The receptionist was nice and the place was clean. BUT I went there to see a doctor; the doctor was an absolutely awful experience today! He refused to answer questions regarding my condition and the medication he was prescribing. In his words, "I am just prescribing you antibiotics. Whether you take the medication or not is up to you." /" I am just here to give advice. You can look it up online or follow it up with your family doctor." I was stunned because I had never encountered any doctor attitude like that! I was just asking him a couple questions based on the information he was telling me about my condition and the medication. AND he asked me to follow up with my family doctor after I told him I did not have one at the very beginning of our very short conversation. Either his memory was going or he just completely did not care about the patients! After a max of 3 minutes, he just abruptly said "Have a good day." coldly and turned away to his computer when I was trying to ask him a question and completely ignored me! I understand it is a walk-in clinic, so the doctors do not need to develop a warm relationship with the patients. But answering questions regarding the medication they prescribe and the condition they are prescribing the medication to treat with professionalism is a minimum service?!!! Maybe it is just this one doctor with a name tag of Doctor Michael Yu on the door that is particularly unhelpful. I have been going to this clinic for quite a while because I felt the doctor for my first visit was very kind and caring (hence the two stars instead of one), but I have noticed a significant decrease in the doctor attention during the past months with this doctor named Michael Yu falling below the minimum of acceptance. So I do not intend to go back to this clinic anymore. Just to update, this Dr. Michael Yu also did not give me the right antibiotics (cos he did not bother to send my sample to a lab to verify my antibiotics resistance or listen to my medical history), so my condition ended up worsening to a scary state after taking his prescription. I had to go to the ER waking up one morning right away. Even the doctor at the ER was patient enough to understand my condition, made sure that I got the right antibiotics, and answered all my questions. After taking the right antibiotics, I was feeling much better within a day. There are no words that I can use to describe what this doctor put me through. I am confident to say that I am not a faint heart or think too much of myself. I have NEVER left a negative review online for anyone, since I understand that there are a lot of environmental factors contributing to a person's momentary behavior choice. But being a doctor by definition is a profession of compassion and precision, because patients are either in pain or in a vulnerable state when they need to see a doctor. I did not sense any genuine care from this doctor about my painful situation, and his carelessness led to an even more painful nightmare (because I still had the basic faith in his professional training so I took the antibiotics he prescribed without going to a different doctor right away, which of course is something that I regret). Seeing other reviewers reporting very similar behaviors from this same doctor makes me think it is worthy to write this follow-up so other patients choosing CDK could be mindful of this doctor and make an informed choice. Because I would never wish what happened to me upon anyone in pain (Of course, I hope you guys all stay healthy!)

I have visited this clinic three times and the ist two visits had been very impressive. But yesterday, i was totally shocked by the demeanor of the Doctor. Dr. T . Michael YU was not only arrogant but was very disrespectful. All we requested him to extend a particular prescription if he could as other physicians had always done that for us. He snapped at us and very impolitely asked us to leave. He did not even pay attention to the patient's medical history. He had very poor communication skills and he lacked etiquettes and professionalism. He was behaving as if he was doing a mercy on us by writing a prescription. it is his job to write prescriptions, i hope somebody should put that into his mind. He was not doing any charity. As a patient we do have rights to ask questions, he can't play God. FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SUCH AN IMPOLITE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PHYSICIAN. I lived in London, ON before and we had amazing doctors in that city. So, as a new resident of the city of Kingston, i am appalled by this kind of treatment to the patients.

I would unfortunately have to agree with many of the reviews on here. There is absolutely no sense of professionalism at this clinic for their patients. I had a follow up call booked with the doctor as the first appointment in the day, yet it took over an hour before I spoke with the doctor. I also had to call the clinic 5 times to confirm if the doctor would be calling me back, where the reception would say they’d call within 5 minutes and hang up. If you end up having to go to this clinic, make sure to request for copies of all requisition forms before you leave and do the administrative bookings yourself. On two separate occasions I was told the requisition had been sent to the respective clinics (bloodwork and MRI) only to find out more than a week later that it was only sent the day of when I happened to call the bloodwork/MRI clinic to check if they had received it. Not a great feeling to be lied to by a healthcare practice.

Dr Kozanitus is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He is nothing but a drug pusher. Everyone I know who is his patient gets prescribed large quantities of highly addictive medications. He also has very poor bedside manner and refused to explain my husband's diagnosis to me. When I asked a question, he scribbled the name of the disease he'd just diagnosed my husband with onto a scrap of paper and told me to Google it. My husband almost died while under his care. Thankfully we moved away and my husband is seeing a new doctor who actually knows what they're doing and his health has improved significantly. If we were still in Kingston seeing Dr Kozanitus, he would likely be dead by now.

HIGHLY SUGGEST DO NOT GO HERE! Doctors office that doesn't serve the public well, walked in yesterday to get a shot for my wife and they decided it was okay to close 15-20min early and would not accept anymore patients i don't know about anyone else but i left work took a break to make it there on time, you guys are open from 9-5, should be open from 9-5 not 4:30 not 4:45.....Karen we understand you want to go home after a long day working with crackheads in the heights but I worked a 12-14 hour shift that day and you had the nerve to tell me we are closed when in actuality your not..... you serve customers UNTIL 5 clearly you guys have customer service all wrong.

This was the best walk-in Clinic in Kingston but is now appointment only. They have failed to take the time to modernize the business which results in myself as well as many others showing up to being told appt only. Drove in from 30 mins away. I guess all things really do come to an end. Lastly I have been here multiple times and the receptionist is extremely stand offish. Every time I have visited it has been the same. I am literally trying to help them prevent the walk-in traffic but she would rather argue with me. I don’t have time for that. I have time for that so I suggested an edit myself to hope do it help others in the future.

I have worked with 4 members of the health team at CDK (2 doctors and 2 PAs) to figure out the condition I have. All have been professional and have requested the needed blood tests and referred me to the required specialist. Dr. Yen stands out as particularly amazing. She took the time to understand my symptoms, determine a preliminary diagnosis and start treatment right away. She reached out to the specialist to make a plan and has been monitoring my results. I am so thankful for her. She is amazing. The wait times at CDK are long but that is to be expected considering how many people are without a GP right now.

I arrived for an appointment today only to be told by the receptionist that it was cancelled. She said she called me and left a voicemail. I showed her my missed calls log-where there was NOT a call from them- AND I showed her the email I received MONDAY confirming my appointment. She wouldn’t accept that. She kept insisting she called me herself and left a voicemail. I have no voicemails in my inbox. No apology. No admitting their fault. Just made me feel like I had messed up. So now I’ve missed a day of work and will have to do it again for another appointment.

Canada health care systems suck..... be prepared to wait an hour or more.. just a heads up... so they will rudly say i there response that my fault i do t have a familydoctor lol...Google is the better doctor.. I Google all treatments.. was told by the cdk doctors they don't have the time or resources... the doctor I seen stood across the examination room and looked at he scared... and said the referral is put in for a plastic surgery.. they don't remove cyst at there office desite what there website says....

  • Brynn Rickard

Showed up at 4:50 on a Friday, which I understand is cutting it close. However, no one was in the waiting room and they wouldn’t take the 5 minutes to assess me. I went with concerns of appendicitis and was told my symptoms were “wasn’t enough time to assess my problems”. I get people have families to get home to, but they weren’t closed and they should be in the profession to want to help people, even if it means staying 5 minutes late after work. Disappointed in the lack of care.

  • Debbie Blais

My co-worker called this clinic on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 and the receptionist was extremely rude on the phone. Politeness goes a long way especially in the medical field. The receptionist should ask questions in a polite manner with no attitude. I have heard this before from others who have called this clinic. Always remember that the receptionists, in all businesses, are the faces of that company and should always show respect to anyone who may call.

  • Talyn Amorim

Went to this location for my 3 year old and got turned away because the receptionist said the doctors cut her off for the day. I made a suggestion to put that they are no longer accepting patients online or to turn their open sign off so that people dont drive in for nothing and she got rude with me saying that's not her job. Not happy with the lack of compassion for ones health. Usually never have a problem until today. Receptionist is very ignorant.

  • Paige Perry

absolutely awful, not only did the doctor either forgot to fax my prescription off to the pharmacy or sent it to the wrong one, but when i tried to call the receptionist desk to see if they could find out, they kept sending me to a voicemail box that was full, and at one point a lady actually picked up and hung up on me. So disappointed as this is an anti inflammatory medicsation for extreme side pain, sad to see this is how they treat their patients

  • Jenna Sloan

The doctors are lovely. Reception and support staff however displayedodisplayed guilting behavior towards myself and another mother of a toddler regarding having to clean anything our children touch including in medical areas where we were required to be. I have never experienced anyone of other professions with this opinion or backlash towards children or adults. And was rather disappointed to hear it multiple times in my short stay in reception

Went in after a telehealth nurse told me to go into a Walk-in Clinic, having been here and had a good experience before I decided to come here but was told that even though I was told to come in, I hadn't spoken to one of *their* physicians telling me to come in so I needed to call and make an appointment. If people cant come in for walk ins and be seen, and need an appointment, then don't say you're a walk in Clinic....

  • Rob Shih

Walked in and was told it would be approximately a 1 hour wait and there were 6 people ahead of me. After 2 hours of waiting where instructed I asked for an update and was told it would be at least another hour and there were somehow now more people ahead in the line. Some people have appointments and get priority but it was also apparent some walk-ins got priority over others.

  • Cindy Gallant

At the moment I said I was having sort of a bronchitis she said:" no. We don't take anybody with covid symptoms it has to be by telemedicine. When I said I've had 2 telemedicine appointments already and that my symptoms have been staying for 3 months now. They can't use a telescope through a video. She said: Sorry. Go to the hospital. We don't take you. SO RUDE.

  • Shawna Foy

Very useless clinic, if you even have a slight cough or anything, they will accuse you of having covid and refuse to help you. We are two years into this pandemic, I am double vaxxed and was wearing a mask and even explained to the receptionist that I have acid reflux. What is the point of a clinic if you refuse to help your patients. Very useless, don't bother

  • Rich Raymond

Awful service before my visit, during my visit and after. Grumpy and speedy attention to my needs. The WORST part is they won’t answer the door if you don’t have an appointment, they won’t answer the phone and the mailbox has been full for weeks. There is literally no way for me to contact someone for test results from my visit last week. How is this possible?

  • Dar Bee

NOT A WALKIN CLINIC.... Anyone looking for an ACTUAL WALK-IN CLINIC will now have to go to the ONE & ONLY CLINIC on PRINCESS ST. This is just another example of FORD's B.S Reception is not friendly and rude most of the time, & the physicians I've experienced here are arrogant. At least what I've seen on previous visits. Maybe 3 times in 3 years!

  • Tom Conklin

I have visited this clinic twice while cottaging in the region over the past 4 years. On both occasions the service was excellent. The person at reception was courteous and efficient. I waited for a short time and was treated successfully in a professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone.

  • Ron Janzen

Polite and professional receptionist. Was in and out within 2 hours...I wouldn't expect anything faster in this day and age. Physician's Assistant that I saw was also very professional and put my mind at ease about the issue I came in for. I am sad that they will no longer be offering walk-in service come Nov 1 :(

  • M D

Dr Luka is a wonderful doc. She is empathic and very professional, great skills. She is respectful with my use of nathuropathy, in complement of trad. medicine. Open minded is a rare and great quality for a doctor. The staff is polite and efficient. Highly recommended !

  • Jessica Friesen

I frequently go to this clinic. The staff are always kind and the health care professionals have always taken my health issues into their care. My only issue is that sometimes calling them automatically forwards you to a voicemail during business hours.

  • Natasha Pereira

Not actually a walk in like their website says. It says they are open for in-person as needed. I called and tried to make an appointment to get stitches removed but they said they are only doing phone appointments - obviously not possible in this case.

  • Stephanie Worth

Visiting from out of town and needed to see a Doctor unexpextedly. In and out the door with prescription filled from the Shoppers next door under 1.5 hours. This seems long, but compared to the GTA very quick! Professional, polite staff and Doctor.

  • Jacqueline Watson

I am so happy that DR. Kozentis is our family doctor. Yesterday he helped my little girl so much. She is now feeling so much better. I highly recommend this doctor and all his staff. Thank you for being so caring and compassionate with my children.

  • Matt Parker

Never answer the phone, they won’t return calls. Very good at sitting at the desk all day doing nothing though! Had to call the other CDK on princess to get blood results 7 days late. Will definitely be filing with the patient ombudsman of Ontario.

  • Marcinda Pinsent

was at clinic first thing on Saturday morning at 10:10, ended up being number 16... took way to long, and was still not seen in hour and half... came back at 1:10 and had about 7 people in waitrose. and was told they are closed for the day!!!

  • Shaina Nelson

Tried to access walk in clinic today. Reception staff was extremely rude and inconsiderate. I had a horrible experience and chose to leave rather than addressing my health because of this. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

  • Ralston McPherson

Attended as a walk-in. Busy practice however wait time was just a little over an hour. Staff professional and empathetic. Very impressed with the Dr, listened and discussed my circumstances. Would thoroughly recommend this walk-in!

  • Amanda Stewart

They have been holding on to my wsib paper work for 2 weeks. Saying it needed to be processed. I can't get my claim approved without the Dr's paperwork. All other documents submitted, they are literally holding back my benefits.

  • Chris Bell

Hands down the most unprofessional doctors office in Kingston. If there wasn't a shortage of doctors there's no way it would still be in business. Try answering your phones or returning voice-mails once in a while? Just a tip.

  • Lexy

So rude and unprofessional over the phone. The first words out of the receptionist’s mouth was “What’s your problem” in an annoyed monotone voice. Decided not to go there if that’s the first impression they choose to make.

  • Dianne

Excellent care from family physician, receptionist is always kind and helpful. Unfortunately they cannot take an unlimited number of patients and that is not the fault of the practising family physicians at this location.

  • Iain Gardiner

Very well run Walk In Clinic. Office was easy to get to, clean and had plenty of parking. Staff was professional and courteous. The doctor was personable, knowledgeable and thorough. We’ll use this clinic in the future.

  • Caifabe

my partner went to get her odsp papers filled out here and they turned her away because she was having acid reflux problems, which they baselessly accused her of having COVID and turned her away. do NOT go here.

  • Kurtis Mayer

My experience was good. I went at a good time (google will show you when they are most busy) and was seen quickly. I had something pretty personal that I needed addressed and the doctor was easy to talk to.

  • Karen North

Receptionist is delightful, she us refreshingly good humoured, respectful, kind and professional. Not my experience at other medical clinics. Made my visit there unusually pleasant. The docwas great too.

  • Jack Dowser

Dr. Chris Kozanitis has an excellent reputation in Kingston and as my family doctor I share that opinion: as a walk-in patient I have been seen by 1 other doctor and she too seemed quite competent

  • Brenda Lesslie

The receptionist was very pleasant and courteous. Dr. Luca was very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. I did not feel rushed even though there were several patients waiting to be seen.

  • Jesse Pelletier

Dr. Shephard is 100% the best doctor out there!! If you need a family doctor you can trust that also really cares about her patients, she's the one. Amazing staff as well. Thank you all!!

  • Lise Brown

I had a great experience. The receptionist was pleasant and I was able to see a very good Doctor within a short time. I would definitely recommend CDK to anyone need a walk in clinic.

  • Claire Gayman

I was very impressed with the service at this location and didn't have to wait long at all. They post their expected wait time on medimap.ca which is also really helpful.

  • Caleb

Impossible to contact my doctor since she moved here there voicemail is full and just hangs up on me and they don't use email for appointments. Pathetic level of service

  • Jami Molloy

FYI so no one else wastes their time standing in line like we did. Also, should probably update your voicemail to reflect this. Literally takes 2 seconds.

  • cass wellar

Front desk staff are very rude and clearly hate their jobs and should seek other career paths. No one answers the phones but they tell you to call ahead

  • Amanda Vienneau

Came here for a check up on my pregnancy and the doctor was so helpful and thorough. I would 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a walk-in …

  • Kay Graham

Every single time I come here the Receptionist are rude. The doctors are friendly but they don't seem to care too much your health problems.

  • John Kehoe

Poorly run , cant even get seen for a sinus infection , while the guy a head has a sore toe , should be permanently closed all staff fired .

  • Brandy Treadgold

I was told 15 mins to an hour wait .. was waiting 3 and a half hours here. Letting other people go before you after being here 1 hr before

  • Ann Marie Rousseau

I have always received more than adequate care at this clinic and the front line staff were always helpful. Cant complain about anything.

  • Fadi Yahia

Maybe you should update your sign that says you are a walk in clinic because you waste peoples time driving and being disappointed

  • Linds Macintyre

Front desk is horrible, they are extremely rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend, my child was also prescribed incorrectly.

  • Jeff Griffin

Really great place. I was lucky to get taken in right away but everyone was so helpful and pleasant and professional.

  • Billy MacAdoo

Went into clinic tonight. Very friendly, courteous staff. Waited about 5 mins to be seen after triage. Thanks again

  • Shane Holley
