WORST HIRE SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I rarely write reviews. In this case i feel an obligation to warn possible customers of this place. I hired the ISUZU NNR AMT to use to move a few large items. The online booking process was easy and the price was reasonable. On the Saturday we arrived and opted to hire an additional stair trolley to help with the larger items as I was moving out of a unit, which was an extra $20 for the day. Which made no sense since apparently “day” to budget Revesby means 7am - 1pm. They loaded the trolley in the truck, we parked the car . It was immediately made obvious to me and my brother the truck was not in good condition. Engine has a loud choppy sound and no matter how hard you pushed the petal the truck struggled to gain speed. Majority of our travel was main roads 60kms, yet the truck struggled to reach that speed. The braking wasn’t better, when eventually we reach 60km per hour the breaks would take ages to stop the truck. We certainly never felt safe in that thing. The price for hiring the truck suddenly felt less reasonable and more over priced at this point. The trolly we hired to help us was in bad condition as well, screws were loose, it wobbled in use. It made using it more taxing on us then the trolley itself. Would honestly say it made every item more difficult to manage. We opted to just carry stuff without it in the end. I called budget for some assistance with how to work the lift kit, it’s as if they were annoyed I was asking, I took this as nothing serious as I work in the service industry and understand sometimes you have bad days. All the above issues effected our timing so I called budget and asked if there was a chance I can drop the truck off 7am on Sunday instead. I was told they lock the gate at 1pm and that if I did not have the truck back by then I will be charged for another day. So we reached our destination and dumped our items on the front yard and raced off to return the truck. I called them on the way at 12:54 alerting budget that we were on our way. We in the next suburb down which was 8 mins away. The person on he phone stood firm that the truck needs to be back before 1pm. I told him would be a couple minutes late, they replied “I’m not getting paid for this”, i asked him to charge a late return fee or even offer to give him cash as compensation for his time to keep the gate open because my brother’s car was in the lot. He repeated, gates close at 1pm and hung up in my face. We arrived at 1.02pm to staff locking the gate. I had to pull the gate open to stop them placing the padlock in the gate from impounding my brother’s car for the day. I requested they remove the truck blocking the driveway and poles so we can return the truck and retrieve my brother’s car while the staff repeatedly yelled “its past 1pm, we have stuff to do” at us. If you've made to this point, I leave you with this advice, go pay the extra price elsewhere, it not worth being treated like less of a human & extra stress that comes from using worn out items/vehicles. Moving is stressful enough.

-1000 should be. This location very rude and unprofessional. I called to drop the car after hours she said clearly park on the side street you will see the mail box near one of the gates park over there and chuck the keys in the mail box which i did and i forgot to take my umbrella from the car. I called next day before they even inspect the car she said 5 mins will call u back. After 5 hours i called back not them she started to talk very rudely to me why i did park the car their and leave the keys in the mailbox as thats not acceptable i told her one of your stuff told me to do that she said well I can’t help u and the car been sent to another location and she will try to contact them to check the umbrella when they answer her. 2 hours later i called again she started all again same things abusing me and speaking very loud and very rudely why did u park their and why u left the keys in the mail box i told her please i want my umbrella before it gets lost as its an expensive umbrella and its a gift. She goes i told u when the other location answer we will get back to u and she hanged up. I called Saturday exactly same story plus please don’t call us again when we hear something we will contact u and for your information we not responsible for any valuables or belongings left in the car. Sunday same story again but this time it was very over screaming 10 times louder and every time put me on hold for 10-15 mins also repeating the same words and abusing. And finally Monday one of the managers called and said they don’t know where the car been sent to they tried 3 locations and they couldn’t locate it and the 3 they called said they didn’t see anything in the car. I sent a complaint to the head office spoke with customer service few time they hang up or transfer me to different departments and everyone says he can’t help he will transfer me to someone else until the umbrella got lost and no ones cares in this company about customer complaints or anything. I used them heaps before different locations and states they were very good but this time i would never go with them again. I asked for her name she said she isn’t allowed to give me her name and she hanged up like i can hear how hard she dropped the phone and maybe broke it i asked for her position she wouldn’t give me any information as well.

Not happy at all Jan! Had an accident that wasn't my fault but had to leave $100 deposit .. returned the car on the thursday with no problems there. Was told by Hanna up to 3 business days for $100 refund .. following tuesday i ring to find out about refund and was told by Therase it takes 3-5 days to refund .. so i asked why i was told it would take 3 days? She replies its never 3 days it can take up to 5 days! .. today still no refund making it 8 days! So i call again today she tells me it can take 7-10 days depending on my bank! Said the refund deposit is processed the day i returned the car! So i call my bank .. they tell me the deposit was only made yesturday and now i have to wait till next wednesday due to the public holidays to recieve my deposit! Really! So over 2 weeks to get my money back for an incident that wasnt even my failt then lied to! .. you people need to get your stories right if your going to keep business going! Im ringing NRMA to tell them they shouldnt recommend these people for hire cars as they were the ones who put me onto them as a recommended dealer for their customers at fault and i will also not recommend these people to my family n friends to not use them either .. not very fair considering i wouldn't have needed their car has i not been hit from the back and not very fair they need the deposit on the day to take the car and then get the run around as to when exactly i am entitled to get my money back and then lied to about when exactly the refund was made! .. rant over going to inform NRMA now not to recommend these people again to their clients or on behalf of their clients

Absolute thieves, started out - booked truck online get a call to say "sorry all the trucks are unavailable however we can offer you a larger truck but you would need a HR Lic" ok well lucky my husband does. At first they wanted to charge me more, having to convince them this is not my fault you advertise a vehicle when you don't have it available I should be charged the same as the one I booked online. So I go to pick the truck up for my husband. The woman behind the counter although nice enough, didn't explain anything, grabbed my Lic, credit card and had me sign for an amount of $190.06 this included the reduction in excess payable should an accident occur. We return the truck the next day, my husband fills it with fuel. We even give them a copy of the receipt. I clearly ask the woman, the same woman "is that it? No other charges no money held, no bond etc" she says No..... on my way I go. On the Monday, I see another amount of $234 charged to my card, I call the ask why this has been charged - no valid reason just s whole lot of apologies and told the money would be refunded. 3 days later no refund and yet another amount of $26.00 for what is apparently for Tolls - seems to me once you give your credit card these people use it with no authority at all and couldn't care less. NEVER AGAIN!

Watch out for the double dipping! I signed to have my card debited for the truck hire amount knowing that any additional charges for tolls, any damage etc would be charged to my card. BUT... The initial hire money is pending in my bank account THEN another transaction was made including the toll money. So they have taken the same money TWICE! Even though one is only pending and waiting to be released back to my account, I am a single person, pensioner, just paid out heaps of money to move house, went to do my groceries and couldn't! Because they have taken my money TWICE! I don't have 7 days to wait for it to be released back to me. Why didn't you just add on the extra charges to the initial transaction rather than double dipping? Disgusting!

I had a last minute cancellation of my booking with Europcar for a moving truck over the weekend and only found out when I went to pick up the truck. I had to quickly find another truck and saw Budget down the road. I received great customer service from Leon who saved my day to move houses. He tried to see if I could rent any trucks at Revesby but unfortunately all booked out. He quickly found one available at Budget Westmead and reserved it for me. I went to pick up the truck and the person at the counter already knew I was coming and had the truck ready for me to go. The truck was clean. Amazing service at both locations for pick up and return process. Definitely the place to go to rent next time!

BIGGEST THIEVES EVERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!they just took out $2711.00 at least from my account without even asking. I had asked them to give me a quote first for any repair and I will also look at getting others and then we will come to an arrangement. They DID NOT EVEN bother to call and give me the quote and THEY DID NOT EVEN bother to call ask for AUTHORIZATION to just take money out of my card! I rung them immediately she apologized that they did not call me or give the quote and apologized they took the money without asking. WHAT THIEVES!!!! I have lodged a complaint with Fair trading and the Bank will dispute the payment URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst customer service by the manager Leon when collecting and returning the vehicle! Rent a bus plus a luggage trailer, all screws from the trailer gone on the first day evening. Called the road side assistance, no one can help and asked me go to one of the branch to try my luck. Went to the Canberra airport branch, completed the accident report and they said someone will contact me to help and follow up. Returned the bus for 4 days and still no one contacted me! And they charged my credit card for the broken down luggage trailer!

excellent customer service, booked just a day before pick up for high roof Mercedes(which is didn't know) for a day surprisingly cheaper than what I expected, didn't bother to check for damages as there was small dent behind the vehicle but they assured me that it was there before. HIGHLY COMMENDED if you are looking to for a moving van( Trolley, 5 blanket and 2 boxes for a great deal) or for any other purpose. THIS IS THE PLACE for you.

Recently I had the pleasure of hiring a van very last minute to transport decorations for a function I was organising. The service and expertise I received from the Branch Manager Chloe and staff member Donna was amazing! Nothing was to much trouble! They went above and beyond to source the exact vehicle I required from another branch At very short notice!! Highly recommend Budget Revesby will definitely be using them again!

Hired car from Sydney airport but returned it at Revesby - paid an additional $55 fee to return to Revesby instead of the airport. Staff at Revesby are polite, fast & efficient. Budget reservations telephone system is really slow. Lost a star here. Called first time to extend my hire waited 28mins on hold before being answered. Second time waited 58mins to speak to staff in regards to change location drop off.

Total rip-off if you made a little scratch. Instead of just buffing out the scratch, they replace the whole thing with new parts. I had to fork out over $2000 for some minor scratches on a truck that I thought was only going to cost a couple of hundred dollars. Not only that, my account was over drawn by over $4000 incurring fees every day for close to 2 weeks before the refund was deposited.

I have hired a truck this week from budget and the truck had a flat tyre. no nails , glass or the like. the tyre people said it was a tyre fault. budget wouldn't have it and charged me 50% of the cost of the tyre. what a racket. I hire trucks regularly and so I will move onto the next one to see what tricks they get up to. I can't believe what these people get away with

Have rented from br before reasonable price was fine until I went in this morning to rent again to be told I needed a photo ID for my credit card it does not state this my husband is the driver all I read was I had to be present so back home we had to go,I mentioned to the lady all u had to do was to put it on the paper work how hard is that won't be going back peed off

I am very frustrated with the service I have been provided by them. They took money out from my credit card and said the money will be refunded within 5 to 7 days. It's been 3 weeks and I am still waiting for the refund. Every time I called them, they start shifting blame to other persons. I would highly recommend others to be very careful what you are paying for.

I've used budget rental Revesby probably 10 times over the past two years. They're always reliable and in comparison with other truck and car rental companies they are the cheapest. They also take the smallest holding deposit. On several occasions they have adjusted the price down for me. Highly recommend

Rented a truck over the weekend once returned was charged an extra $160 dollars. When I rang them they said I drove 700kms when i drove 160 but when questioned realised they had made the mistake. Now I have to wait 5-10 working days for a refund for a mistake they made
