Honestly if I could rate builders a zero I would, I placed an order for wood based on a quote I requested from them, they provided the quote at sale prices and it was valid for 30days, they first refused to give it at the quoted price, after several arguments they eventually gave in, we’ve waited almost a week for the material and then they called us today saying the machine broke do we want a refund or are we going to wait because it takes 2weeks to fix. I personally think it is unacceptable as surely a business as big as there’s would have more than one machine to cut wood. Surely they not willing to lose so much money from clients by suggesting waiting or a refund. This is unacceptable and they honestly don’t deserve to be called the leading store in building. There motto of providing solutions is false advertising. How ridiculous!

Outdoor section for gardening and gardening tools, benches, pot plants etc. There's a separate building section opposite the road, where all bulk construction materials can be bought (bricks, sand, stone etc.). Delivery and collection available. Geysers, security gates and doors on sale. There's also a lock Smith on site. The staff working at the paint mixing counter are very helpful and attentive. Quinton was great. Anthea at contractor's counter gave amazing service. Excellent customer service, had about 3 staff members ask me if I need assistance while I was browsing. Impressive

Worst customer experience on the 27th of November. Went to refill the gas. Had to go to the security guard at the back by the entrance close to the yard who had an attitude and do not really want to help. He told me I had to go pay then collect the can. Went back to him then he said I must go collect it across by the yard he already took the other can. Got to the yard and they informed me that they didn't have any new 9kg cans anymore and I should go refund to get my money back. Got my money back and went back to the yard just for them to tell me no I must go back again and pay to get the old can refilled. Horrible communication got me running up and down between the two buildings to get it sorted eventually after the 3rd time.

The worst store I have ever experienced. I have open sales orders on my account since December last year which has never been delivered or they were out of stock - been sending online enquiries since Jan to cancel them so that I can get my credit back. I was told this morning by a very unprofessional lady that laughs with colleagues while talking to me on the phone to email the despatch manager, this I did but will see if I get a response. I have been very patient due to the December holidays, its now March - I never came across where people/staff over such a period of time dont know what to do in such a big company. I should have used Cape Gate or Helderberg never had issues.

Absolutely PATHETIC service. The staff is clueless and the manager has no manners. Cuts me off when I speak to him. No eye contact. No respect. I had to go into the yard to collect a shed. Stood around for half an hour waiting for someone to help me. Eventually I was on top of the shelves in the warehouse helping them look because no one knew where my item was. Stood around waiting for another 10 minutes before someone finally decided to come and tell me that I had to drive back to the store and take the display unit. THE MOST USELESS AND SHOCKING SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED FROM A BUILDERS WAREHOUSE STORE. One star rating is too many.

My favorite store by far, they have everything I need. Have been doing renovations lately and have had to visit the store more often than I would have liked to based on things that the builder missed on little bits of snags. The staff are super helpful and the best service is always received from Mr. Beukes keeping the customers entertained while he delivers excellent service in the store and Edwin in the yard always assisting me like I'm part of the Builders family going the extra mile every time. I placed an online order at this store because it showed you had stock of everything I needed. The store delivered 2 incorrect items. I have called customer service 4 times and no one can get hold of the store to arrange for collection and exchange of the incorrect items. Very poor service. According to Customer Service the branch manager is not answering his phone or his emails. There is no direct number for the store. Invoice shows the correct items but wrong items were delivered. This could have been avoided if it was checked before it was despatched. Extremely poor customer service. Terrible branch

Went to check and buy cupboards for the kitchen.....firstly was looking for specific cupboard, got someone, they directed me to relevant department. Got there, employee asked if I need assistance.....I asked him to pull out cupboard for me( as i couldn'tpull it out myself and the person watched me struggling), as cupboard was packed inside and I couldn't see the build in sink......HE ASKED ME WHY MUST HE PULL IT OUT .....I told him I need to buy it......but then decided to rather leave......shocking, good luck team Tygervalley with turnover.....I'll never set my foot there again ......

Customer service is appalling. Takes you 2 hours to buy screws that is on premonition. Because the people responsible for the deployment is no where to be seen, other department, a cross from the isles cross their arms and claim no responsibility. When you finally speak to someone responsible for the department they tell you that you are at the only shelf of screws in the entire shop. On the way to the till, 30min of further searching further you then descovered the shelf with all the premonition screws on the other side of the store. tore.

I was very disappointed with the guy working in the plumbing department. I took my sample and ask the guy for the exact shower pipe. He became very arrogant and called another assistant to help me. Leaving me on my own. The second guy assisted me. When I arrived home the shower pipe did not fit as received. I had to go back and changed it. I was very angry and laid a complaint against the guy. His manager phoned me at work and told me they had a word with him. I excepted their apology.

Zaheer in the lighting department is an excellent employee and really an asset to the company. His knowledge and customer service ability helped me make the right choice. Eunice in the keys department was really excellent in helping me get my wifes car keys sorted out. She is brilliant worker and i would like management to recognise both employees for their efforts in making my shopping experience memorable. Thank you guys for your hard work. I appreciate you.

Builders current catalog, running from 1/11/2022 till 26/12/2022 has several of the items listed not in stock at any of the Cape Town branches, even though the online app of Builders itself showed they had stock. The staff at the 3 stores I visited could not give me any indication as to when or if they would be receiving any more of these items. One of the staff actually advised me to come back regularly to check if stock has arrived for said items. Not impressed at all.

I love going to Builders Warehouse near me. There is safe parking. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially for a person like me who doesn't know much about hardware and things, they give good advice and know what they talking about. If you not sure then ask, if you not happy with the answer you received from one person then ask another person. I had a very pleasant experience when I did my shopping with them. I hope they will keep up the good customer service.

Great variety of online products. Allows you to select delivery or in store pick up. The website has insightful articles about home, home improvement and gardening. I find it easiest to buy online and collect in store. I've called the listed number a few times and you don't get through so it's best to ask in store if you have any issues. All of my products were superior quality and would definitely recommend this store.

No service, staff ignore you or stand around talking to each other. No inverters or generator so avoid it during loadshedding. Only one till was open and asking for cash transactions. Long queue of irate customers waiting on hand written invoices needed at the exit. Could not understand how a Massmart store that size is not prepared during loadshedding. If you are in a hurry, avoid this business.

Great place to purchase all your DIY goodies. Large store, variety of items. Pity about the absence of staff. I'm not the most skilled in the building department, so I often look for a store clerk to assist with questions I might have regarding certain products. Very hard to find someone, but when you do they're generally quite helpful. Security staff at the door are friendly too.

They are always busy however whenever i go there i always experience great customer service, especially in the tiles department and the bathroom/taps area. A young lady went over and above to get me a specific tap that i really wanted and they were out of stock. She made things happen and I finally got my tap :-) Thank you for always making my experience in your store pleasant.

I love builders warehouse because it has variety of products for inside and outside of the house products including garden appliances. I am familiar with the flow and have been a customer since the years when I was doing house renovation and deco. Builders warehouse never failed me then and I am still a loyal customer. Great competitive prices too and fast and friendly service as well. Cleaning in shelves and around the building can improve a lot. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

They displayed used cleaning builders buckets with rotten dirty water and smelling lapy on the shelves when i took one bucket out as they where staggered the water inside splashed on my legs... And the manager was so rude... He didn't even apologize and said go and get another one... But cashier who helped me was so nice to me

Unlike other hardwares theses days there is always an employee where ever you look... so you don't have to go scout for what you need... they are there to help you with everything. Waited 20 minutes for the guy to open the chamber where gas tanks are held. His colleagues kept saying that he's somewhere ,when he was right in front of us all the time,attending to other matters which his idle colleagues could have done. He was the only one with the key,but kept himself very cocky.

Not my first choice of Builders. Lacking a nice shopping experience. If you are lucky to find a trolley there's a good chance that you will be out of breath from struggling with it. On the plus side, I like the fact that they put all the specials upstairs in one location.

Massive place, friendly staff but there's guys walking around selling some sort of credit and those chaps are rather unfriendly. The one chap couldn't get understand "no I don't want or need credit, I'm here to buy one item". Builders should monitor these agents!

This is basically a hardware warehouse as the name suggest. They have everything available from your tools you might need to building materials and gardening and leisure equipment as well. Everything conveniently situated under one roof at reasonable prices.

DIY and contractor heaven. Not always the cheapest, but quite a range of goods and equipment on offer. A good gardening section too, which is where I often visit.
