Completely robotic in nature, they showed no sympathy or interest in difficult personal situations, the staff were rude when dealing with completely justified complaints from tenants. There were builders in the house for the first 2 months or so every day of which we were not made aware before we moved in, and i'm not completely sure what they actually did that was of any significance. I often felt threatened by the agents when rent payments were a day late, threatening to be removed as a tenant and charged additional fees, these claims were made to me during extremely difficult and emotionally straining circumstances of which they were aware of. Also during this difficult time personally, the agents decided to humiliate me by sending emails to the other tenants about my late rent payment as an additional way of bullying me. Overall I felt they showed no compassion for their tenants, and adopted bullyish tactics in email correspondence.

My husband and I first contacted Bristol SU Lettings when he was accepted to the University of Bristol as a graduate student. We needed a place to rent for the year, and we are moving to Bristol from the U.S. The ins and outs of renting in another country were overwhelming for us, but Bristol SU Lettings made it very easy. They were extremely responsive, gave us all the info we needed, and didn't lose patience with us when we asked lots of questions (even though they probably wanted to!). We found a lovely apartment to rent for the upcoming year, and are very excited. Agency was rude and showed no empathy for some personal situations that were going on during the tenancy - urging rent to be paid when the tenant was unable to do so, while being fully aware what her situation was. They did clearly not care about our interests and none of us felt backed up or supported. Communication with the landlord was also poor, resulting in many defects in the property going unnoticed - including a lot of damp/mould that significantly affected our health.

We have let our house through the University Accommodation Office and then the Student Lettings office for the past 23 years. When the Student Lettings office took over the whole letting procedure improved immeasurably. The whole team are a delight to deal with, very efficient, but polite, friendly and helpful. We have sold our house now, but wish them the best of continuing success in these challenging times.

Had a pretty terrible experience with this student agency, and if I had the choice to put them down as no stars, I would do that in a heartbeat. Absolutely zero understanding for students in a difficult financial situation and both Emily and Georgie have been abrupt, not understanding and pretty rude at times in their emails and phone calls. I would not recommend this agency at all.

Only negative was how long maintenance issues took to be sorted out e.g. our fire alarm kept going off at 3am and it took just under a month and multiple requests to get it fixed.
