 10/10 a great addition to the West side!

This place is so cute!! The decorations are tasteful and practical. There is a great kids area for them to read and an adult area. The cafe is cute and has chess! I enjoyed the local kombucha and sparkling water. Tia mom’s Cocina gluten free goods, I got the pumpkin scone and it was divine! The shelves are laid out very well and labeled! The staff was so kind and helpful at finding items we were looking for. This is a local gem!!

Lovely book store! It is a welcoming space and has a good selection. The staff are super kind and make great recommendations. I walked in for one book and walked out with eight. The best part about Books on the Bosque is how involved they are in the community. There are multiple activities they host every week, like trivia, book signings, and craft days. The book clubs are really worth checking out!

It's great to see another small business launch, especially one that offers a place to find new books and relax while you browse. The selection was mostly "popular" titles, but, that is OK. The space, time, and money to aquire more books from every genre isn't realistic unless you are a big-box store. So, it's nice to support our community and pick up some books.

Books on the Bosque is a great book store! It’s clean and has nice seating areas. Decently sized so no need to cram in aisles. Prices are about standard. Friendly and helpful staff. They had a cafe area (goodies and drinks) that I did not get a chance to try. But they had some good selections. I’m very happy we have a nice, locally owned book store in the area!

What a great addition to the west side! Everyone was friendly and they have a great children's book selection with an adorable kids area. The dreamy atmosphere makes me want to curl up with a good book. My husband was happy to find separate sections for science fiction, horror, and fantasy. Can’t wait for their shirts to go on sale and to visit story time!

Visited opening day and it is my new favorite bookstore! The shop is beautiful, well laid out and the places to sit and read are super inviting. All the staff were wonderfully kind to me and my kiddo. I was really thankful for the snack and beverage options! We just loved everything about this bookstore. It’s exactly what you want in a local bookstore.

Books on the Bosque is such a great indie run bookstore! The people who run it are awesome. I love having them order books I want if they don’t carry them in store. The in store selection is great, the space is decorated & cozy to spend time in store a while. They do a great job creating an event calendar each month that has something for everyone.

Love, love, love this place. They do the best storytime for the littles on Sunday mornings and have a great selection of books to choose from. And if they don't have what you're looking for in stock, they'll order it for you! The staff are all incredibly friendly and the store has a welcoming atmosphere that makes your experience fun!

I’m so excited to have a great independent bookstore on the Westside! I loved the atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. They even have a suggestion box to add our book requests to make sure they stock what the community wants. I will definitely be visiting again and again.
