Honestly I was very disappointed. Firstly, the service was terrible. The woman behind the counter was so rude and very unwelcoming to customers. She did not great me or acknowledge my order. After I ordered, she simply flipped the screen around to show me the tip option and corrected me when tapping my card. Like you'd get a tip lady... dream on. I asked her about what baked goods they carried on a regular basis and she said 'look at the above menu'. Zero sense of customer service or engagement. Secondly, they had white sheets of paper taped on their menu display board over items they no longer served. I ordered a BLT which was sub-par. The bacon was very fatty (I had asked for crispy), it was overloaded with mayo and the lettuce appeared to be the last of the head. The sandwich seemed like it was slapped together. For $8 - it was not worth it. I work in the area and my colleagues spoke highly about the café pre-pandemic. The website is great and I know the owner attended culinary at NAIT. I was shocked and underwhelmed of the cafe's appearance, the lack of baked goods and the horrible customer service. Additionally, the seating area was closed to customers. Sanitizer and wipes were on all counter spaces. It seems like their 'COVID' protocols are more important then customer service and delivering quality food

Excited to try a new local cafe but was disappointed on many levels. Very open space with very little seating, feels empty. Proceeded to order, small menu but that's okay. I ordered the Asian bowl with a glass of water and my boyfriend ordered the BLT Swiss and a cappuccino. We were advised to take a seat and our food would be brought to us. Our drinks arrived, the cappuccino small but tasted good, my water arrived in plastic glass, that would be too small for a child. Our food followed shortly after again....small. Asian bowl - nice breaded chicken breast, the slaw was just purple cabbage and shredded cabbage mixed with mayonnaise. The bowl was just too small for the food in it, it would have been more enjoyable on a plate or larger bowl. The BLT Swiss was nice, but the bun was sweet which savoury is what you would expect. And why would you have plastic knives and forks, you are not at a food court. So the food tastes good but some adjustments made would be a good idea. Service was nice.

I love this cafe! It has the biggest selection of interesting coffee beverages of any cafe I’ve ever been to. So if you’re tired of the same old coffee drinks, come here and try something new! I first came here in 2019 and worried that this gem wouldn’t survive COVID-19 but it seems to be flourishing today! I love the new seating and decor. It is a large, comfortable space with lots of natural light. I always come here when I am on my way out of town, headed South on HWY 2 to grab one of their AMAZING breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. Congratulations to the team for succeeding in creating something different in Edmonton! Lots of different seating options, chargers for laptop, public washroom, free parking

Well, to say they do sandwiches right is spot on. We started the morning with their cheese sandwich for me (grilled with caramelized onions ) and the Morning sandwich for the Mrs. From the perfect buns to the softest eggs these sandwiches will melt in your mouth. It us like eating tasty clouds. For drinks I had the Dulce Latte and the Mrs. the raspberry mocha. The Dulce Latte was nice and mild and did not hide the taste of my sandwich. It was very complimentary as both had caramel flavours. The raspberry mocha had a very strong flavor but so did the morning sandwich so again they complemented each other. Who doesn't like raspberry in the morning? On a side note. The happy motivations around the cafe help brighten the mood. The owners spread the cheer also with warm welcomes to all who come in. On the wall by the sugars and creams is a local business bulletin board. It is good to see local businesses supporting and promoting other fellow locals.

I've tried a bunch of their food items (Meatball Bun-wich, Cinnamon Bun, Crispy Chicken Bowl, etc.); every single one was delicious and had a great balance of sweet and salty which I really love. The Meatball bun-wich would probably be my go-to for lunch. They had a limited time Char Siu bun for Chinese New Year and that was really flavorful, possibly my favorite so far! All the food items I had were freshly prepared which is amazing. The coffee and its variations are great as well and definitely pairs up with the coffee buns they serve. I haven't tried much of their drinks but the ones I had were worth coming back for. The look and feel of the cafe is sleek and simple - perfect place for relaxing and taking a break in the middle of the work day. Very convenient for me since I work nearby. The service was great, the staff were friendly, and wait time for food and drinks isn't bad. If you're not near the area, make the trip and try the place out!

Honestly the owners are so nice & the food is good, but the lady at the front!!! I tried calling few times to make an order before coming in as I had my baby with me so wanted to just go in to pick up my order esp I know kitchen closes at 1:45. Curbside pick up is listed as an option on their website so I believe they should be answering the calls. Went in, no one’s waiting in line or anything, yet she said she didn’t answer cause she’s busy!! I asked for a sandwich & drink so she said kitchen is closed already & it was 1:35, saying kitchen now is closed at 1:30. I nicely asked her if she could check with the kitchen esp I called few times & I had to bring my baby in to order & so rudely she said no I can’t, kitchen already cleaned. Not sure how they can clean the kitchen in 5 minutes!!! No empathy, no smiles, nothing. I believe having someone else at the front greeting people would make this place even better.

I was quickly popping by for a coffee on my way out of town. I didn't notice the rice bowls weren't for another hour, but the gal interrupted sharply to let me know. I revised my order with the guy, he seemed pretty green (and hey, we all started somewhere) he spoke very quietly and struggled to remember the order. Hopefully he feels more comfortable soon. It was a long wait for my oatmilk latte and cinnamon bun which would have been okay but the latte was one of the worst lattes I've had. It was super watered down and I could barely taste the coffee. The cinnamon bun was good, not what I was expecting but was tastey and not overly sweet which I appreciate in baked goods.

*** MUST EAT - CINNAMON BUNS! *** I was here on business - I usually look for local cafe shops to try & this one was 5 minutes from my hotel, decided to try it out & it was definitely a must go cafe! PROS • THE CINNAMON BUNS ARE TO DIE FOR!! IT DOESNT MISS! • atmosphere is clean and cozy, feels like you're at home • staff or owner at the time was super friendly & helpful! • coffee is flavorful, can really taste the bean! • great location - tons of parking out front CONS • no complaints • no dine in at the moment DID I MENTION TO GET THE CINNAMON BUNS CAUSE LIKE YA - GO DO THAT RIGHT NOW 100% MISSING OUT why the cinnamon buns? they explode in your mouth when you bite into them!! argh I should of bought more. will come back here again if I'm in town for business or may even move to Calgary who knows.

We found this place while visiting my aunt and uncle. I had an iced latte with old milk and my partner had a cappuccino. My coffee was so good. Great quality beans Perfect balance of coffee, nice and oat milk. The cappuccino was perfect. He had a bltswiss-lots of bacon, good quality tomatoes, lettuce and a homemade bun! I had a Good morning. The combination was so good and that fresh homemade bun was to die for! The eggs were scrambled and so fluffy! The service was friendly and helpful. The space is cozy but open and very bright. A variety of seating options for your needs. 10/10 would recommend ! I ate my food too fast so I don't have any pictures!!

After the first bite of my Good Morning bunwich I actually got excited to eat the rest and wanted to share it with others. You know there's something special and amazing about the food when it elicits excitement. The eggs are soft and fluffy, and the pickled onions have an intense flavour that are balanced with the sweetness of the bun. I went back the next day excited to eat another one and I was satisfied again. The price of the bunwich was about $5.75 which is definitely reasonable since it's all made from scratch. Coffee is from Monogram coffee, which is a company from Calgary - the owners are past winners of the Canadian barista competition and have competed internationally. High quality goods. Service is very friendly, welcoming, humble, and caring. I will come here again and again.

Cute spot - interesting and relatively affordable eat options. The matcha latte was OK! The breakfast sandwich flavours were very good. It was served on a milk bun- which was an excellent milk bun, I’m just not sure if it’s a great fit for this sandwich- it’s all kind of 1 soft texture as the bun is pillowy soft - again well done but it’s like soft bun, soft eggs, soft avocado, sauce.. I wish the bun was toasted, which may be sacrilege but hey that’s how I feel. The milk bread cinnamon bun? OMG. Worth coming just to try it. It’s so yummy. Overall very good and I would come back to try other items :)

What I love most about Brown Butter Cafe is that you can enjoy a good cup of coffee with restaurant quality food in a cafe setting. I originally stopped in for a cup of coffee and was blown away by the meatball sandwich and how delicious it was. Not only did Michael (one of the owners) take the time to explain what was in it (in true restaurant fashion), but it was freshly made, quick to deliver and was very tasty. I wish I took a photo but will have to get one when I go back. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Michael even took the time to ask me how the food was and if I needed anything. You don't get that at a Starbucks or Remedy. If you are looking for a great place to chill or have a lunch meeting, definitely check out Brown Butter Cafe.

  • Jennifer George

The food is amazing. You needn't say more! But I will. They have 3 high chairs. The owners are so friendly! They were happy to explain what they were doing in the bakery to my 3 year old and answer get many questions. This is a huge draw! Not all local coffee shops are family friendly. I want to mention that a lot of the critical comments of this cafe are actually unfounded... I saw on the website that this was their soft opening. So the comment about plastic cutlery - they no longer do that... the menu is expanding...etc. I only just heard of this place and tried it out yesterday. We will definitely be back. I think the low star ratings should try it again! They do need more tables, though. I agree!

Finally a great locally-owned cafe in the southside! Located on 91 St. and south of Ellerslie Road (by the Summerside community), the interior is bright and welcoming, filled natural lighting; perfect for studying and meeting up with friends. They are currently the only cafe in Edmonton serving Monogram Coffee, along with their specialty in-house made buns and bunwiches. You have to try their famous Good Morning Bunwich! (I like to add bacon on mine for that extra crunch) and the iced raspberry mocha is my favourite! The cafe is owned by a lovely couple who will get to know you (and remember your order) and make you feel welcome every time! I highly recommend checking out Brown Butter Cafe!

  • Lana Bee

Rude staff. Came in looking to try their coffee and bunwiches and was not even greeted nor acknowledged upon entry, and it wasn’t busy. She didn’t smile at all, didn’t say hello and just said “we only have cinnamon buns” when she noticed we were looking at the food menu. Looked like they were undergoing some sort of renovation so maybe that’s why they were only serving cinnamon buns. But I’m frustrated that she couldn’t even explain why their menu was lacking today or even make a pleasant conversation with us? We ended up just leaving. Based on other reviews, it seems like I’m not the only customer who’s had a negative experience with this staff member. Honestly pretty appalling.

  • Carolina Reyes

Paid $7 for the most disappointing latte. I wouldn’t give this bad of a rating if the staff were nice but none of the staff greeted me when I walked in and when ordering the gentlemen at the front looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but there. The sign was blaring “open” so I got there just before close and it seemed as if I annoyed the staff walking in. Please also get your staff to try all of your menu because when asked for a recommendation between two lattes your staff said they don’t know what either taste like. How can they preach your products if they have no idea what they taste like? I don’t like leaving bad reviews for local places but do better.

  • Mandi Sharpe

Am I missing something? I ordered a flat white. It was incredibly small. I am not a coffee connoisseur. Maybe outside of large chain coffee shops or my local coffee shop, flat whites are micro mini? Perhaps they used a special brew that I am not used to? It smelled and tasted like sour soy milk. The atmosphere was not bright, clean and modern as I was lead to think through some reviews, but stale and uncomfortable. As I walked in the owners stared at me wide eyed as if they were arguing moments before and I had interrupted....you know the feeling. It was incredibly awkward. Perhaps it was an off day for them? I am puzzled by the whole experience.

I went to this cafe with a friend after seeing it on social media multiple times and we both fell in love! I had their breakfast sandwich, my friend had their crispy chicken bowl and we shared an apple pie bun for a dessert. Oh my, that egg! It was absolutely divine and I’m craving it as I’m writing this! My friend really enjoyed her bowl as well, her chicken was so tender and she loved the slaw that came with it. The apple pie bun was very unique and you could just tell that they had put a lot of love into making the filling. Overall, we really enjoyed the friendly service and the delicious food and we have already made plans to come back!

Very quaint and trendy cafe just south of Ellerslie and 91st. Very small menu, but everything on it is a winner. Portions are small, but are perfect size for a light lunch or to have with a coffee. The coffee/tea menu is amazingly well flavored, and the food is insanely good. Recommend the grill cheese, which is on a pressed bun with caramelized onions and tomato jam! Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Very clean and aesthetic look with lots of light. Only complaint is there isn't a lot of seating, so can be tricky at peak times to get a spot. There's lots of space so just a matter of using the space better. But it's a minor gripe.

  • Jeffrey A.

This place was recommended to us by a friend, and it didn't disappoint! The katsu breakfast sandwich was a new addition to the menu and was only available after 11 am. Even then we were quoted a 20 minute wait. The sandwich was so good that I didn't really care I had to wait for it. Probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had - an amazing combination of flavours. The salted toffee latte was also very well done. This is going to be a definite stop the next time I'm in town.

4.5 stars. I got the Americano and Classic BLT. You can't go wrong with Phil and Sabastien coffee. More on the acidic side for my liking, but it was nonetheless good. The bun was delicious! If you've never had a coffee bun, you have to try it. Crisp, buttery outside and sweet, soft inside. Paired with some simple ingredients, and you have a good lunch. The lettuce could be better -- instead of iceberg, I think a butter leaf lettuce would be great! It's very minimal with limited seating, but the spacious, open concept is something to be appreciated. Doesn't feel cluttered, and still inviting. Recommended.

  • Devon Tamagi

Excellent Food. Excellent Coffee. And the best service i've ever had in a coffee shop. The sandwiches are different, they are slightly sweet due to the sweetness of the bread. I personally like it a lot, the contrast of a savory sandwich with a lightly sweet bread is good. But if its not your thing, its fine. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and remember you order. The cinnamon buns are a must-have, honestly some of the best I've ever had. They are a little different (a theme with this place), but they are amazing. Check this place out and don't forget to get a cinnamon bun.

LOVE this cafe. I will be back for sure. I got the egg bunwhich that had egg, avocado, cheese, pickled onion, and spicy mayo on a homemade, sweet bun. It was so delicious and fresh. I also got a pumpkin chai. Wow. It was also incredible. I had a little chat with one of the owners, who was so friendly and lovely. The cafe was very clean, and comfy seating.

This is an absolutely fantastic coffee shop! They have an amazing 'good morning bunwich' breakfast sandwich and tasty cinnamon bun on the breakfast menu. For lunch I enjoy getting the crispy chicken rice bowl. They have a large menu of delicious drinks to choose from and also a rotating seasonal menu. We get coffee here a few times per week and enjoy every visit. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. Currently they are only doing takeout at this time.

Food is good but the lady on the front is very rude. She almost never smiles or greets. I asked the lady to switch my order from stay to go because the restaurant had no seating and I did not notice it untill later. I was so taken back by the disgrunted look the lady gave us. I think they are too confident about their food and taking their customers for granted and feel they can treat them however they want and snug it under the rug. Guess what, these things catch up. Sooner or later…

I met a friend for coffee around mid morning. The service was prompt and the drinks were enjoyable. The atmosphere of the seating area was a bit sterile and empty, but not unpleasant. This isn't a cafe with deep sofas for lounging in. We visited for about an hour and got on with our day. It was a good visit. The only real complaint about the Brown Butter Cafe is their relatively short hours. They're closed by mid-afternoon which is somewhat understandable given their location but also a bit limiting. If you're in the area is worth a try.

I don’t even want to review this place because I don’t want other people to know how good it is! I want to keep it all to myself! Great food and coffee. Vibe is very friendly, and chill. This is a place I would recommend if you were stumped and wanted something tasty but healthy at the same time. There's not a lot to see when you walk in but that's where it takes you by surprise when you indulge in their sandwiches. Only downside for me is that they closed fairly early for m (3:00pm). However if you manage to be in the area I would definitely take the time to make a pit stop here for sure as you would not be let down.

  • Linley

No dine in at this time. Limit of 7 people in the store at a time. Their menu is limited at the moment. They put away their regular menu and have a small food and drink menu. My first time here and I loved their Good morning Bunwich! The bun they use is so soft and the sandwich is packed nice and tall. They are active on Instagram and have specialty buns they offer as well but it is unfortunately only available with preorder the day before. I am excited to try more food and drinks here.

  • Jennifer N

I ordered the veggie sandwich and conceptually it’s nice but the bun was just too sweet. I think they use the same buns as their dessert buns which makes it a bit sweet. The price is good but the sandwich is a bit small if your hungry. Nice atmosphere and staff but they could have executed their sandwiches better and need to stop using sweet buns for savory sandwiches. The decor is nice and it’s probably great for dessert but their savory menu leaves something to be desired.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Brown Butter Cafe for the first time for brunch a couple of weeks ago. It’s a beautiful space with lots of sunshine and amazing coffee + food! It also seemed like a great place to go sit and relax. I was greeted by one of the owners and she recommended their Good Morning Breakfast Bunwich. I can easily say that it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back with friends to try more on their menu :)

  • Michelle F

Went here for a meet up with my friend and our small children. The service and food was great. I had the Chai Latte and my friend had a London Fog. We tried a bunwich too and it was delish! It is kid friendly as in you can bring your kids, but there aren't any areas for them to play or activities for them to do - just as a heads up as we had the impression that there would be something for the kids too. Fantastic spot for a yummy meal or a coffee with friends.

  • Anna Leonhardt

I would literally eat at your cafe twice a week except for the fact that the sweet bread is just not my thing. I love sweet and savoury but it’s over powering. I’m disappointed that you won’t add the option to have a non sweet bun especially for the fact that your husband said it would be something you guys were going to add in the near future (which was when you first opened). If you had a second option for a bun I would definitely say 5 stars!!!

  • Bradley Peirson

The Good Morning bunwich is possibly the best tasting breakfast sandwich in town. Worth the trip just for that. The BLT Swiss is good too with a generous portion of well cooked, crispy bacon. My wife and I ordered one of each bunwich on our visit so we got to try both. Take out only for the time being but looks like there will be plenty of room to sit in after they open for dine in again.

I feel like I am repeating many other people when I say that the good morning bunwich is amazing. It is scrambled egg with cheese, avocado, pickled onion and spicy mayo on brioche. It was phenomenal and one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten. Their chai latte was also excellent and I will definitely come back. They are in a business building on the bottom floor around back, so a little obscure, but worth looking for.

  • Miles Malbog

This cute little cafe has the best raspberry mocha I've ever had. Well, maybe the only one I've had, but it's definitely something I come back to whenever I can. That is my one issue with the spot: they're open on office hours currently, so if you work the same hours, you're out of luck if you wanna go. The one sandwich I tried (a meatball bunwich) was to die for too. I'd love to go more often... if only they were open on Saturdays.

  • Natasha Mager

Absolutely splendid experience! My boyfriend and I were out for a bite to eat, And coming here was such a good decision. The food was delicious; it was high quality restaurant food -- with a beautiful combination of flavours -- in a calm cafe atmosphere. The couple that owns the cafe is so sweet and friendly, and offered a smores bun to us because it wasn't too busy, which was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come again

What a delicious surprise! The espresso is spot on and the cappuccinos are perfect. If you have time to fill your belly than the bunwich is a must try. The buns are baked with a hint of espresso and have a wonderful sweetness to them. The toppings are also fresh and delicious. Now the staff, you couldn't ask for friendlier people! I strongly suggest that if you're down by ellerslie, and in need of coffee don't miss these guys.

Staff was not very friendly and didn't really answer questions and then when trying to confirm the drinks on the tray as there was 3 was fairly rude about it. No dine in which was disappointing and won't be returning until there is. When asked when they will have seating stated "renos" and "don't know" I love to support local small businesses but won't be returning. Drinks were good. But the rest was not great.

This is a great place to get work done, study, and just hang out with friends. The food and drinks taste excellent while maintaining a good price. The atmosphere here is amazing, everyone is very friendly! The owners and staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met which is one of the reasons why I always come here. I would 10000/10 recommend everyone come here and try some of their drinks and food.

I love Brown Butter Cafe for their food. The morning bun and bowls are worth it alone. Sadly their lattes are consistently not good since the guy who used to also make them seems no longer be there. They need a properly trained barista who is passionate about making a perfect latte. I used to go a few times a month, but now I go maybe once a month.

Love this place. So clean and the breakfast sandwich is the best in town. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because they need more tables. We had to wait for a table as there are only about five or six tables, a bench and two wing chairs at the front. There is room to definitely add tables. I see there is a lot of take out, but this place is so good more tables will benefit the attraction.

I finally had an opportunity to visit the Brown Butter Cafe, I had heard so many great things and I was not disappointed! There was amazingly fresh and delicious food, a friendly team greeting me with a smile, and the welcoming casual atmosphere really made my experience a pleasure. Excellent excellent breakfast brunch or lunch place. Place was clean and cozy. Staff friendly. Washrooms clean. And the place had a small town vibe about it. People who came in knew the workers or the owner and everyone was making small talk. Now I haven't even gotten to the food. The sweets were delicious. And the savory sandwiches were even better. Will come back definitely.

Beautiful and modern space. Great drinks here! The dolce latte is probably the greatest thing I've ever had. Great place to meet a friend. Would be nice if there was a little more seating as it gets busy. Also, it would be great if they had some gluten free treats for celiacs but I understand it's a small place. My friend had the s'mores but and she said it was to die for!

My friend and I stopped by this place as our first stop in the city (we're from out of province). After a long drive, the friendly and warm staff were much appreciated. They were helpful in answering our questions about the menu, prompt with their service, and etc. They had delicious food as well, and it was an absolute pleasure. I hope to visit again someday!

I love going to this place on my days off. My go to sandwich is Good morning, along with the iced raspberry coffee. I love the mac and cheese as well - so unique with the ramen crust. The people are very friendly, especially the owners who are very lovely. It is a nice place to hang out at, due to the nice open area with ample lighting. Highly recommend!

  • Stuart McDonald

Ordered a latte and meat ball sandwich. Total came to 16 dollars. 18 with tip. I was taken back by the price but assumed I would get my fair share of food. The meatball sandwich was on a small home made bun. It was not very filling at all. Though good quality, just didn't match the price. Atmosphere inside the cafe feels empty. I assume it is unfinished.

  • Grant Willey

I had the Good Morning Bunwich back in November when I was passing through Edmonton. To this day I still think about that sandwich. It is thee best breakfast sandwich I ever had. Perfectly fluffy eggs, the delicious bun, tasty mayo and the unique topping of pickled onions, it just comes together... yum!

The food here has beautifully layered tastes and textures, so each bite is an experience. Even something as simple as a BLT bun contained a lot of pleasant surprises. The serving sizes seem a little small at first but there's a lot of flavor packed inside and it's surprisingly filling. I only wish they had longer hours so I could visit more frequently.

  • JP Angeles

This place is fantastic. Fresh sandwiches and great service. Had the BLT Swiss and the freshly baked bun itself was amazing. Even treated myself to the s’mores dessert. If your looking for a new clean and fresh environment this has got to be your go to spot. Very well done!! Mike and Heena the owners were there to ensure you were completely satisfied.

  • Anumeet Kaur

Food and coffee is good but front end staff really bad, doesn’t greet properly. She gave us so much attitude when we asked our coffee to be ‘to go’ instead of ‘to stay’. Didn’t even say ‘ok’. Won’t come here again.

Food was so amazing that I forgot to take a photo before eating it. Aside from the food, the atmosphere of this place is warm and welcoming. Staff is great and provides exceptional service. Brown butter is definitely a place to hang out with friends/family, or even a place where you can get work done. 10/10 would definitely recommend coming here.

  • Emily Smith

I go here relatively often and everything I have ever ordered from them is amazing. The Good Morning breakfast bun is soo tasty, (usually what I order) and it has a soft and fresh bun, fluffy egg with avocado, pickled onions and a spicy type of sauce. Delicious! Their coffee is also very flavourful. I highly recommend this locally owned business!

Super nice place. Very chill atmosphere. We felt very comfortable. Great food. Pleasant staff. Several different seating options depending if you want to relax with a friend or just alone. Definitely will return.

I stopped in for a latte and breakfast sandwich to go. I got the Lavender vanilla latte and a sandwich, both amazing! This place is completely out of the way for me to drive to, but I would go back for more!

Amazing coffee! If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend mocha raspberry. I usually stick to specialty coffee, but the food is quite good as well. Never been dissapointed. Friendly staff and also local business. I don't live near this location, but it's just too good to pass up when nearby. Please open a location in Sherwood Park!

  • Tallitha Campos

Their specialty drinks are a must try. I had the Raspberry Mocha and Peppermint Hot Chocolate paired with the Apple Pie Bun. The raspberry mocha was the most delicious flavored coffee I tried. Located near a pediatric clinic you will find parents with kids hanging out there. The space is wide and clean but it could be layouted differently.

I like sandwiches named good morning here. I enjoy it often. But on September 9, I called for a reservation for seven people. She said she doesn't get a reservation. Even I asked twice. But there was a reservation table today. What is the standard of reservation? When I asked that the staff said it is the owner's mind. Very unpleasant.

  • Jeff Vanelle

Good coffee and excellent sandwiches. The "good morning" was such a treat Brioche bun. (might even be home made?) Avocado, tanguy mayo, pickled onions and a generous portion of excellent scrambled eggs, definitely not from a premixed carton, and I'm pretty sure there was cream in there. The BLT was very good too according to my wife

Excellent espresso (Monogram beans!), wonderful atmosphere and the food is fantastic. Most importantly, service was swift and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Visited here for the first time today and was super impressed with the quality of food and the prices. I got a filling, beautifully prepared breakfast and latte for $11! This place is truly unique and the owners definitely take pride in their product. It is right near my office ... I may need to skip breakfast at home more often!

Never been here before, but when i tried the Good morning bun-wich. I thought that it would be the same sandwich like others but no. It's the best. MUST TRY❤️

Just finished the Sunny Morning Bowl and went to HEAVEN! Every ingredient was thought out, seasoned perfectly and made fresh to order. I am absolutely in LOVE with this cafe! The owners are so caring and sweet. If you have not been here before and are thinking of trying it out GO! You will not regret it! Absolutely amazing!!

I ordered an iced matcha latte and I paid $7 for basically just a cup full of ice and milk. Worst iced matcha I ever had. On top of that, I had to wait 30 minutes and the atmosphere was not friendly at all.

Had a great brunch here a couple times now. The coffee is AMAZING and I like how you can order either breakfast or lunch items. The food is all homemade (you can tell) and tastes incredible and fresh/healthy. Thanks to Michael for personalizing our experience with a special birthday treat not even on menu! Will be back

When you come in you will be welcome by strong minty aroma?? If you have a sensitive smell just be cautious coming in. Aside from that the set up is very cozy and the staff is friendly. Its a good place for studying. Their drinks are top notch. Highly recommended.

Nice coffee and lunch spot on the edge of nowhere. Which is a good thing, because there isn't much else around.... I recommend the Korean beef rice bowl, and the coffee is fresh made to order. It's been busy whenever I've gone, so I'm not the only happy customer!

Very cute cafe with really lovely lattes! Had the lavendar vanilla latte which was amazing. Also had the spicy pork bowl which reminded me of the Korean food I get often in Toronto. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Edmonton!

Awesome staff! Delicious food! The overall atmosphere of the Brown Butter is super chill and I go here to study, get work done, and meet up with others for coffee. The staff is super friendly and they get to know you and make sure that the only interaction with them isn't just a transaction at the counter.

  • Lisa Nyikabe

I went to enjoy a bunwich and coffee, there was no seats available unfortunately. A few people had spots saved and others had the bar stools compromised so no one could sit beside them. Not the cafes problem at all, but the customers could have been more thoughtful.

Hands down , my favourite cafe. The staff are so kind , and are there to help you find your perfect selection ! The espresso is rich and smooth. Absolutely the best there is. The prices are wayyyy worth the product. The ambience is very warm and welcoming. Perfect place to come read a book ! Magnifique!.

I love the location and the look of the cafe but I do feel it is a bit echoy in there which makes having conversations a bit hard. I had the good morning breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic! The owners are super nice and you can definitely tell that they're striving to make their customers happy.

I just love everything about this cafe - from their service to the taste of foods. The interior is very minimalistic and modern. Its bright tone brings good vibes to the customers. Their bunwiches are the best and I crave it almost everyday. It's authentic and original. I highly recommend it!

My first time here this morning. Tried the morning bunwich.....delicious!! The bun has a sweetness to it paired against the backdrop of the pickled onion and spicy mayo it's a wonderful contrast!! The best breakfast I have had in quite some time. What a wonderful local business …

  • susan Eapen

Everyone here is absolutely delightful! Their morning bunwich is one of my all time.faves and their raspberry mocha. Whenever I go I always he great service and great conversation. The owners and staff treat me so well, I feel a part.of their family! Thank you for giving us this!!!

I live in the northside and only had the chance to go a few times to Brown Butter Cafe. I often think about the bunwich they have and how amazing the flavours go together. I would recommend this unique cafe to anyone that wants to try something different then the average Starbucks.

  • Mark U

An excellent place for morning coffee. We enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and cinnamon bun - a bit different style than usual but great nonetheless. They have a couple of tables out front to enjoy your coffee. Seems to have a consistent following and their service was very friendly.

  • Gene Yong

Great customer service. Was greeted at the door immediately. Felt very welcome. The buns are very unique it will make your tastebuds sing. The coffee is done with the right temperature therefore the taste of the beans will make you dance. Definitely my favorite cafe in Edmonton.

  • Paul Pflanz

Nice space, friendly staff… but no to-stay mugs - only disposable paper cups. Weird. I thought everyone was aware of the need to conserve & reduce waste in the world today. I miss Sorrentinos.. :(

2 words: Cinnamon buns. They are incredible! Love them. And some of their bowls are soo good. I've always enjoyed my coffee beverages as well as the atmosphere. Now if you guys could just open up a joint on the west end I could actually visit more!! please and thank you :D

  • Candace Chamberlain

Wonderful little cafe. Their coffee, sandwiches and bowls are delicious. If you want to by pass the chain coffee shops you need to stop here. They're a small cafe only open Monday to Friday. For a treat try their cinnamon buns. Everything we've had here has been fantastic.

Staff were incredibly rude. Breakfast sandwich bun was disturbingly sweet and combined with the pickled onion not great. Drinks were alright We were super excited to try this café out but won't be returning. Disappointed

Met a friend for afternoon coffee and was quite taken with cleanliness and abundant natural lighting. The server who delivered our coffee was very friendly and personable. Enjoyed my latte and on my next visit it will be a morning coffee to get in on the homemade breads!

I used to love the MIL pork even with low tolerance for spicy food. Now, they changed it a bit like with mushroom and it got spicier to the the point I can’t even enjoy it. That’s unfortunate.

This cafe was a very nice surprise find for me. They have one of best cinnamon buns I've tasted, and the breakfast sandwiches have a freshly baked sweet bun to compliment savory. They are also currently serving Phil and Sebastián roasts, which are always excellent.

Love their green tea! My husband's also a huge fan of their white chocolate mocha. Their regular mocha uses a really nice, dark chocolate, which means it's not as sweet . I haven't tried their food yet, though. Also really friendly owners and service. …

I bought the dulce latte, it was so darn good! The staff are very friendly. The decor is so modern & I love the cleanliness and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming. If you want to sip on some coffee & read a book, this is a great place to do that!
