Wow! Our team was left speechless! What an amazing experience! We had our office Holiday Party at Bucco this year and will definitely be returning! The planning process was extremely simple, and Jessica is an absolute breeze to work with! From the moment we connected she took care of us with the utmost attention to detail and positivity you just can't beat. When we arrived our tables were arranged and ready to go, welcome drinks were displayed and all they needed from me was the okay to start. Such a huge relief off my plate as the planner, Jessica had everything under control! The service from our 2 servers, Demi and Sebastian, was top-notch, they were both extremely attentive, prompt and friendly. The food was spectacular and made its way to us in a very timely manner. As an Italian, it is incredibly hard to find authentic Italian flavours and food here in Edmonton. This pizza is the closest I have had to real Neapolitan pizza, the kind that flops when you hold it up and has that nostalgic charred flavour on the bottom of the puffed-up crunchy crust. 10/10 recommend! As you can see from the photos, everyone enjoyed the food! With a 4 course meal, bottles of wine, welcome drinks and the whole nine yards, we came in UNDER budget. My team was incredibly impressed and thinks I am a superstar, which I owe all to the Bucco team! Don't sleep on this one! Book your next party here and you won't be disappointed! Thank you so so much to the Bucco team for making our party a huge success and we look forward to visiting again in the future!

Vegetarian options
Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from! I was pleasantly surprised each option is indicated on the menu so there is no wondering, which is helpful!
Dietary restrictions
Any and all dietary restrictions were accommodated at no extra charge. We had ordered a salad family style that had pork in it and Jessica ensured they made separate individual salads for those who had that dietary restriction. Super accommodating!
Parking
Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Easily accessible. Parking is also free which is nice when you're going out for dinner.
This is a good place for Italian without being fancy. Just straight casual setting. The food is good. We ordered three dishes (antipasta, Secondi and dolce). Sorry if I used these Italian phrases as I been taught by Italian owner/chef of a typical Italian meal structure. For antipasta, we ordered the mussels to share. The mussels taste good; however, the mussels you may need 3-4 pieces of bread to soak up all the tomato sauce. Also I felt that the mussels was warm not hot as I suspect the dish was sitting at service but was forgotten for a bit until being served. Next my Father ordered pasta (primo). I tried my Father's pasta and it is good. I dare say better than Vaticano Cucina. My Brother and I shared a Grigliata Mista (Secondi). The various meats on this dish tasted very good. This dish is cheaper than West Side Vivo. I was kinda surprised with the porchetta as I thought it would be wrapped in prosciutto not regular bacon. The sauce I felt is unnecessary as you should let showcase the meat and the spices used on that dish; as I barely used the sauce only for my fries I used the sauce. One thing the Mista dish is missing is a pasta (primo) of some sort. Perhaps a small or medium pasta dish for any grill dishes. Then I think this dish would be perfect and I would rate it a 10/10. Next time I would buy a pasta dish to share if I decide to order something from the grill section. Finally Dolce (dessert), the dessert is good overall. Although I prefer the ricotta cake but I was surprised with Bombolini as I had low expectations with that dish. Also I did not know buying an Americano comes with two biscotti. Even the server commented that this the way Italians have coffee (caffe) with their dessert. She rarely sees other customers doing that. The server is good as we initially thought that someone forgot about us. However, she came by and apologized to us and explained that she was busy at that moment. I would come back!
I came here recently with a good friend of mine to catch up together. We had seen the amazing reviews about this place and were excited to try something different (as we have never been here before) only to be disappointed and frustrated with the entire experience. To start the service, our waiter could barely give us the time of day or he was hovering watching around us while we just trying to sit and mingle. It was truly a nuisance and felt like I couldn’t have a moment to breath and just relax. He didn’t smile once and was overall rude and very rushed although we came in and there was barely ten people in the entire restaurant. Once decided on options we got our appetizer which was mediocre at best. We had the truffle fries, which were cold and hard. During at about the halfway point a gentlemen walked in and whomever the lady was on the bar seemed to be giving him an interview in the middle of the restaurant? Both were very loud thus again destroying any atmosphere that this restaurant had to grasp on to. When we eventually got to our main course the pizza I had (The Margarita) was so greasy that the sauce and the cheese were quite literally sliding off. On the other pizza, the onion was absurdly large and in bunches rather than evenly spread across her pizza and was burnt all across the bottom. Thirty dollars down the drain. Overall I would not recommend to eat here. Do not waste your money or time on this mediocre place.

My wife & I decided to celebrate our 18th anniversary at Buco and were not disappointed. To start we Ordered from the Assaggini (Little Tastes) menu. We went with the small which consists of 3 choices. We had Arrancini: crispy risotto balls. Bacon involtini & PROSCIUTTO Mozzarella ball. Soooo Delicious! For dinner she had the mushroom Ravioli and I had the braised Beef. The presentation on the braised beef was incredible. So rustic. Roasted Veg & potatoes were flavorful as well. The greens were flavorless. I’m guessing they were just tossed in EVO. The star of the dish was exactly that. The beef was so tender. Literally melt in your mouth. Very happy with my choice. My wife had the Mushroom Ravioli which was tasty as well. She was happy with this but regretted not ordering a protein with the dish. I shared my braised beef and she said that it completed her meal. We suggest if you’re ordering ravioli to ask for a protein as well. It was Thursday so the special was Ladies Night. Bellini’s and Sangria. 2oz cocktail. We would highly suggest asking the server to make them extra slushy as it melts very quickly. To finish we had the Raspberry Ricotta Cake and a scoop of Vanilla Bean Gelato. Soooo delicious! It comes warm and dense with a moist center. A must have. The waiter was friendly and attentive but very busy. Do not expect small talk with your server at Buco as they a very busy restaurant but that’s okay. The food speaks for itself. Two thumbs up
I want to give it a 4 out of 5, but it's just not quite there, yet. We had two pizzas (funghi and salmone) and two pastas (rigatoni + meatballs and the pappardelle). The funghi pizza was delicious. With so many different types of mushroom on one pizza, there was so many rich earthy flavors throughout. The types of mushroom are: crimini, portabellini, oyster mushrooms and some truffle oil. All of which pairs well with the fontina cheese. The salmone was good, but could've been better. I would say that the salmon pizza at Leva is better. Mainly because they give more salmon and capers. The smoked salmon was not over done, but still retained that smokey flavor and soft texture. If only they gave more smoked salmon for that price. Both pastas were good, in some sense. They had a perfect al dente spring to each bite; I just can't say anything bad about the texture. The flavors held back the dish -- it was overly salty. Although the veal meat balls/Pomodoro sauce, and wild game ragu were made well, it was over seasoned. Which then eventually overpowers the whole dish as you continue to take bite after bite. I found myself drinking more water than I should've. Overall, the price point might be higher for some people (all the dishes we got we're priced at $22 aside from the funghi at $21), but the potential is there.
Came in today with a friend for a hot chocolate and dessert. Anyways, I asked the host if they have hot chocolate and she looked at me all confused, I dont know if she understood english? A host should at least be proficient in English. Then another male coworker came and told me they dont have hot chocolate with attitude and like he wanted me to leave. No mention of other drinks they have, nothing. That was weird because every italian restaurant I’ve been to has hot chocolate. So now Im looking at the menu and the Windermere menu clearly states they have “Hot Cioccolata.” If they said they were out, that would’ve been fine. But acting with attitude and saying “we have NO hot chocolate,” like its the weirdest thing in the world to ask was unprofessional. Terrible service, makes me never want to come back. Shame, hot chocolate wouldve been great in this cold weather.

Pizzas were very good. Especially the crust. However service was terrible. The waiter was nowhere to be found when we came. Finally he showed up rushing us to take seats without offering us any choice. (Restaurant was 1/4 full so therec were plenty choices. Next, he brought water and 2 dishes which were dirty smudged with visible cheese and grease. He walked away very quickly to the inside of an almost empty restaurant. We were sitting outside where only two tables were taken. Finally we were able to get clean dishes when I have found another help inside. There was no apology from the waiter who was to busy with doing nothing. In addition his overuse of cologne was not adding any good to our experience. This was our second visit to thid place and we were disappointed this time around. The downtown location gave us far better experience.

Stopped by at a recommendation of a friend. The atmosphere was initially very interesting but soon found I was yelling when trying to talk with the person across from me. It was not totally packed, more or less 75% full based in the seating capacity. The food also was only Okay. The pizza we ordered had a great flavour combination and the Smokey flavour of the bread came through well however the center of the pizza was somewhat soggy and paired with some dull utensils meant the pizza did not hold together well. We did order a desert which turned out great but nothing to go out of the way for. The drink menus was also refreshingly well put together with some good variety. Considering the price of the pizza and the dining setting we expected somewhat of a different experience. Not terrible but nothing terrific.
We went to Buco for a girls night. It has a nice, casual vibe and I like the setup. The food is average but overpriced for what you get. The service is decent but our waiter made us split our own bills. Apparently it was too much work, even though none of us shared anything. He also forgot part of an order (we reminded him but it still never came) and charged us for a dessert we didn’t order (which we told him about but he told us to keep). My one complaint is that we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity, even though there was only seven us, and that they didn’t tell us the automatic gratuity when we booked the reso. Overall, I give Buco a 2.5/5. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

Food was extremely fast. Appetizers hit the table within 6 minutes and were hot n fresh. We friend the arranchini, meatball, and prosciutto mozzarella ball. The portions were a touch small but still worth it with the three deal they offer My main (pictured) was the rigatoni meatball dish. The sauce was nicely balanced with being to acidic or overpowering the meatball/cheeses. My wife tried the mushroom gnocchi, from the two bites I tried it had a great taste, the truffle oil added a lot of nice flavour. Our server (Sebastian) was quite nice and very on top of things as well. Overall a great experience we will likely be back for to try either a happy hour or a daily special.

We recently enjoyed an absolutely fabulous 75th birthday dinner for 38 people. The food was out of this world, especially the Arancini appetizer and boneless red wine short rib medallions — the wine choices were perfect as well. With the wonderful advice and recommendations from general manager Jessica and the upbeat competence of her servers, our party was provided with an efficient, enjoyable and memorable evening. I highly recommend Jessica and this Buco Windermere venue!

Fancy dining at an affordable price! Buco offers an elegant dining experience with visually appealing decor. Food was fast and the service was above par. The pizza here is quite satisfactory, however it is quite difficult to eat. Very floppy to the point where I had to use a fork and knife to eat. The first bite of the pizza was amazing and glooming with flavour, but my partner and I noticed that the more we ate the less appealing it was. Still, quite good pizza I would definitely go again and give the pizza another shot. The service at this restaurant makes it impossible to not go again. Also, wine is 50% off on Wednesdays!
I was so impressed when going in and dining today at lunch!! We didn’t expect the amazing hospitality from Jessica and Sebastian. They both were so personable and helpful with our babies. They were also so careful and respectful of my dietary preferences. My husband and I hadn’t gone in in about a year (we used to always go Monday’s) because there was always a server who was there that served us that seemed he never wanted to be there. We will definitely be back! Very impressed with what Jessica has done with the business. Great food as well!

I met some friends for a nice dinner over drinks, appetizers, entres, and dessert. We had a reservation for a Friday night, but it wasn't too busy. The drinks were good and we shared two three-plate appetizers and they were delicious. I had the veal rigatoni and then tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was delicious and I'd highly recommend it. Everything was very tasty and quick to come out.

We had a few different allergies at the table and everything came out perfect.
Delicious Italian fare, great service, and nice, modern ambience. Have not been disappointed by the food here at all! My only complaint is that some of the music belongs in a strobe-light, dance club environment. It can be distracting and takes away from what could be a nice romantic dinner spot in Windermere.

Went this past week and food was amazing! Our server was great, he gave awesome food and drink suggestions. The pizza was delicious and sizeable for the price. Calamari and flatbread were awesome too! Everything came out fast and they are kid friendly! We were a large group of 8 with an infant and they had no problem accommodating us at 7:30pm. Will be back again for sure!

We ordered the aranicini, prosciutto mozza ball and fungi misti for an appetizer and for dinner we had the house made veal cannelloni and carnel pizza. We loved every item we got and found the portion sizes large enough to have leftovers to bring home. Each item had tons of flavour and little fun twists that made the dishes unique to other restaurants. Service was quick & our server was very attentive. We deff will be visiting again!

Buco Pizzeria and Vini Bar was decent. But it was nothing to write home about. Ordered the Calamari Fritti as an appetizer and it was not flavourful and the breading just fell off. The only redeeming factor was its dipping sauce. For drinks, I had a white wine sangria and it was okay, tasted a tad watered down. Finally, I had the Baked Rigitoni + Meatballs and the meatballs were the best part and it was still tasty, fresh and hot. Overall, not a bad experience but could be better

The pasta was excellent. Great flavour and cooked perfectly to al dente. We also had two pizzas, which were not as good as the pasta. The flavour was fine, but the pizza crust was too wet and soggy. We had both a Rossa (with tomato sauce) and a Bianca (without) and both were the same so the tomato sauce wasn't the cause. It felt like the oven wasn't hot enough to make the crust crispy, or maybe they needed a longer baking time. We will return in the future but will stick to pasta and avoid the pizzas.

Servers are super friendly and nice, and the place is clean, comfortable, and spacious. Personally, I didn’t really enjoy the food, but it was just my preferences; I’m not a fan of lots of creamy dishes so the gnocchi was a little overpowering for me. The pizza tasted good, but overall, I thought all items were a tiny bit pricy for the smallish portion size at $20-$30. Still, nice place for groups! Good vibes :)

Pizza was tasty. The soup of the day was too salty, but also yummy. The waiter was polite, although there was some misunderstanding when we ordered a dish and didn’t get it. The sofas inside look old and need replacement. They also give you a whyte cloth napkin instead of a paper one. I felt uncomfortable to use it

Service and decor was nice. Ordered the short rib Benny. Good flavour but poor quality control in the kitchen. The yolk in a Benny should be soft and runny but every single dish in our party of four had the eggs hard cooked. A big mistake by the cook. While the food tasted good, the portion size was a bit small for the price. This is probably why there were lots of tables empty.

We were very disappointed with some of the pricing of our meals. While I can swallow the $19 for a pizza and $22 for the Gnocchi, we were very upset in finding out a kids chocolate milk cost $5.50, which is more than the wine! I appreciate that some restaurants have a full kids meal for about $8 which includes a meal, drink and a small dessert, but not here. Kids meals start at $7 and don't include anything. Service was decent, pizza was a bit soggy but somewhat expected with a thin crust.
My absolute favourite restaurant in Windermere. Hands down the best! Great food, great service, great drinks! Edit sept 2022: I unfortunately have to update my review and take a star away. They changed the truffle fries recently and they’re not good. Thin, twig-like fries. Barely any parmesan, bland and tasteless. The garlic aioli sauce it comes with is still great tho. Please consider returning to the old recipe! It was better! Edit fall 2023: They went back to the old fries!!!
Excellent restaurant! We were a group of 10 and the service was excellent. We got many different dishes to share and all of them were delicious. I wasn't able to get many pics due to the event but it was all plated beautifully. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

Food is great and delicious, I tried many thing on their menu and it always comes out fresh and well made. As for service the staff seems over worked or maybe overwhelmed. We had the same waiter the last 3 times for we came and he kept missing small things in our order. It was always rectified but this place is really not for impatient/perfectionist people. The atmosphere is beautiful and clean
Ordered by Uber eats. I had the pepperoni funghi pizza and tiramisu. While the pizza did come to me cold and a bit soggy, it was still delicious from what I could salvage. I am assuming it was probably sitting there for a while. Not blaming them whatsoever!

Delicious Italian food with excellent service! We loved the tapas style appetizers. Great for dinner, drinks or a quick bite. Had a wonderful girls night here with lots of tasty bites. They have a great menu with lots of different options to suit every taste, and so many drink options. Perfect location near our neighborhood, so we don't have to trek all the way downtown.
Our friends took us here for dinner for welcoming us from whitehorse. Pleasantly the food so good, we ordered truffle fries, beef short ribs, gnocchi, salmon and prawn and baked rigatoni. We are really enjoy it. For Sure, we will be back once we come to edmonton...the ambiance so calm. Price is affordable too lol

Good quality food. We went in the afternoon during happy hours. Although fyou can try $12 pizza and appetizers for cheap, you better expecting them take 10 years to service your food. Our waitress was really good, but we noticed it was just her for the entire time. For a restaurant size like this, you would expecting they have more servers.
Everything was delectably scrumptious and satisfying! The pizza menu is positively enticing; you think you’ve ordered the best one and then the aroma’s from the neighbouring table hit you so you sneak a peek and realize you’ll have to come back to try them all.

How is below pizza? Perfectly normal? I thought that it was burnt. The manager of Buco Windermere taught me that it was perfectly normal as they make a pizza in the oven at 500 degrees. Is it a good answer for burnt pizza? Am I so picky? For your reference, we had the pizza with our 3 years old grand daughter in Buco Windermere.
Pizza and mussels were good. Pasta would probably be my favorite. I appreciate they also provided chili oil, even if it wasn't too spicy. Would like the food to be a little hotter coming out though.

Everything was good till I had my first bite of the Bianca 4 Formaggi pizza, then it was mind blowing. They definitely have fresh ingredients. I have zero complaints, this place is legitimately good. Will come back again. There are many other good looking things on the menu that I must try out.
Disappointed with our take out pizza order. Asked for pick up at a set time and arrived at that time. Pizzas were already cold. Then got them home and they were cold and soggy. One pizza had more much crust than topping. Not worth the $71.

I am just back from a 6 week trip to Italy and was missing quality Naples style pizza. Buco is the one place in town that actually gives you the real thing! Pleasant staff, decent beer on tap, nice patio and some great specials. Do the 2 to 5 pm happy hour for great pizza at a good price.
Easy parking, quick service. Might help that we went early on Saturday for brunch. The food was good, but the pancetta bacon was heavenly - I've never had such good bacon. I didn't like the moccachino, but the pricing is fair and it's easy to have a good time. Would recommend.
What a great experience! The food was absolutely incredible, the service was the best we’ve ever had and the atmosphere was great. We are so glad to have found this place and will be going back next time we are in Edmonton!

Excellent food. Came here for my sisters grad party. I would take a date here for sure, it’s just that kind of place. The food is amazing, especially if you love authentic Italian food. The head chef has 20 years experience in Italy I’m told and it shows.
Truly amazing food that is worth the drive. The quality is next level. The staff are great and friendly. Keep it up

Food was okay. Started with beef carpaccio that had too much going on that took away from enjoying the meat itself. Would not recommend. Lasagna and fungi pizzas were good (7/10). Beer was not cold.

Always delicious food and great atmosphere. We visited this location at 6:30pm on a Friday and did not have reservations. Ended up waiting around 30 minutes so I would recommend making reservations. Would return to this location again.
Great food! Must try the arancini and vegetariana/carne pizza - absolutely delicious. Jacob was an amazing server/bartender - went above and beyond, very friendly and kind. Thanks for a great last dinner before leaving Canada!
Taya was extremely kind and just a joyful spirit. 4 fromaggi pizza was outstanding.

First group dining experience in over two years, and Buco made it AMAZING! The assaggini were absolutely delicious. Especially the bacon involtini and prosciutto mozza balls. Thanks for an amazing evening …
Love Buco Pizzeria they have amazing pizza and a great food and drink menu. Went with my friends for a Christmas party and had a great time. I would defiantly go back again. Thank you for great customer service!
Great patio for dinner. Ordered the Carne pizza and Veal Meatballs. The pizza was really floppy and soggy but tasted great. Good toppings and great crusts. The veal meatballs were pretty good too
Great food. Like the fried cauliflower and the beef lasagna (tasty cheese). My friends loved the pizzas as well. Portions were fine as well.

Nice music and atmosphere, very friendly and pleasant waitress. The food was good but the pasta kind of salty. Service was slow because the place was pretty packed. Lots of parking.
Buco's pizza is the closest thing I had to a neapolitan pizza since my internship in italy. The atmosphere is fun and simple.

One of my favorite spots for happy hour!! $5 wine and beer. Delicious cheese boards and pizza for a great deal. Great for dates, families and large groups.
Excellent pizza and coffee. Came in for lunch and was very happy with the food. Big portions and good flavor. They really know what flavours go together.
Great place to eat, bartender was great. Got wine samples and the food knowledge was really good.
