UPDATE TO REVIEW: 23/09/2023 So, I was eventually called by, I believe, the manager of this branch (at 10h25 on Monday, 18 September - 2½ weeks after the offending event). I apologised for not being able to talk as I was in an online Teams meeting at the time, and was informed that I would be contacted again by latest Wednesday. Needless to say, I haven't been contacted again. I am not surprised. The less said, the better. REVIEW: 01/09/2023 I have frequented the Classico branch for many years, so am able to make a major comparison, and not a good one at that. Botanico and Classico, from my experience, are like night and day. They have similar, almost identical menus, but the overall experience at Botanico was disappointing. See my recent review of Classico. We went twice since. The staff at Classico are incredibly friendly, and the overall experience is fantastic. Botanico leaves much to be desired. I booked several weeks ago for my partner's birthday at Botanico. When we arrived, the introduction was hardly warm and welcoming, and we were shown to the terrace and a choice of two tables. Having booked several weeks ago, and prepared to spend a lot of money for a special birthday, I was horrified at the tables offered. Rickety, small and empty, while adjoining tables had the finest glassware, cutlery, etc. It felt like we were placed at a table for persons awaiting take-aways. After asking to be moved, we were given a bigger table, but the surly attitude and the first impressions of this branch almost made me pack up and leave in embarrassment. To the drinks order. My partner's whiskey sour was three quarters ice and I am not exaggerating. I won't even comment further. He asked for another one afterwards with less ice and was more satisfied. It seriously felt like shrinkflation, and I loathe feeling ripped off. By this point, my blood was starting to boil. Thankfully the starters arrived and were pleasant. Although my partner did mention that there was so much sauce rather than chicken livers, and two tiny Crostinis to eat them with. My Gnocchi Gorgonzola was fairly impressive, but I found the sauce a little watered down compared to the thick, creamy consistency I am used to. The service, in general, scores 1 star, but that of our waiter was generally good, hence the R200 tip we gave him at the end. The 1 star is for the overall service experience or lack thereof. For mains, my partner chose the sea bass and I chose the pork belly, with triple-cooked fries for the table. My pork belly was enjoyable, but the crackling was almost inedible. It spoiled the entire dish. My partner found the sea bass bland and messy. It was hardly a beautifully plated dish, and had far too much mash. I found the pork belly portion was a little too small for the size of the mashed roasted onion and sweet potato that enrobed it. As for the chips at R85, one can be forgiven for expecting nothing less than perfection. I have made Heston Blumenthal triple-fried chips, and I have had them elsewhere, including at Classico, so I know exactly how they should taste, and these were embarrassing. We ate two chips each, which bordered on roadhouse slap chips, and I explained to the waitron that we were less than impressed AND that they were not triple-fried chips. Sadly, these were not removed from the Bill. Nobody apologise or asked our thoughts. I wasn't arguing further because, by that stage, I had had enough. Dessert was average. A much smaller portion of pavlova than expected, and some of the fruits used were underripe and sour. The cappuccinos were at least good. Total bill was R1,733 which included a R200 tip, and which I was probably too generous to give. On the whole, a disappointing birthday experience which left me apologizing profusely to my partner. I will not be back. Certainly not at this branch. I have booked another dining experience for my partner elsewhere, as a belated birthday dinner - after wiping all memory of this disastrous experience.

This was my third time at this restaurant. Coming for their pork belly dish which is usually amazing. Unfortunately this time my food wasn't so great. One of my 2 pieces of the pork belly was burnt. Only found out when I was about to eat it. Asked the waiter to get it fixed, next thing I know, a guy called Warrick who apparently is the manager there, came to tell me how much he would have appreciated it if I had asked him to fix my food in the beginning instead of complaining when i am half way through! Explained that I only noticed it when I was about to eat that piece as the first one was fine, but he still insisted I should have said it sooner. Not sure if I was supposed to turn my food upside down before eating it! As if this level of rudeness was not enough, this so called manager went on to tell me how the meat was not burnt, and the diference between burnt meat and caramelised! Like really? Surely one doesn't need to go to a cooking school to know when you have been served burnt food! Needless to say I left without having dessert!

The place was beautiful, the staff was amazing too. My friends and I were there this past Saturday. Today is 2:24am and I am still feeling the effects of going to Botanico. Friend 1: ordered bolognaise (beef and pork or something along those lines) Friend 2: ordered salmon salad Friend 3: me, I ordered stuffed calamari My friends shared in my stuffed calamari. I felt sick and nauseated even before I finished my meal. When we left I got home and just slept because I kept feeling like I was going to throw up. Bottom line is, it's Tuesday morning and I still have a running stomach and still throwing up and have been unable to stomach anything since. My friends also had the same reaction unfortunately, none of us was spared, which makes me think it was the calamari or maybe even all our different dishes. I strongly suspect food poisoning and will go have myself checked today. Honestly a very unpleasant experience that we paid good money for. I need an explanation or some kind of communication from you guys concerning this.
This was our favorite place. We came last vday & loved it & been back several times. After last night I won't be ever coming back. We were in the green house. Connected to the pub where there was an event. No problem they told us on arrival about that. What was a problem Is the consistent up and down. See they used that door to take food in and out. But that door was supposed to be locked so was always a 5 min event of knocking & raising voices to get inside. After the 3rd instance I complained to our waitor. The lady who had been taking the food up and down came to apologize & said they're locking up so not to worry. 5 minutes later the photographers from the event decide to reverse park their pickup right by our table. They demand door to be opened and fling it open onto our table. After 3 more minutes they turn to say oh we don't mind. I don't pay 500r to expect that service. I told the manager whose only reply was sorry please sit inside. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Never ever again.
I celebrated my husband's birthday at Cafe Del Sol in Bryanston. I was guaranteed that everything will run smoothly and that I had nothing to worry about. To my disappointment, I had to ask for our waitress numerous times to get drinks orders, to put bread down on the table etc. We were 12 people which obviously takes more co-ordination than 4! Not to mention I had to order cake (which was ice cold and had to be warmed after cutting it) from the restaurant as they charge a R250 surcharge per cake you bring in. This was all topped off with a bill where they charged me for four cakes instead of the two I ordered (an overcharge of R 1200) which one of the guests picked up. All in all quite a disappointing first time experience at a restaurant whose reputation clearly is a mismatch to the actual experience.
Feeling satisfied and content after dinner at Café del Sol Botanico. Great food. For the appetizer, I tried the Beef carpaccio served with rocket, Parmesan and celery. Really lovely. The other starter was deep fried halloumi with bits of grapefruit and orange. Also delicious. For mains, rack of lamb on a bed of risotto with peas and mushroom with just the right amount of truffle oil. Served with still crisp broccoli and baby carrots. Yum. The other main was the sea bass on potato mash and mushrooms. It was gooooood. The dessert was chocolate fondant and with peanut butter ice cream. Simply decadent and delicious. Great food. Friendly attentive staff. Great vibe. Just the right amount of noise where you can still hear each other clearly even with a full restaurant.
Generally good food but service was poor and slow.

Lots of parking available but the centre closes most the exits at night so we had to wonder around the shopping centre looking for an open exit. A simple sign would make it so much easier than having to scurry around a cold shopping centre in the middle of winter!
We were looking forward to a lovely dinner on Thursday evening and although the food was excellent, the experience was somewhat ruined by the terrible service. There were four of us at the table and we had to share two menus, it took ages to order drinks and food and we sat for an unacceptable length of time with dirty plates on our table. When our main course arrived, we received 6 knives and two forks and it took way too long for another two forks to arrive. The staff generally looked passed me every time I tried to get attention. Considering this restaurant is expensive, I was very disappointed with the service. I hope they manage to get this sorted!
We booked and asked for a table on the veranda. Ended up with a child shouting at his dad. Moved inside to have more kids sitting at the window kicking it and parents and management did nothing to stop it. Then the table next to next to us joined a teleconference in speaker phone and management only stopped it after we complained. Then they added an extra 0 to our credit card payment so we had to sit around to resolve that. Our day was an absolute disaster. Probably wont go back.

Decided to celebrate our anniversary at this restaurant. I had the Beef Wellington, it was fine. My expectations may have been extremely high. My wife had the Sea Bass that was extremely delicious. For dessert we had to try the Tiramisu, the taste was great however some of it was still frozen. The staff were excellent however we had about 3 different waiters, I can't tell who was assigned to our table. Our wine glasses were removed from the table before the bottle of wine was finished. Felt like they just wanted to turn the table and get you out of there. Not sure if I'll be back.

Disappointed. The Classico (original) restaurant is always great to go to. While the food was good at Botanico, the service was really sub par. Our waiter had no idea of the menu, nor of the items which were out of stock. When asked for the second time whether the prime cut was Angus or Wagyu, his response was Wagyu. The final result was a tasty Angus steak. A storm blew in during starters and, once the roof began leaking on us, we made a move to another table without so much as a word from the manager during or after. Side note - the bathrooms aren't nearly as neat as they should be. Sticking to Classico from now on.
My partners lamb pasta had way too much salt. We told the waitress, but no response. So the food was returned, but she was not offered an alternative, even the chef did not come and see why the food was returned uneaten. I didn't tell the waitress to remove pasta off our bill as I was not in an arguing mood, hence I didn't ask to speak to the manager. However I won't be returning any time soon. You can't pay premium prices and the waitress does not know how to ensure the customer is happy, when the food is returned uneaten after being told it was too salty.

I dine here regularly and must commend the consistent excellence of the food and service. They offer a wide choice of both traditional and original dishes very well prepared and presented. The dishes that are individually prepared do take longer but the results are beyond expectation. Attached to the restaurant is an exceptional lounge bar offering cocktails and high end liquors, a good place to start and end the meal or just meet friends for a drink. The place is situated in a suburban shopping mall so there is lots of free parking. The downside is that the mall is deserted at night and a little creepy.
We booked for Sunday lunch and to be honest, won't come back to this venue. The rack of lamb is not a rack of lamb as is the case at Blueberry Square, it is 4 single lamb chops. Blueberry Square also have table cloths on there tables. I wanted coffee at 15:55, but was told the kitchen had closed. Staff should have mentioned that the kitchen closes at a certain time when we ordered our meal. We also wanted dessert, but that too was not allowed. More competent and related supervision shoild be prominent instead of focusing on the indigenous population. Clearly very disappointed.
Went for a year end lunch. Felt as if the staff were struggling to cater for the event. We were about 100 people, and they really couldn't get the food out on time. The halloumi was delicious, the chicken a bit over cooked and the berry pavlova was delicious. Overall cute place but was a bit cramped. It was extremely hot in the venue and it seemed as if the aircons were not working.

I had an early dinner here on 24.01.23. I had the calamari squid heads starter and smoked salmon salad. I had not eaten all day, saving myself for this dinner. Something I ate, was not OK. I have been sick ever since. My doctor says it is food poisoning. So disappointed... I found the response from the restaurant unptofessional and very insulting. So, somehow they had the contact numbers of everyone else and called them to find out if they were fine. No call to myself.

I think it is iniquitous that most of your local white wines are sold at a price of R600 to over R1000.00, the average price being around R800.00 ( did not even dare look at the red wine list!) We did manage to order the one and only wine sold at R175.00 called Two dogs and a peacock. Luckily the name of the wine broke the ice of a very awkward situation and was actually most pleasing. The food was also delicious and at acceptable prices, so why on earth put patrons back's up on opening the wine menu? Please explain. Mrs Di Peacock-Edwards
Oh dear! What an appalling experience. We took another couple for a special farewell dinner. Three of us were served, but with no cutlery, Then the wine came, still no cutlery, so the wine was left unopened, while the waiter went for the knives and forks. Then the fourth meal arrived. The food was hardly warm. The same happened with the desert. Three out of four. Service absolutely shocking. I have another booking for another farewell, but will be cancelling it. We'll be going to the Olivedale, Cafe del Sol which has never let us down.
Disappointing experience. Ordered mussels for starters only to be told its out of stock. Ordered sea bass for mains, also to be told its out of stock. Catch of the day also out stock. Unable to order coffee due to the centre not having water. Unable to have hot milk with the tea that was ordered as a substitute also because there was no water. None of this was communicated when we sat down so each time we ordered we had to find out something was out of order or couldn't be ordered.

Enjoyed the food, really good. Hadn't finished my starter and the waiter was already at the table with my main course. I hadn't come for a fast food experience, quite the contrary, so sent back. Happy with everything else except I think R45 for a double espresso is excessive. Edwin is the waiter name on my bill, but two alternated (part of the food delivery problem I think) and no doubt Edwin will know if he or the other waiter brought the main course without checking the table. Pleasant restaurant, would certainly return.
Food was absolutley delicious! Loved the lamb and beetroot tagliatelle and the sea bass. Deserts were sublime. Service left a bit to be desired unfortunately - with ordered drinks being forgotten and having to be asked for again, and 1 desert being forgotten and only brought after a reminder and additional 15 mins when everyone else had finished eating. The waiters excuse of being fully booked with only 4 instead of 12 waiters for everyone isn't really good enough, especially at the high end prices being charged.
We went there for some cake and coffee. The service wasn't great, some of the staff don't seem very well trained. We also couldn't have coffee because they ran out of water??? The pavlova tasted like it was made with some kind of spray cream but the cheesecake wasn't bad. Overall quite overpriced for the standard of food and service. If you're paying 100+ for a dessert it should be higher quality.

Aside from the fact that when our waitress got to us, she told us there were no mussels and then moments later the white man who got there after us order the mussels and gets it, we had a good experience. (We we’re not even interested in the mussels and didn’t even ask about it.) We were only there because my husband wanted me to try the lamb risotto, which was good. He had the beef wellington which looked great. Service was excellent aside from the first point but the atmosphere was really stiff.
The setting inside the restaurant is pleasant, but not that fancy compared to the prices on the menu. Worth it if you go for lunch or a night out with your friends, but I wouldn't recommend it for a date night. The greenhouse is fairly empty from plants, which is disappointing when booking in the greenhouse, I would expect a beautiful and lush look. The food was tasty, but I wouldn't say it exceptional. The service was also not to it's best, and we had to get our waiters attention to get assisted.
This restaurant has a wonderful ambience and is a lovely setting for a dinner or lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, but not amazing (for the prices). The haloumi starter was a winner, but the balsamic steak was very overdone and dry (and lacking flavour) and the pesto pasta was tasty but unexciting. The chocolate hot pot redeemed the meal though. I would go back to try some of the other things on the menu, but I'd say that it was quite pricey for ok-to-good food.
Service was bad Waited ages to be served and give a drinks order. Never saw our waitress during the meal. Was not offered another drink or even desert. Then waited 40 minutes for waitress to return after plates were taken away. Eventually had to get up and find someone to ask for the bill Outside area was dirty with cobwebs under the table and rubbish on the floor. Men’s bathroom run down. However the food was delicious It is really sad as used to go there often and service was always great
The Mushroom ravioli is something to drive out there to try! Delicious. They cared about our comfort and brought warm plates of food in spite of the cold weather, and checked that the temperature was pleasant where we sat, but also gave us a chance to enjoy to talk and enjoy our visit. Excellent attention to detail. Expensive, but a great experience. Highly recommended for those who want a better than average experience. Great for business meetings and reunions and special occasions.
I had a lovely experience. The food was good but not great. I had a beef and pork bolognaise but was expecting more though because this is an Italian restaurant. However, my friend had oxtail, veggies and mashed potatoe and she loved it! So maybe I'll get that instead next time. The service was rather slow. Food and drinks took a while to get to us. I did appreciate the hospitality though from our waitress. Please just improve on the turnaround times for food and drinks. Thanks!
My boyfriend loves this place and I can now see why. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is out of this world. The owner also puts very unique touches to the service, food and interior design of the restaurant. I can highly recommend their seafood risotto as well as the stuffed calamari. The little meringues after the meal were also a treat and a very nice alternative to the usual mints/coffee toffees. We will definitely be back for more.
My boyfriend made arrangements here last minute to take me on our first dinner date together (I flew in from Chicago), and was taken care by the amazing Maître d' Gugu who arranged us to have some champagne, and flowers for me at the table. Very lovely atmosphere here. We stayed here for hours, were nearly the last to leave. I will come again when I visit this area. Food was fantastic, unique and fresh.

I will be back! I'm a fan of the Landmark so the fact that they can make my cocktail and I can have dinner in this great place are a bonus. I went here with my work wife for her bday and I loved it! Risotto was on point The lamb cooked perfectly. Her steak was so delicious I almost had a second of buyers remorse. The dessert was sensational and a great way to end the meal. Yes the price is high but I don't mind paying for quality like this.
Service with Bright was non existant. Food was way below Italian quality. Seafood pasta was so overcooked it was breaking with each twist of the fork, tasteless. Gnocchi was good but the sauce again tasteless. The managers dissapered " couldn't be found". No espresso because there was no water. Charged us for some food we had to return. Served an Affogato with no coffee... Overall a very bad experience. Abismal service. Very dissapointed!!!
I experienced horrible customer service in 2 separate occasions. The second time was this past Friday (18 Nov 22) I ended up leaving because we waited 5+ minutes to be attended to. After being attended to we requested to move to a table outside, we were told the lady at the front manages table allocation. We waited for feedback from her for another 5 minutes or so till we decided to leave. Extremely disappointed

We were four for dinner. All the food ordered was outstanding. The Beetroot Carpaccio starter was especially good. The coffee Creme Brulee was a masterpiece - in great part because it was not straight out of the fridge, but rather was served at room temperature. When was the last time that happened to you! Only slight criticism was that service was occasionally a little erratic, but nothing wrong with the attitude. We will be back.
We love this restaurant and have eaten here several times and at different times of the day but dinner time is our favorite time to visit. They serve authentic Italian cuisine freshly prepared and served to perfection. We love the gnocchi and the dessert is always a great way to end of a meal.

Cafe del Sol Botanico was a delight. We ate the porcini mushroom and pea risotto, which was out of this world, and the danish feta, butternut and truffle oil pizza. We finished off the feast with a chocolate tart and Turkish delight ice cream. The food really was phenomenal. The ambience of the restaurant is also excellent, with natural themes and the sound of running water. I would highly recommend this for a date night!

We ordered starters, mains and desserts and all dishes were well presented and tasty. Fresh ingredients make a great meal, none was spared here. My fillet steak was ordered rare and this is what I received. Accompanied by parmesan shavings, rocket and a balsamic reduction, it was by far the best I've tasted. Service was good. Food arrived within a very reasonable time and with a smile. Thank you an awesome lunch.
Had dinner at Cafe del Sol - Bryanston. Great space and the bar vibes also looks and feel great. Service is amazing and the waiter (Gift) know their menu and make great recommendations Gugu has great service spirit and energy. She takes constructive feedback very well. Easy access and inclusive for all including persons with disability. The food is amazing and dessert heavenly - love their chocolate fondant.
Besides being a great restaurant with great food (the sea bass was particularly good!) I want to give a big shout out to Gugu the manager and her staff who were genuinely worried about a colleague that had over imbibed. She even followed up the next morning. Customer service and concern at the next level. The food is exceptional and Gugu’s constant presence ensures tip top service.

Ordered a takeaway from this branch and was extremely disappointed. The pasta was over cooked or stale as it was extremely soft and stuck together. There was only about 3-4 prawns in the dish and the portion was very small and expensive. I was quite disappointed as I had this meal before and this was nothing compared to what I previously had. Unfortunately would not be having this again.
New entry: we celebrated my parents birthday and anniversary in the private dining area today. What a pleasure! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Our waiters were professional and friendly. Gugu and her team did an amazing job today. Thank you! ~~~~~~ We went here for a family member's 80th birthday. The food was amazing and the service was brilliant.
Such good food we're all still talking about it.. Vibe was great.. Waiter was professional and knew the special offers list very well. Very central for most of us who went. Lots to do around bryanston afterwards. If you park in the right place you can even keep an eye on your car.. Slightly expensive but some of the cart is reasonable and very much worth it..

I would rate them higher if the prices weren't so ridiculous. It's good food, and you won't be disappointed there... but since opening in Bryanston (from their original in Olivedale) the family vibe is lost and the "honesty and authenticity" of good Italian food has been lost. Sadly it's too pretentious and expensive now to be a regular restaurant for me.
I’ve been here 3 times and each time, the food was delicious and the service very efficient. It’s a classy, warm beautiful and cozy restaurant that also accommodates children so that’s a plus. The pièce de résistance for me there is the Panacotta which is absolutely fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Really pleasant and classy atmosphere. You can comfortably have a conversation. Well laid out tables and comfortable chairs. Waiters are knowledgeable and polite. Extensive wine list and food menu. Food was excellently prepared and full of flavour. Pricing is on the higher side but then again appropriate to the quality of food. Highly recommended.
It's a nice cosy place in Bryanston. The ambience is great, the food bountiful, and tasty. I had the beef Wellington, it was great. Nice for a party or a date. Probably book ahead though. Now your question should be, "why not give it 5 stars?" Well that's simple, when quite full the service starts to lag and can out a dampener on the evening.
Really good food although slightly disappointing service. Frustrating when you always have to look for a waiter. Ours was attentive but not a lot of contribution from the team. One option of Port on the menu I don't think is acceptable for a restaurant of this supposed stature and serving the port unchilled didn't fit with the size of the bill
Took my friends here after hearing that it was a decent place. Turned out to be rather pathetic. Food was bland, overcooked and vastly overpriced. None of us finished our meals as we were rather disgusted. We went to Mochachos (of all places) afterwards and found better offerings there. Would highly recommend staying far away from this place
Incredible food.. Fantastic service.. Beautiful atmosphere and decor. Loved every minute there I had the mussel starter... It was by far the best mussels I've ever had the seafood risotto was exceptional as well as the dessert recommending this place to all. My boyfriend and I are planning to come back soon with family …
Amazing restaurant. Been there twice and once in the lounge for drinks. Went with family who had come in from outside the country and for a birthday dinner. Attentive staff, excellent food, portions are large for fine dining. Lovely steaks, pasta. Starters were almost meal size. Great selection of top shelf beers. Highly recommend!
The experience that my girlfriend and I had at this restaurant, was unbelievable. The food and the staff, were excellent. This is a family owned and run business and because of this, you know you will be receiving the best, uthentic Italian cuisine. This is an upmarket restaurant, with upmarket food. Definitely going here again.
Wonderful. The sea-food Risotto is probably the best thing I've eaten all year; the decor is beautiful; the service is decent. It's a pity it's essentially in a mall and they didn't have the wine I wanted unfortunately, but it was a lovely, lovely lunch. Dying to go back for the fillet I saw at a neighbouring table.
Cafe del Sol Botanico is a genius oldie that will never grow old! The attitude and service if the staff is a delight; in the absence of the sommelier, one of the ladies came to chat to me about which wine would be complement my dish. The food never disappoints. Pork belly was a bit dry, but all else made up for it!
This place is amazing. The interior is gorgeous, the seating is comfortable. The food is suberb. I love the prawns with the angel hairs, the spring rolls are yummy. I had the beef Wellington and it was really delicious. They also have virgin cocktails which is a big plus for me. The dessert was beautiful.
Classic inside. No reservation but within minutes was arranged. When seated power kept going off so I asked for a candle never arrived. Our food was devine very pricey and with the broccoli I asked for xtra butter did not receive. Other than those two flaws it was good. It was extremely busy but pleasant.

Mixed review. 4 meals, 2 excellent and 2 below par. The risotto and chicken were superb but my friend and I had seafood pasta which was bland and the tomato sauce was past it’s due date. The home made fettuccine in the seafood pasta were good but I just wish the chef would taste the food.
Café del Sol botanico hosted me and my boyfriend for our anniversary lunch. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The Balsamic beef fillet and rack of lamb gets 5/5 from us . I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a laid back spot with mouth-watering food. …
We really had the best evening here with the four of us , they have a branch in olive dale too ! Stunning food stunning evening , I had my birthday here with some really good friends and the service was great and so was the wine selection. The risotto is excellent , can’t wait to return
What a good food they have !! Heard a lot about this place and they kept their standards !!. Amazing food ..service ..ambience . Fresh black mussels were awesome . Pasta too good !! .It's worth visiting and trying the good food out there !! Delicious
My girlfriend and I went to Botanico last night. It was such a miss. The starter prawns were overcooked, dry and tough... The plating was poor. I complained and all I got was "We are sorry" . For mains we both had the chicken which was tough, overcooked and very dry. So disappointed.
Absolutely amazing evening at an event at the the restaurant. The food was superb and the whiskey was even better. Service was excellent and the event went on late into the night. Been to the cafe a few times in the past but this showed a different side to this estimed location.
Easily accesable restaurant with a great atmosphere and beautiful decor. The staff are all very professional, knows their menu, very helpful and friendly. The filled steak was absolutely fabulous, the best I've ever had and can highly recommend it. Worth every penny or cent!
Amazing meals, great service! They made our Wedding Anniversary special Can’t wait to go back!

The scenery is wonderful, but it's the most terrible service I've ever had at a restaurant. It took an hour to receive our two drinks, which were not tasty at all. They also do not serve all of the cocktails on their menu, even though they continue to advertise them.
Amazing atmosphere and beautiful restaurant. The food is very good and well presented. The only issue I had was the service was way too slow. We waited more than an hour to get our food. Overall, we will most probably give it another try when we are in the area.
Great food and great experience. Probably a bit on the expensive side but that is due to the venue. There are upside down plants and glass waterfalls. I also liked the quotes that had been written on the walls from people such as Bruce Lee. Well worth visiting
The service was excellent. So friendly and welcoming. My friend and I enjoyed our starters and main courses and agreed that we would definitely be back. The food was delicious.

Very good food, nice portion sizes, food well plated. Service is also good hence it is such a popular restaurant where it is difficult to find a table even during the week

Yes. Great Restaurant. Service Excellent. However some of the tables are to small to fit the number of people they put around them. Food was excellent. Not as great as the SIGNATURE restaurant .....but its getting there. Wine selection was excellent.
Food prices on the upper range but not tasty - we had the pasta. Service was satisfactory. Not sure I'd return.

We didn't make a reservation but the manager was so gracious in accommodating us.The ambience is so warm and chic. I loved every moment of it. The food was amazing so was the service and the prices are really good for the quality we received
Atmosphere is great, muted (in a good way), chill music, trendy slightly older crowd, upmarket design and good food (albeit extremely expensive - the 7 fries i bought cost a lot of money lol). The complimentary popcorn is surprisingly yummy.
Such an amazing Sunday lunch at Cafe del Sol Botanico. Everything, from starters to desserts was wonderful. The haloumi was crispy on the outside and so tender or soft inside and went amazingly well with the avo salsa. Chicken livers were
Every year my daughter chooses to eat at Café Del Sol on her birthday it's her favourite Italian Restaurant. She is a teenager and loves Italian, personally I won’t choose this place cos I am not a fan. Their dishes are average yes but
Very disappointed at the poor management skills @Gugu Mhlangu and her team you let the brand down

My experience was terrible. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Yesterday a friend and I went there for lunch, we were the first customers. An hour later and our food did not arrive and our waiter was no where to be
One of our favourite places. Amazing food, as usual; sophisticated decor and atmosphere; but the best is the service: the smile, the attention. Everyone cares about the customers. That's why we keep going back …
I had lunch at Café del Sol on Thursday, 28 Oct 2021 with two friends. At three of us had three courses. Every bite was a delight and the service bright!!! I have to mention the pork belly that was so scrumptious. Thank you!!!
Ok yes! The Lamb rack with risotto.doesn't just look good on pictures only. It was flippin delicious . Infact, every item we had from starters to dessert was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Great food. Great service. Wide menu of mainly Italian dishes. Their pasta and meat dishes are great. Nice outdoor seating. Good vibe overall. Make a booking so that you are not disappointed. This place is popular!
Wonderful meal and great service! The lamb risotto was amazing! And the berry pavlova dessert was divine! Top it off with a great wine list and some nice moscato! Wonderful culinary experience - highly recommended!
My favorite restaurant in Bryanston. Plus the landmark bar on the side, a perfect way to turn up right after a great dinner with my partner. Shout out to Donna and the team for this great space, food and service
Really pleasant evening spent at Cafe del Sol Botanico. The waiter was amazing and knew his stuff, the food was super tasty and the cocktails pack a punch

Cafe Del Sol Botanic did the catering for Gauteng Opera's Showcase. Wow! The eats were fantastic and plentiful. An antepasta platter that used only the finest Italian ingredients and was exceptionally generous.
Really mixed feelings. It's a great restaurant. The setting is lovely. The food was good but really overpriced for what you got. Service was lackluster and slow. Don't regret going...but not likely to return.
From the time I made the reservation to the service from the staff on the evening - our table of 10 was served most professionally. The food itself was fantastic!! Honestly, it's a 10 out of 10 from me.
We were specifically at The Landmark. The drinks and service was awesome. They should play more hip and happening music. Overall great experience. It wasnt my first time there nor will It be my last...
Really great food. Quite pricey (expect to pay at least R200 for a main meal), but the quality of the food is really high. Extremely tasty. The atmosphere is also very nice, very cool aesthetics.
Amazing food and very good service the only reason I didnt give them five stars was because our waiter didn't offer any beverages as he seated us. But otherwise Fantastic restaurant and food!!!
Great bar with professional staff. Food is delicious, great selection of dishes and friendly service. It's very busy, which is good and therefore you can have a great evening with friends.
Took her here to ask her to be my girlfriend. Perfect date night spot, i love how easy their booking system is and they will go their way to meet your needs. Thank you to the amazing staff
One of the best eateries around town, the food quality & taste is just out of this world. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an intimate connection with food

An outstanding experience. I was visiting from the Cape and didn't think I would find better pasta in Johannesburg. I had fresh pasta in a delicious tomato sauce. Lovely ambiance too.
Great food.Chorizo & prawn risotto is the best.
