As a regular customer, I'm writing this review to express my thoughts on the current state of the company's renewable energy commitments. While there have been some efforts made, I believe there is significant room for improvement in this area. It's apparent that the company has taken some initial steps towards embracing renewable energy sources. However, the progress seems somewhat limited given the scale of the environmental challenges we face. I encourage the company to consider more ambitious and impactful measures to truly make a difference. Increasing investment in renewable energy infrastructure, such as solar and wind technologies, should be a priority. Expanding the use of these clean energy sources can substantially reduce the company's carbon footprint. Additionally, exploring partnerships with organizations that specialize in renewable energy solutions could provide valuable insights and accelerate progress. Transparency is crucial. Sharing detailed information about current renewable energy initiatives, along with a clear roadmap for future developments, can build trust among customers and stakeholders. It would also demonstrate the company's commitment to meaningful change. Furthermore, public engagement is essential for driving change at a larger scale. Hosting events, workshops, or online seminars about renewable energy can create awareness and inspire others to adopt greener practices. In conclusion, while the company has taken some initial steps towards renewable energy commitments, there is a long way to go. I believe that with more strategic planning, investment, and transparent communication, the company can become a true leader in sustainability. I hope to see more meaningful actions in the future that reflect a genuine dedication to creating a greener and more sustainable world. There's potential for positive change—let's see it happen!
I recently had the opportunity to rent a Ute from Bunnings Warehouse, and I must say, the vehicle itself was fantastic. It was well-maintained, easy to drive, and perfectly suited my needs. I thoroughly enjoyed using it and would have had a wonderful experience overall if it weren't for one unfortunate incident upon returning the vehicle. The staff member who took care of the return process made me feel uncomfortable by instructing me to wait at the counter while she went down to inspect the vehicle on her own. This was a red flag for me, as I've rented from them multiple times before and have never been asked to wait at the counter during the inspection. When the staff member returned, she claimed there was a scratch on the paint, which immediately raised my suspicions. I couldn't help but wonder if she had made the scratch herself to extract additional fees from me. Thankfully, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be just a black mark that could be rubbed off easily. While the vehicle itself was great, the inspection process left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's unfortunate that a single incident has led me to lose trust in Bunnings Warehouse. In the future, I hope they will be more transparent and include customers in the inspection process to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary suspicion.
Midday on a busy Saturday, my partner and I went to bunnings to purchase some supplies for our vegetable garden. After searching for an employee in the garden section to seek some advice for roughly 10 minutes, we were unable to locate anyone. We went inside to see if anybody else would be able to assist. There were 5 employees at the ‘Kids Clinic’ section, which was without any customers. One of the employees was having their wrist painted by another colleague. We approached the area of workers and informed them that nobody was outside to assist and asked if we could have some assistance. The worker having their wrist painted said she could “try” and answer our queries, however the advice was very vague and did not answer our question properly. Nobody in that section offered to call somebody to assist us, and essentially ignored us. Unfortunately, this was a not an ideal experience for us, and we found it odd that a section of the busy store was empty, yet had a plethora of staff just standing there- whereas the busier garden section outside was incredibly busy with patrons, requiring assistance. The lack of customer service was very disappointing to say the least.
I ordered a doormat online and they sent me the wrong colour. I get that they're busy but when you pay $40 for delivery you expect to get what you ordered. I tried calling customer support but was waiting far too long. Their returns policy says to come in store, but I must've misunderstood because the man at the entrance flatly refused and told me to come back when they reopen to the public. I asked him if he could make an exception because I don’t have a car and I just want to return it. Nope. So I had to walk all the way back home with this huge mat that I don’t want. I work in a hospital so I understand COVID restrictions but this just seemed a bit ridiculous to me. The store was quiet, it's not like he was busy, just really rude and unhelpful. They messed up my order and apparently it’s my responsibility. Not at all what I expected from Bunnings. Very disappointing.
Ordered a pot for delivery Tuesday am, with instructions to ring doorbell and not leave on front verandah if no response. After waiting until 12.15pm, rang to check what was problem. After lengthy delay, phone finally answered, then when put through to delivery department, no-one there to answer my call. Was eventually put through to supervisor called Nathan, who when I explained my dilemma, assured me he would personally deliver pot for me (I live 10 minutes minutes away). When Nathan arrived, he ascertained pot had been delivered to wrong address by ‘third party’. A big shout-out to Nathan for going above and beyond to help, thereby restoring my faith in Bunnings, which was sorely tested. Somebody out there has a pot on their front doormat they did not order and ‘third party’ needs to do a lot better!!
Like other Bunnings outlets this store in Hawthorn has a good selection of hardware and a reasonable and well stocked, although small, nursery with everything well organised and under the one roof. The kids playing area in the garden centre is an attraction and the underground car park, although it does get pretty busy and hectic during the weekend, is very convenient. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable although sometimes they're hard to locate when you need assistance so I find it's best to do your homework online and if possible, work out what aisles your items are in before getting to the store.
Yesterday I went to order some joining aluminium extrusions for their Sunlite roofing sheets. After previously spending $1600 on these clear sheets in special order’s department. This was a great first experience. This time though I struck a women called Maria in special orders. I would categorise here attitude as rude and demeaning. I won’t go into the details except to say I was made to feel like an idiot and left without ordering something that is commonly stocked in their store, just not in the numbers that I needed. Shame when one bad employee ruins a normally great store’s reputation. Fail !
Bunnings Hawthorn is my favorite. Humble, warm and welcoming staff members. Trade is my favorite part as well a plant section at the back. all because of human who work there! I have learned a lot from Bunnings HUMANS at Hawthorn Store. i wasn't much a handy man! now i can build Ground Control for major Tom! Normally every time i have been to bunnings stores i return home confuse but at Hawthorn i normally coming back home happy and confuse-;) True story: I live near Collingwood Bunnings! Don't go there
Had to purchase a new broom for my balcony as I have a rescue greyhound and I use aromatherapy etc to clean up after her I purchased the algae broom with metal bristles online for drive and collect I sent an email to the store to make sure that the broom handle was connected to the broom because I have a disability and it’s too hard for me to do I got an email back confirming this was done Lovely lady loaded the broom into my car with ease Very good service
I had a manufacturing fault with the exterior Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning unit I purchased at Bunnings Hawthorn. The service I got from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries when trying to find a solution for the fault was terrible. The service I got from the Bunnings Hawthorn staff was exceptional. The staff were so friendly, kind, understanding and helpful in solving the issue. They replaced the exterior unit with no fuss. Thanks Bunnings Hawthorn.
I always find their staff to be very helpful and friendly. Thank you Hayden for helping to replace the new battery for my key fob. I was so lucky tonight especially since most of the key lock shops are closed after 5pm and Bunnings is still open til 9pm. Not to mention that the screw was very bad and he has used the screwdriver to undo the screw to replace the new battery for me. Thanks again and keep up your great work
One of the more poorly stocked Bunnings. It’s the only Bunnings in the area and very popular for that reason. The range is limited and it’s usually a 50-50 chance that they wouldn’t have things in stock. And forget it if something is on special. We need another Bunnings in the area to ease the pressure. Or they can stock this one more frequently. Staff have been helpful whenever I’ve needed them.
Ordered click an collect an received an email saying the didn't have what I ordered an they would try an get it (ok so the website is not accurate fine) after 2 days I asked for a refund an was told no they can't do it so I asked how can I cancel an was told I can't yet because the policy said they don't have to refund for up to 30 days. What happened to Bunnings they used to be great.
I have been shopping at this store since it opened, however I am sorry to say that the quality of service has deteriorated substantially. Items that are "in stock" are not actually on the shelves in the designated aisle / bay. There are no staff to assist. The special orders desk is unmanned more often than not. Even on placing special orders the incorrect items are delivered.
3rd time stopped to check receipt even though paid at self serve under supervision. As walking out got asked to pull over to check receipt. Others walked by. I said I must look like a criminal 3rd time in 3 days. Been buying here for 7 years. Otherwise very well stocked and helpful stuff. I know theft is a problem, but fairness as others walk past, dosent seem fair
I was able to get in and out with the goods I needed. I was able to get my paint chip scanned and mixed to the correct colour, but the guy that served me at the paint counter was plainly not happy to be there (about 10am and name stating with D) whilst the guy at the trade counter was great, engaging and helpful in the use and benefit of my new powepass card.
This was the first time I could find staff as soon as I needed them! And the sausage sizzle was good too. Snags perfectly cooked without being burnt. Only problem was that I couldn't find the right size thermal gardening glove for me. They only come in M, L and XL. Apparently us delicate, small-handed people don't do gardening when it's cold!
Often difficult to find staff to help, or staff who know their stuff. Except for Vinnie, who goes out of his way to ask if you need help, and will come back and check if the "right" staff member for the department has rocked up to assist. He is a lovely young guy - five stars to Vinnie.
Old bloke in the tool shop was extremely rude and condescending when asked if he knew where to find a product and whether it would be suitable for the project I was working on. Bunnings always promote how helpful and friendly their staff is…clearly this one slipped through the cracks.
Always very helpful staff, yesterday I was served by John, Melinda and couple of others and they were all wonderful and knowledgeable and that is what sets this Bunnings apart from others. Good range and decently sized Bunnings close to the Melbourne CBD. Highly recommend.
Probably my favourite store and this one is excellent. It’s central location is convenient, lots of undercover parking particularly on the lower level and easy access via elevator or lift. Over two levels it has the usual stock of all products. Staff are always cheerful.
Always been able to find a park, website has accurate stock and location in-store. Lots of variety and choice. Service at the counter is very inconsistent. Sometimes staff are just chatting and there’s an opportunity for better communication with people waiting.
4 stars as far as bunnings goes. Product range is far better than the Chadstone Bunnings. Car park is small, tight and they installed boom gate and meter though for most visits, you are unlikely to exceed the free time limit but the boom gate slows your exit.
Bigger than Bunnings Collingwood. But the information on there websites is not latest. i checked app before i went there. It show me a drill kit in store in Hawthorn. When i go there. The staff tell me the kit is out of stock. I have to come back empty-handed
A huge thank you to Payden for outstanding service down at the trade desk. His assistance with the pallets was greatly appreciated. Followed through and kept me informed. Greatly appreciated his help, friendly manner and highly recommend him to management.
Though they have the tools and supplies I require, the service experience leaves much to be desired. There are only a few exceptional staff members, and getting their assistance is a stroke of luck, whereas the rest… well, it’s not quite up to par
Anita Paxton ( Volunteer with Boroondara Stroke Support Group ) would like to thank Kristina , Hannah and Braydon for hosting our stroke support group today … as usual it was amazing and we are all so grateful ! Thank you Bunnings at Hawthorn xx
Overpriced, subpar quality of appliances (BBQ poorly made) + overcharged for key cutting. Staff continued their conversations and gossip instead of helping customers standing next to them waiting. Bunnings really needs lots of improvements.
It's a beaut store. Not square like almost every other Bunnings I've been to, yet it packs in the gear. Same helpful and friendly staff. Dog & prople friendly. Dragon was super informative with my Pet Door purchase and installation. Ty.
Rented a van last week from Bunnings Hawthorn. From the meet & greet by Sara, to Hire Desk staff including Mars, Jono and Charli, and also the Vehicle Hire manager (cannot remember her name), the service was exemplary. Many thanks.
I would like to personally say my extreme thanks to the staff at Hawthorn Bunnings. They all stayed 10 minutes late just so we could purchase after hours. This is emblematic of amazing service and I will be shopping here again.
The coolest bunnings I've been, with the best variety of stock. It was the nearest Bunnings to get some high quality colored party lights, and end up getting a bunch of other cool stuff! Very friendly and helpful staff too!
Great service. Very professional staff. I want to highlight how helpful, patient and professional Ken was assisting us to select the paint colour we needed. He went above and beyond to make sure we got the right colour.
Two hours free parking underneath, uses cameras so no tickets needed (magic). I'm so glad this isn't my local Bunnings, I'd go broke having that awesome little coffee shop downstairs where I park my car everytime.
Huge Bunnings store that is within walking distance to Glenferrie station. Extensive selection of plants & gardening products & the staff were very helpful. Plenty of parking space in the underground car park too.
UPDATED: Was talked into using the Dulux concrete and paving range. It’s a three step process which I thought was over the top tbh… but the results were fantastic Until they weren’t. Shortly after spot peeling!
Do you hire a bunch of NON HELPFULL RACISTS?? especially the curly red hair one who checks the receipts was RUDE.. This is the first time in 10 years I've felt that in Australia. Better teach her some manners
Always has friendly and helpful staff. I also find it easier to get assistance at this Bunnings compared to the other one I go, as generally high levels of helpful staff and not as busy as Port Melbourne.
Just been served by a rude lady at the front counter, never met someone like her not happy I have rated this store a 5 star, Kathleen or kayleen kathleen I think her name was.. One unhappy customer.
5 stars rating goes to the lady worked at parking level at 1:20pm this afternoon. She helped me loaded 10 bags of cement. And she helped another lady after me. I was wondering where the boys were.
Always a positive experience in shopping here. The staff are all very helpful and will go out of their way to assist you in locating what you need. The sausage sizzles make it even more perfect.
2 tier Bunnings store, plenty of parking available in the 2 basement levels. Of course, the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful Bunnings staff. Great coffee shop below the store.
Bunnings stores are all nearly the same. But this one has great staff. Friendly, helpful, and knowledge. Parking is easy, but getting there involves fighting through traffic.
Bunnings usually have what I'm looking for. I guess that it's a 2-story building that makes it a bit of a pain if I think something is at one end, but it's upstairs.
Google maps App wanted me to rate this place by sending me an audible alert message at nearly 11 o'clock AT NIGHT. Outrageous use of commercial messaging.
Best inner city Bunnings around. Garden centre massive with lots of indoor and outdoor plants. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Free undercover parking.
Yeah Good Staff here, always helpful I wish they stocked more spray paint, they need krylons and more rustoleum Awesome store for diy and cleaning stuff.
Lowest emissions could be just the beginning, Bunnings! I want to see your company commit to 100% electric cars and trucks powered by the wind and sun.
Have come to this Bunnings for many many years. This year they seem to have so few staff. It’s really difficult to get any advice about anything.
Well stocked Bunnings . Plenty of free parking (provided you get in and out not spend the whole morning or afternoon). Staff are helpful
Excellent store great range of products and low prices. Bit light on the service at times but at others they're customer service Ace's
A smaller Bunnings than others but it's range would satisfy most people. Parking can be difficult on weekends so go early or late.
Could spend the day in here and love it, particularly good stocks of native plants. Did not like the parking at all
Late night shopping but all the staff were still so helpful and found me my line trimmer. It worked like a dream!
Good parking. Easy access. Helpful friendly young staff. Could have wider selection of air plants.
Staffs look always busy so its quite hard to ask them a question about the things going to buy.
A Five star Bunnings all the way. Multiple visits, always great advice, always great service.
The best bunnings, great gardening section and everything you could want is there
pretty awful service. they seem committed to being as unhelpful as possible
Close to home. Free Parking. Staff are nice and helpful.
Paint expert Kevin is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Closest bunnings to my place and the staff is lovely.
Very friendly and helpful staff in this store!
Not alot of parking space and very busy.
Good parking, most staff are very good
Standard Bunnings, staff very helpful
It's a quirky one over 2 levels.
