This is not my first time buying stuff at bulkbarn as I go to this location a lot (80 ave. & 104 st.) and I also love bulkbarn because they have so many stuff that I like. Lately I have been placing my order via online and just pick it up. Instead of plain matcha I accidentally clicked matcha peach flavoured that is so strong and just realized when I got home. I wanted to exchange it so I checked my receipt if they have a no return/exchange policy that is written on their receipt or website but there’s none so I assumed it’s ok to exchange. I went back the next day and asked one of the employees if I can exchange and he said yes and called the manager/supervisor to help me. The older lady supervisor said no it can’t be as they have a no return/exchange policy for bulk orders (she is also rude). I left the stuff I bought since I won’t be able to use it anyway (money down the drain). I just hope they have something on their RECEIPT that says NO RETURN NO EXCHANGE FOR BULK ORDERS so people won’t waste their time and gas going back. There is nothing on the receipt where it say that. Also the old lady supervisor is rude she doesn’t have a good customer rapport, not pleasant.
I arrived at bulk barn with my containers and when told I could not use two of them (because they had nut crumbs), I said I’d go clean them and come back. I was then told I couldn’t do that because I had already been refused the two containers. I was then told again how I can’t use them because I had to wash and sanitize them properly and I said I would and she still said I could not use them that day. I left the store and later called to speak to the manager, which was the same woman who had told me I couldn’t use the containers and then let her know how ridiculous it was that I was not allowed to go clean my containers and bring them back. She then changed her story and said that she had not said that. My other experiences with non managers there were pleasant. Unfortunately, because of that bad experience I will be shopping elsewhere.
Like this store! Not only you can save quite a lot (compare walnuts or cashews with normal grocery stores), but they also have quite a lot of things you cannot find elsewhere. I was looking for gluten free flour without rice (we don't like the taste) and there was some. Also the spices are great (was looking for cardamom, and they had it in wholes and grind). The only thing I found is that some things doesn't like to exposed to the air all the time (the wheat grass powder was almost yellow, and some of the candies were all sticking together). But it is good for flours, sugar, nuts, pasta, and dried fruits.
Count your lucky ⭐s if you live in vicinity of a Bulk Barn outlet. What a simplest, thrifty shopping experience to get home and your kitchen countertop is adorned with little samples of the world's spices. Experiment and surprise your loved ones & yourself with dishes savouring the aromas of cardamom, mustard seeds, Madras curry, black strap molasses, grated nutmeg, etc. ad infinitum. Expand your sensory horizon, enjoy and rekindle your passion for cooking, find love in the simplicity of sustenance worthy of one's self. Shop Bulk Barn, create hip dishes. Stefan Ashton
What can I say about a place that delivers exactly what it promises? Kudos! Bins, full of bulk stuff, from chocolate to spices. There's nothing better than buying only what you need, especially when trying to cook an new cuisine. Is there anything more insulting than having unused, expensive spices mocking you each time you set foot in your kitchen? I think not. Save yourself the humiliation and buy what you need. Coupons on their website make it even better. You'll thank me in the morning.
The concept of buying without the packaging is the future if you want to be environment conscient, and Bulk Barn provides that alternative. Although some prices are not as good as products that sell in the supermarket, you can always benefit from using Earth's Sundays (where you take your containers and get a 15% discount), and coupons that they offer frequently in your mailbox.
Every time I go here I remember why I don't go as much as I should and that's because I want to buy many things. They've got pretty much everything you need that can be bought in bulk including honey and various nut butters. They also have natural soaps I enjoy using. The store is clean and well stocked and the staff are usually quite friendly.
I always have a fun time at Bulk Barn! Sometimes you only need a small amount of a baking item and I find this is the perfect place for those items! This way you don't have to buy a large amount of an ingredient you o ly foresee yourself using once. Also great selection of candies! Would totally recommend this to a friend!
Awesome store to get bulk foods with premium quality. They have a huge selection of products from nuts, almonds, cashews to candies, soup mixes, supplements and so on. I like Bulk Barn because they have good quality products with reasonable prices and a lot of choices. I would definitely recommend this place.
This place is amazing. Whatever you need for your baking and cooking needs, I'm pretty sure you'll find there (not talking about fruits/veggies). One guy there was super polite and helpful. Very knowledgeable about what they have and super respectful about what people can and cannot eat.
It´s a great idea to buy things in bulk and package free. However, if I am not allowed to bring and use my own containers it defies the purpose of saving plastic, because I ended up using lots of plastic bags to put the products in. You should change that policy.
Prices are amazing. I spent less on 1lb of cayenne pepper than a little shaker is at the grocery store. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They know where everything is and they take you over and show you instead of just telling you what aisle to look.
Basically the bulk section of Superstore, they have a lot more selection though and you don't have to mark down what you bought on a slip. The staff always know what they item you bought is and are very knowledgeable when asked about their products.
I went in to get a ton of candy for a candy bar at work and the staff were super helpful and patient as I loaded 40 lbs of candy onto the counter. Marla helped me find my way around and Emily was very kind, super friendly and also helpful!
Love the Bulk Barn, a wide variety of unpackaged food from forbidden (black) rice to peanut butter (smooth and crunchy) to baking ingredients, snack mixes, dried fruits and nuts and dog foods. You buy the amount you need.
Once loved going to this location. Grey hair lady ruined it for all (her name is undisclosed because other staff will not give her name). No matter how well you clean your containers, they rarely fit her standards.
I love bulk barn, I get coupons most months. This one is always clean and the employees are nice. My only complaint is a lot of magnets are missing and it makes it so hard to not spill when scooping things.
I have never seen so much candy in my entire life. They've probably got everything here. Really cool place. Also, they have a very good spice collection which was quite nice to see.
The best place ever to shop !!! All you need is there, spices, flour, candies....etc Great service, good prices. I loved my experience there and it is becoming very frequent …
Lots of products. I came to buy corn flour, I ended up with 8 different types of flour! It is less expensive than a regular supermarket. And it is perfect for baking lovers!
Had exactly what I wanted , salt free nuts. Price is much cheaper than supermarket. Selection of foods was great. Aisles are wide, and you can bring reusable containers.
Product is always available and good pricing. Lots of parking but trying to get out of the lot is sometimes a wait because of busy side streets and traffic lights.
A variety of chocolates, candis, dry fruits and lot's more. Do ask the friendly staff if you need to find anything. They have a new policy to bring your own jars.
They have bulk quantities but not so much bulk prices. I got an assortment of candy for gingerbread houses. This ~5lb of flavoured sugar came out to over $50!
I am so lucky that there isn't a store right where I live. I mean, the amount of stuff I would buy is ridiculous. For sure will stop whenever I'm in the city!
This is the most incredible place for baking supplies and craft chefs. I think I saw about 40 types of flour along with bins of those hard-to-get spices.
Great selection, friendly staff. My only dislike is that some items, such as peanut butter, are hard to get out of their containers and make a mess.
Who would think that, by saying hi and buying candy one could totally annoy a cashier. Someone sure needs a nap. Have a good day, Your Nastiness.
Nice, clean store with friendly staff. Parking can be a bit tricky as the lot is usually full or near full. Great prices, especially for grains.
I love this place. It has bulks, you can find nowhere else! A widerange of rice, wheat, dried fruits, semolina, flour, nuts, and much more.
It is so nice the Bulk Barn employees getting what you want. Saves me walking up and down the aisles looking g for it. They know exactly
Bulk barn is always clean, tidy, and has friendly staff. All the locations I've gone to they have been lovely! Keep up the great work!
First time coming into a Bulk Barn. The store is kept quiet clean, the selection is amazing, and the staff are super friendly/helpful
Some things can be quite pricey when you do the math, but other items are quite cheap and the offer student discounts on Wednesdays.
First time bringing in my own containers and it was so easy that I wish I started this ages ago! Friendly and helpful staff. …
Some of the spices are really well priced, somethings are expensive. Great selection of product. Staff stick up front at cash
I was very glad to find bulk barn open so that I could stock up on nutritional yeast and other delicious recipe ingredients
You can get most any candy if you go to bulk barn. Chocolate, gummy, sprinkles, airheads, icing. And the list goes on.
The freshest nuts that I can find! Excellent tea and coffee offerings as well. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Had the lavender flowers I needed and quality cake making supplies. Service was friendly and no line.
My favourite bulk foods store. So many options, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful.
Great variety, great prices!! Whether you are baking or picking up snacks - such a great spot!
