Stopped in here for for dinner after the Sharks beat the Eels. Meals were quick to come out, but admittedly we were the only 6 people in the bistro at the time. Burgers, schnitzel, nachos and bruschetta were all good. Beer battered chips are excellent. Now, here is the downside to this place- While standing at the bar waiting for a couple of drinks, I hear this crash behind me and turn to find a couple in their 60's falling to the floor. Thinking they had just tripped or something I go to help them up, only to discover the Muppet employed as security fighting with another 60+ year old man, and swinging him about violently. The old guy would have weight 70kg wringing wet, while macho security dude was a good 90kg of blubber. What elicited such a reaction from the security guy I don't know, but I do reckon the reaction and the use of force was well in excess of what was required. The old guy had a look of shock and confusion on his face. The couple on the floor were dazed and confused, and security dude had lost the plot totally. Apart from looking like a homeless person, the only indication he was security was the writing on the back of his shirt. From front on, he looked like a bloke who had one too many drinks and in need of a shower. Management, you need to have a good look at this bloke and his attitude towards patrons. I normally don't question the actions of security when dealing with obviously drunk people, but this group of senior citizens posed no threat to anyone in a near empty pub.

First time here, service from staff was fantastic, and everything was effortless from them. I ordered lunch, a peri peri chicken salad...a bit pricey for what it was, but flavour was fantastic, and portion size was good! They do have a lunch special menu as well. From all the other meals I saw being dished out, everything looked amazing and delish. They have a small amount of parking, they are opposite the station. All other parking is timed from what I noticed. Would definitely go back and recommend.

The greatest pub you'll even go to. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, amazing patrons, custom carpets, dual big screens for the AFL/NRL, dart board, custom carpets, Charly Chaplain always on the screen above the bistro, pirate trivia, live music nights, custom carpets what more could you want! Shout out to Tommy behind the bar absolute legend. Come to Boyles and you'll be treated like royalty

I've been a regular patron of Boyles Hotel for some time now, having eaten there around once a week for over a year. I've never had poor service, and the venue is always well staffed and clean, with the personnel being incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, well-portioned and reasonably priced. I've never had to wait very long for anything to be made, and I've tried plenty on the menu. Not a complaint to be had. Five stars.

"Nice buns", my wife said as she ate her burger (totally true). I gather she really enjoyed that burger. I had a chicken parmi that I loved. It was tasty and generous. For drinks, my wife had a glass of house Chardonnay and I had a schooner of Bulmers cider. Yum. All in all I enjoyed having dinner here. It has the true pub feel about it. EDIT: Just had another dinner here. They had some Indian food on special. Brilliant!

I went there. To visit the bar. Wanted to have a drink locally a Saturday night around 9.30pm. This place isn't fancy but old style local pub charm. It is a bit old inside. The staff are friendly. I found think place surprisingly lively as I was expecting it to be very quiet. Good for when you waiting for the train or just want a drink.

The smokers area in the pokies is small and not maintained as there was a machine that had ciggie butts stumped into an empty packet left on the machine next to the playing buttons. The smell of body odour was strong as you walked into the smokers area. Plus I had to pay for my drinks while playing pokies!! Alcoholic drinks, ok, understandable.. I was drinking coke, softdrink, it's free everywhere else...

I ate in the restaurant on Wednesday night with friends and the food was fantastic. I had the slow cooked lamb with linguine and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb was melt in the mouth tender, just perfect. The meals were served quickly, were all generous portions and piping hot. We all enjoyed our meals and had a great night. 10/10

The beer on tap here is always of a good quality and is a cosy pub that is staying true to the area. I see they have a nice rotation of specials. Difficult for me to eat there as there are no vegan meals and the staff taking orders are not able to advise on the various dishes. Definitely stop in for a few beers, but maybe eat somewhere else.

Nice inside. Staff are pretty good. Lunchtime meal specials are great value at $15. I had the rump steak with salad and chips... WINNER. On that, I had a win on the pokies too which made for a great lunch break.

Surprisingly good food! Lamb ragu was amazing, slow cooked lamb with vegetables, served with linguine, gentle taste, not overloaded with herbs and flavours, I would say European style. My husband had a rump steak with mushroom sauce and a salad, perfectly cooked for my taste. Looking forward to try other food new on the menu.

My partner and I run trivia once a week, otherwise it has great food, good service and staff. Hard to get parking at times, never rented a room there. There isn't much to do here other than gamble, play darts, drink and eat more of a place to go for conversation. Sometimes has live music.

I had a generous freshly made chicken parma and a decent glass of merlot with two attractive adult women who both enjoyed their meals a lunch special fish and chips and a lunch special steak. Only disappointment was that lamb shanks were no longer on menu. Otherwise I recommend as a good value eatery

  • pharb123

Poor service, rude bar staff (security and kitchen staff were lovely), poor value meals, left hungry, got a total of 2.5 peas with my $26 parmigiana with mash and veg, low quality dining experience, go to the royal on the other side of the train tracks instead

Called in to buy a bottle of Scotch. It's reliably at a fair price. I have in the past shared 'drinks' and meals here with good friends; and we have always enjoyed doing so. I'm confident we will do so again, as soon as we can arrange it. Best regards.

Really generous servings and I loved the Barramundi and moorish beautiful beer batter chips. If was comparing to other pubs would not have loss that star. The loss of a star was because it felt a little pubish, but it is a pub.

Excellent food. One of the best pub meals I've had. Hearty meals, good ingredients and youre not dished up the usual heavily battered and fried dishes usual at most pubs. The adjoining pub is your usual suburban pub, cheap drinks and colorful regulars make it pretty enjoyable.

We booked a table for a pre theatre dinner , we were going to a show at the Pavilion , Sutherland . We ordered the shared Tapas plate , which was presented beautifully and apart from being good value , was very diverse in flavours . Very Mediterranean . Most enjoyable . More

This must be the only hotel in Australia which puts 2 adults in a double bed, which pulls tables and chairs from a closet and makes you find your way through a rabbit's warren. Welcome to Sutho hospitality. NOT!

Went to the pub for a lunch and meeting with a friend. We had just ordered coffee when we were asked to leave by an guy who told us he owned the place. We didn't get to drink our coffee or order lunch. Don't know exactly what we did wrong.

  • Kyle Drayton

I would recommend visiting in lunch hour as the $10 lunch menu is great bang for your buck - you would be very hard pressed to find a quality hot meal for this price anywhere adjacent to here. I very happily visit once or twice a week for

I can't comment on the rooms as I did not use that service.. The location is fantastic on a Friday. You have a viewing of the pensioners club that is now a prayer house at 1300hrs to 1400hrs. You see devotees going into the complex . More

When you order a medium steak...you always hope thar you recieve one WITH a fresh salad. The fries...well there's often disappointment there too. My medium rump steak with a pepper steak sauce, salad & fries was Excellent.

I am righting this because of some very average service we had tonight. I have been a customer for over 5 years and the staff has been amazing. Tonight 4 of us went to have a meal, things were very busy and it took longer

Dropped in for my lunch break, ordered a chicken schnitzel roll for $10. So big I couldn’t finish it. Quick and friendly service. Also make a fantastic lemon lime bitters- not too sweet or sour. Will definitely come back.

Only Pub left that won't provide a refreshment / soft drink no matter how much you spend. Also having the teller machine at $2:80c shows they are trying to squeeze every cent out of thier patrons.

Oldest pub in Sutherland with an interesting history, the restaurant is back open now and I had the $13 Lunch steak and am still buzzing to be honest. Can you believe it? Awesome.

Got charged 18 dollars for a captain morgan and coke, probably a honest mistake. The food here is great. Can't really go wrong coming here usually. The prices are cheap. More

The food is fantastic, just don't understand why there are no vegetarian meals on the menu. Apart from that it is a great place to visit. The pizzas are brilliant.
