Cozy, trendy little cafe, with a park nearby if you are walking in the area. Me and my mocha spent some time together. They suggested I try the oat milk in my mocha, which I did, and I didn't mind it. I don't know if I'm crazy about it; it may be an acquired taste. She did say how she felt it had a taste closer to milk, so if you are looking for that sort of alternative to milk, that may be the choice for you! They also have almond and soy milk alternatives, for an extra $0.75. The prices are similar to Starbucks, so you are paying for quality here. My mocha was just over $5. The place is a little small, so it may be worth calling ahead to see if there are places to sit. There are also a few tables outside on the sidewalk. I can tell the place is environmentally conscious, given that they provide recyclable straws. Bonus! They provide wifi, and the password is ilovecoffee.

Great friendly & fast service, delicious cappuccino & croissant- my perfect breakfast on the go. In the St. Boniface neighbourhood, small cafe with limited space (from out on the street you can see the Human Rights Museum within sight just on the other side of the river.) In late Feb when I visited they had special drinks celebrating Festival du Voyageur. Without a doubt the best espresso and americano I've had outside of Europe. A small, comfortable place with a great attitude and phenomenal coffee. The runaway best of the four I tried in Winnipeg. I think warm and cozy were invented for Café Postal. And both the hot chocolate and herbal tea were given rave reviews. Will be back every time I'm in town, no doubt.

Excellent espresso-based drinks at a good price. Nice décor and feel, is definitely a neighbourhood favourite. Service est aussi disponible en français ☺. Recent expansion added a lot of seating and good WiFi.

Best place in town if you're interested in specialty coffee. I'm an espresso lover and very picky about it, so I was very happy to find Cafe Postal after a few disappointing experiences in other coffee shops. They have an awesome coffee subscription program and they are offering delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are very friendly and eager to give you good recommendations if you're looking for some beans. I can't wait to be able to go there again and enjoy a nice coffee with some croissants.

An ok place to stop in if you're in the neighbourhood. I feel the teas (loose) are old - no real discernable scents from any of them. The water used for it was not super hot, and as a result, the teas didn't steep fully, resulting in a weak 'cuppa'. Either that or there wasn't enough tea in the satchel. The place is quite small/cosy with no real comfortable seating available. I'd go again if I'm in the neighbourhood, but wouldn't go out of my way to make a special stop. Staff is super friendly.

Instead of going to our usual morning coffee place, we decided to cross the city for something different. Postal Cafe on Provencher Blvd was suggested. What a nice surprise! This is a great cafe with delicious coffee and croissants. A newly renovated space is ready for the post-pandemic re-opening. We will be sure to come back and enjoy the indoor space. Today, we enjoyed our coffee on a nearby boulevard bench in the sunshine. Definitely worth it to stop in at Postal Cafe. THX

when I wanted to order with the counter in the middle, for a long time she chatted with staff, treating me like an invisible man. I kept looking at how long she’d do that because I wasn’t busy. Then she reluctantly asked me if I would order. I easily noticed that her tone and expression had changed, because she was very friendly to the two customers before my turn. The only between difference others and me was skin color. I hope they will serve it more maturely.

had the BEST oat vanilla latte & iced latte here if my life. I had to come back to tell the baristas! I’m travelling west to east across Canada.. In BC I’ve always felt pretty spoiled with great coffee roasters, so finding Postal Coffee in Winnipeg is a true hidden gem love the staff, always so friendly & they take the time to weigh, measure and come out with incredible latte art too. Much love postal, thank you.. you’re all the best! ✌❤️☕️

  • Cee M

I love the drink items here, the cafe is very tiny with a cozy feel. It's a nice spot to sit and do some work or reading or talk with friends. Maximum seating is approx 8 people for the entire cafe so seating is never guaranteed and goes very quickly. Though there's a ton of great shops and beautiful landmarks to see while walking around the neighbourhood, which is a great alternative if the cafe is full.

Fantastic little cafe in the heart of St Boniface. Serving hot and cold beverages in French and English. Amazing sweets from local bakeries, a variety of coffee beans second to none, and a staff that makes you feel like you are invited to their own home. And, if you are up early enough, you might meet Gary. We like Gary.

These guys have been consistent for my cortado runs. The 4 star is for their service and consistency but not giving 5 stars because of my personal experience after trying various coffee shops like Bluebottle/Philz in SF Bay Area to B2 Coffee in San Jose to Vivace in Seattle to places like Fahrenheit in Toronto. In Winnipeg I found Cafe Postal to be a go to shop!

  • Ariana Debreuil

The best vanilla latte in Winnipeg! They use a delicious vanilla syrup that I haven't found any other coffee shop using, and I drink a lot of coffee lol The staff is always so friendly here and always Have a nice conversation with them. The one downside is you have to walk downstairs to get in which is tricky sometimes. A must try in Winnipeg!

Absolutely love this place. The best vanilla syrup in town. Staff are extremely friendly and there is always a good vibe here. Coffee is made to perfection and this place is my weekend coffee treat. I drive all the way here. It's well priced and you can use Local Frequency here for money back, it's great! Highly recommend both :)

  • Colleen B

My favourite local coffee shop. Always new, inventive coffee and tea lattes, a variety of milk choices, and a comfortable atmosphere. There is also a small selection of pastries and sandwiches, usually including vegetarian and/or vegan options. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but the roast they use is delicious. Highly recommend.

  • Cherry McLeod

Love this spot -- always friendly and easy-going staff serving up the best coffee and treats. The blueberry latte is perfection -- always the right amount of sweetness to coffee ratio.

Aiya matcha - zen cafe blend, is without a doubt, the best matcha I have ever tasted! A lovely starbucks barista actually recommended it from Cafe Postal and now that I've tried it, I'm officially hooked lol. (plus, I'm saving so, so much money now that I'm not going to starbucks all the time). Delicious!(:

Although seating is limited, the Café experience of an independent coffee shop can't be beat. Pleasantly surprised by the latte art, and wonderful bilingual service. I'd recommend anyone who's in the St. Boniface area to give Café Postal a try.

Cafe Postal is the best local cafe. Located a walk away from the forks, perfect to pick up your coffee and go for a walk along the red river. The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is always delicious with EXTREMELY good prices. The salami sandwich is wicked also. Always recommended!!

Ridiculously good bean. Aggressively fair pricing. Can be on the slower side when busy but you can't rush perfection. Just be patient and wait, it's worth it.

Love this place, it has a homey feel to it, and it always feels like I am travelling to a different country or province because everyone speaks wonderful French! Coffee is great, customer service is wonderful and seating is beautiful (I personally love sitting in front of the windows).

Came in to try the croissants, also ordered a coffee (black). The coffee was quite strong, so strong it came with an odd taste. The croissants were big but very dry, resulting in too much flakiness.

Great coffee, great location! It is always a pleasure to drop by! I also have a coffee subscription through Cafe Postal and they always provide the best service! They have a wide variety of coffee available and their staff (Louis) checks in to see if the coffee my preferences!

  • Ashley Andryo

Absolutely love cafe postal. It is warm and friendly. They have local baking and a nice selection of coffee and teas. You can sit for awhile inside or take your order to go! They have a special blueberry latte available a few times a year, it is amazing. I can't get enough!

  • Brad Harder

I had the best almond latte here last week since moving to Winnipeg! After living in Australia for the last 3 years where independent coffee shops rule the market, I am so glad I found this place to satisfy my coffee needs. Thank you for knowing how to make awesome drinks!

Great coffee, beautiful cafe and friendly staff. Like most local businesses in St. B they have really narrow business hours. We need more cafes to stay open later in the city but as much as I would like them to I won't hold my breath for cafe postal extending their hours.

  • Rosita Lopez

A very sweet little cafe on Provencher Ave. I really enjoyed my visit and had a fantastic Americano. My only comment is they only seem to offer 3 kinds of sandwiches on brown bread (can warm them with a sandwich grill), or else sweets. Its a lovely quiet little place :)

  • J T

Amazing coffee, cheery staff, and fine pastry made this shop a joy to visit. Limited seating along the front window and humidity dogs up class in cold winter months. Seemed like all the regulars were popping in while we were there. Will make a point to be back!

Going to Café Postal is always the highlight of my week. Because I go once a week to the office, I’m always looking forward to my favourite Chai Latte. The employees and the owner are always super friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend!

  • Renèe Harbek

Just had a coffee from here & a croissant. It was very delicious. The energy in the place was very nice and very warm for me.The staff were very friendly, excellent service. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a coffee and quick brekkie.

  • Patrick C

Not only the best coffee but definitely the most personable and warm staff of any coffee shop in the city. The store itself also has just as much personality as the employees and gives off a cozy nyc vibe. A great little walk from the forks.

  • Thomas Kelly

Whilst visiting my brother in St. Boniface Winnipeg, he took us to his favorite wee coffee spot at the Cafe Postal. I have to say, that I'm not sure if it was the excellent service from the barista's, the choices of coffee's and teas on

Our favourite coffee spot in the city. We don’t live in St. Boniface anymore, but go out of our way to get coffees here. Always changing bean selection from superb roasters around Canada and the best London fog.

Great coffee. It wasn't busy @ 2 pm in the afternoon. They have wi-fi and great window seats. It was cold outside and sadly they don't have a microwave to warm up the pastries but the pastries were tasty!

Pretty good coffee. Experience is low due to COVID, only one person allowed in the store, not even a spouse. Coffee was averagely good and cute shop just can't see much of it at the minute!

  • Nathan Ricard

Great coffee and service, love the espresso and various cold brew mixes. Really nice little shop to sit inside or out and have a chat with friends or people watch. Definitely recommend.
