Bought hot chips from the pony club kitchen and never got called when ready, chips were semi cold and only three quarters full, and staff not that friendly. Never supporting them again, went up to the sideshow alley area and chips were hot, overflowing the cup and the staff were super friendly.
The Brooky Show is overpriced, in saying that we go every year. The farm animals are a delight for kids, the general showground entertainment is on par with most regional shows. The bar is over crowded every year. Covid-19 requires social distancing proving impossible in that space.
SewMasters Sewing Machines sponsored the needle and craft show this year at the Brookfield Show 2019. It was an absolute delight to watch Gareth award this young 13 year old sewer with this #janome sewing machine. SewMasters know its important to give back to the local community.
A truly novel experience, good food served in the restaurant set inside the very interesting and fascinating general store, sorounded by historical buildings and amazing trees and plants. A really interesting and pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Brisbane.
Lovely outer suburban showground with a pleasant outlook. Feels rural and there's a good cafe nearby to grab a snack or drink. Was there for an event so might be a little less interesting just for an ordinary visit. Can get city buses to the door.
The Brookfield Show is an annual agricultural show held at the Brookfield Showground, Brookfield in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, in May. It is held for three days over the third weekend in May. The Brookfield Showground is listed on the
First time I've come. Weather was terrible, but not their fault. However, no real assistance for parking. I got sent around several spots, from where i could barely drive out, where there was no real parking and got abused by other people
So far one of the worst experiences I've had at any show ever. No organisation for horse competitors, full semi trucks parked next to 2shl floats. People parked in every direction with no clear markers for no parking zones for different
Did the show, very popular. Was at rodeo and felt the audience was poorly behaved, standing up in front of everyone. Difficult to ask to sit down as very reactive and self entitled. For a country show I have visited more welcoming ones.
The prescribed interests of the BF Pony Club and the BF Trust (read legal people and insurance companies) appear to be trampling over the small but growing community market in BF, denying them exposure to passing-trade on BF road.
I always like it here. I keep a star just in case it even gets better!!!! I like their prepared food, like lasagnas, etc... check their fridges Nicest people serving you as always. Best chefs ever. It always feel and taste good.
Always a great place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat, whether you want tea/coffee, something cold or something stronger. Great selection of food and a well stocked shop. Lovely spot and good service
Well maintained area and across the road is Brookfield Green and Cemetery which has some very interesting Head Stones and next door is the Pony Club Grounds.
I loved the Brookfield markets. Quite a small market, but I found what I needed and they had a lovely kids corner with story reading and face painting.
Great country show has something for everyone rides heaps of different food van's displays Plan on going next year put it on your calendar.
Good place to stop during a bike ride. The start and end of the Kokoda 46k, 30k etc events. Local show other events.
I love these grounds. If there are any events happening here make the effort as it really is country in the city.
A cosy and very friendly little country show once a year, if you're ever in Brisbane when it on Go! …
Wonderful time. Such pretty grounds. Brookfield show was a delightful experience for competitors and public .
Stop in for a Friday arvo feed and a cheaky drink. Beautiful place in the world and Brisbane. Great people.
My 2.5 years old son had a god time at Brookfield show specially at animals section and Lego room.
A beautiful site with it's own general store almost on site, and lots of shady trees to sit under.

It's a grass covered blank piece of land with a fence around it. What more do you expect!
Love going to the general store for a coffee and great breakfast
Lovely spot with lots of old country charm.
