"From my experience,The people here are somewhat helpful and not rude however if you go here to get an ID because you signed up online on IDNYC ,the documents you've selected online aren't valid enough because they require you to bring your birth certificate although (online it says you don't need one)"
"Français, nous sommes allés là bas pour un mariage, je n'avais pas compris qu'il fallait une licence papier (j'avais un N° de licence mais pas de papier) c'était un jeudi à 15 h, et on aurait dû attendre le lundi pour se marier: sauf qu'on partait le dimanche"
"Came here for a wedding shoot, so did not go through a lot"
"The Brooklyn Municipal Building is located at the southwest corner of Joralemon and Court Streets"
I came from NEW JERSEY at 3:59 to get a marriage authorization but they didn't want to answer me. I showed the time on my iPhone to a ma’am, begging to be attended, and she only said, repeating, “come tomorrow up to 4 o’ clock” at the same time that pushed me out and closed the door. It’s was big disrespectfull, because: 1) I WAS ON TIME to be attended. Doesn’t matter if I arrived missing one or ten minute to close the place; 2) She doesn’t know how hard was to me try to be there until 4 o’ clock. 3) If I’d arrive there tomorrow at the same time she might does the same with me; SO she was kicking me out and lying at the same time. 4) She is a public employer, SO it’s easy for her does it with a jerk guy that pays her salary. If it was a private service and I’d tell to her employer how exactly she treated me, maybe she would be fired. BUT IT’S THE STATE and its employers. Her superior/boss will never know how disrespectfull she was with someone. My big mistake was didn’t take her name.
From my experience,The people here are somewhat helpful and not rude however if you go here to get an ID because you signed up online on IDNYC ,the documents you've selected online aren't valid enough because they require you to bring your birth certificate although (online it says you don't need one). So, if you don't have your birth certificate don't waste your money going there.I would recommend you go somewhere else for an ID because i noticed you have wait online to give in your documents to get a ticket then wait even longer on another line for your ticket to be called, not only that but they have metal detectors before you enter the building as well.
MERCI MERCI
Came here for a wedding shoot, so did not go through a lot. However, the staff were polite, knowledgeable, the place was neat and well-organized. One random detail I noticed was that when I was exiting, I simply just said "Have a great day" to a security guard waiting at the entrance and she replied by saying "Oh my goodness, thank you so much! You too." And that's when I truly learned small things does really matter.
The Brooklyn Municipal Building is located at the southwest corner of Joralemon and Court Streets. It houses many City offices including the City Clerk (where marriage licenses are obtained), and offices for the Departments of Buildings, Probation, Finance, and Environmental Protection. The building was designed by McKenzie, Voorhees & Gmelin and completed in 1924. -nycgov
Went for a registry office wedding. Still limited to one witness (because of covid); overly cautious given the precautions elsewhere in Brooklyn. Grand building, but plain, almost austere, interiors.
Never had a good experience here. Everyone seems to hate their job. Their job is to serve the public and they just do the total opposite. I never want to come here again.
Place is a scam for lien holders they don’t answer you for weeks and want you to pay over a month or more storage till they get to your paperwork I want a refund
Ademas de las diferentes cortes, Aqui se pueden ver las parejas casamenteras haciendo largas colas o saliendo del edificio ya recientemente casados.
They have a fake number, they don't help. All they do is give you the run around, I m so tried of NY and they scamming as systems.
Doesn’t matter if you swear they will make you to pay The ticket
