Consumer to Consumer Alert - Rental companies are great resources for transportation needs until the company displays poor business practices. Budget Car Rental in Houston, TX (airport location) over charged me, issued a vehicle I did not ask for, and was not corporate in their responses when trying to resolve my disputes or claims. I disputed two excessive charges with my credit card company, budget did not initially respond to one. The credit card company tried again two months later, in which Budget responded granting the REFUND of the disputed charge with my credit card company. However, three days later BUDGET sent me to a collection agency for the disputed charge of $59.68. I have responded to the collection agency, however I will be sharing my experience, as no one should have to deal with a collection agency following an agreement by the company to refund. I was already disappointed, but that was a new low…even for a budget rental car agency. #foul #badbusiness #breachofagreement

This location IS HORRIBLE!!! Do NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TO RENT A CAR ! They charged my card a 100$ deposit and never returned my deposit back they said they would give it back in payments I waited one full month to call back for they deposit they claimed I took the car without gas back that was a lie I filled the tank before I returned it , on top of all that they gave me a car with EXPIRED registration stickers ! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will NEVER RETURN AND DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THIS LOCATION !

I would like to really sincerely thank Carlos. He was very professional and helped me out on the spot. I had originally had reservations with Enterprise and was heading immediately out of town when Enterprise informed me they forgot to call and inform me that they were only allowed to rent cars to the Hurricane Harvey insurance people. The lack of communication and nonchalant attitude they had was unbelievable. Thank you Carlos for helping me when I had no other options. I've found a new rental car place now. #Budget

Horrible Customer Service. This location should be closed permanently. The staff and manager are very dishonest. Prepaid for my vehicle and the skinny latino lady refuse to give me my car and then she tried to charge my credit card $100. I was told to get out the store and almost lost a business contract because I could not get my car. The manager is the worse and his staff are disrespectful. I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy. Please find another location for your own sake and peace of mind.

I have rented at this location for many years and the staff of course have changed, but the quality of service, including the friendliness and helpfulness of staff remains supreme. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me when I needed a ride to make a deposit. (I was unaware of the additional $100 deposit required for rental; I prepaid online.) Wow! I could not believe that they went above and beyond to get me in a rental in time for my big event! Thank you Budget!

Rented a car for a day trip. Thought we were getting a KIA ended up with a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Thankfully, we had the most knowledgeable employee of all things hybrid. We test drove it around the rental car lot before hitting the road. Yes, impressed with the car. Besides being knowledgeable about the car, when the dashboard displayed a low-tire symbol, she immediately put us in another Prius. We were pleased with the whole transaction pick up & return.

I have had great experiences renting my rental vehicles from this location. The staff are warm and friendly as they greeted me and the rental process was smooth and easy! They made sure to find the best rental vehicle for my needs and even surprised me with a free upgrade on my last rental! Thank you for a great value for my money and I will be recommending this particular location and I will be returning very very soon!

Great location, satisfied with the price of the rental, receptionist wasn’t too friendly but over all good service-I like the e-toll they have available which I didn’t get but I will not time I go out of town, the receptionist did tell me about what they charged for when you go thru a toll without paying but nothing about e-toll. Returning the car was quick and easy, the guy receptionist told was very polite.

Carlos was so helpful! I didn’t realize they close at 1 on Sundays and was 20 minutes late picking up a rental to drive to Corpus for work. If it wasn’t for Carlos reopening despite it being 30 minutes past closing I would’ve had to drive to the nearest airport to rent a car. Not only did he go out of his way, he was so kind and courteous throughout the whole process.

Carlos was very helpful from beginning to end.... Excellent customer service... I spoke to him about my dilemma and he went above and beyond so much that he dropped my father at a location not far from Budget when they were closing when I couldn't get there at closing time until I got off work to pick my father up at the location. I'm appreciative. Great service!

Amazing service and customer service. Ms. Taneshia from the Missouri city location was fantastic!!! The service guys are always willing to help with anything! Light years better service than enterprise and their extremely rude, unprofessional, pratices! Budget rental is my company of choice no matter where in the WORLD I may be!!

The car was dirty and smelled of smoke. This is not good because I did not feel safe because of the virus. I had to purchase disinfection wipes and spray to clean and remove the odor from the car. My schedule was too busy to return the car and get another but I should not have to go out of my way to have a clean and suitable car.

Budget has some of the best values for renting vehicles. Most locations the employees and vehicles are cleaned before picking up the vehicle. My last experience the car was cleaned but smelled like cigarettes even though there was a sign on all of the windows that said NO SMOKING! Thank God we only needed it for the day.

I reserved a small SUV at Budget. I always use Budget because it's convenient, close to where I live and the price is reasonable. Also, I was very pleased with the rental, staff was helpful and I needed to extend my rental by 3 days. I was able to do so online without any issues. I'm a very pleased and happy customer.

Budget rental services sucks . Got a car full of bugs and insects. Bit me so many places until a few days passed and bugs flew away. Also the people are very hostile and they charge extra for nothing. Changed my rate from $25/day to $69/day. For no reasons. Would NOT recommend this location to anyone.

The customer service has always been great here. Indeed rented from here severam times and haven't had any issues. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. This time I was given a toyota fourunner, 4WD. Not my favorite car. It was a very bumpy ride and I wasn't towing anything so it wasn't needed.

Staff was unprofessional, they set there and talked about their personal life and laughed at the fact that I was frustrated with the situation, I gave them my license and they asked me for a passport. I was so disappointed:absolutely terrible service. This is from the Houston, TX. Location

I called to ask general question and Carlos said the website is pretty clear as if I was stupid. I was just cling to ask if I could pick up sooner and their address as I had not received it on my confirmation email. I called him out and he did apologize but was too late. VERY RUDE!!!

Staff have always been very friendly and overall have always had a good experience. I would've appreciated a discount since I had to pick up a day late but we can't fight with Houston weather. Thank you for making my experience pleasant.
