The young bar person Ellen ... super fast and efficient, friendly and upholds a standard of cleanliness on the bar by way of making sure ashtrays are properly cleaned and not jus tipped into the bin, and wipes down the counter tops and tables on a regular basis. Seldon if ever see her parked on the chair by the till and never had to signal, call or wave to attract attenton for service. Kudos to Ellen. One the of the best staff I've met in 4 years of frequenting the establishment. However, the now manager Jason, previous bar person, is another kettle of fish entirely. IT literally took 3 years to get him to part with something that resembled a smile. His is definitely not a people person and can be very rude and dogmatic, 99% of the time. He has a bad attitude for the hospitality trade and is for the most part, quite miserable. Sadly, if it were not for Jason, I would give this establishment a higher rating.

Gate for Entrance doesn't exist for last 3 months,, you battle to gain entry . On 10th September 2023 - locals who frequent the bar are disregarded for outsiders even though the spend big money at there local pub. A pub to be missed in Future.

My friend calls it "Senior Citizens" pub but I find it quite friendly, smiles around and with super-efficient Jennifer at the desk, no one is unattended to. Good place for a quiet hangout, either alone or with friends to have a talk with!

Everybody knows everyone here, even if it's your first time visiting, people talk to you like you're family, great atmosphere and the staff are always engaging and helpful.
