Trey with Brookside Wine & Spirits was great to work with. We went with them because they have free delivery, will refund the cost of un-opened alcohol and give military discounts. I told him our guest count and what we wanted to serve, then he made recommendations on brands and quantities. He sent this to me electronically which was also very helpful! I was able to do some price-matching and his prices were very comparable (other than maybe Costco/Sam’s, but I didn’t check there). They brought, liquors, mixers and misc. needs (napkins, cups, etc). Trey made all the arrangements with the bartending company as they work together - we could have used someone else, but it was easy to just go through them.

I went in around 9pm or so as I walked in I saw 2 men looking down as if they was on their phones so i said Hello one man looked up and looked right back down the other never moved no one said hello back or asked me if I needed help or anything I started filling uncomfortable so I just walked out no one said thank you have a good day NOTHING! I will never go back and I will tell everyone I no never to go there as well. I hope the 2 men that was there on 2/13/19 around 9 read this I am very sorry for bothering you i will never do it again!

I have had a really rough day; Eric and James on the Sunday night shift just made it way better. We chatted about the new Oktoberfest beers they had in; both of them clearly have plenty of product knowledge. I told them that I needed to take an Uber and was going to wait in front of the office buildings close by, but they invited me to wait on the very cute back patio area behind the store. It is very obvious to me that their boss Alexis has hired intelligently, and trained well. Highly recommend!

Perfect for getting a beer,or beer and whisky,taking the long way home because you are not in a rush to get home. Walked down here Thanksgiving or Christmas day,there had just been a lot of snow,and they were open. I saw a male cardinal in the spring rain. The place is well stocked,the people that work there are helpful and knowledge,there is an attached restaurant to the side with a wonderful little patio,the best fried cheese curds,and wonderful wine selection. It's worth the visiting.

I worked here for six months and had a very negative experience as an employee. I refused service to John Sabates, the owner's brother, after he openly insulted me. After this interaction the owner banned me from the premesis permanently. The owner expected me to take verbal abuse from his brother for 10 dollars an hour. The employees, customer service, and selection are great. However, I recommend you do not support this liquor store because of the way they treat their employees.

Have to appreciate a place where the owner would drive through a blizzard,in a pandemic,just to be there for people,like me,that wanted a soda,and more bloody Mary mix on New Years day. The shop is well stocked,there's a chilled beer room,and when time's allow a taproom right next door. The food and service are wonderful. Went to turn in an application,was so inviting ended up having white wine with a friend,check it out when you can.

Hi there, I'd really like to go to the Brookside Wine & Spirits shop for wine soon because they sell many, many bottles of wine, beer and hard liquor every day that they're open for business. I didn't take any photos of this business when I was there during their business in the Plaza in Kansas City right now and so I'll be going back to this liquor store in Kansas City, MO on Wednesday evening after 530pm. :)

Good craft beer selection, though I almost missed it the first time because it is in a refrigerated room in the back. The beer cave is cold and away from sunlight-- good conditions for beer storage. The beer cave is quite small and is cramped if more than one person is browsing. The create-a-six-pack section usually has a good selection and is one of the largest in the area (Brookside). Prices are average.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. We live in Portland,OR but since most of our family lives in KC the party was held at Brookside Gardens. Trey Sabates, from Brookside Wine and Spirits was great to work with...we were both VERY pleased with all of his suggestions of wines and beers, as were our guest. Expensive pricing, but AWFUL customers experience. In all other liquor stores around you are welcome to take a bottle in your hands and see it closer, read the label, etc. But not here! Here you must wait in a line when a seller will become free and give you a bottle. Its even funny but there are red lines on the floor near the shelves you can’t cross. Avoid! Go to other nearby liquor stores

I purchase wine here maybe two to three times per week. The pricing is great but I wish they would carry more of a variety in the red wines. I also wish their Chardonnay was chilled all the time. The guys here are great and they often have beer sampling and wine sampling which is another great attribute of this business. Parking is so easy which makes going in and coming out so convenient.

I randomly attended a beer tasting here last fall and have been going to Brookside ever since. Every time I'm in there they have exactly what I'm looking for and often things I didn't even know I liked! Their frequent tastings, wide range and variety of inventory, and incredibly knowledgable and friendly staff is a combination you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in KC.

An absolutely fantastic location. Great beer selection for the craft beer drinker. They always have new beers in stock. They have wine tastings on Wednesdays and beer tastings on Fridays bringing in local craft brewers. The owner Mike has done a fantastic job reviving the location and has surrounded him self with a fantastic and knowledgeable staff.

Please hire this company for your wedding/event drink needs! I was a little over zealous with my planning (kept changing my mind, asked a lot of questions, etc), and this company was amazing catering to my questions and needs. Kelsey was kind and understanding. They have all of the options you could want AND they offer delivery to your venue.

Walked in on an early evening and the owner and employee both greeted me and when I asked for a specific item he knew exactly what I needed. Offered a really good suggestion! Owner was charming and really wanted me to have a good experience and come back as a repeat customer. 10/10 customer service from a person who works customer service.

Excellent beer selection in the beer cave. You can make your own six pack from a large variety of singles. They have a good variety of liquors, including unique and hard to find bottles. You can order whatever kegs with a few days notice. Alexa and Jamie were especially helpful recently, and the entire staff is helpful and friendly.

We used BWS for the bar at our wedding. Trey and his staff were awesome to work with and everything went off without a hitch. They bought back everything we didn't open and it was a stress-free experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend them for this in addition to their excellent selection.

Get to know the staff and management! They love talking beer. Plenty of selection, too. They also have crowlers now. With these, you can purchase beer from tap. They carry the local breweries that do not distribute cans and bottles. I just finished a torn label Oscar Lager, hence the rambling.

Two words: BEER CAVE. Unbelievable selection. They've got beers there that I've never seen but also have a solid collection of the classics I always want. Michael is great for a recommendation about a new bourbon to try and Trey is always steering me in the right direct for great wine.

We used Brookside as a vendor for our wedding and they were fabulous! The bartenders were amazing and quick. We ended up running out of liquor during our reception and they were quick to replenish the stock. I would recommend them for any event and will use them again in the future!

Trey was the BEST to work with. So communicative and accommodating, it made wedding planning so much easier. It was a relief not to have to worry about the alcohol - plus, he bought back whatever we didn't use! I'd recommend BW&S to anyone in the KC metro.

This place rocks because it has a BEER CAVE, that's stocked with all the craft beer you want, do I need to say more?? The young lady was very knowledgeable and friendly, and they have a tap room next door, just get over there and satisfy what cravings!!

I came here on Labor Day and got some Korean spirits and a beer. A kind gentleman named David helped guide me on what to select. They had a huge beer cave too full of stuff you wouldn't normally see elsewhere. I would definitely come back here again

Generally a well stocked beverage stock up store. I used to get my favorite beer (Michelob Lager) here but for some reason they quit having it. So I switched to Yuengling Lager, normally I'd get a case at a time, last time I went only a 12

Great selection of craft beers, and just about any other thing that you would need on a Friday or Saturday night. Every employee I've ever encountered there's been nice and going out of their way to help me. They have a customer for life!

Brookside was our wedding day vendor. We had fantastic, friendly bartenders. They were very organized and prompt in the planning process. Their policies and procedures helped the party run smoothly and everyone had a great time!

Went for their Wednesday Wine Tasting - very nice person there to tell about wines - staff also very friendly. Told me Fridays they do beer tastings - They are also expanding and will have a "separate side area with pizza + ! !
