A characterful second hand bookshop tucked away at the far end of Camden Lock Market. Black Gull is filled wall to ceiling with unexpected finds and tempting bargains. The stands outside include a bountiful crime fiction section, and inside there are particularly good stocks of music, hardback art books, religion and mysticism and the unusual category of "sex and drugs and rock and roll" as well as general fiction. Quirky pictures, masks, trinkets and other objets d'art complete the slightly spooky ambience.

Very quaint bookshop with a massive range of books to offer. The addition of being able to buy rare books or rare editions of books is great for collectors or fans of certain authors. I love that the books range from current and also absolute classics and gems from times gone by! Also the records always have classics! Everytime I come in to the shop I end up buying something! Love it and definitely THE place to go for book lovers in Camden, with such friendly staff and a free bookmark with every purchase!

Amazing book store! You Can find Old vintage books that actually Seem as if they were put in the store for at reason. The books are just High quality good literature. I Got myself “Roverandom” from Tolkien. He also had a very old silmarillion hard cover for only 8 punds!!! Just amazing. I 100% regret not buying that book. If the owner is Reading this “please let me know if you ship to Denmark?”.

Brilliant little place, it's well stocked so there's usually something here that I need and nice to be able to avoid the £3 delivery charges & unethical practices of large online retailers. Knowlegable, accomodating owner. Books are in great condition, found a '77 copy of Phenomonology Of Spirit today with the original cover in great nick for an excellent price.

A little overcrowded and chaotic, so can be difficult to really take time and look through all there is to offer. Great location right off of the market and main seating area in front of the docks.

The sole remaining book shop in Camden Market. Small shop, but impressive selection of used, new, and rare books. Friendly staff. Can be a bit difficult to find—faces the Yorkshire Burrito hut.

A very nice bookshop, unfortunately one of the last in that neighborhood. The owner was nice, funny and very helpful. A must go for every books lovers in London! Support your local bookshops!

I visit Black Gull Books every time I go to London. And usually I do find something interesting enough to buy! Good selection of Folio library books (with slipcases) and mythology.

Love this little bookstore! A point of calm in the market madness with a fantastic lineup of speculative fiction. We’ll maintained and staffed.

Found a couple of non-fiction books that I had been after for years. Correct prices. I found the staff perfectly agreeable.
