I remember when it was Brazil bakery, I’d take the kids here (even though there were other bakeries in the area) but kids are grown so just came by to get some Portuguese staples. It’s just soulless now - zero vibe. Got a shrimp patty and there were zero shrimp in it, just the bechamel. Bread was fine. Cashier couldn’t even understand basic items in Portuguese so I had to translate for him. Oh and he “mistakenly” charged me for a large bottle instead of a can of Sumol (I bought literally 3 items and he still managed to muck it up) so the bill was $7 instead of $5. I mean, seriously? Sad end to that memory.

Great spot to go in Toronto every time I’m missing Brazil, they have Brazilian and Portuguese itens. Former Brazil Bakery, they renovated the space, sandwiches are amazing, I love the steak one, you can add different toppings on it. Donuts are better than other great known restaurants chains, pastries are really good, custard tart is my favourite. For my last birthday I ordered a strawberry and white chocolate cake, everyone loved it and asked me about the place I bought it. I really recommend this place to my friends, staff and service are amazing. The owners are in this industry for a while, and they have great expertise in what they are doing.
Spacious seating. Lots of pastries if you're into that. Very unsanitary cafe conditions, to the point where I would advise you to avoid the place. I tried getting an ice coffee. After the worker washed her hands in the right sink, splashing the water all over, she reached into the left sink to get some ice. Afterwards, she poured some very stale coffee from the open container standing right on top of the sink. You could see the sink water splash into the coffee "pot", and especially into the ice. I said "no thank you " and left. I this is how they handle the raw eggs in the pastries, I'm surprised no one's gotten salmonella yet. Food safety who?
This morning service was poor and too slow. Food and drink were ok. Cashier taking the order messed up on the order. We asked for 2 "sandes mistas", 2 "galões", and 1 custard. We had to repeat the order. She asked what type of ham. I asked what the different types are and she replied " mortadella, salami,...". I interrupted by saying those were not ham. We paid, but when at the table waiting to be served, we noticed that the lattes were not on the receipt. Back again to the cashier. Oh no problem, she said, I can do it now. Not enough staff and our cashier lacked knowledge to be taking orders.
Stopped in this afternoon. No clean tables. When one lady sat at a dirty table, a woman working sprayed and wiped that table only and left all others completely filed with dirty cups, plates take out boxes, and food stuffs, crumbs all over. I saw 4 people working, yet no one comes out to the 'dining room' section unless the customer ordered at the counter and the server delivers. Note to owner: Why build a beautiful place with huge plate glass windows.... at great expense, only to show hundreds of passersby a huge mess?
I have been coming here since I was in grade school , they have recently renovated and it is a very nice renovation. With a much bigger space and a huge seating area, also a new addition in a hot food section. I always come for thier pastries and desserts though, very authentic Portuguese style pastries , my faves are the cod fish fritters or shrimp fritters and the ham and cheese croissant. Also fresh Portuguese buns made daily. Prices are affordable, they also have pizza now! A great place! See you soon.
This place was always excellent, but what a shot in the arm this reno was! The new coffee bar is everything I ever wanted in life. 10/10 love you folks so much. :) Note: Please take the light timer off the bathroom, or extend it MASSIVELY, people have tampons, pads, diapers, to change, accessibility needs (chronic pain=takes longer to do EVERYTHING in the stall--even getting up/sitting down) No one likes being left in pitch black holding a and can't find the garbage. LOL Thank you!
I had a great experience at this bakery! The aroma of freshly baked goods welcomed me. The pastries were not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this bakery for anyone who’s looking for a spot to enjoy quality.

Thankful for the kind staff! I came in today and got bagels and homestyle buns and they were amazing. Thank you so much! I have tried many items from this bakery and I have to say they are all delicious. I would recommend the sourdough bread and the desserts as well. There is a great selection of unique and tasty treats. Enjoy!
Absolutely love it here. I’ve only been a handful of times so far but every time it’s been amazing. They make REALLY really really good sandwiches too :)

This bakery is my favourite in the city! The aroma of freshly baked treats is irresistible. The pão de queijo and coxinha are must-tries, and the brigadeiros are heavenly. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere make it a top choice for a delightful treat. Can't wait to go back!
ambiance is very nice , spacious and comfortable with great lighting , big booths and often busy with people food and drinks were average quality but the service takes way too long for your food and drinks to arrive. Need to hire more staff.
I ordered the steak sandwich (5/10). The portions of meat are small compared to the l’iAds of veggie they put in. Their staff don’t seem to friendly and open to customization. They try to rush the process. They’re also extremely under staff.
This bakery is super underrated! They deserve more attention! (although I also don't want it to get too too busy so I get to buy what I want haha) I went a few times since summer 2023. Ordered a birthday cake, tried some tarts and sourdough

Our local choice for tasty baked goods, which usually means pastries. The recent reno was great, with all the seating to have a quick snack. Must stop if you are walking around Dundas W and Dufferin. Can't wait to go back.
Food is really good but if you want to drink some coffee you have to have a lot of patience because service is incredibly slow… 20 minutes for a coffee is way too much!

Still owned but the same family. Daughter has taken over and has revamped the whole place. Everything has gotten brighter and cleaner however it has lost the cozy seating area in the back.
Excellent service and quality. Good Portuguese food and great prices. The “pastéis de nata” are wonderful. The employees are very friendly and helpful. My favourite Bakery in Toronto.
Excelente panadería a precios abajo del promedio, hablan español y portugués además del inglés , también puedes desayunar y comer en el lugar. Además venden embutidos y quesos. …
