"Interesting park"
"I grew up on Arch St and we would play hide and seek and other games"
"Perfect park to watch the sun sets over the ocean"
"Beautiful little suburban peak in the middle of a densely populated neighborhood"
"Wild, rustic hilltop park has steep unpaved trails and paved paths with tree roots busting through"
Interesting park. On the top of the park there is a BBQ pit and table next to it which is quite unexpected but a good thing. There are picnic like tables there also. If you bring everything you need for a BBQ, then you can have a good experience. If you plan it right and it is a beautiful day outside. It would be an outstanding experience. Also, it is kid friendly with a small play area and community garden. On one side on top of the park, you can see Parkmerced, San Francisco State University, Stonestown, and Ocean Beach weather permitting. You can take a nice hike up and down the park. There is a cemented area past the community garden. I think that cemented area could be turned into a either a skate park area or a basketball court. Other than what I mentioned, it is Ok
I grew up on Arch St and we would play hide and seek and other games. I recall the old schoolhouse that's no longer there. I moved in 1989 a little before the gangs and crack got bad. I heard an occasional body was found there. Great history with the Ohlone Indians camping there then walking to Lake Merced to fish, rare plants etc. Views are stunning. It's a hidden gem.
Perfect park to watch the sun sets over the ocean. It features amazing views of Daly City and San Francisco. The park has few picnic areas, a basket ball court, and a community garden. Does it have a grill? Yes but it’s broken! Amazing hills to exhaust your active dog in few minutes! Cons: has wild mosquitoes in the summer, beware!!
Beautiful little suburban peak in the middle of a densely populated neighborhood. This park was near my Airbnb and my girlfriend and I would have a small hiking trip to it on the evenings. It had an amazing view, great open space and easily available. Everyone who we encountered up there were all friendly and kind.
Wild, rustic hilltop park has steep unpaved trails and paved paths with tree roots busting through. A few charming old stone fences are skattered around. Top of the hill has picnic tables, a BBQ, and views through the trees. A small fenced in area has an old, tiny play structure for little kids.
The hill you climb to get to the top is a workout and then you get a really nice view! Dog friendly and plenty of space for everyone. The shaded top is a nice reminder of the beauty we live around. Also sweet swing set for kids and adults within a sandlot!!
Lovely park with a community garden and incredible views of San Francisco's famous hills as well as the Pacific ocean. It is a bit of a workout getting here on foot due to the fact that it is on top of a hilly area, but the views are worth it.
occasionally I am walking here. Presidents around here buy a small partteter in this brooks community. You can raise anything you want here, flowers, vegetables , even hens. Very interesting and warming. …
This place is pretty nice for an inner city small park. It's in a pretty quiet location. There seems to be a lot those neighborhood effort to keep this place looking good. There is a small gated area for kids.
Totally underrated, large park with a giant community garden, awesome views, and BBQ places. It needs some love by the city or neighborhood to be next level, but it's an awesome dog walking spot.
Great view of San Francisco. You can see Sutro tower, the Pacific ocean, lake Merced and the rolling hills of SF. There's a playground and a beautiful community garden. A true gem of the city
Small but vibrant local park with a community garden, wonderful views of the city in all directions, picnic benches at the top, a barbecue area, and a rather sad looking playground.
This is a beautiful spot to clear your head, let this kiddos play and just watch the sunset. There are sitting areas and a small playground.
I loved the quietness. A bit secluded, but relaxing... Enjoyed it as a chill shot while visiting my friend in SAN Francisco.
Lovely little park with great views, picnic tables, and small playground bordering a community garden. Quiet & secluded.
Really, holly and pretty area. A really steep uphit walk to get here but it's totally worth it. Keep the park clean!!
Hidden neighborhood park with 5 star view of Daly City golf course and panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
Small out of the way park with a nice BBQ grill and picnic tables. Might be nice on a warm windless day.
It's a great place to walk around and enjoy the view. One could play catch or jug around the park.
A place where I visit ever week ! Must visit during Windy and fog. Make sure to take a sweater !!
Good park for urban hiking and dog walking. Very nice view from the top on clear days.
Nice hidden small park on the hill. Just need to have a better path to get to the top
Panoramic views, great neighborhood park, my dog loves Brooks Park as much as I do.
Not nearly neat, it's time for the city planning or a city department to renew it.
Nice little spot to get a nice view and get a little break from concrete jungle.
This is in my back yard as a child. The best views in the city if you ask me.
Quiet hilltop park with bay and ocean views and California native plants.
Very nice Comminity Garden and park. Has a good view of the City.
Great view of the South side of the city and the Pacific ocean.
Our favorite place in the whole city. Love blooms at this park.
Great peaceful park in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
