The Calgary International Airport is a hub for air travel in Western Canada, offering convenient and efficient services for both domestic and international travelers. With modern facilities, easy-to-navigate infrastructure, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, the airport provides a smooth and stress-free experience for passengers. Parking at Calgary International Airport Parking at the airport is both convenient and affordable. The airport offers a variety of parking options, including long-term and short-term parking options, as well as off-site parking options. The long-term parking lot is located within walking distance of the terminal building and is equipped with state-of-the-art security features, including surveillance cameras and 24-hour security patrols. I had a bad experience dropping off my mother-in-law, wife and 1 year old around 1pm? in the afternoon International Westjet drop off zone. Dec 3 2023- No one else was around at this end of the airport, maybe one other car, but essentially there was no major traffic. My mother-in-law who recently got diagnosed with arthritis in her right hand wearing a brace, wife with 1 year old. Travel crib, car-seat 2 check ins and 2 carry-ons. I had to help them get inside the doors since they were having issues moving their luggage's and gear, it was cold out and didn't want to keep the baby in the cold. Went in and came out, to have a tow truck guy standing with some female airport attendant. Two 20 year olds- Tow truck guy started threatening me with a ticket (probably trying to impress his female friend) so I gave the same attitude he was giving me back asked him if he was a cop? I said I had to help me family inside for 1 minute (he didn't seem to care what I said). I said to design the airport for people dropping off people not some sort of parking-tow money grab system. A police officer 20- something then showed up on a fat bike as I was driving away. I'm sure they would have ticketed and towed me if the cop was there any sooner. They appeared to be real chummy with each other so I imagine they do this on a daily basis. Airport drop-off "authorities" (tow, attendant and police) seem super eager to tow people and charge you big money to get your car out of their hands I'm sure. Get some empathy and design the airport FOR people. Not like I am doing anything wrong with aiding my family. I'm sure you would be bullied with more police and authorities if one tries to push-back. If someone has mental health issues, I can see another Robert Dziekański moment happening. There is a reason why the City of Calgary does not have a Ctrain going to the airport-- agenda for money much like the airport drop-off tow. Get with the times, major cities around the world have transit to airports a long time ago. Expect problems dropping off your loved ones at the airport with airport authorities if things do not go seamlessly.

Leaving this review not because the airport itself but because of the rude, unprofessional police officers that were power tripping with the parking. Me and my husband were in the loading zone waiting for my 60 year old mother who was bringing us our dog who flew cargo. We were parked in the loading zone waiting for not even 2 minutes when this cop came up to us glaring, telling us we couldn’t wait here and had to either wait at the cell phone lot or drive in circles (even though my mom was lost and trying to find us) my husband dropped me off and I went to find my mother and dog. When I finally found them I took my dog (who was stressed obviously) to the relief station and told my mom to wait at one of the arrival points for my husband. When I returned I seen the same cop harassing my husband that apparently we weren’t in a proper loading zone even though there were multiple cars parked there prior he decided to not only give us a hard time but insult my mother by calling her pretty much stupid for not being in the proper area. Officer tried giving us a ticket but eventually let us leave. If he would’ve just allowed us to stay in the proper zone this would have been way less stressful then running around trying to find my husbands car. I’ve never been so disgusted with a police officer before. This happened Friday afternoon. You’d think after spending thousands to fly and dealing with airport stress is enough but no you have to put some power tripping cop there as well. I thank god my husband who’s in the military serving our country dealt with the matter professionally even after the cop insulted my mother. Calgary police DO BETTER!!

It started off so well but then went downhill faster than an Olympic bobsled. Customs was snarky but efficient, the last stop of handing over your declaration form was met by a lovely gentleman who welcomed us back to Canada but then as we made the long trek to our connecting gate we realized we had to go through security again. Ok no problem. Except there was a problem. My 77 year old mother who was in a wheelchair was searched just shy of a cavity search by a not nice at all woman who had no qualms about sticking her detecting wand anywhere she wanted… And somehow her (my moms) purse set off an alarm. She was touched all over her body, her purse fully examined and a questionnaire had to be filled out. She was made to feel like a criminal. She was humiliated. Did I mention that apparently you can’t bring salt over 300 ml’s in a carry on? This was news to all of us and I was threatened not to do it again, I had brought chili salt from Mexico and it all had to be bomb tested… Once we were through that we sat down at the Flames Grill and had an $80 snack of fried pickle and flat bread and 2 small glasses of wine… And lastly as we rolled to our final gate, my mom got sick and started to vomit. I ran into the closest little store and asked for a bag please right away. The lady proceeded to lecture me on why not to panic and spoke down to me while my 77 year old mom is crying and trying not to cover herself in her own fluids… I hope to never book a flight through Calgary again. The whole experience just felt rude and callous.

My son and I are traveling home from visiting Calgary. While here my son broke his shoulder and Scapula bone. I have a cognitive disability and my son usually helps me with everything. So in preparing for my travel I put down we need airport assistance. I was not given help even after asking for help, asking for a wheelchair and asking the volunteers for help. My son was helping me push the cart with all of our stuff, I had to carry everything else. We were told to go to the wrong check in counter which resulted in us missing our flights. When asking for help again with that situation and explaining I have trouble with things because of my disability I was told we had to figure it out, they couldn’t book flights at any counters for us, no one could seem to get me a wheel chair and we are currently sitting with all of our luggage because our new flight does not leave until till late now and they won’t let us check in for another hour. I explained I needed help and I was told that there are no exceptions. I have never had this kind of horrible service… I travel and fly pretty much 2 to 3 times a month right now and this is by far the worst airport experience I have ever had.

I had a short layover at Calgary International Airport while going to Vancouver from Nashville and back to Nashville from Vancouver. This is very clean and well-maintained facility. Though, we didn't use the golf cart shuttle inside the airport building, but it looked cool to have this facility. We also saw some incredible artworks hurriedly while changing the flights. There was long queue for the security check while going to Nashville from Vancouver at Calgary International airport. Vancouver to Calgary was a domestic flight and we had to go back for security check to board the flight to Nashville, as this was an international flight. We had only one hour and twenty minutes and we had to really rush to make it in time for our connecting flight to Nashville. It was easy to navigate in the airport and signage for directions was clear. We didn't receive our checked in baggage at Vancouver International Airport. The baggage could not be transferred from one flight to another at Calgary Airport. I am not sure, who is responsible for the transfer of baggage - airport staff or the airlines.

  • Seeing the world In a different way

Calgary international airport has all the features you would expect from one of Canada’s major airports. There are lots of places to eat, a duty free, money exchanges and lots of aircraft parked around the gates. I enjoyed looking at the view of downtown Calgary while waiting for my flight. They even have a private in airport tram that provides passengers a ride to save time and energy walking the long strips of the airport terminals. There is also staff wearing white cowboy hats and they are very happy to help. The problem is there are only a few of them and I couldn’t find them when I needed help. If there was something I would change is they should have map displays of the airport showing where special things are located, such as; money exchanges, the information desk and the airport lounges. I wasted a lot of time looking for the hotel bus shuttle phone and that frustration could have been mitigated with this airport map displayed on floor level. I enjoyed my brief time in Calgary and at YYC. If you like my reviews, photos or videos then giddy up and hop along to the like button

I found the accessibility staff were not very helpful. There was an 85 year old lady that had trouble withdrawing Canadian money. She was from Scotland and wanted to use Canadian money. The withdraw machines would give US dollars but not Canadian. She was mostly blind, and we helped her to an atm. After not finding any CAD to withdraw, I reached out to WestJet staff and then to an airport staff member with an electric wheelchair. I asked for her to help this lady. And for some reason she was super reluctant. As if an 85 year old with a push chair, that is slightly blind should be overlooked. I asked her to help this lady find currency exchange and then bring her back to her flight loading zone. I felt concerned and slightly outraged that the staff hired to help disabled, was not very helpful to those in need. I did wonder, I hope that lady made it to her flight. I did not trust the staff entirely, but had to stay on schedule with my flight loading time. This happened 3 weeks ago. And still upsets me. I really hope we can be more helpful and caring for those with mobility issues.

Airport staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Airport is clean and maintained. Airlines need to do better to not delay or strand passengers. Two flights messed up in as many trips. In January my connecting flight left early...and the flight I had been on was first delayed by weather...and then it took 25 minutes for the airport to hook up the exit ramp. Seems to me when you know there are passengers on an arriving flight that need a connecting flight...you hold the flight. Seriously. Fast forward to my return flight in March. The art installations are incredible. If my flight hadn't been delayed by 3.5 hours...and then cancelled 3 minutes prior to the rescheduled take-off time...I may not have noticed the art...but since I had some time to kill. I know. First world problems. However with a lack of other transportation options for domestic travel...the airlines and airports need to do better. No one wants to spend 12 hours plus in an airport...even one as nice as Calgary's.

Clean nice airport BUT They’re still requiring masks You’ll want to get dropped off at E terminal if you’re flying internationally. If you’re returning a rental car and flying internationally, you have about a 10-12 minute walk. Carts are freely available. The Security line was utter chaos. Completely disorganized and staff wasn’t the friendliest. They were very short and snippy with me when I simply asked if I needed to remove my laptop. You have to remove your shoes. TSA pre check doesn’t work here. And they do not provide foot covers. You might have luck with Nexus if you frequently fly between Canada and America. Half of the people in line were flagged for their bags to be checked but only on the right lane! Some of the reasons were inconsistent and ridiculous. Passengers were complaining that they’re seasoned travelers and they’ve never seen anything like this. There is U.S. Customs which is cool to skip a step after landing.

Nice enough airport with lots of shops and amenities. The shuttles running between concourses are a nice touch. Most areas are kept clean so that's nice. Caveat is watch your airport arrival time. I showed up today well before my domestic flight and reached the gate only 5 min before the gate closed. The most amusing part was seeing on the website that the security wait time was 15 min when I had already been in line for double that; I was lucky my gate was just behind the security area. I don't exactly blame them for the storm in late June 2023 (although their recovery from it was disappointing) but that, combined with today's experience, means I'll probably avoid YYC for the next couple of years at least. Unlike others who complain but don't vote with their wallet I will. I'll route myself around YYC for the future. I might pass through sometime in the future hoping they have sorted themselves out better.

Neat, well organized and beautiful Airport with excellent facilities, helpful staff and transportation service .The airport has a lot of amenities like well marked direction boards, clean restaurants , airport is adorned with sculptures depicting local lifestyle and has even a Waterfall and Kids playground! Luggage Service was very good fast! There is a screen that tells you how much long you need to wait to get your luggage! Very convenient and useful! The airport is huge with domestic and international wings but with the electric vehicle you can reach anyplace in no time .They have well marked stations for the electric vehicle pickup and drop. Moreover, the airport buses are also convenient and punctual and the best of all, it only cost you $3.5! Amazing! Really enjoyed and appreciated! Parking is easily available outside the airport but it's a lil pricier.

One of my favourite international airports. Spacious and clean. Well-ventilated. A few key points worth mentioning: 1. There is more than enough seating at the gates. I'm always surprised when I'm at an airport and the gate doesn't have enough seats for the size of the plane. The International Departures area is huge and there are seats for everyone to board a Dreamliner. 2. Washrooms. The bathrooms are huge. Each stall in the International area has 4 hooks and a huge door so you can bring your carry-on into the stall with you, hang up a coat, etc, comfortably. Changing stations for babies are also very large, clean, and located away from the high-traffic enterance/exits of the washrooms. This seems like a small detail, but when travelling with babies, a nice changing station with room to put a baby bag (e.g. not on the floor) is very much appreciated.

I don't have a lot of experience with multiple airports but I travel a fair bit within Western Canada so I know those few and am mostly familiar with the Canadian part of the Calgary international airport. It is pretty good in my opinion and has improved significantly in the past 2 years as things settle down from Covid. This past trip, passing through security took no time at all, previous trips have been about 20 to 30 minutes. Nearly all flights in the past 2 years, about 10+, are at least half hour late, but that's an airline issue, not the airport's. Staff are friendly and helpful at the various shops, restaurants and fast food joints and there are plenty of those. The up-to-date and modern decor celebrates Calgary culture nicely. The White Hat volunteers with their red vests are easy to spot when needing info. They are very friendly and helpful.

What a mess…maybe only 2 planes of arriving passengers that are clearing customs at a snail’s pace. What’s the use of having all the cbsa machines if they can’t read the passport and you’re forced to answer all questions in front of an agent manually completing the form. (Did ours ahead of time on the app and saved absolutely zippo) Only 1 agent to start with. So many people in line (incl. pilots and crew- they looked impressed) all held up because of poor planning and incompetence. YYC and cbsa customs should visit the world and see how it’s done instead of thinking they are number 1 when they’re actually in last place. If this airport had to process the numbers seen at some of the bigger hubs, there would be chaos. Who’s in charge of such a new and improved mess?

This airport is one of my favourite airports in Canada. It is much better, much bigger, much cleaner than Vancouver airport. Even this airport is much ahead in technology comparing to Vancouver airport. It is so easy to follow the directions and you do not miss your pass to your gate. Shuttles are available almost from A gates to D gates. Very well engineered airport. You have access to various fastfood brands such as Subway, A&W, Tim Hortons. There are some other stores for shopping too. The prices are higher is stores but the overall price of fastfood shops are the same and sometimes thwy are out of sandwiches (this issue is much covenient at Tim Hortons). The quality of sandwiches are the same the main branches out of airport so you do not miss the quality.

Being born and raised Albertan and flying out of YYC many times over past 30 years, the improvements are not helpful but rather a hassle. If you like Pearson and were aiming to be like Pearson, mission accomplished. The security people outside where people are getting picked up or dropped off stand over you nagging you the whole time "you can't park here" meanwhile you're there 2 minutes rushing to offload or load luggage to shut the staff up when you literally just pulled in and got out of the vehicle to help the people you're picking up and their luggage get loaded in the vehicle. I guess they want you to drive by with your vehicle doors open and have people try to jump in with their luggage without you bringing the vehicle to a stop.✋️

Travel seems to be back to normal, Calgary Airport is very clean and a nice place. The gates are spread out so connections can be tight. There is a shuttle inside the airport from gate to gate that speeds it right up. The Westjet lounge is great here. There is tons of places to eat through out the airport. Tons of washrooms everywhere and compared to other airports they are very well maintained. If I have to have a layover at an airport when flying I prefer it to be Calgary International Airport for sure. Westjet has a great lounge but often lately my layovers are to quick to go to the lounge. Breakfast at the westjet lounge, French toast sticks.

  • Himani Handa

I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Calgary International Airport (YYC), and I must say it was an exceptional experience. One of the standout features was the seamless YYC Link access, making it incredibly convenient to move between terminals. This efficient connectivity saved me a lot of time and effort, allowing for a stress-free transition during my layover. The airport's array of food counters was impressive. No matter your culinary preference, there was something to satisfy every taste bud. The variety and quality of the food options exceeded my expectations, making my dining experience at the airport truly enjoyable.

Gate A security doesn't know how to do their jobs apparently.... Told me they needed to pay me down, only for the dude to rub hands roughly around my entire body. Never changed gloves, and was scrapping his clothes up and down my front and back t-shirt like he was tryna wipe something off them. Dude needs to learn the difference between a 'pat' down and 'rub' down. I mean if he had wanted fo massage me that badly he coulda just asked. Then when I mention it o him, he gets rude and defensive tryna say this is how he was trained. Dude should be fired, and security needs to re-train their staff for God's sake!!! Nov 12, 2023 3pm

Very beautifully laid out airport with the beautiful traditional, local Indigenous artwork throughout its interior inside the terminal. The terminal is enormous, though equipped with adequate signage for easy navigating through each gate zone in the terminal. Lots of shops and places to eat. Many seating areas to rest and charge your devices, get a nice panoramic view surrounding the airport to the city. One of the best international airports I had the pleasure of spending my long layover to connect to my next flight during my recent trip and look forward to passing through here again on my next trip in western Canada.

  • GabS

Calgary International Airport delivers a top-tier experience. The terminal is spacious and beautifully adorned with Indigenous artwork. Signage is clear, making navigation easy despite its size. Excellent amenities, including numerous shops, eateries, and charging stations, coupled with clean facilities, make long layovers enjoyable. The unique golf cart shuttles add a fun touch. The efficient security process and friendly staff contribute to a smooth and stress-free journey. While a map indicating shops and terminals would be useful, it's undoubtedly one of the best international airports I've visited.

  • Jen fer

You could basically visit this place for fun. Yes I'm that lame. There's a lot to do when waiting for your flight and staff are friendly. The electric cart transport is a fun touch and will transport you between terminals. One weird thing was that they didn't connect gates A, B, C, D to the E gate. There's a ton of food to choose from and the "new" terminal is modern and sleek. It's a beautiful airport. Security/customs are friendly enough. There's outlets to charge your devices as well but they're sparsely placed so it can be hard to get an outlet near your seat.

  • Saleem Bhimji

A great Canadian airport. It's clean, comfortable and friendly. My only thing about this airport is that there is a lack of good restaurants to eat at. They definitely need to do better in attracting a larger variety of restaurants that over better food selections. I'd like to see some halal options as well. Other than that, it's nice that they have a shuttle that runs the length of the airport to the various gates as although the walks are not too long but with children it can become very difficult. There is ample seating at all gates which is another bonus here.

  • Matty Melt

Be sure to plan ahead for the extra time needed to transition through this airport. A "simple" connection doesn't seem to be possible so leave yourself three hours to avoid the stress. This seems to be common since the agents at the ticket / gate counters could care less. It also doesn't help when you have two agents to handle multiple international flights. I did catch a glimpse of the "pre-board pals" that quite a few people stopped to pet. The lounges were nice and the shopping had something for just about everyone.

  • Alex Marvin

A beautiful modern international airport with high end shopping and restaurants, and interesting artistic displays and architecture. I flew here from Newark Airport in the US, which is kind of the opposite experience. Calgary was very well run and I had a relaxing experience. Staff were friendly and even customs went smoothly. I was most impressed by the de-icing equipment when flying home, as these trucks are controlled remotely from the crane cockpit and the sprayer extends far to ensure no ice along the wing.

  • Luke L'sk

I was only doing an international flight connection here, it was quite easy to navigate and know the direction you need to go. Very spacious and big, and a lot of walking is required. The highlight I noticed in this airport is that there is a very cute and tiny terminal shuttle that drives within the airport. the road will pause you from Crossing when the shuttle is going through Maybe I'm just not good at noticing it but it would be nice if there is a map showing the shops and all the terminal's positions

  • Christopher Lew

I’m giving this a five star review solely on their golf cart shuttles! Great drivers and such a fun way to get around the airport. There was a really long line at the security checkpoint for the C gates and I was told to go through the D gate checkpoint which was a lot faster with way less people. This is probably a reminder for me, but to remember to take out laptops and all liquids into a clear bag no more than 100ml. A very clean airport, everything here looks incredibly new and well kept.

  • deepank kartikey

Calgary airport is one of the cleanest and mmost convenient airport I have encountered till now. I came to calgary only for a day on work trip, and spent my whole night just at the airport sleeping on their comfy sofas. They do have lots of charging outlets and hence I didnt face any battery issues with my devices too. I had my dinner from A&W which was open at 11.30 pm and breakfast from Tim Hortons in morning which was open for 24 hours. Overall I didn't face any difficulty. Hope it helps.

  • C T

Be Considerate When Using Pick Up and Go There were three vehicles idling and waiting at Door 16 tonight for more than five minutes. This is a pick up and leave area, not a "let's park our vehicles and waiting area". There are signs but of course these three inconsiderate "people" choose to ignore it. You want to wait, go the the cell area then come and pick up when the person you are picking up arrives!!! Be a little considerate!! Why aren't the YYC attendees enforcing it???

  • Michael T. Ross

What a great airport! I flew to Las Vegas yesterday on the 3:35 flight. The staff are so nice yet strict. They have Tim Hortons!!! I bought a shirt from the shop at the entrance. They have a designated smoking section out front thank you. It was easy to maneuver around. There was an employee working around E94 and I was on her side. The customers were in the wrong and blocking the path, and weren’t following her orders. She gets an A+. Hope to be back again soon!

  • Thea Matanis

Great airport! I've had nothing but positive experiences at YYC. It's very clean, the staff are always so helpful and friendly, there are plenty of places to eat and sit, and there are lots of interesting things to look at. It's a beautiful airport and it's fairly easy to navigate through. They have an indoor pet relief area in Concourse B that has both turf for dogs and litter boxes for cats (my cat approves). I always enjoy my time here in between flights.

  • yuvi padheriya

Suggestions to whom so ever 1:Food court in domestic terminal are to get in to not much of sings for them 2: Duty free is a decent size (International terminal) but doesn't have choices what I have anticipated to see in international Airports Nice and clean Airport. The staff is friendly too. Although not the biggest of all airports but mostly stay busy than all other similar sized airports. It also have sufficient international connections.

  • Jack Otto

The new terminal is very nice. Security line seem to be pretty quick and there are many options for food. The duty-free is pretty large and lines seem to be pretty small all together. They seem to do a pretty good job of getting you through customs in a timely manner. Just make sure you have your documents filled out, and your passports are in available. Nothing annoys the customs officials more than passengers who are not prepared.

  • Zhaohan Xu

Calgary Airport is becoming better and better each time I take flights here. It’s very close to the city and it’s layout very well easy to navigate. Especially like their YYC Link service take you to gate A B C D E with ease save lots time of walking. The lounge here is nice too ample of space to use not very crowded. Wish future could renovate the domestic terminal and have fresh look more modern will attract more tourists.

  • Iain Smith

The Air Canada staff was awesome and helpful. They have a concierge room for a more personalized service. The staff at security was horrible today. Very, very slow, and not at all helpful or friendly. It doesn't hurt to be cordial. If you hate your job that much, go find another one. I fly through here often, and this was the worst experience, and one of the worst from the airports across the country I go through.

  • Kasper Kubica

Flew in from the US and had one of the most smooth, pleasant, and frankly beautiful border crossings of my life. It’s not that this airport has grand architecture, but rather an obvious attention to all the little details that come together to create a magnificent experience. I was just happy being here - and the friendliness and efficiency of everyone made the experience doubly pleasant. A wonderful airport!

  • Jennifer Henczel

This is the best, most modern, well run airport we've been to in North America. It's a pleasure going there for connecting flights. Lots of food options and comfortable places to sit. The customer service is outstanding. It's a stunning facility with a modern anesthetic throughout. It's very clean. There is a rainbow crossing at the lane for the busses. There is a very beautiful selfie art installation, too.

  • Shanta& Rajkumar

Very big airport. There are free shuttle service available for one gate to others. Shuttle drivers are amazing. Sitting area is very good. You can sleep too. I had 5 hours layover, didn’t get bored for a minute. Free Wifi available. Food court is in gate A area. Only few restaurants in food court. Washrooms are clean. A area washroom looks old. Lots of stores for shopping and buying gifts.

  • Bau&Hoa

Great overall airport. It is nice where you don’t have to take a shuttle. Employee are efficient. The most important item to remember is if you are traveling as a family to make sure to separate your toiletries into different carry on or backpacks. You can only have enough to put in a small ziplock bag for each carry on or backpack. Airport security will check your bags.

  • Keith Brouillette

Honestly, airport is not bad but the company that runs the gates is completely incompetent and has time management skills. I fly weekly for work and every time you can expect 20-30 minute delays once you reach the gate. Calgary Airport needs to replace their contract with a more qualified one. Clearly don’t really know how to manage flight traffic of a medium airport.

  • Kevin Ao

The Calgary International Airport (YYC) is a great Canadian airport. It has a few lounges, is clean and modern, and is easy to navigate. The only downside is that the US border will take a while to cross before you can enter the terminal. If you have precheck, you can skip the line at security but you still have to take off your shoes and take out your laptop.

  • Mohammad Shaheedul Ameen

One of the clean and well maintained airports in Canada. It's an international airport with quite a few different sections. Transportation is available for commuting in between if you have difficulty walking. There are some good food stores for a quick bite. I even found some corners available if you'd like a little nap during a layover. Overall I liked it!

  • Meme The Cat

Amazing airport- modern, airy, beautiful. Fly out of here all the time - reason for 3-stars - “we are waiting for a gate agent” is a phrase that I have heard half a dozen times just this year and has cost thousands of passengers endless hours. Simply put - airport is frequently “surprised” by arrival of airplanes- if only there was a way to track it

  • Monica Seys

Terrible experience at the airport today, lines were massive while lots of machines were unused. Zero empathy with families traveling with babies, toddlers and childrens. Anyone at any time offered them any kind of support and help or even guide to where the washroom are. We haven't seen a washroom! Hated my experience here. Horrible.

Calgary International Airport is a gem of efficiency and modernity, despite its smaller size. The airport boasts a stunning interior design that exudes a welcoming ambiance. From seamless check-ins to a plethora of amenities, it offers everything one needs. An excellent choice for a smooth travel experience with a touch of elegance.

Review for the USA terminal, it is spectacular! Airy, open, new, and super clean. Enough shopping if you are so inclined. There are many choices for food. There is art strewn all over, please look up and around. You have your choice of seat types, each with a couple plugs for charging, and great wifi. All in all, a great airport.

  • Jae Snow

I prefer this airport to many I’ve been in over the years! Easy to understand. Some selections for food for the plane. Some of the security staff are not exactly nice, some quite racist. Compared to other Canadian airports both big and small ones - this has been the cleanest I’ve encountered. Glad this is my home airport.

  • Alex Moffat

A great airport - one of my favourites. Clean and modern, nice design, plenty of seating areas and eating/shopping options. Lots of water refilling stations. A logical layout and walkable but also have the transit bus for longer distances. In our experiences the longest we’ve had to queue ever is ~20 mins for security.

  • Malin Grant

This airport has the WORST wheelchair services ever. They will leave elderly passengers (who have booked wheelchairs) stranded in the middle of the airport and they get them to take their own luggage and walk by themselves. DO NOT use this airport if you are travelling alone and need accessibility services.

  • Matthew Casey-Greene

The airport is nice, however the staff move at their own pace. Which is not fast. It only seems to be getting worse, it’s like watching people move in slow motion. It takes an hour or more to get through security for a domestic flight, even when there aren’t many people there. Give yourself lots of time..

  • paul fogul

Very nice airport. All the interactions with the airport staff were very pleasant and every worker was extremely friendly. A large airport for sure but they have cute, free shuttles that can take you to the different terminals. Never reviewed an airport before, but the Calgary airport is deserving of one.

  • Pam Beard

Arriving at Calgary from USA: Spacious airport with clear signage. Security was a tad slow. Rental car area VERY FAR from arrivals. Return to USA from Calgary: Customs was quite slow. Again, signage was adequate. Lots of space, but virtually NO SEATING at gate. Also, no place to charge electronics.

  • Jordan Janisse

Overall a nice airport. A few minor nits. It would be nice to have paper towels in the bathrooms to dry your hands. Also, it would be nice to have many more charging plugs for personal devices. A few more quick eat places spread around the airport would be useful for when your connection is tight.

  • Alejandro Dugar

Very nice experience at Calgary International Airport. At arrival, they have self registration machines which are very convenient and user friendly. Immigration officials are very polite and respectful. All airport facilities tide and clean. My wife and I really love Calgary International Airport.

  • Kin Chan

It's our first time taking an international flight back to Calgary. We're happy to explore this part of the airport, which we never get a chance to discover. Our overall experience was good. But it's a bit chaotic when we tried to find an unused kiosk to scan our passports and to fill up the form.

  • Holman Louis

Directions to the different terminals are clearly marked. Airport is clean. Security is efficient. There are a variety of food outlets available, including the usual fast food places, but surprisingly sushi as well. On the downside, the airport is large and distances between terminals can be long.

  • darren ma

Everything runs pretty smoothly from deplaning, to customs and declaration but as soon as you come to grab your checked bags from the carousel, everything comes to a grinding halt. Waiting at a Carousel for an hour now and still no sign of baggages. This has happens multiple times over many years.

  • Mike Cooper

Really good airport, easy to find your way around. Lots of self service check-in terminals for boarding cards and baggage check-in. Really good choice of eateries airside and some good local duty free drinks. Found a whisky from the Turner Valley distillery we had visited a few days earlier.

  • Joshua Tamayo

First time to Canada! The arrival landing was smooth and quick. We were off the plane without any issues and honestly the security and employees at the airport were very welcoming and efficient at getting us through to enjoy our vacation! Great welcome and start to our first trip to Canada!

  • K W

2022 June 4★ YYC airport Calgary international airport is nice. A good size for the city. It's got a nice shuttle bus running inside between terminals which is cool. Ok overall. Lots of hand sanitization stations throughout. Washrooms could be bigger. Seems like there's only a few stalls.

  • Brandon Lawrence L. Yu

Very Great And Big Airport Am Here For A 1 Day Family Visit From Yellowknife There Were Shops And More! I Heard There’s Like A Airplane Ride Cool Right So There Were Lots Of Taxis At The Airport There Was A lot Of People There I’ve Been Here For About A 7 Hours Great Airport!

  • Leah Day

One of the better airports I've been to. Customs process was quick and straightforward. I had the friendliest pat down I've ever gotten! And I enjoy the open spaces with in the terminal. Lots of good food and drink options as well. I hope I get a chance to come back!

  • Kyle R

Security is slow. Took 1hr 10min @ to get through security checkpoint for a 9am domestic flight. After the security line delays I had time to quick use the washroom and run to grab a coffee before boarding cut off. The rest of the facilities were clean and pleasant.

  • Enzo

Badly organized. You arrive late night on concourse C but your bags get ejected on carousel 2. Inside the security there is a bus, but no info where your bags will be. Outside security you now have to walk along all of the domestic concourses. Just unnecessary.

  • Steven P

Easy to navigate to your gate and terminal. Security check and passport control were a breeze to go through. There are good variety of choices for food and stores. Maybe I was traveling on a not so busy day but overall my experience was great at this airport.

  • Jonathan York

I was here for a 3 hour layover. Honestly really great experience. Not too crowded, but still a good amount of people out and about. They have a pretty wide selection of foods and lots of coffee places as well. One of the cleanest Canadian airports I've seen.

  • Chuck Little

So incredibly clean and efficient! made an appointment for customs ahead of time and made it through security and customs in around 20 minutes (early flight helped no doubt). Even with a sold out flight our United crew got us out on time and we landed early.

  • M K

Busy international airport. Washrooms available throughout the entire place. Some kids areas as well. The security check was very slow but understandable. Spacious layout. Relaxing areas and lots of food options including Tim Hortons and Chillis.

  • Michael Gruber

Great airport; quiet, relaxed and clean. Only drawback is lack of signage for departures. Most of the displays are on small screens facing away from security. Ideally it would be best to have large disays facing the entrances to the airport.

  • Samuel Nero

A very massive airport with multiple daily flights. Flights from this airport connect major destinations in Canada such as Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, etc. It also serves as a port of entry (POE) for major international

  • Lennie Berry

Was flying YYC to YEG and our departure gate was A04 because WS flys their smaller aircraft front that area. These gates are at the very end of this airport which looks like a concrete jail. Very few toilet facilities. Stark concrete walls

  • Ashley Cannon

It actually shocks me how long you have to wait for your luggage at this airport. I always make a point to not check a bag due to the sole fact that EVERY TIME I fly home I have never gotten my bag in under an hour. It is insane. I travel

  • Itzel Andrade

Clean, safe and modern airport. Staff was joyful and professional. Unfortunately my flight was canceled and rescheduled 16 hrs. later. It was unexcepted but staff guided me to quite areas for me to relax during the long wait. There is a

  • Tom McOwen

Customs was a breeze. Definitely do the pre customs form on the app. I even declared some food and was through customs in about 4 minutes. All if the officers were polite, it is Canada after all, and efficient. That being said. Being

  • Nathan Friesen

Always enjoy flying through this airport! It's clean, easy to navigate and has plenty of food and drink options. Only downside is that the gates are often pretty cramped, but it's a world class airport beyond that!

  • Sam K

I am giving them 5 stars for free baggage trolley but the walk from the car rental to international is very long. Overall, very clean airport and plenty of fast food and Starbucks inside the international terminal

  • Samantha McGee

We're to the Burger shack for a bite to eat and to kill sometime for my layover. Had a great view of the tarmac, watched the equipment driving around clearing snow My waitress was awesome, the food was great.

  • Carlos Y

Beautiful, clean and well designed! There is a complimentary shuttle that is big enough for Strollers and wheelchairs. The staff are super friendly and also treat you like people and not Cattle :-)

  • Barbara Nicholson

Calgary airport could not have been more miserly in designing this section of the airport. It lacks basic needs such as seating and phone recharging stations. It has absolutely no charm as well.

  • Marilyn Lindsay

Love the shuttle train between terminals, and all the white hat volunteers ready to help. Passport control was quick and painless. Could use a few more food options with seating in Terminal C

  • Joe Crawford

Very easy in and out. Love the fact you go through US customs there and don't have to worry about it when you land back in the states. Airport was very clean and wasn't crowded at all.

  • Pamela R

Clean airport, seating you can actually sleep on while you wait for your flight. Good amount of choices of places to eat. The indoor shuttle was great, I used it on my way to the UK.

  • Caroline Toledo

I had a good experience in this airport. I had to sleep at the airport and it was not too bad. I could find a comfortable chair and I was able to get some sleep during the night.

  • Priya Shah

Very huge airport but it’s easy to navigate around. The facility of shuttle is available to go to different gates. Many options available for the food, drinks and shopping.

  • Loan

Not a busy airport so it’s easy to get through security. Has a couple play areas for the kids that helps kill time. Wish it had more sit down restaurants to eat/drink at!

  • Jorovie Muñoz

Very good airport, easy to get out of, and not too big for you to get lost, and this airport has a shuttle, which makes it easier for you to get to where you're going.

  • Michelle Siloé Vargas Fernández

Beautiful and clean airport! You can find good places to eat and have a good coffee while you wait for your flight. Efficient service and safe! Respectful staff also.

  • Nikki B

Easy to navigate. Easy to get bags. Everything was very smooth. Lots of good resources for after flight provisions. Clean with great play areas for the kids.

  • Shawn Selanders

Calgary’s airport is fantastic! Prices for food etc aren’t inflated like many other airports. Tons of amenities. Lots of parking and friendly staff.

  • Brien Castro

Nice airport. Very large though, so wear something comfortable since you will be walking a lot. (don’t be like me and wear your Jordans)

  • Kenya

I would like to praise the area at the airport designed for children to have fun, while parents need to sort out the bureaucracy.

  • Destination Diaries with Matt

The airport is pleasant, and each time I travel, I never experience overwhelming crowds. Paid Parking is conveniently accessible.

  • Sarah Yip

Spacious and clean airport! I flew in from the US and I had a good experience. All the employees are really kind and helpful.

  • Reza Sattarzadeh Nowbari

A big airport serving the city of Calgary. The layout of the airport building is fine. It's the busiest airport in Alberta.

  • Jeet khela

Some area don’t have plugins for charging phones. Otherwise, good! Eazy to find doors and staff everywhere to help you

  • Louise Borg

Beautiful and clean. Lots of shops and restaurants. Lots of bathrooms There's a team to take anyone between gates

  • Brenda K

The airport was nice and clean! Not enough choices for restaurants! Checking in to go to the US was very fast!

  • Aniket Adhau

Great place less crowded, great parking facility, used the parked P1&2 for my short term guest pick up

  • Trat Fuller

I sure am glad this is not a destination spot and unfortunately it is a necessary means to an end,
