Arrived at this cafe for brunch with my wife and two children, asked the female waiter if I could sit at a vacant table outside, She rolled her eyes at us. Male waiter took our order we waited for 35 minutes only to notice that people who arrived after us received there meals. I asked about the progress of our meal from the female waiter that had rolled her eyes at us and she said she would find out and let us know, she disappeared and never came back. 10 minutes later I asked another waiter, she said the order would be out in 4 minutes. Waited another 10 minutes and still no meal. Asked another waiter who was rude to us. I approached the manager and asked only to be told that they had lost our order with no record. No Apologies given zero care. Got up and left after 1 hour of waiting. Absolute waste of time would not recommend this place to anyone. I would give them a zero rating if I could.

here in Sydney for a work function and I was really excited to come to this place after being referred to as the 'place to go' by my uber driver. I arrived and was seated by a lovely polite waitress who actually seemed to be on the ball! Her attitude was great and things were looking up! Well... Let's just say 40 minutes passed by and not one acknowledgement was made after numerous waiters walked by. I normally wouldn't let it get to me, but I had a work function to attend, was now running late, literally ruined my entire mood for the day and was forced to eat my eggs Benedict from a takeaway tray as no refund was even offered. Very unprofessional, and extremely dissatisfied. Great coffee though, but unfortunately that experience will take me to another cafe for my time here in Sydney. Shame

Attended mid afternoon - non busy time . It was freezing, but the waiter turned patron heater off and would not put it on Ordered an open grill sandwich. Arrived/ served cold. Chucked was cooked, but clearly sat under warmer for lengthy time. My partner ordered a wrap, good temp, but egg and bacon was over cooked. Bacon almost burnt to a crisp Waitress didn’t check back and basically forgot us until our order was up. Service was friendly, just didn’t seen yo card too much Prices were too expensive for what we were served Should be really 2 and 1/2 stars. Menu should be simplified to increase efficiency and decrease confusion I’ve had coffee at the location. Not good in that area Hit chocolate is great!

Good cafe and best in the area. Always busy but service it usually quick. Coffee is good compared to what's around, food is good. I had the shashuka and the eggs were overcooked but I've rarely had a shashuka cooked right. Good value for money.

If i could give no stars i would have. Feel sorry for the owner. Poor staff and management. Took my kids there during school holidays for lunch and would never go back again. Waited 5mins to be seated, then was just given menus which were basically thrown in the middle of table. No acknowledgement at all. No water given or even to ask if we wanted to start with anything. 15 mins went past and still nothing, meanwhile 4 staff behind the coffee area just chatting away, floor staff not recognizing that we have been there for 15mins either. We just walked out and still they had no idea. Absolutely useless!

My partner and I have been dining here for breakfast most weekends for several months now and this place is hands down the best we’ve experienced in the shire. We live at Miranda and travel to Menai purely for this cafe, we’ve tried all the cafe’s inside Westfield and none of their eggs Benedict or iced coffee even come close. Good sized, reasonably priced, fast, great service and absolutely delicious. Can’t see a reason to stop coming.

Don't waste your time better cafes in the Shire. We were seated, given menus. Other people seated after us were served straight away. We waited 10 minutes for a waitress (note was not busy, hardly any customers). Waitress arrived and walked straight past us to another table where a customer had just seated himself and served him. I waived at waitress who completely ignored me and walked past. We waited patiently for another 10 minutes then got up and found a fantastic cafe at Sutherland. The waitress needs a new job totally hopeless and not a good look for the cafe.

Really not too impressed, came here twice hoping the first time was a one off but food sits waiting to get taken to the tables, both times had a cold breakfast and the side of mushrooms I had ordered came 10 minutes after it had gotten put up to be brought to the table, when it got brought to me I noticed they were microwaved, coffee was alright but that's all I can say unfortunately, all in all not to impressed with the food.

Always freshly prepared and well presented food. The service is quick and efficient thanks to their tablet POS system, my coffee always arrives minutes after ordering (even with several take away orders lined up) and the food is never too far behind. Inside is cleanly set and the atmosphere is warm and pleasant, as the murmur of other tables still allows you to speak to your own table without trouble, thanks to the acoustic tiles/reflectors on the roof. A well thought out design with impeccable food, I can't help but return week after week.

Professional, highly responsive, friendly service. Extensive menu, particularly specials, yet pricing rich. Portion size large. Meal produced very promptly. I ordered a club sandwich with chips but delivered something completely different. Menu description needs changing. Given a milkshake size glass of water which was great, yet delivered with a plastic straw. Hey guys, straws are out. A big No as really bad for the environment. Strongly recommend you get rid of these. Overall a good place for a coffee and bit to eat. Would return.

Cafe Vostro is the most pathetic cafe I’ve been to. Staff didn’t greet us at the door, we were just directed to a table and asked what we wanted (with no menu). I ordered green tea and got Jasmine tea instead with no explanation or apology. My favourite part was when the kitchen staff just casually rolled an overflowing dumpster through the dining area. Once we finished, the rude bloke behind the counter didn’t ask if we enjoyed our meal or any of the usual inquiries, he just asked for the money. Definitely will not be back.

We called ahead on a Saturday morning for 2x bacon and egg rolls. We arrived 5 minutes later and paid for the items that we ordered and were informed that it was still being prepared. We stood out the front and had to wait for a further 20 minutes until it was ready. The 25 minute wait for a simple takeaway order is too long, we won't be back.

Staff were rude, rushed and aggressive. The wrong order was brought out. Food was disappointing , drinks were ordered after our food. Waited 10 minutes for a hot chocolate, they had forgotten about it so I had to ask yet again for my order. Management was nice but staff provided terrible customers service. The older Asian gentlemen was lovely as well as the older Italian woman. The other staff need to be retrained. Will not be coming here again. A first and last for me.

I paid $13 for a SMALL flat white and a thin slice of stale banana and blueberry bread- only managed a few bites. I decided to try this place because, for some reason, the reviews are good. Customer service was the only positive. Painfully overpriced, my wallet and taste buds regret the visit. Won’t return.

The menu is modern Australian. They have wraps, salad and burgers for lunch. They have sweet and savoury options for breakfast like pancakes, acai berry bowls, and bacon and eggs with various configurations of a greasy fry up. The service was quick and polite. The meals were slightly more expensive than I would expect, i.e. the big breakfast is $22. However, the food is fresh and delivered quickly so that's nice.

The best feature was the friendly staff and quick service. The meal servings were twice as big as I would normally expect from a cafe, but half the quality. The mushroom toast had A LOT of mushies but they were overcooked and not sure where was the truffle oil was. The fitters were very thick- I personally prefer a more delicate meal with more flavour. The price was fair and coffee reasonable (a little weak).

Nice place, great food, good service ... what more could you ask for? Will definately return here.

The price for an açai bowl $21 is pretty expensive so I assumed it would be a pretty decent size and very yummy packed with a good amount of fruits and granola. The total opposite, watery/ icy , was not tasty at all, lacking fruits and presentation . It ended up in the bin what a rip!

Cafe Vostro is a very popular cafe at Menai Market Place . The atmosphere is pleasant with some outside tables, these being under cover and heated in cool weather. The food is modern and excellent ranging from wraps and toasties to full meals. A good range of gluten free and paleo food is available. Staff are efficient and friendly and prices are average.

Excellent Caffè with friendly staff and decent Coffee. Vostro is almost always busy and this is a great indicator of the service they offer. The prices are reasonable and servings are generous. They have a great gluten free range as well as catering to most other dietary requirements. If you haven't been before I would highly recomend checking it out!

We attended today to have lunch with my family only to come home with 2 little girls vomiting up their ham and cheese toasties they had for lunch from there that afternoon. Defiantly not a good experience or worth the wait to be served our food. Would like to think the ham is kept and stored correctly and not kept out and serving contaminated ham.

Vostro has a great atmosphere (can get a little bit loud), service is great and friendly and the good is delicious. They have a big breakfast menu with lots of options including healthy options like Museli and yoghurt. Defintely recommend for a nice breakfast or brunch and also they have waraps and toasties and salads for lunch. Very nice!

Food decent. Staff friendly. But vetoing split bills on a two-person meal? I'm a social services provider, I was there with my client. My industry has v strict rules around gifts, meal shouting etc. My explanation met with talk-to-the-hand. No-split-bills understandable on a table of twelve. But two people? That's just churlish.

Came in to this cafe this morning to buy scrambled eggs and half avocado (no toast). The guy behind the register wanted to charge me $28.50. I had to triple check and make sure he is charging me correctly.. I mean, come on!!! Really?! That’s just beyond ridiculous!! Never coming back here again! Outrageous!!! OVERPRICED!!!

We came for a Saturday morning coffee and chat with friends. The place was crowded, probably due to the good quality of the food and drinks. However conversation was very difficult due to the traffic noise (it borders the car park) and the echoes off the tiled floors. We will probably pick somewhere quieter next time.

Went for Lunch on Sunday with my partner, the cafe was very busy. We were seated outside as there were no tables available inside. We were served quickly and had great coffees, a delicious big breakfast and amazing eggs shahuka. Both our breakfasts were fresh and generous!! Definitely, our favorite local cafe.

1 star for food only, absolutely rude cashier person forcing me to pay for sausages that I didn't eat ! And $9 for 2 sausages is rediculas and it was horrible sausages ! Monday morning, not very busy. Waited over half an hour for cold poached eggs almost charcoaled bacon and my sons French toast sat on the bench waiting to be served for over 10 minutes whilst the waitresses walked past it. Weak coffees - Nescafé would have been better. Never going there again

Unfortunately the food isn’t what it used to be and just recently they decided to stop letting customers split bills. I believe the cafe changed hands recently and the new owners are no longer producing a service that is worth my money. Time to find a new local.

The service was wonderful friendly staff and delicious food. My choice for lunch was french toasr served with banana, raisins and crushed pistachio drizzled with honey and topped with marscapone and strawberries. I will be back again next time I am in Menai.

I went there with a friend and we ordered the waffles. We paid $14.50 each and we both thought the waffle was going to be pretty big for the price but instead we got 1 palm sized waffle, a teaspoon of nutella and 2 strawberries with some cream. What a joke.

Dined in for breakfast. The staff were clearly run off their feet as they did not offer table water, mixed up our coffees and we then waited over an hour for our meals.

The coffee here is a unique experience, unique in the way that this is probably the worst coffee I've experienced in ages; it's a sad bit of brew infused with the tears of the coffee makers who produced this. Wouldn't recommend, really...

Absolutely love coming to Vostro. The coffee is amazing and we always get well looked after by the staff. The service is on point and the food is delicious! A great atmosphere and easy to stop in when I’m doing my shopping

This place is over rated. Coffee is drinkable but nothing special. It's expensive, just paid $11.80 for one large and one small Coffee and a babycino that wasn't even full!! There are much better places to go around.

Do not offer snacks or small meals on the menu and will not allow adults to order kids meals. So if you just want some chips or wedges with your coffee, forget it. They don't give what the customer wants.

Absolutely the best cafe food in the Shire hands down. Back open for dinner Thursday Friday Saturday. Try the eye fillet with mushroom sauce. Mmmm perfect cut, and top quality.
