As a woman who is absolutely ignorant about vehicles - but takes care of her stuff - and just wants an HONEST place I can trust my vehicle BLINDLY to, I am so lucky to have found a trustworthy, competent shop! I came to Bruce Stewart’s after experiencing being ripped off from a national chain in regards to an oil pan replacement… I was told offhandedly by this chain that I was going to need a complete engine rebuild, and I decided to get a second opinion. I heard about Bruce from my coworker – thanks, Kent! – and went there solely because I was told he was trustworthy and would tell me what was actually going on with my vehicle. His shop took the time to do a complete look over and helped me determine that not only did I not need an engine rebuild, but that the original work had not been done correctly. He not only fixed the oil pan properly, but also did work on other maintenance things. So pleased! Surprisingly, a few weeks later my check engine light came on. During the Christmas holidays! He personally took my vehicle indoors when they were closed right after the tow, and fit me in Tuesday’ morn! It was a small issue that he fixed right away. All this for the same (or less) than the national chains. And… after having every single thing done to my vehicle clearly and effectively explained to me, I have absolute confidence in this shop! You won’t go wrong here. Absolute confidence!

Bruce Stewart Auto is the BEST auto repair garage in Edmonton I swear!!(I've lived here most of my life!) I randomly called Bruce @6pm after work; when coming home, my signal & brake lights weren't working. He said to me, "how fast can you be here!".. I was amazed and he fixed this in 20 mins; was able to get to work the next a.m... I then needed a torn CV boot/axle repair & my engine was leaking oil. When I arrived, they had a Courtesy car ready for me til mine was done the next day!! I've NEVER been provided such great service!! ☺️ He also found my brake hoses had a bulge & needed replacement, which put my total bill over what I could afford, especially being now just before Christmas Bruce & Leanne adjusted my bill to make this work for me, I'm so GRATEFUL TO THEM and am so blessed to have found such an HONEST, OUTSTANDING auto repair place as this!! Extremely friendly and personable people. My civic had unfortunately met its end. So the visit wasn't due to pleasantries lol. Dealing with normal people was definitely a nice part of the experience though. I didnt have to do anything other than get it there. They took their own time during break to take a look and offer a pre assessment to see if I even wanted to pursue attempting to repair my car. Which of course I did. But receiving a call before they even started to work on it and ask if it was ok to work on based on what they've seen. I've never had a mechanic take a look for free before, let alone a licensed mechanic shop. So that was quite unexpected in the best way. Honestly this was probably the best mechanic shop I've ever encountered. Highly recommend if you're looking for people who are honest, straight forward, and won't charge you for something unnecessary or do work on your vehicle that will be a mystery charge when you go to get it.

Absolutely would recommend! After being frustrated with several mechanics in Calgary and then moving to Edmonton, I was encouraged to visit Bruce Stewart's Auto by a family member with mechanic experience for my power steering problems, and was glad to find a trustworthy place. Bruce Stewart and his wonderful staff always took the time to explain what needed to be done, why, and when, and were willing to work with me regarding timing for repairs for my 2006 SUV crossover. They were able to work within my budget, honestly recommending what should be prioritized, and never pushed me to have unnecessary work done on my vehicle. They also have late hours on Wednesdays, which is great with my work schedule. I will happily continue to go to Bruce Stewart's for tire changes, oil changes, and any future mechanical needs, and would recommend them to anyone.

Great service quality repair. I dropped off my Honda in the morning with a suspension thumping coming from my front right hand side and jumped into a courtesy car to begin my day in outside sales. I came by at lunch and they showed me the issue with a reasonable estimate. I picked my Honda at the end of the day and returned the courtesy car. The reasonable repair price and the courtesy car made my day seamlessly easy to get this done. If you’re a busy work a day person like me, you don’t want a shuttle or worry about pick ups and drop offs. I highly recommend Bruce, Mike and the whole team there.

Best mechanic shop you'll find in Edmonton. These guys go absolutely above and beyond. They made everything so much less stressful for me when I brought my car in and found out it was at the end of its 20+ year lifespan and I needed a new one. They helped me coordinate getting rid of the old vehicle and even helped me look for a new one. I put a deposit on a vehicle contingent on an inspection and they got me in the very next day even though they were short staffed. And the fact that they have free courtesy cars for you to use is just the cherry on top. HIGHLY recommend!!

They use high quality parts, which cost more upfront but stand the test of time, they do quality work, are always on time, can explain any issue to me in a language that I can understand and always let me know the good and bad of me choice to do work they suggest or choosing another direction.
