I used this firm for family law matters and received the poorest advice and spent two months of wasted time. I was never given the opportunity to convey my considerations, and the advice I received from them lacked any substance. Their dealings were more tailored to try and finalise my matter rather than provide an adequate outcome. Eventually a letter was drafted from the BMB lawyer with inaccuracies and damaging comments that were not instructions from me, that if sent to the opposing lawyer, would have been catastrophic. When I attempted to raise my concerns with management at BMB, the response I received lacked any insight or attempts remediate the course of action taken. The firm spent no time sending through the final bill once I decided to change firms, this was done in a matter of hours. However, weeks have passed and they still haven’t forwarded all my documents and disclosure to the new firm. Clearly they are just interested in profits and not outcome and continue to delay progress.

By far the absolute worst legal practice you could use in the greater Hobart area. They dealt with my Mother's estate and two partners of the practice were executors. The Partners of the practice I had dealings with were rude, belligerent, biased, and ignorant. They did not reply to emails, they behaved unprofessionally, the written tone of their documentation was rude and at times toxic, and they ignored requests to hand over basic information that beneficiaries are entitled to, such as a documented list of their costs. I had my own independent senior legal practitioner advising me, from another legal practice, she was appalled to see how they administered the estate. If you have planned to have your will and estate handled by this legal practice, I would definitely recommend that you spend your money wisely and go elsewhere, in my experience with this practice there are no professional standards here, no courtesy and definitely no respect from senior staff.

Have been dealing with them fort 10 years. Fees are lower than mainland. Everyone in Hobart knows everyone so they may not be as friendly as possible. Anyway I prefer a business clear attitude. No complaints except maybe I took my partner off the title which cost me about $3000 when the property was in the name of a trust and I was the trustee so there was no need to take his name off the title. I felt I should have been told i was wasting my money

I highly recommend Ryan Hartigan who acted on my behalf with a recent house purchase. It was a very short settlement and Ryan ensured it all ran smoothly at all times even with a few road blocks along the way. Poor service, no attention to detail and don't answer questions you email them... Make sure you check for spelling errors and review the work they have completed in your itemised bill. I had numerous spelling mistakes and date for work BEFORE they were even engaged!!

Worst law firm in Hobart. Won't lift a finger until you cash them up. Require a $500 deposit before they do anything, and then payment for each court appearance or they won't appear/represent you any further.

My experience with this firm was good for my first daughter . But now megan jones is a terrible lawyer.she has not helped me seeing my girls at all .
