Picture it... A beautiful sunlit day, surrounded by great company, eating delicious food - with HORRIBLE service; that's Café du Parc. We all started out ordering drinks and appetizers, only to have to literally beg for water. I had the caesar salad and the Moscow mule. The salad was quite tasty, and even though I hate when the restaurant brings a salad with uncapped anchovies - I enjoyed it, work and all. The others in my party enjoyed the French onion soup - which was quite rich; and the crab cake, that was surprisingly full of crab and not too much filler. The entree’s were quite tasty as well. I got the burger and fries. This is definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in DC. I added the peppered bacon to really make it pop. There was another burger and a turkey club at the table. The club was probably the most impressive dish there - the bread was perfectly toasted and the smoked turkey was moist and tasty. The food being well prepared is where all things positive about my visit to Café du Parc - END. The staff is inattentive, and borderline incompetent. Having to ask for water, straws, or our waiter multiple times is really beneath what a restaurant at the Willard Hotel should be offering. I also count not help but notice the way that the waitstaff literally ran around and coordinated to keep the tables for the white patrons clean and clear of empty cups and plates, and how my friends and I ate an entire meal without anyone ever even asking if we were done or needed anything else. In short the food here was great, but as a Black man - I can’t in good conscience go back here.

I was very happy to have attended this weekend High Tea ...something I gave been interested in for awhile.. We were already booked the Willard Hotel..so the friendly staff at the Cafe du Parc reserved a place for me and my boyfriend..the ambience of the hotel easily lends itself to an affair such as this..the menu allowed you to choose the type and flavor of tea..an extensive collection..I chose the Lady Grey Blue and Caesar chose the Japanese Green tea..They offered little sandwiches with lobster, Chicken pate, Turkey and Cucumber....Two different flavours of scones with accompanying jellies..and Devonshire cream and lemon curd.. then for the sweets..some chocolate bites, raspberry cookies and jelly roll type swirl..Excellent.Would like to give a round of applause to the following ...Deepak Humagain Sanchez,Christina Harris,Saffe and their hard working and creative staff..almost forgot one could also enjoy a glass of champagne.. Bravo..I would also like to acknowledge the lady who provided background music from her harp..very appropriate..After being away for two years..we came back for a visit..we ate lunch in the Crystal Ball Room .as a pipe had broken in Cafe du Parcs usual seating area..due to the Winter storm..December 2022..We ordered the chicken breast on mashed potatoes with french styled green beans and sparkling water..Our server was J.P..a very personable and professional being..Quick and efficient service.the food was as we remembered..delicious..the decor..rich and seasonable..

We went to have dinner at this cafe. It is a French cafe so they serve French cuisine. For the most part the food was good. The Escargot Bourgogne, Assorted Artisanal bread, Beef Bourguignon, and the Crème Brûlée was good. My Stew, I forgot the name, which is basically a seafood stew was something I didn’t enjoy. It was bland . I had to put quite a bit of salt and pepper for flavor. We also ordered the Steak Frites, which is a NY strip steak. My husband and I didn’t like it as much. It was a bit chewy and dry. There was some peppercorn gravy on it, but the gravy wasn’t that flavorful too. But, I love love the crab cakes. I don’t think it’s bad, I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought. It’s the first time i’ve tried French cuisine and I refuse to think that their food has no flavor. I am very much going to try it again. This is a good place to come if you like French food, or simply want to try something different. The location is great. You can dine inside or Al Fresco. Parking is a bit limited, so there were 4 of us, and we just took an Uber. This place can be a good place for dates. It’s casual to semi-formal dining. If you plan to come dine, be aware that this place is a bit pricey.

We had a nice anniversary meal on a recent Friday night. The cocktails were great, appy of roasted beet salad was ok, not very roasted, a little light on the goat cheese, but still interesting. Our entrees were the Beef Bourguignon and the Wild Boar. The bourguignon was standard good, not overly rich, done for a broad, touristy audience, but good. The wild boar was a very flavorful, but a little fatty, enjoyable none the less. The portion was a little more generous for the Wild Boar, and it’s accompanying vegetables. Dessert was a mixed bag, we ordered the tart which was very bland and we received a complementary cupcake for our anniversary, which was a nice touch, and meant they read the note section of my online reservation. The cupcake was too dense, and the icing too firm, everything was too crumbly to enjoy. The service was good, not the greatest, but not bad. Recognizing that it’s tough to find & keep good help, I think with some gentle coaching the staff we encountered once seated, could be great. They were definitely pleasant. All in all a good meal, not a bad value and a nice holiday environment at the Willard. If a 4.5 were available that would be my grade, the added ding would be the parking in and around the hotel, was challenging.

Tonight’s dining adventure takes us to Washington DC for French Cuisine… Absolutely incredible fine dining experience! What the chef did with the pot belly should be illegal, O…M…G! And the beef? Where do I even begin? And lest we not forget the desser. You’d have to literally go to France to get a better Macaron. And while my server was a little intimidated when I showed him the best cappuccino ever made, made by my friend Mario Gjonaj, they did a nice job (he had the head server make it ). Wow is all I can say. I’ll definitely be back here the next time I’m in DC The restaurant: Cafe du Parc Started with a glass of Côté Mas Rosé Cremant de Limoux: cranberry, citrus, honeysuckle, peach. Here’s how the rest of the meal unfolds… Assorted Artisanal Bread: Selection of French Baked Bread. Berkshire Pork Belly: Sprout, Smoked Bacon, Soy Honey Glaze, Yuzu, Aïoli, Espelette Pepper. Beef, Bourguignon: Red Wine, Braised, Short Rib, Pearl Onion, Mushrooms, Lardon, Fingerling, Potato. Accompanying the Boutguignon, a glass of Willa Kenzie Estate Pinot Noir… Strawberry Hibiscus Macaron: Vanilla Ganache Cream, Strawberry Jelly, Raspberry Sorbet. Finished with my signature cappuccino… — eating dinner at Cafe Du Parc.

One of the greatest dining experiences ever! Our server, Lil, made our night! He was super kind, gave great recommendations, always made sure our glasses were full, was funny, and really took our experience to another level. We had one person in our party with a gluten allergy, and Lil made it so that even the dishes that had sauces that had wheat in them, that they’d be served on the side instead. He went through each item on the menu and told us what could be done gluten friendly, and what could not be changed. The food was delicious also! We had the mussels, pork belly, crab cake, and escargot as starters. The food came out super quick and tasted delicious! The pork belly was super tender, cooked to perfection, and the sauce that it came with was ON POINT! I had the beef bourguignon for my entree, and it was immaculate! The beef was so tender it like melted in my mouth! Delicious, and fantastic service!

Cafe du Parc, located in the Willard InteeContinental Hotel, just a hop across the street from The White House, was an excellent place to eat during a recent stay I've eaten at my fair share of hotel restaurants. The food is mostly the same, especially breakfast, and Cafe du Parc was a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh and tasty! The staff were all friendly and helpful. I was so impressed by breakfast the first morning I made a point to return for dinner, and was not disappointed! The avocado toast was delicious with a perfectly poached egg on top (not an easy task). The assortment of pastries was also excellent. For dinner I had the Filet. The steak was cooked perfectly to order and the Bernaise sauce was amazing. The gratin potatoes and broccolini were also spot-on. The meal was wrapped up with a SPECTACULAR Peach with Red Currant Mousse! As an added bonus, eating these meals on the terrace with an awesome view and atmosphere, mere steps from The White House. This is the first hotel restaurant in my life I would gladly return to even if not staying at The Willard.

We stayed at a hotel nearby and stopped in for dinner. Service was nice, food was good and we liked it enough to come back for breakfast the next day. Breakfast was not nearly as good and did not offer a kid's menu (dinner service offers a kid's menu). Server was rude about it and I ended up going downstairs to the coffee shop and getting muffins and bananas instead of paying $20 for waffles for 5 year olds. Our cousins showed up a couple days later and we decided to take them back there for dinner since that had been a good experience. Dinner was terrible! Our steak was tough this time, the tofu was a soggy mess, the bread appetizer was so hard we couldn't chew it, and they charged us full price for 1 soda refill. They did not charge us for refills at either of our 2 previous visits and when I mentioned it to our server, he said that's the rules. They charged us autogratuity for 5 adults and a child. If we weren't trying to get to a tour on time, we would've argued for less of a tip after the terrible food and not great service. Bummer we had 1 nice experience and 2 terrible ones. For the prices they charge, it isn't worth it by any means.

Service was fast and very friendly. Food was a little underwhelming. I ordered the French onion soup to start. It was very tasty but EXTREMELY hot. By the time my main course came (Muscovy Duck Breast) it was still very, very hot and difficult to eat. The duck was underwhelming. The actual duck breast wasn't seasoned very well. There was very little sauce which would have been fine had it had a more present flavor to it. The vegetables were the best part. Absolutely delicious, especially the poached figs. Finally I ordered the creme brulee. It was good, but it wasn't very "brulee-d" on the top. Overall very soft, without that classic crust. It was more spotty, with uneven texture on top. But the flavor itself was still quite good.

Decided to eat dinner at Cafe du Parc before viewing the National Tree. While at the Willard, we were treated to Christmas carols being sung by an acapella group in the lobby and beautiful Christmas decorations. We took a small 'lift' up to the second floor restaurant and enjoyed our dinner of burgers and fries. The burger was seasoned and cooked well, served with all the trimmings including garlic aioli and crispy fried onions on a bun that held up well with the burger. The fries were delivered hot but quickly cooled. Which to eat first? Fries or burger?! Coke products and alcoholic beverages are served. The pastry display downstairs included a melted snowman and santa hats. Very tempting! But too full from dinner. Pricing was a bit high but the burger was worth it! Server was ok, but never asked if we wanted drink refills.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. This is a very nice French cafe that will remind you of an outdoor cafe in France. We had planned to sit outside for breakfast but unfortunately it was raining when we arrived. We sat upstairs and my wife had the Belgian waffles which were excellent and I had the three egg omelette and it was really good. The server was great and made sure our coffee was always topped off. We wanted to have some pastries downstairs on our way out, but we were too full to do that. Looking forward to stopping in the next time we are in the area. Neither of us had a single complaint about this place, it was great.

The food was delicious and you have to try the strawberry hibiscus vanilla macaron. We happened to be there on graduation weekend by accident and they were very busy. We were at a table with an umbrella on the opposite side from the sun, so it provided us no shade and we could not get anyone to help us switch the orientation. It was very bright and hot and made enjoying the atmosphere extremely difficult. We tried not to let this or the server who used an attitude with us for no apparent reason ruin our overall experience. It is probably much better to go here on a day that is not over graduation weekend, but I do recommend it. I'm definitely going back another time and may update my review after that visit.

The food was quite nice, but the service let them down. I ordered eggs, Benedict, an orange juice, and a cappuccino for breakfast. The eggs Benedict came quite quickly, and was rather nice. However, when they put the coffee on the table I didn’t notice there was no spoon. I like my coffee, sweet, but I had nothing to stir it in with. I had to get up from the table and find a waiter to get me a spoon because nobody came back to ask me if everything was well. I also had to ask for the orange juice that I ordered because they didn’t bring it. How they messed up on the two most simple parts of my three part breakfast order I will never know. Not even McDonald’s make that mistake.

The food was phenomenal, the drinks were lovely, and the crème brûlée was absolutely divine! The wild boar: Was loaded with flavor and didn’t have any gamey or overly fatty taste. It was absolutely delectable for lunch time! Beef bourguignon: Was so delicious! It was sweet, savory, and rich! It was super tender and pulled apart! The potatoes and onions that came with it were phenomenal! I wish I had ordered a second serving! Lobster bisque: Tasted like the literal essence of lobster! It was so good for lack of a better term! Phenomenal I say! The creme brûlée: Was absolutely phenomenal, it was sweet without being too sweet! The crust was super sweet and cracked at the pressure of the spoon! This was truly a sumptuous desert! Best creme brûlée in DC!

We can only speak to the grab and go. The pastries are delicious and high-end. The macaron is worth every penny and calorie! The almond croissant was good, and the spinach feta was great, but could have been warmed. The machine was rejecting everyone's credit card, so that was annoying, but overall I can't complain. I would go back for the macaron alone!!!

A great place to stop and eat. Went two days in a raw. First day I had Cesar salad with grilled shrimp with the zero proof mandarin drink. The salad was good and lite. The was delicious and refreshing. The next day I had the PEI Mussels with fries and green salad, I washed it down with another mandarin drink from the day before. The dish was awesome and the drink is definitely a must. To top it off, we had very intuitive waitress named Thai (tie), she was the best waitress I’ve encountered in a long time. She was awesome, a true hospitality worker , and a people person, thank you so much Ma’am!

Having seen this Cafe from our Washington bus tour we decided to have lunch here. We sat outside under the shade of the trees and parasol to allow us to people watch while dinning. I had the mussels while my wife had the card cakes with a couple of glasses of wine and Champagne. The service was perfect and the options we choose for lunch were 5/5. The crab cakes are actually all crab and not just a bit of crab bulked out with potato or similar. From what I could see the other fish dishes being eaten by others were equally impressive.

I went to this Café for breakfast. I chose this one because from online information I got the impression it was chic, a special place to be… well, I got disappointed. Location: Location is well placed in the city centre, near to sightseeing places, public transportation, etc. Interior: it’s ok, but nothing fancy, special, chic. The kitchen is half open, so you can see part of the dishes are already prepared, gave me the feeling of eating at a canteen. Service: service was fine, I mean usual US service, fast, friendly, but nothing more. The overall atmosphere was hectic. Not a nice way to start your day. Quality: food quality was ok, but that’s it.

If I had to pick one type of restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life it would be the proverbial French Bistro. I have been to scores of them all over. This one was very disappointing given the prices. Not a great wine selection. My onion soup was cold, watery, and the cheese was barely melted.... Not crusty on top. Both our entrées were so so. The ambiance wasn't good either. Very bright, poor tables and chairs, and not warm or inviting. I made the comment to my wife that this place felt like a typical US diner that serves some mediocre French Bistro fare at high prices.

Was walking from downtown, to the monuments on a Saturday afternoon. No place was open for coffee, but we came across this boujie little spot. They have a great selection of coffee and pastries, but you are going to be paying a lot. $18 for 2 lattes. Not worth the price, but DC prices. Favorite part was sitting outside on the steps and doing some good ole fashion people watching. I’d go here if you don’t care to break the bank and want to people watch as you sip your coffee.

Place is definitely overpriced for the food quality. I ordered duck breast, meat was ok cooked but the outside fat layer was not rendered and thus gummy. Bread basked was $6, I was expecting artisanal bread that would pair well with some french butter, but the bread seemed something you can pick up from Wholefoods, which is ok, but should have been complimentary. Staff was good and the place atmosphere was nice. Of my visit in Washington this is probably the one thing I want to forget, especially consider the final bill

The hostess was unwelcoming, and audibly sighed when we asked to join for dinner. We were taken upstairs to a dim-lit dining room that was somewhat confined. To give insight on the lighting - our shadows were cast on the menu. Our server was alright, but made no effort to interact with us beyond taking our order, as he did for other customers. Surprisingly, our bill was handed to us while we were still eating. We ordered the Onion soup and Willard burger. The food was average. We likely wouldn’t go back or recommend this to others.

I took a guest for lunch here and give it two stars rather than one as my guest liked her meal. On the other hand mine was dreadful. I had the Caesar salad and the basket of assorted breads. Simple enough. The croutons were damp and chewy. I had asked for it without the anchovies but there they were. The dressing was very thick and creamy. And the assorted breads really weren't that assorted, but all were completely stale. I mentioned this as we were leaving so maybe they will do better next time. One expects better at the Willard.

It’s nice and food is good. We made an OpenTable lunch reservation and they sat us between the elevator and the bathroom. There were many open tables in the main dining area. It sucked as far as atmosphere for a $300 lunch and my advice is to deny being sat in this area of other tables are open. The hostess was vey unfriendly (complete smirk on entering and never seemed accommodating in spite of us having reservations and it being slow) in her demeanor. The server was absolutely on point.

Excellent vibe with lovely outdoor seating. Food was excellent. We had lunch: Crab roll, Niçoise salad were both very good. The table next to us devoured their chicken entree and mussels. Our capucchino and macchiato were also very good. Our server was excellent. I was initially hesitant to try at a ‘hotel’ restaurant, but was absolutely impressed. Moreover, I think the other google reviewers have done this restaurant a disfavor, hence I wanted to provide this positive review.

Horrendous service. The entree was served as we finished the starter. I then had to ask for the starter plates to be cleared and for new cutlery. I had to ask for the main plates to be cleared after the server had come to offer more drinks. Then I needed to ask for the menu for the dessert. Food was advertised as a whole Branzino but served as 1 fillet with a tail. Starters were good. Dessert was good. Gorgeous spot for a drink with a nice outlook though

We really enjoyed our Salmon Salad here last night. The salmon was cooked exactly as we ordered it. All the staff are very pleasant & attentive. Dining outdoors was lovely. Thanks so much. Rath, our pleasant server, gave us wonderful suggestions and although he was very busy he checked on us often. We will be back and without a doubt we will always recommend you to others Cafe du Parc. Thanks so much.

A great place for a date night! Or a girls day out! My friends and I sat outside on the patio and experience lovely weather, amazing and patient host and delicious dessert. From the look of the menu entrées and appetizers are reasonably price. However, you feel like you’re having a five-star meal. This place is definitely worth the trip!! My friend had the chocolate mousse and I had the apricot tart with vanilla ice cream. They were both absolutely delicious! **my video will not upload

A fantastic casual dining experience for the location. I've been here several times and there's a very short wait, the service is excellent, and the food delicious. I recommend the upstairs dining. There's an elevator but you need to ask. It is not formal or pompous, and can be a good place to take clients. It is one of my new go-to no-fail restaurants. The speaker music can be too loud. Great location and food. But service could be much better. Waiter brought our food and then never asked us whether we need anything else until payment. Gave us an individual sized bottle of mayo that has been used by someone else (you have to dig into it with your knife and someone already did). Girl at the door served us better than the waiter. Had to ask her for new condiments, additional silverware etc. Lack of care or lack of training?

The dessert was one of the best I ever had. I am not a dessert person but this thing was super delicious. The fries with burger were delicious as well. It's been long that I had such delicious and crispy fries. The ambience and staff were good as well. I had soup but it was not hot! And the impossible burger was fine. Given the price and mediocre experience with soup and burger I will probably only go next time for the dessert.

Environment was impressive. It felt like a five star. The waiter was nice and service was quick. The food and drinks were delivered with in 10 min of ordering. The waiter did not bring waiter's or checks unless we asked. After he dropped off food, he never came back to check on us. On fact, he never introduced himself. His name was Bhim. We got a few pastries and latte in the cafe and everything tasted good. There was a wait time to eat dinner at the restaurant so we had to order in room service. The service at the cafe was good and there was plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy the pastries we got.

Mi hijo invited his friend, Ano, to lunch, who I was really looking forward to meet. We were tight on time, so we stayed in the hotel, and I’m glad we did! It was a great menu! I had a delicious Salad Nicoise and mi hijo had the Salad Lyonnaise, which made him feel all grown up! The service was as great as the food!

Food was excellent! Service was good, but one issue. I ordered the chef's special which was described at Smoked Snapper, but was brought a mixture of seafood. No one mentioned that they were out of the Snapper, just brought me a different meal. Granted the catch of the day was delicious, but would have been nice to be asked. God forbid if I was allergic or something.

A ham and cheese sandwich always seems to taste better when it's called Croque Monsieur. This one is particularly good and wonderfully messy with the melted Gruyere cheese oozing out over the French ham. There's also a really good cafe downstairs that's a great place for coffee and a pastry.

Great experience. Good setting with good food. Service was good and we were able to enjoy our food. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the fries that went with them were also great. On top off that it was reasonably priced which was great. The sorbet portions were very generous indeed.

Breakfast rated as first on our 10 day trip with our granddaughter. She loved the waffle, said it was the best ever. Eggs Benedict were great. Also enjoyed dinner on the patio.

Was rudely turned away for not being a hotel guest. There were like 3 people dining and a dozen empty tables. Maybe don’t advertise your restaurant if you don’t want people coming? Couple great alternatives close by, opt for those instead.

I popped in for a chia tea latte and chocolate croissant before a meeting. The service was fantastic and the food was perfect. Brought me back to life! They make a real good latte and the croissant was flacky and delicious. My only regret is not stopping by after my meeting to re-up.

We had brunch here. My husband had the short rib, and I had the French toast. Both were delicious. We had reservations, but probably did not need them since we got there right as they opened brunch. It is a lovely spot and had great views.

This restaurant made me forget IHOP exist. I was not expecting the pancakes to be that good. Everyone who cooks he deserves a raise absolutely fantastic! The waiter was like the most kind water I've ever met. Such a great place for breakfast. I'll come by more often.

We are only eating at the Café du Park for breakfast. I must say it was very lame. The potatoes were lukewarm. The broiled tomato had been sitting around and the coffee was incredibly expensive. All in all a poor value. It is quick, though.

We had the butternut squash soup and escargot to start and the beef bourguignon and the braised lamb shank for mains. We had crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was great except the lamb was dry and under seasoned. We had 5 drinks and our total was 200 before tip.

The cutest little French pastry shop! Delicious coffee! Right next to the White House and across from the WWI memorial. After seeing all the memorials and important buildings this is the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy elegant desserts! The peach pastry I ate was amazing and the coffee superb!

I came here for lunch yesterday and it was awesome. Both waiter and the chef really made the experience great. I had to do some things on my computer and they allowed me to sit in a quiet area. The crab soup was phenomenal. Thanks to all the staff on Saturday March 6th. Keep up serving the DC area.

Good drinks! Specially their old fashioned(look at the picture I posted! I got the one with Rye) we didn't eat dinner but just some drinks and snacks, they don't have many vegetarian options, their mushrooms are good and mixed vegetables are not so good. Good ambiance! Can be tried.

Beautiful little authentic French brasserie! Perfect for a date or a group outing. Visited for restaurant week, delicious crab cake! Their beef bourguignon is very good! Several desserts all well done, would definitely go back!

Great brunch option. Prices are high, but in line with the area. The food was good, though service could get a bit slow. The creme brulee took it over the top to 5 stars though. Delicious and highly recommended.

We went in for the breakfast buffet while staying at The Willard. Staff was polite and professional. Food was delicious. My breakfast companion has knee problems and couldn’t climb the stairs so they brought him up in their elevator. He got a kick out of that.

The best restaurant is D.C. We had Dijon mustard - herb marinated grill chicken. My girlfriend had grill skin on salmon filet. The service was excellent. Then I ordered a Mediterranean platter. The waiter were excellent. Our waiter Deepah was excellent.

Great breakfast! We loved the eggs Benedict and avocado toast. We also liked dinner. We tried the salmon, which was okay, but nothing special, and the baked chicken breast, which was delicious and came with amazing mashed potatoes.

Located right next to the treasury, but nice and quiet. Our waiter (name escapes me) was very good, and running around very busy but managed to keep checking on us. The food was amazing, definitely stop by. We went for breakfast.

Second time traveling to D.C. and third time coming to this restaurant. My mom and I enjoyed their onion soup (it’s delicious) and apricot tart. Recommend this restaurant. Customer service was excellent both times.

Unfortunately very poor customer service. After giving us the wrong order, they followed up with a very slow attitude to correct it. They appeared to be inconvenienced by us following their mistake. More

At the Willard Hotel but lacks the sophistication for it. The onion soup was lukewarm and with little onions. Ordered the crab cake and it had a hair underneath it. The dessert was the best item i ate.
