I applied for a teaching position at BGS, investing several hours into compiling my application and making sure I comply with the school's application requirements (the submission deadline had passed, but I had called the school and was encouraged to submit anyway). Nevertheless, and although I called twice to follow up, neither did I receive a submission confirmation nor any kind of other acknowledgement or feedback. I feel that such blatant discourtesy is unacceptable; after all, a simple 'thank you' doesn't cost much effort and should not be beneath a private school whose motto is nil sine labore. My impression of BGS is that of an elitist, arrogant institution, and I ask myself how such a school would manage to teach their students basic courtesy and humbleness. As a parent I certainly would not want my child to attend a school like this!

Brisbane Grammar School is a great secondary school. The school provides a good education for young men, that is second to none. BGS focuses mostly on academics but also offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities for its students, including the opportunity to compete in numerous sports and activities against other schools. As far as bullying goes, BGS has very little. Bullying is extremely rare and when it happens, the school has several systems in place for students to report these issues. Overall, Brisbane Grammar School is a great school for young men. 5 stars.

This is an okay school but I prefer a good halal snack pack with hot chilli sauce with garlic sauce. Perfect. The first bite delivers the amazing beautiful crunch of the chips followed by the tenderness of the three meats i get. It realy is the most heavenly food i have ever had in my life

Decent school however, certain experiences at the this school have reflected on my review. Teachers seem nice but are very harsh and strict. Facilities are modern but certain locations are outdated. Students very rude, swearing as I was given tours around the school.

Diligent, hardworking, enthusiastic and encouraging teachers that care about the boys. Cannot fault the school. It has been brilliant for our family. The other families we have met during our time here are lovely and all are very supportive, helpful and friendly.

Amazing school with amazing teachers. The only downside is that some students have so much academic pressure put on themselves that they will cheat in exams, leaving the few students who actually try to miss out on academic prizes E.C.T.

would be 4 stars but the garlic bread is top tier. would recommend. also the hash browns hit different in the morning after sport, put them on your egg mcmuffins. kind regards, bram bram.

Got into this school but went to churchie because it is much better and has international baccalaureate which basically gets you into any uni you would want

good school but handball standard has dropped since the 2019 year 7 cohort passed. Great facilities, students and teachers are nice, supportive environment

Amazing School!!! Never seen a better school. So kind to staff and students and gives everyone fair opportunities. It also is great academically.

E-safe makes me feel like I’m living in China, not recommended. Also the only school in Brisbane that doesn’t allow games on the laptops

there is a random chance of having your garlic bread burnt. I think its like 20% Nothing wrong except its more chewy and tough.

Elite school. A few problems with bullying but otherwise ok. They will try to get you to donate, as though they are a charity.
