GREAT place! Not only staff is extremely friendly... they are all SO knowledgeable and actually helpful in their departments. I'm an avid outdoors person, I work in the field, always found most outdoor shops so disappointing... you ask a question about a piece of gear and employees just flip the box and read it to you with zero interest and actual added value/advice. At Campers village, you can tell, 100% they use the products and spend time reading, researching beyond the obvious, comparing and handling the gear. You get high quality, honest advice and learn a thing or two in the process. The lady at the footwear section actually taught me how to lace my hiking boots properly for my specific needs! I spent like 2h in there, asked a million questions and really felt like the staff was enjoying the conversation and willing to help, not just selling stuff. Bonus: The place is 100% Alberta owned, a true local business operated by really cool passionate outdoors people. They have all the best brands and products, and even some extra stuff to discover! prices are very competitive, I'd say even better than some of the big shops owned by multinational interests. The proof that quality and excellent service is achievable in the retail business. Now that I discovered this place, will be my go-to, I'll try and buy as much as possible from them from now on. Keep up the great work!
I love the products, we've shopped at other 'Breathe Outdoors' locations before and we've always been happy with what we get! But unfortunately our experience in this location wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been; the floor manager was helpful but was breathing down our necks the whole time, even after we had already gotten help from another employee who answered all our questions. We always appreciate good service but all we wanted to do was look around before grabbing our online order, and they probably would have made a better sale if we were given the opportunity to look around without someone following 2 feet behind us. I felt like I couldn't even talk about what I was looking at or what I wanted because everything needed to be commented on! (I know this wasn't on purpose because I'm sure he was trying to be as helpful as he could be but it made me feel stupid). Again, always appreciate friendly staff and he was nice to an extent, but I left feeling annoyed and upset that after our multiple attempts to thank him and do our own thing, I couldn't look at what I wanted and we live almost an hour away. Thank you so much as we do appreciate the help, but hopefully this review reaches you and you can learn to step back and let the customers breathe. One thing I've learned working in retail is that giving the customer a good experience is what has them coming back.
In the mail recently I got an advertisement, for VIP Sale 25% off most everything in store. For Wednesday May 4th only. I called the west Edmonton location & asked for the Store Manager. I spoke with a guy named Paul. I live out by Alberta Beach, so roughly an hour from the west end location. On Wednesday May 4th, I’m flying to Vancouver, for the BMO Marathon and not back till the Monday. I’ve had my eye on a Wilderness Kayak for awhile. I asked Paul if there is anyway he could still give me the 25% off, if I came in on Saturday. I could even show him my flight booking. He said sure come in and you can get the 25% off. I went to the store today & I asked for Paul. I showed him the card I got in the mail. He said it was his first time with having this sale & he wasn’t sure if the exclusions. Sounded like he was a new manager. He called someone to ask about the sale, and they had him look up something on the computer. Then he told me Kayak was excluded from the sale. He said sorry I didn’t look at the exclusions before and said there’s nothing I can do. I said ok fine & I will go buy my kayak somewhere else. And I walked out of the store. He handled it very badly, he didn’t even offer anything to rectify the situation. He just let me walk out
My husband and I were looking for Keen shoes and after visiting 6 stores at Edmonton Common were on our way home thinking we would have to resort to on-line purchasing. My husband remarked that it was very sad that most of the staff helping with shoes today are more stock attendants who bring out what you already know you want along with the size you need than assisting with a purchase. As we approached your shopping center I said “Let’s stop at Breathe, I know they carry Keen shoes.” I want you to know how thankful we were to stop. Will, was the young man who assisted us with our purchase of 3 pairs of shoes and 5 pairs of SmartWool socks. Honestly, he was everything we had been lamenting about being absent from retail today. He was not only knowledgeable regarding the shoes we were interested in purchasing but helped me find a shoe that was a better fit for my foot. It truly made all the difference in the world in walking out of the store satisfied that our purchases were exactly what we needed. I want you to know that you have gained two customers who will continue to shop at your store.
I haven’t visited campers Village on 170st in over10 years. It used to be so cluttered with rows of tables and shelves with products piled on top of each other. I was looking for hiking boots online and a few different stores (not to mention competitors) had them online but not in store. I checked Campers Village and found some great deals online so I decided to drive down and have a look. To my surprise the store was completely renovated years ago and looks amazing. So much open space and very well organized. I was told if the product is on line it will be in the store at the time you are viewing it. I was looking at the hiking boot when this wonderful lady started asking me what I was looking for. I have never met a sales person so helpful and knowable about the products. So glad I decided to stop in. Was one of the best services I have received in many years. Very happy with my purchase and experience. 5 Stars plus.
I've been shopping at Campers Village for years, alternating between the south and west locations. It's always my go-to place for any outdoor gear or apparel - the staff are always super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable and spend the time to truly help you find what you need and what will work for you. Recently I came here for a pack fitting and the staff member assisted me for a couple of hours, never rushing me or pressuring me to make a purchase, and making many adjustments and modifications to try to find my best fit. When it became clear there wasn't a good fit available, he made recommendations for other brands/styles and other local stores to look for. Campers has offered some amazing workshops and events over the years, discount on Parks Canada passes and a birthday discount! I can't wait until bigger events come back in person - I looked forward to Beer and Gear every year and miss it!
I've shopped at Campers Village/Breathe Outdoors for several years for my outdoors needs and have always had a great experience, although sometimes I do wish the location were more central, but it's no big deal as I'm able to get here by bike pretty easily still. I just wanted to highlight my excellent customer service experience today. I'm self-sufficient most of the time when shopping for items and know the features and pricing that I want, but the lady who helped me out at the till, and the gentleman whom I assume was a floor supervisor or manager, were really great. The pricing was a bit of a tough decision but they both went above and beyond, and helped me out to find a solar shower I was looking for within my budget. Unfortunately I didn't catch their names. Always a pleasure to find my gear at CV/BO, especially in comparison to corporations like MEC.
Had a really awkward and uncomfortable experience at this campers village the 2nd time I went there. The 2 staff members that helped me; the 1st one seemed super uncomfortable and almost hesitant and unwilling to help and as she reluctantly looked up an item that I had specifically come to that store for turned up unavailable and out of stock the 2nd employee came to tell me that they were sold out and that they had no way of knowing/ordering or anticipating when they would be getting more. It honestly made me never want to go back there which is unfortunate because my first experience there not even a week prior to this rough one was actually really positive and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable so just a really strange and unwelcome contrast. I would have appreciated a little more consistency.
My significant other and I visited this location because of a concern we were having with a product. We were helped by Vince and Misty on the product that I thought wasn't working. It's hard to put into words with how impressed I was with the response I recieved. This simply wasn't about the transaction or customer service, but the importance of ensuring we were looked after as people. The human element in business dealings can often be forgotten, but they ensured a solution was in place for us before we exited their doors. They stand behind the products they provide, and most importantly they back it up with action. Anybody I've dealt with in this store truly cares about looking after those who are willing to spend their hard earned dollars here. Thank you to the staff at this location!
The service that I always get from this store is amazing. They are very knowledgeable of the products that they sell. They are very accommodating and always put their customer first. As an example, when I bought my Osprey 50L back pack , I initially had the back support size as small. I have already used the removable daypack of this back pack only to find out that the back support of the pack is too big for me so I came back to the store and had told them my situation and they were more than happy to exchange the size of the back support. I still kept the day pack since I already used it but they just had the back support exchanged with a different size. I also purchased this pack months ago which is past their return/exchange policy but they still had accommodated me.
I went to both MEC locations and no one could help me pick a JetBoil stove model for backpacking. At MEC, I was directed to use the website comparison tool in store! ♂️ Within minutes of arriving at Breathe Outdoors, Beau was able to help me narrow down a JetBoil model suited for my needs (West Coast Trail, and other backpacking trips). He was knowledgeable about the product beyond what the brochure could show me, and used his own experience with the product line and other products to augment his pitch. He gave me helpful tips for packing in food, fuel, and coffee. I ended up buying the JetBoil Flash, a face-size pack towel for protecting the non-stick coating, and 3 fuel canisters. Incredibly happy and confident with my purchases. Thank you Beau!
If you are looking for footwear definitely AVOID going here - GO TO MEC !! I was trying to try on some hiking boots and the girl was SUPER rude towards me. I asked if they do price match and she told me she would have to ask the manager. All she did was walk ten steps away from me and then she turned around and told me that it needs to meet 5 things for a price match?! Keep in mind she was very rude while saying this. Really bothered me with the way she treated me! I’m not sure if she was bothered that I was almost her age getting an expensive boot I don’t know !!! Either ways I didn't like how I was treated and left the store. If you want a sell at least treat people nicely!!!!
I just went shopping at Campers Village looking for some hiking clothes. I have been on a few hikes before but am fairly new to it all still. I went into the store with an idea of what I wanted but received SO much help from the store associates, especially Alex. I tried on what felt like every pair of pants on the store and he was super helpful in finding different sizes, and when looking at shirts he pointed me to a couple different sections and told me the positives and negatives of each of them. It was extremely helpful and I left with exactly what I needed and didn't feel pressure to buy more. Will definitely be back for any more of my camping and hiking purchases!
I love the selection of clothes for women at Camper's Village! They are well stocked and if your size isn't available they will special order for you if they can source the item elsewhere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and I especially appreciate the way they will go back into my purchase history to find the make and size of past purchases for both my husband and I. This gives me a better idea of what fit, in what brand and what sizes. I can buy with confidence for my husband and he doesn't even have to set foot in the store (he especially loves that because his love is for the outdoors, not the retail aspect of getting kitted out. Me, I love both!)
I went here yesterday for the first time to pick up an online order. The staff here are very personable and helpful. From the front counter staff to hiking boots to backpacks I got all the help and advice that I needed. I went to the clothing area to browse and I was asked if I wanted help 1x, not the overly pressured way that other reviews suggest. I’m more on the reserved side but I do appreciate being asked for help if someone is walking by. They might have no clue someone has already asked and they’re trying to make themselves available and approachable. Nothing wrong with that. I got a great vibe from this place. Will be back!
I can't say enough good things about this campers village. Bought a back pack here 3 yrs ago and have had trouble with it as in not fitting quite right. Went in and saw Elliot couple of weeks ago and he listened to my issues and spent so much time with me adjusting the pack and did his best. I returned today and explained it still wasn't right. He remembered me and again took his time and found me the RIGHT pack! I didn't realize how many things there is in finding a proper fitting pack. I highly recommend this place and ask to see Elliot or Ken ( who is equally knowledgeable) when looking for a pack. Thanks guys :)
Visited Campers Village last Sat and again on Sunday and once again found the staff to be very helpful. There were lots of people in the store due to the 20% sale but they were controlling numbers and I never felt uncomfortable at any time. On Sunday we had Eggen (I am sorry if I got your name wrong) and last week it was Dean! Both were great in helping us decide on what backpack and gaiters to purchase and came away $350 lighter in our wallets, but I am happy with it though. We are happy with our purchases and are set for snowshoeing later this month. Thank you Campers Village!
I like this place, I really do, and the West location is very nice... however, and this is a pet peeve of mine: the "helicopter salespeople" get old fairly quickly. You can't take 2 steps without being offered help. Now this is generally a good practice but only in good measure, and I think they overdo it here. It ain't cheap either but not any more expensive that similar stores so no surprise; and they do carry good products. Last time I was there, they seemed to lack in shoe selection for men (heavy boot styles were overrepresented, but that may be seasonal).
Staff are always well informed if they can't answer a question they can find a person who does! Variety and selection in products is more diverse then let's say a Canadian Tire or a Cabelas. That being said there's more of a mountaineering and trail hiking focus rather then hunting and or fishing\canoeing.... This isn't a bad thing at all it let's a person know they specialize in a style of gear which means they care. Really cool selection in axes tents hiking sleeping bags and geral hiker craft gear. I'm happy
The staff at Campers Village are incredibly polite and attentiveness. I was able to take pictures, find deal, and speak directly with staff about inventory and upcoming store stockage. I've been to 20 different camping stores from Vancouver to Edmonton alberta, I found campers village to have the best prices, staffed with knowledge and I've suggested that all overlanders, van lifers and Nomadics like me, go to campers village, if they dont have it they will order it and let them know your an overlander, they understand.
Today was our first visit to the store and we were very impressed! From the wide selection of product, to the amazing customer service (provided to us by Laura), we couldn't be happier with our visit. We came out with exactly what we were looking for (hiking boots, pants, and bear spray) and we never felt pressured to buy anything we didn't need. Laura was pleasant the entire time, was very knowledgeable, and completely understood our needs. A great store to buy anything outdoor related, with a very decent price range.
Incredibly disappointed with the service we received. We bought several luggage bags from them and put one more on hold. They agreed to price match one of the bags when my went back to purchase it. We ended up being charged full price for the bag even though they guaranteed us it would be price matched. When we called to complain the absolutely refused to make it right and then complained we were being rude. Terrible customer service from their manager and will always chose to spend our money elsewhere.
Good selection of hiking boots and helpful staff. My wife and I both bought boots, and we are wearing them in the house to make sure they are perfect. We have a month to take them back if we don't like them. We can't wear them outside for the trial period. Good parking, bright pleasant showroom. The prices are the same as the competition. I tried some LaSportiva boots, but they were not a cushioned sole, so I bought Keen, which is stable but super comfortable after a long walk on the treadmill.
I cannot say enough about the excellent service from this business. I ordered Thule equipment through the store to fit a new vehicle that I ordered. The salesperson at the store called the car dealership to confirm car model specifications so that he could ensure all correct roof rack attachments were ordered. He also patiently walked me through the decision-making process to ensure the roof box and bike rack met our needs. Communication was clear and timely. Excellent service! Thank you!
Loved Campers Village. This is the. same place with a new name which is … different… not sure how they market tested it, probably “we want to appeal to more than people who like camping” still, I dunno it’s just a weird name- but that’s the only bad thing about this place (assuming their return policy quality of products and service etc remains the same) I’m happy to report that my last visit the staff were very helpful and the quality of products were excellent.
I was helped by Jess and she was the most helpful staff members I have come across at any location! She helped me with the sleeping bags and took the time to explain everything and give her suggestions on what would be a good fit for my trip and what is good in general, also helped me with water filters and dog accessories. She was so friendly and took the time to help me and let me know about the sale that was coming up, really appreciated all the help!
You can find some decent clearance items and once in a while the sale items. Otherwise I think it's an over priced store and MEC is your better option for most items(or online shopping). They do carry a couple brands which aren't popular but you can usually find them for less at other stores. It's a good store for the person who is looking for something specific or for those people first starting to go enjoy the outdoors as it has a bit of everything.
We've been checking out Camper's Village on and off for years. Over the last year we have noticed a huge leap in the approachability of the staff. Specifically, being able to have candid conversations about the merchandise, it's quality - it's strength and limitations, and its worth compared to price. While it is a small shop compared to the big box sport stores, the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Love the knowledgable staff. Support this business they deserve it. Most people work here because they are avid outdoor enthusiasts. Never hesitate to go ask questions. Update: More amazing news, despite the name change, the staff are still friendly and amazing! Another update: Kahtoola micros on sale rn 25% off! I met another amazing staff member today. Thank you, once again, for an amazing experience!
Don't live in Alberta, so I don't know what the in-store shopping experience is like, but let me tell you-- my online experience was GREAT! I had a few questions about a product and fit and they replied to my email by the next day. When I had further questions, they were extremely fast to respond. SUPERB customer service! My shipment came very quickly and I am pleased with my new backpack
I just recently visited the west end store for the first time to stock up on some camping supplies! What a lovely group of people working here!!! Each employee I met was super helpful in helping me find what I needed, and had such kind personalities! My little dachshund also loved coming for a visit and enjoyed all the attention she got! We will absolutely be back for all our outdoor needs!!!
Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time, we are passionate about the outdoors and are going on our first backpacking hike, D.B the Supervisor definitely helped us out, had lots of knowledge and gave us the most relative advice to what we were looking for, definitely appreciate him for the help and will be back in the future for any other hiking gear we may need to aquire
I live campers village. Certainly far superior customer service than compared to any of the other retailers. Good selection but could always be better. Sadly they very very rarely have anything that fits me since in 6'5". Rarely have size 13 and above... Still my favourite for Kuhl products when in stock. Good location on the Southside, but ridiculous location on the north side.
I highly recommend visiting during the end of the winter season (Feb/March) for some incredible deals. I have happily purchased my inReach device, MSR snowshoes, and my favourite hiking boots from here, when they were all on sale. The staff will spend hours with you helping you find the proper gear you need, and they are incredibly knowledgeable. They don't sell climbing gear.
Extremely welcome, wonderful and helpful experience. They fawned over Cordelia, found exactly what we were looking for and everything you could ever look for in an outdoors store. The location was extremely convenient for us heading to Jasper. The staff had a very positive attitude and outstanding knowledge about the products we were looking for. I can't wait to visit again!
Stopped by today to check out some well-reviewed packs in person. Absolutely fantastic staff; very knowledgeable and friendly without being high pressure. Several folks checked with us as we browsed and it was good to know that help was not far. Prices are competitive and the layout of the store is comfortable and well organized. Had a great experience and will return!
This is our go-to spot for outdoor gear. Although the staff seems to be different every time we go in, they're usually knowledgeable about the gear they're selling. It isn't a huge store, but it's rare that we have a need to go elsewhere. We have purchased several pairs of boots, outerwear, base layers, backpacks, and lots of odds and ends from batteries to tent pegs.
Not a bad store at all, however, Im not sure why they seem to be following down MECs downward spiral, but please focus less on hipster trinkets and more on real gear that works. Not all the staff is as knowledgeable as i would hope, but they can still help you find what you are looking for. 100 percent a better place to buy than MEC. They get my business when i can.
Affordable, great selection. Forgot about Campers Village for a while they've modernised their inventory in the years since I've been here. Many of the same brands as other Mountain Equipment Camping retailers and beat their prices too ;) If you're looking for a Canadian owned alternative to the big guys there's no reason to go anywhere else right now IMO.
We were sold a tent and it turned out to be a demo or something as it looked like it was put together before when we opened it. Likely an honest mistake. We called in to voice our concerns. Spoke to Katrina and she was super helpful. The customer service and selection of camping gear is amazing. We will definitely return whenever we are shopping for gear.
This is a great place to treasure hunt for high quality camping gears backed by friendly and extensive expertise from staff. I typically prefer browsing just by myself, but this time I really enjoyed learning a lot and grabbed some very handy stuff. (this sounds like a sales pitch though I'm a real customer, and this was my 2nd visit to the store)
Christine on footwear made this place my go to place now if ever I want to buy hiking shoes for sure. I will even check here first before other places for all my camping needs. Decent selection and not over prices like most places but they only seek top quality brands so if you want cheap cheap then go to Walmart haha but for real the shoes are great
100% fantastic staff! The salesperson that helped me out yesterday wasn’t able to find a particular type of soft shell I wanted to buy…he did offer other solutions and types of jackets that I might be able to find locally that day. I ended up purchasing a bunch of other stuff I didn’t necessary need but hey I was there…got some snowshoes on sale!!!
Went to the store today. Worst experience EVER! Staff proceeded to make rude and disrespectful comments about my partner when she responded to them telling them she was “fine, just like the first 5 times I was asked”. It was so upsetting to both of us that we put the merchandise down we intended to buy and walked out. I promise we won’t be back!
Awesome staff. They call me the map guy because I'm always buying a new map for new areas I go hiking lol. Any questions I've ever had has been answered promptly or researched to help me without hesitation. I am now at the point I only buy my gear at this location. If you enjoy the outdoors. This is your place for great. 5 stars hands down
Good quality products, often 10-20% more expensive than MEC. Absolutely horrible website, especially the "Wishlist" & "Shopping Cart". Added items to my Wishlist & Cart that weren't there when I checked these lists at the store. They have lots of items in the "Clearance" category that they don't have ANY in stock (so why even show them).
Breathe Outdoors is a great outdoors store. They have a large variety of goods and brands. Recently purchased a Rab sleeping bag for a fall camping trip. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The west-end store is a bit out of the way but is preferable to visit. The have yearly events with brand ambassadors which are also fun to attend.
Had to get fitted for a new pair of supportive walking shoes as per WCB. I was surprised to see that the prices in the store was very responsible and the staff very friendly and helpful. On another note...they have a fantastic selection of camping gear including a demo roof top tent all set up to see. One again really good pricing.
This is my new go-to camping supply store. I had a problem at one of their competitors stores, and was thrilled when I walked into campers village, was greeted with a smile, and given so much personal attention. Their products are great, prices are competitive, and the personal touch is hard to beat. Definitely going back!
Family business. Excellent high end outdoor gear. This is where I go for Osprey backpacks, Icebreaker merino wool base layers and ultra-light gear. Most staff are knowledgeable about the needs of clients and will introduce products within the price ranges individuals can pay. Better selection of high-end gear than MEC.
If you go here, ask for Dean! He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and spent a long time teaching us and answering all of our questions. He is very experienced and won't beat around the bush and he will make sure you are getting the right equipment for your specific body and likes. Highly highly recommended!!
I mean, pretty much what you'd expect for the most part. Outside of the obvious, they do have a pretty good selection, and the staff were knowledgeable enough to know off-the-cuff if something was out of stock or not sold there, which saves time wandering around. Pretty pleasant people to deal with as well.
I always enjoy shopping here and love looking at new gadgets for camping and enjoying the outdoors. Update. Went back today for a particular item for our upcoming camping trip. Almost didn't go in because I thought it was closed. Happily they are open during renovation and I got in and found what I wanted.
The customer service here is amazing! Everyone that I interacted with was super friendly and understanding. I was having issues with a warranty for something I purchased a year ago, and without missing a beat everyone at the shop, including Elliot the manager, did everything in their power to help me out.
Awesome. Love coming here, looks even better after the renovation. Remember when the hardware section, quick release buckles and webbing out on the floor. For future reference, order online and pick up in store. Knew what I wanted, walked right up, grabbed them and walked out. No help from anyone.
Great place to look for your outdoor gear. We found everything we were looking for for our children. Balaclavas, mitts that were warm instead of cute, toques, etc. From a small town where everything for kids is usually sold out or high end brands that cost too much for one season use.
Locally owned sporting good store that carries many items the big box store don't, such as petite size fitting clothes in certain brands, which I am happy to spread the word. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They also bend rules when they can to accommodate customer's needs.
Purchased a Optimus Polaris stove that was unfortunately nearly impossible to light using gas canister. Explained situation to Elliot. Brought faulty unit in and verified with Vince. They were both very helpful and had me on the way with a replacement unit quickly. Thanks again.
I’m all for shopping local but more than one experience with curt service at the point of sale along with the lacklustre rebrand to Breathe is leaving me flat. Lost is the nostalgia that good old Campers Village embodied…it’s starting to feel like just another American chain.
Great store. Picked up a couple items that were fairly priced with a good selection at many price points. Excellent Covid policy with all people wearing masks (staff and customers). Go to outdoor shop for anyone serious about the outdoors and quality gear. Also locally owned!
I purchased the ASOLO winter hiking boots one week ago and found the staff to very knowledgeable and engaging. The store did not have my size but brought in the correct size from another store. I cannot be happier with this purchase. Great product sold by great staff.
I have always had a great experience at this location. The staff are always so willing to help and are very knowledgeable! It is my go to store for hiking and camping needs. I have a better experience in Campers Village (Breathe Outdoors) compared to stores like MEC.
Excellent customer service! I like how they carry small sizes in women's shoes. I am a 5 and unlike most stores, this place carries my size. Keira in the shoe department is amazing and very knowledgeable with all the different styles of women's and men's shoes!
This place offers the absolute top quality outdoor gear with the best and most experienced staff in the city. If family and friends could get me a gift card to any place, this would be the place. It's not cheap, but your there for the quality, not the deal.
I was going to shop here, but the middle aged Asian guy was being rude. I love to shop in peace and when questions are asked I want precise kind answers. Very rude guy, disrespectful answers not very kind this guy...I'm sure everyone else is nice.
Thank God for this store so I can avoid MEC. Furthermore, what phenomenally helpful staff such as Brent. He was super helpful and pleasant, I would return for the interactions alone...helps that they have everything and anything else you may need!
Clothing is sorted by brand, there is an assortment of mid to high quality gear. You can find orienteering, backpacking, canoeing, hiking and glamping gear here easily. Large selection of shoes and boots. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Staff was very friendly upon arrival. One staff member ended up following us around though which usually sends me running for the door empty handed. Beautiful store! Very clean! It will give anyone that walks in there the camping itch …
Wasnt my first thought for gear but definitely will be back! Sales were great , staff friendly and helpful and not pushy in the least. Got what I needed, took advantage of the sales and got on my way. Positive experience and I will be back.
I shop here every season for my family, I can always find what I'm looking for and they generally carry those 1 off items I can't find anywhere else. Staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful. Great selection from clothing to camping.
Love the new rebrand!! Been shopping here for over 10 years and they absolutely take care of their customers. Staff is knowledgeable and always able to make recommendations suitable to your needs. No high pressure sales here! …
Had absolutely the best retail experience and service I've ever had the pleasure of. I had specific needs and the sales person was not only well informed, he was patient and took an interest in helping me. I cannot thank you enough!
Great place for camping gear, a bit on the expensive side but it’s all high end gear. My only complaint is their cash system, they must have the slowest oldest computers on earth as it takes for ever to complete a transaction.
Went in there to get fitted for a set of shoes and some walking sticks from WCB the clerk size my feet told me about the shoes and the walking sticks help me with my paperwork. Best service I've ever had for a pair of shoes
Great Local out doors store! Great products and very knowledgable sales people! These guys use their own products and have a lot of experience. Saves a lot of guessing. Been using them for years and always been happy!
Amazing selection and the staff went out of their way to help me from the get-go. They recommended a travel pack that really works for my needs and even measured me for it. Can't say anything bad about my experience.
CV always has a great selection of top brands in outdoor equipment and clothing. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and it's nice to be able to support a locally owned business with a long history in Edmonton.
Love this place, and they've really picked it up over the past few years. Used to feel like a Mum & Pop type place (nothing wrong with that), but now it's a real competitor in the outdoor lifestyle. Good job guys!!
I love this store. They have everything I need for going outdoors or even traveling (good selection of Eagle Creek). The staff are really helpful and willing to get what you need, even if it isn't in-stock.
Go to MEC INSTEAD FOR BETTER RETURN POLICY!. Bought a katdyn filteration system 2 weeks ago and was not happy with my purchase, So I tried to return it after I use once because it was just too small for
All staff were extremely helpful especially Ken who took the time to find the right hiking backpack for me. I was never once rushed and everyone was amazing to deal with. Will be back and will recommend
Great selection of camping gear and good name brands. Make sure if you need something to shop during your birthday month as they give you an extra 10% off. What a great way to treat your customers!
Always friendly and helpful staff and decent selection. Clearance section always has good deals. I sometimes have a hard time finding the right size of clothing but other than that a great store.
Very helpful staff. They helped me find everything I need for my trip. And we all very knowledgeable. Love going here and would recommend this location to anyone who needs trip supplies. Amazing!
Looking for a very specific color of water bottle after item was out of stock staff tried to help me track down the item to save me time. Thats the cutomer service that keeps poeple coming back.
Breathe Outdoors is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the customer service. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Even at busy times, the staff will do their best to serve their guests.
I come into the west end location quite a bit, and the staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is nice, clean and organized, and they usually have what I’m looking for.
I will shop at MEC, thank you. Prices are much better and staff aren’t on top of you and harassing you constantly. I will never return after how poorly I was treated by the employees here.
Great place to find all your camping needs. We picked up items for hiking and the staff had a lot of useful advice for us. You can tell they really use the products, not just sell them.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. A great place for your outdoor apparel and gear. From compasses to kayaks and pretty much everything else you will need for the next outdoor adventure.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They've adapted to the new cleaning protocols really smoothly. They also price matched my boots, so I got my Scarpa hiking boots for 25% off.
So impressed with the service I received from Brent buying cross country ski’s! Thank you! As a new skier, he took the time to explain everything to me and make the best choices.
I love the atmosphere and selection of products. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The company is locally owned which I always look for and appreciate.
Friendly staff always ready to help, nice store with good quality stuff with all sorts of brands to pick from. The manager was super helpful and gave a good deal.
