"Love Bramley park"
Was lovely to come back to this park as I used to live in Bramley and share the time with my children. It's changed a lot but had a lovely five hrs walking the perimeter kicking all the leaves and had a picnic too in those little areas of woods near the actual park was great. Collected pine cones and acorn's some feathers and made pictures. Found a few beautiful decorated stones some children had painted and decided to collect a stone each and decorate our own and go hide them somewhere. Anyway I'm ranting. I loved it the kids loved it and that's what matters. A huge highly recommend.
Modern, stylish, spotlessly clean, with very friendly staff. Opening windows in the rooms, which is a big plus for the covid-conscious. Food expensive for what is just simple bar meals - burgers and chicken etc. My one big gripe is that having booked a week in advance ("cheapest rates are always for direct bookings online") for £51, the hotel was offering rooms for £43 to walk-ins. Ibis is a brand I've started looking at regularly for my weekly outings, having had two or three very satisfactory experiences.
Bramley park has tennis courts, bowling Green, a wooded area, footpaths through open park land and a play ground.
Playground
The playground has a secure fence around and has some good play equipment.
Restrooms
There are no toilets
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly, I saw lots of people out with there dogs on and off leads
Picnic area
There are plenty of benches and lots of space to lay down a blanket for your picnic.
The playground is only for younger children due to railings throughout the climbing frame, making it difficult for older children to walk through. The seesaw is ridiculous. It only works well if you are an adult with a decent weight. Only the swings were any good for my 9 year old. The park itself is quite small compared to others with not many points of interest. A couple of groups of pine trees and a basketball court. Very average.
Love Bramley park. Although I have moved out of the area now, whenever I visit Bramley I always take a walk through the park. It brings back so many childhood memories with my mum, dad and brother. We regularly visited the park and play on the park as kids. Bonefire night was always a great fun, firework display, fair and fire. Lovely grounds to have walk. Awe, miss those days.
It was a free breeze festival full of inflatables of all different kinds, It's amazing that they put all this together for the kids so they can have fun through the 6 weeks holiday. And too be mainly free for the adults is a nice bonus. I say mainly because they're was some stalls offering different things you could pay for if you wanted.
I love Bramley Park and take the grandchildren when they come to visit. Unfortunately I think some dogwalkers are using the tree areas as a poo area for their dogs! You can see those with four and six dogs taking them in this area and it is not possible to keep an eye on them all at one go! Not good for children to then forage for cones etc.
Very clean and you hardly ever see any rubbish around. Great for dog walkers and has a nice garden , tennis courts, parkig and playground for and lots of little pockets of woodland. Great for a nice walk and very big so can easily social distance on it . Playground now open as well. Lots of bins around the park. Would recommend. …
Good for quick dog walks..childrens playground is ok..not much choice..take a ball but be aware that the grass area's are not fenced off and it is next to a busy main road..so you would be best to walk to the other side to play ball..the playground is fenced off. Each time we have been the playground area as been full of glass.
The play park has a zip wire. Thats me done right there! There are also football pitches, I think I saw tennis/badminton courts, a rather pretty walled garden and masses of space where dogs can run round. The footpaths that I've seen are well maintained and would be great for a wheelchair user but ive not explored all of them.
Great Park, well maintained and looked after... plenty of open space for the children to run wild and a park to play in. Over the years I've been watching the council and local residents restore this park to some of its former glory. It plays a big part in the celebrations in Bramley with events held throughout the year.
A local recreational park with good paths. Some a little sloped. Brilliant views of north leeds district from the top of the park. Be aware that after a wet spell grassy areas can get slippery and boggy. Well populated with a variety of dogs and there owner's. Always polite and civil, and that's just the dogs.
Great for the whole family, one of the friendly Park Run 5km every Saturday 9am for everyone of all abilities (children up to 12 have to run with their adult) and one on a Sunday just for children. Bramley Park is also home to a well equipe play park for children. Along with football ⚽ goals
I go to Bramlèy park on a regular basis to use the bowling green which has suffered from vanderlism over the years but the green is now in pèrfect coñdition thè rest of the park is quite plesant to wàlk round their is àlso à monument to the heroes of the first world war ,
The park isnt great itself, tend to be a lot of bad attitude older kids swearing and hogging the play park, besides that the area is very clean but I went here for my son to play and was abit put off with the above, it does have an amazing war memorial though
Brilliant for the kids and dogs they have courts for basketball and five aside football and a rugby pitch at the top of the park …
It's a beautiful green space to take your dogs or just to go walk and talk. In November it hosts bomb fire night and has has a funfair aswell. And as you come in through the front entrance there's a lovely memorial to our fallen soldiers. …
Well looked after and maintained, hosting the Park Run on Saturdays in better climes. Not spread over a particularly large area and not much of note worth travelling from further afield for, but a great little space for the local populace.
It's a nice enough park. There's a playground for the kids and lots of open space to play football and the like. Not the prettiest place, i.e. no flower beds or planting, but it isn't scruffy. It does have a Parkrun, which is great.
Went here for the park run on a Saturday morning at 9. A lovely park, quiet, clean and tidy. Will be going back again for sure! Oh and if you decide to do the park run here, due to the nature of the park it does include a hill.
It is a lovely, spacious park with many different designated areas for play, walking, sports or just a sit down in the garden area. Plenty of bins and facilities for dog owners. Play area could use a little attention, perhaps.
Very spacious park. Sit at top of the park on an evening and watch the sun set over the hills . Tennis courts ,basketball courts, bowling ,and a children park etc. Plenty of open areas to have a walk and sit for picnics.
We go every day at least four times with Darcy our Staffordshire bull terrier, She loves it, big enough to lose an hour in and pretty all year round, we may be a bit biased as we only live round the corner.. …
it was a Saturday evening really busy 45 minute wait for a table they got us a seat alot sooner the food was worth waiting for the staff were lovely and very helpful would definitely go again such lovely surroundings
Lovely evening, walk around the park and watching the whole of the sunset, while reminiscing about how the part used to be when I was a child.
Dog-friendliness
Great place for exercising and walking dogs
Great Park for walking my dogs although in Autumn there's loads of squirrels which makes it difficult to get my dogs home even when on leads and the poor squirrels can't get on with stashing nuts for winter!!
Lots of facilities for sports and a playground for children with a zip-wire! Lots of land to walk but fairly plain and uninspiring on a hill. There did seem to be a small walled area and random tree copses...
Great place has lots of events Fun fairs Bon fire night /Christmas good place to walk your dog lovley flower Beds at the Bottom of Bramley park also a park swings and slide for the kid's fun place to visit
Good park with lots of friendly people and dogs. Large fields with plenty of areas for sport. Football and rugby played here on a weekend. Sometimes it can be a bit if a mess with broken glass.
Beautifully-kept, peaceful space. Glorious in Summer & bracing in Winter. Good facilities for tennis, basketball and football. Great place ro walk a dog. Excellent views across the Aire Valley.
Great Park, has playground and a number outside exercise machines. Downside is the car park is a little small. But there is a great walk through the park down to the Leeds/Liverpool canal.
Very big and beautiful place to relax and enjoy. Park has kids play area, basketball and tennis court. Best place to feel fresh air.
Restrooms
No public restroom in this Park.
Surrounded by house Bramley Park a big open space for people to walk around ,plenty of seat if you wish to sit also area were you can play sports and play area with climbing frames.
Really big park, plenty of different areas for different activities, football pitch, tennis courts, children's play park. Big fields, dog friendly, very clean and free from litter.
Small bit of tranquillity in a very busy area. If you wish to see more pictures of all our wedding cars please check us out on Facebook at Best Weddings Wedding Car Hire York
Been going for the last 54 yrs ,just wish they were not as much glass in the tree area s near the top the dogs love it there. And yes, I always clean up after them ♀️ …
I don't like this place because is a but run down the tennis courts are not player able The football court is overgrown with weeds that's why is only getting 2 stars.
Lovely for a little walk or to watch the sunset on the top of the hill. Peaceful most of the time when the yobs aren't riding motorbikes and drinking on weekends.
Gave 4stars fact being has a better play area than stanningly park if only the people would respect the park ie litter and dog litter it would be a 10 score
I would like to see the park better maintained however it is still a nice places and could use more community events held here as it's very spacious
Great park for families, decent sized playground for children, plus lots of grass. Dog walking welcome. Park Run every Saturday is very popular too
Very large and open space. Kids playground as well as tennis and basketball court is available. Clean. Great for walks and afternoon activities
The council do a great job on the up-keep, people are friendly, lots going on... park runs, fireworks, football, rugby, music, memorials, etc.
Lovely wide open space. And from the top of the hill a beautiful range of views. Also quite a good playground. Beautiful place for a picnic.
Great if you're from bramley. Not great if you're not. Sadly lacking in investment for decades due to a lazy Labour governed local council.
Brilliant bonfire night again! Well organised event , entertainment for the children and fabulous display. Huge food queue only downside.
Ground is with football tennis courts, basketball and children playground ...nice and big
Playground
For children it is awesome
Lovely park to walk around. Includes recreation area for children. I remember taking my children here 20 years be ago. Good memories
This place is sadly lacking some amenities like a snack bar? The play park is very small considering the size of the grounds its on?
Playground, gardens and basketball/football courts, small wooded area and large field. No toilets, bowling green and rose garden.
Lovely space, I'm a frequent visitor. You can see for miles. Surrounded by some beautiful houses. Pleasure to walk in and around.
It was great but they could've opened the main gate to let people out instead of bottle-necking everyone through two small gates
Well kept. Small kids' playground. Tennis and basketball court. Football, rugby field and bowling green. Local war memorial.
It is a good place to relax play games and good environment for children to play on the climbing frames family environmental
I love the rose walled garden. I often sit there eat my fish and chips in peace and enjoy the calming effect of the garden
Bramley parkrun is super friendly and supportive. All the volunteers are extremely welcoming and it truly feels like home.
Good park for a stroll. Decent size with a children's play area. There is no car park so you do have to park on the road
Fantastic Park for the Bramley Music Festival, Bramley Carnival, and other Community Events including Bands in the Park.
O.k. for a short dog walk, got a childrens fenced off park, with a aerial runway ( unusual) plus a war themed entrance,
Fantastic park in the neighborhood, has few football posts, tennis and basketball courts and a good play area for kids
Very nice park lots of space for families to have a picnic, the garden is really nice even though it's not very big
Stunning views..wonderful place for a quiet stroll or jog and football. Has a Kids garden with slides and zipline.
During the daytime it's wonderful. During the night time it gets a little feral, but, a lot of places do in Leeds,
A lovely family park most practicing good social distancing tennis courts open but children's play area not yet.
Only one path of the park has lights on it, so during winter it can be a bit intimidating Otherwise nice though!
I live close so its an easy trip to take my dog here, they have a great firework display on bonfire night too.
Playground very dated and needs some investment. It's nice and big, good for dogwalkers but not much else
Great place for the kids to blow off some steam. Even better when people dont break the swings or zipline
Nice large park, attractive gardens, good courts and pitches, playground could be better but it is okay.
It's got trees, grass n further in a canal enjoy a good walk or a picnic and try not to fall in the water
Just popped in to see a game of bowls and have a cup of coffee I was made more than welcome at the club.
It's a sense of freedom wen ure outside wiv nature it's a beautiful place just to stroll & pass the time
Brilliant place to walk round and good views. Good play ground for kids. Only thing missing is toilets.
Great place to relax, run around or to have a picnic. Great big field to play football and other games!
Wonderful views from the top of the hill over the valley below. Great recreation area for the community
Big open space with kids play area dog friendly and tennis court and basket ball court nice local park
Very large park lovely for a nice walk around. Children's small area but huge grass areas to play on.

Always nice and tidy, plenty of dog walkers around (who doesn't love to fuss a dog or two!)
Lovely inner city park, well maintained good views from the top of the hill of the valley
Easy to find. Large fields. Medium sized play park. Tennis courts and basketball courts.
It's a very big place though the actual park itself is rather tiny - overall 4 out of 5.
Good place to enjoy the day. Good for jogging, walk with pets. We got childs play area.
Loved it the park looks beautiful, the fair and stalls were brilliant lots to do for all
Well managed reopening. Store feels spacious, more natural light than the Leeds store.
Daughter loves here. Swing could do with a repair and the roundabout thing needa work.
