"I have been calling this store's pharmacy for several days just to ask a question about my prescription, but no one never picked up the phone so I had to take a trip there"
The staff at this location lack empathy and respect for patients. I arrived at 1:25 pm to pickup prescriptions. As I wait in line, I speak and was ignored by the cashier/pharmacist as they engaged in small talk. I see the sign which states their lunch break begins at 1:30pm. It is now 1:27 pm and I say it’s rude to not listen or respect patients who come in for vital healthcare services. The pharmacist then acknowledged me and goes to get my prescriptions. When I approach the counter, I reminded the cashier that I’m here before their 1:30 pm break. The cashier decides to go back and forth with me being nasty and rude. I then state that I respect her work; however, I’ve followed all rules in picking up my prescriptions within the proper time frame. The pharmacist did check me out and I was able to get my prescriptions; however, I shouldn’t have had this experience. Patient care has to remain important. This is not “last call” at the bar to order drinks. I needed medication which was vital for my personal well being. It’s not my role to beg for acknowledgement or to have an expectation to be be treated with respect. This CVS needs more customer friendly healthcare workers and a lesson on empathy.
FIRE THE WHOLE NIGHT SHIFT ASAP!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, Poor Integrity, No customer services skills/abilities...How professional (being sarcastic), it is to CALL CVS PHARMACY FROM TWO DIFFERENT PHONES at the same time. Approx. 9:50pm from both my HOME PHONE and CELL PHONE. From my Cell phone CVS Pharmacy telephone Rang for 17 MINS straight; from my home phone CVS Pharmacy telephone Rang for 34 MINS and 22 SECONDS Now mind you I was on two phones at the same time. Without no-one answering...Approx. three-weeks ago at 10pm, my mother was discharged from the hospital and her doctor called in some imperative medicine for her, and the Pharmacy Tech lied to the doctor stating she entered the request. However on the next day there was no documentation that the prescriptions was entered nor the medicine filled. I had the doctor to call back and resubmit the same prescription the next day...The night services at 320 40th Street NE really sucks and play with people LIVES!!!! #REALLYPISSEDOFF
Absolutely, pitiful! This CVS has been a disservice to the community for over 20 years. My mother was even given the wrong medication before and almost passed out one day while we were walking in 2004. On 3/23/23 around 6:45pm, a customer was livid because they had waited for almost an hour for their child's medication. Mind you, I requested for my Doctor TO NOT sent my medication to this location, but they insisted because it is a popular brand (CVS) and they receive shipments faster. Looking hindsight, I am sure the pharmacy technicians are tired and are probably over worked...I get it...but to lack customer service, emotional intelligence and the social skills to work in an impoverished area is almost like a set up. It is uncanny, to hire workers who are not emotionally fit to cater to this economic need. The head people know this and yet they continue to keep these workers and hire others who don't suit. I will continue to file a complaint until something can be done about this.
Horrible customer service. My daughter been waiting a whole week for her medicine. I called multiple cvs and wanted to switch to the children’s hospital pharmacy since none of the cvs had it. I called the cvs on 40th street to have them transfer her prescription and the lady said she would have the prescription ready at 8pm on Friday. I decided to wait to give them time to fill it so I ended up going on Saturday around 6pm and guess what they don’t have it and she like do you want us to order it. Of course it’s for my daughter and she needed it. I was told first that the medicine wasn’t covered by my insurance which was a lie I called and they cover it and apparently they ran the medicine twice on the 17th and 22nd and then reversed it. Call to verify with insurance before you take their word for it. A lot of the medicine they say insurance don’t cover they do! If something happen to my daughter before she get her medicine I will be looking at a lawsuit with cvs.
I have been calling this store's pharmacy for several days just to ask a question about my prescription, but no one never picked up the phone so I had to take a trip there. There were 3 people in line ahead of me, there were 6 people in the Consultation line. After waiting in the first line for about 20 minutes, I was told that I had to go to the other line. They only had 3 medications in my profile, which was definitely WRONG! I have been dealing with this store for years. There are always people waiting for them to correct something. The cashier, techs, and pharmacist needs training in customer service with emphasise on how to talk to people. Also earphones should not e worn while assisting customers! This is very unprofessional! The store appears to be out of stock of lots of items. Their filled prescription bends are always full of prescriptions. These are reasons why I switched to holistic treatment. Good service is hard to find here!
When they answer the phone at all, they always, always hang up on you. It's jarringly rude. Last time it happened I called back because they didn't answer my question, but this time I'm just too tired. Only one of the pharmacists is actually nice and not stone cold unhelpful with rx issues. Edit: It's been 3 months since I left this review and you keep messing up my rx pick-up dates. You apparently told my insurance that my rx was filled on a day I was never there. The day I was there, when you're claiming I probably picked it up, I have a receipt with no evidence of that whatsoever. And there's the fact I also NEVER picked it up. So I've been playing tag all day with my insurance company and doctor while you out my health at risk because my rx is on hold in error. You need to be held accountable. Once this is resolved, I am never picking up from you again.
Insane the length people would go to not do their job despite the customer being clearly in pain. I went there after a dentist appointment to get prescribed painkiller since I was under a lot of tooth trauma. Got my prescription denied because I apparently didn't have insurance ? I had my dental insurance , the signature for the prescription, the money to pay cash even if i didn't have insurance, and still got served with a "no, have to make it go through insurance". that makes no freaking sense. This lady ignored my presence for a solid 20 min and dismissed me with "we cant serve you". went to another cvs. dropped my prescription, told them I had no insurance, no problem. 13$ and I got my stuff..... to the lady with the bigass frog eyes at the drop counter playing God and watching people in pain: thank you. im sure you are proud of your work.
If I can give one star I would! Everyone who works there doesn’t seem to like their job. The pharmacist Cici ( Cici is what she told me when I asked her name and said that’s all I need to know ) was very rude, snotty, unprofessional, uninviting, and everything I wouldn’t want my employee to be if this was my store. I told her that she forgot to ring up my other items after getting my prescription and she slid them to me and told me take it to the front! Wow. The “manager” claimed she didn’t know any of the pharmacy employees names since she doesn’t “ work back there “ nor did she know the store number or cooperate number. She didn’t know anything about the store she “manages”. This is sad considering it’s mostly all black workers. Just another typical ghetto store with people being rude and nasty to our own race.
THIS LOCATION IS NOT 24 HOURS - I had prescriptions sent here specifically because they were listed as a 24 hours location and I was having a late night medical problem. When I got there, the door was locked - signs listed them for being open until 12 am - it was just shy of 11:50 pm, and I still had 10 minutes to spare, but when I finally managed to flag down an employee, I was told they lock doors at 11:30 to clean and they would not let me in. I spent gas and time to come here and because all information listed was incorrect and I lost sleep because I was sick an unable to sleep without the prescriptions they had in their store that they were unwilling to give me. Don't trust what you read on the internet, even on Google.
Every time I call the automated system hangs up the phone on me, the service inside and outside of this CVS branch is horrible! There are limited item in stock and what is in stock is locked up or behind the counter and it’s crazy long wait time for the pharmacy. Something needs to be done soon with the customer service or they need to shut this location down. Update: back at this cvs location and the line is backed all the way up aisle 13, No positive changes have been made within the 8 months since my last review. No one from management or corporate has commented on my post, this is very disappointing. Something needs to be done ASAP! @cvspharmacy
If you have ANY other options for pharmacies, go there. I’ve never NOT spent 30+ minutes in line here, even when I showed up before they opened (but they’re 24hours??!) and no one came to open for over an hour. This pharmacy has canceled my RXs without notifying me, and it’s impossible to get through by calling them. I once scheduled a flu shot, and when I got there they only had doses for children and the woman had no idea how I was even able to schedule an appointment because she thought they had “tried to turn that off”. Seriously, I think corporate needs to intervene because this CVS pharmacy is MISERABLE. Go. Anywhere. Else.
for two weeks now I have been trying to get my medication. I went up to CVS and some of the employees are very rude then on top of that they told me that must've had to be put in but I called two weeks later and it still has not got put in there, I am a severe asthmatic and and I get my medication from here and you can barely talk to anyone or get medication or on time I shouldn't have to wait a whole month for my controlling medication when I'm coming to the pharmacy to make sure that it gets ordered. This place is awful and I feel I'm going to change my. People will die like this cvs need new and better employees
Terrible! They don’t answer the phone. No one knows anything about anything. You’ll be waiting for days after they tell you it’ll be an hour to fill your prescription. Don’t forget to check your prescription because I’ve been given incorrect, damaged and even someone else’s prescriptions. I’m sure if the health department came here, it would be shut down. I’m only giving it one star because I’m unable to give it zero. I was in hood for almost an hour just for someone to pick up, then hang up. They also make up their own hours regardless of their hours and sign outside stating they are a 24 hour CVS.
Very Poor Customer Service , Pharmacy Line Always Out The Door. I Filled My Prescription And Purposely Went 3 Hours Later To Pick It Up And It Still WASNT Ready… Unacceptable I Had Gotten My Wisdom Teeth Taken Out The Same Day And Had To Wait An Additional Hour & 30minutes For The Medicine Standing In Line Literally Crying Because Of How Much Pain I Was Enduring And They Kept Telling Me 5more Minutes When In Fact They Hadn't Even Looked Nor Started To Fill My Prescription. I Know How Much The People In That Area Depend On This CVS But They Seriously Need New MANAGEMENT In Every Department……
I don't know who I just spoke with, but she was EXTREMELY rude. I called to update my insurance, and when I tell her what it is, she goes, "It's $10." I go, "What is $10?" Her: You have to pay $10. Me: OK. I have to pay $10 for what? Her: It's $10. Me: OK, do I owe you $10? Aetna? Is it the copay for the medicine? Her: It's the co-pay for your medicine. Me: Ok, that's what I was trying... Her: *hangs up the phone* Customer service is still really appreciated. Some of the staff is really nice, but the lines are way too long, and slow for them to think they can talk to people any kind of way.
I’ve been on hold just over 2 hours to find out the status of my prescription. My doctors office called it in yesterday and I attempted to pick it up this morning. The lady at the pharmacy told me they hadn’t received the script, so my doctor called it in AGAIN. This time I called before driving back over. I literally could’ve almost been to NY in the time that I’ve been sitting on hold. A man answered and I told him what I needed and then he put me back on hold without saying anything. I totally understand you may be understaffed, but this place is completely unprofessional.
There are NO products in this store, I have never seen this many bare shelves in a CVS! I wouldn't even bother trying to get a prescription there, there's no way they carry more meds than products. It's really unfortunate to see how corporate companies treat people in low income neighborhoods. You can see why the employees are so miserable and rude; they are constantly dealing with ticked off customers who come in to find that nothing is either ready or even available. I'm tempted to stop shopping at any CVS, they clearly think nothing of Black people!
So disgusted by everything at this store, I’ve complained in every way I know how, but nothing has changed. I believe that the chain isn’t so happy being in this part of town so why should they care or not care, what services it provides, the ppl they hire, the management of the store, the cleanliness of its inside and out, it connection to the community. CVS is an Older Company and no how to treat customers with respect. When you don’t care it shows and in this neighborhood it is Beaming!!!! So pitiful
Would like to rate this location zero stats but that's not an option. It is absolutely ridiculous that no one in the pharmacy answers the phone. I called four different times as well as my doctors office. No one should have to physically visit the pharmacy just to speak with a member of the pharmacy staff. I will just have to take my business elsewhere. I will not patronize a pharmacy or store that has such a lack of customer service or care for their customers. Do not recommended. Go elsewhere.
I went to the store today to help my lady pickup her prescription. She called me and I made it to the pharmacy in 20 minutes. She was told it would be ready in a half an hour but an hour and 10 minutes later it still wasn't ready! The young lady repeatedly stated he's working on it when we kept asking was it ready yet. It doesn't take 2 hours to place medicine in a tube or bottle and the lady at the desk should be more informed about delays! We left!!
NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!!! I visited here at 5am on 12/7/21. They are not open, despite what both Google maps and the CVS website states. So frustrating!!! After waiting for them to open, since no other CVS locations in my area were open at that hour, I asked the man at the register why the hours weren't updated. He was incredibly rude, combative, and condescending. Nothing short of a HORRIBLE customer service experience. Avoid this location at all costs!!!
That one star is because there’s a Minute Clinic here. Heed my advice: DO NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTION HERE. They are INEPT and will keep you sitting there for HOURS when there’s literally no one else in line or waiting. Something is wrong with this CVS. Side note: 7 days after Mother’s Day they had about 20 bunches of dead roses still being advertised by the front door. That should tell you all you need to know!
Pharmacy: Starting with the positive, Javonnia and not sure of the other young lady’s name...they were very polite and helpful. The negative, thought it was unprofessional for the head pharmacist to shout requesting my information from across the counter..first & last name && date of birth shouting through a face mask was not the best way to relay information. Only to repeat it to the cashier when she arrived to the main counter.
This CVS needs to b closed ! The service is the worse I have ever experienced ! No one ever answers the phone ! I stood n line while calling the pharmacy department there r about three people n line the entire store had about eight customers no one ever picked up the phone ! I got out of line walked around the store still on hold after twenty minutes ! This is pathetic ! And this is a normal situation ! Happens all the time !!!!!
Pharmacy is swamped and under staffed (at least by people who know what they're doing). After never having my prescriptions ready when i go in person (well after the doc has called them in) they told me to call ahead but they DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. So basically a non functional pharmacy. Also given how much overhead CVS assumes they could unlock items like detergent and cough drops and not treat their customers like criminals.
The customer service at the pharmacy is outrageous, I stood in line to get my medicine only to get to the counter to be told they don't have change! Then I was told, not asked, to wait on the side for my change! When I asked why they didn't have change they called security. I explained that every time I come here for my medicine, theirs always a problem and that I was a local guide and I will report my experience in this store!
This place is the worst drug store known to man. I wish I had looked at the previews before I went there to have prescriptions filled. I called yesterday and was on hold for an hour and a half to talk to no one . I stayed on hold simply because I wanted to see what would happen. And then they didn't have what I needed so now I have to wait for it to come in. Terrible and unprofessional.
This location is not 24hrs they close at 11, if not 11:30 pm. Went in today and they lost my husband's medication after being sent in on Tuesday morning. The front door was locked for some reason, there was a worker on his phone. (Keep in mind it's 830 pm.) The lady we talked to at the pharmacy had an I could care less and didn't even try to see what went wrong.
1star is to high for this location. This location advertised as being open 24 hours. When I arrived the doors were locked. I saw employees in the store. They chose not to let customer's in. I attempted to call both the pharmacy and the front of the store with no success. All of this occurred while I saw employees in the store talking to each other.
I greeted pharmacy rep several times and dis not greet back. How rude! She was short with me and not helpful at all. Definitely needs a class in customer service. This occurred on 6/23/2022 9:20 PM, just incase leadership wants to provide feedback and right the ship. I doubt it though. Wish I could give zero stars.
As of late the customer service has been bad. I've been holding on the line for over an hour because they're only two people working in the pharmacy. They need more staff. It's best to go into the store. I'm grateful I was able to get in touch with the store manager who was happy to assist me.
Places life altering rx on hold without prior notification. Understaffed. Under paid. Carpet reeks of urine. Drop ceiling is always open. Hvac system barely works so place is sweltering. Chairs are cloth and filthy. Apparently cvs doesn't care about their employees let alone their consumers.
Is the store open hours or not? Got here on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 5:30am and the store looks open but the door is locked. Even the hours of operation says that they're supposed to be open 24 hours. The new hours signs are really posted on the inside of the store. Who is the manager here?
This place is not for this area it takes to long lady told 10 minutes it's a whole hour they should close this down asap as they make this community better switch over to Walgreens never late it's the best place ever everybody that goes here need to switch to Walgreens A.S.A.P.
Terrible. I booked an appointment through CVS Web site at 6:00 am. I arrived only to find the store doesn't open until 7 am. Yes, 24 hours is just a joke. Go to Safeway. And my appointment was automatically canceled after 10 min of my arrival to this store. AVOID CVS
The women in the pharmacy department are very rude. The line to pick up your medication is very long. They should have a line for disabled people and senior citizens..they shouldn’t have to wait in that long a** line. I’m switching my prescriptions to Apex pharmacy.
Imagine having. Sick child and running to your local pharmacy for fever reducers yet they have absolutely no children’s Motrin or Tylenol. Their suggestion was to use Benadryl. SMH. I wouldn’t even trust this pharmacist to fill my meds after this. I’ll drive to VA.
This CVS is no longer 24 hours. I called tonight to speak to a pharmacist with a question I have and eventually hung up because I realized the pharmacy was likely closed already. Please update the hours on here so people know how to get the service they need.
Awful CVS location. Poor customer service. Never have refills ready, and make no attemt to contact the customer when they cannot fill life saving medication..... Like insulin! Unorganized and usually gives bad/false information regarding their procedures.
Bought RXs in to be filled at 9:15 am and was told that my RXs would be ready in one hour, came back at 10:50am wasn't ready told fifteen minutes It's now 11:21am and I'm still waiting staff is like whatever. This store needs to be shut down.
Worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. They’ll leave you on hold for literally hours, don’t expect them to ever pick up the phone. Unacceptable for a pharmacy. This pharmacy makes getting your medication a hassle every single time, go somewhere else
If only they answered the phone!!! Like most other CVS stores this one also keeps you on hold forever. Am at 37 minutes now and still holding. I really do need to go to mail order, take all my prescriptions away from CVS.
Terrible service, long wait on the phone and this location is no longer 24hrs. The kicker is they are scheduled to close at 12am, but they would not let you inside at 11:30pm. This by far is the worst CVS you can go to.
I don’t get around good, so I call and they place me on hold for over an hour and the phone disconnects. This has happen to me before. I go down there only to fine out they need to contact my doctor. Smh.
Today I visit the cvs 320 40th St NE The manager John gave me wonderful costumer service he was so helpful and respectful & very professional Keep up the good job we need more employees like him around
Absolute worst customer service experience ever! The Cashier Yasmeen is rude and very unprofessional, had her earphones in her ears, is just unpleasant to interact with and doesn't know how to count.
Super Rude to customers. Pharmacy and front registers. Occasionally a manager might be pleasant and helpful but most employees act like they aren’t in customer service and like you’re bothering them.
Generally convenient and faster than the grocery store for some items. Note despite the 24h signs outside, this place is not open past midnight. As of 2/25/20 anyways they were locked and closed
I do not like this location, the employees are very unpleasant to deal with and also the store hours change they close everyday at 12am and they open at 6am now it's no more 24hours .
They are not 24Hours even though it says so on google, got me leaving the house at 3:30 am for some pampers. Lights and everything are on in the store but doors are locked.
The Pharmacist @320 40th st is Horrible...slow Condescending Un caring & Unprofessional...THE STAFF IS SLOWER THAN MOLASSES N THE WINTER TIME... …
Website, phone recording & sign on building all say open 24 hours. WRONG... Small new sign on the door says open at 7am !! After driving for 30 min .....
The most incompetent pharmacy department I've had to deal with. Unable to to pick the phone nor fill out orders as prescribed. Completely useless!!!
The store does not open at 6am it's 7am.I wish Google or whomever runs this to correct this issue I've inconvenienced myself for coming for nothing.
The store hour infront of the door and website says @12am the closing time, but they closed their doors @11:30pm and the security being rude....
I had the unfortunate experience of traveling 20 minutes to this store at 12:30 am only to find people stocking shelves but the doors locked.
This pharmacy is a disaster.and completely mismanaged. Easily 30+ minute wait for prescription pickup and they say it's like this every day
Great service and products. Prices are high but products are if great quality. Shout out to Hirut for her support during my visit.
The customer service was excellent!! And the store looks very organized and neat. Highly recommend this CVS store. GOOD JOB!!
The lowest CVS pharmacy on EARTH…….. I HATE COMING HERE. Send HELP….. Don’t fire nobody. But they need to be TRAINED AGAIN.
The employee Lidet help me when I needed someone to take time to help me when I wanted some items she was very helpful.
They go to lunch on time but open back up late.... Lines are all the way by the doors. They have to do better..,...
Worst pharmacy the pharmacy is telling me that they don't have access to there medication after I waited an hour
There was someone in the store and when I called to see why it was closed but is under 24hours he was just rude
You all and your family members made it that way always bring you and your kids trying to steal ♂️ …
Cashier Hirut Tirubalew was very grateful and very grateful. She was very amazing customer service
Rudest pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. They should be ashamed of how they treat people.
There's nothing to improve I really love their customer service and how they're open to help.
They need more cashiers to speed up the line and the store needs to be fully cleaned.
They are not 24 hours . Need to update the site. It’s a real inconvenience.
The worst Cvs I have ever come across.. it is terrible at this location.
Hirut was the absolute best! I recommend this CVS and her service 100%!
I saw it’s open 24 hours but when I drove for 10 minutes it was closed
6 am and not open. Doors locked not an associate in sight.
Closes at 9pm. Not 24/7. They need to update this page.
Hirut, she was very helpful…. Thank you so much
Says 24 hours but isn’t. Make it make sense.
It was great and helpful Tigist and Hirut.
Thank you for patient for every customer
Good Customer service and great smile
