Only store in Kingston where you can drop $2000 and they will still charge you for a bag. Jokes aside, they’re inventory is great, reasonable prices, and for the most part, pretty good helpful staff. The reason I say for the most part that some of the staff can be very rude and disgruntled when you ask something of them. On one occasion I wanted to buy a mouse that was currently not on display, but in stock. An employee from the basement had to come upstairs to retrieve the mouse from their inventory which he seemed very irritated and reluctant to do. When he found the mouse he handed to me without even acknowledging me to which i thanked him and received a sigh and eyeroll in return. On another occasion I went in to upgrade my PC. I was looking at the variety of GPUS they offer when an employee working behind the desk asked if i needed help with anything, I responded stating that I was looking to upgrade my PC but i haven’t decided on what yet. The employee said nothing in response. Now I'm no expert in sales. But the customer service part of my brain would see that as an opportunity to ask the customer (me) questions like what specs are they are currently running, what their budget is, if they've done any research on potential parts they wanna buy, really just anything to help someone who’s unsure find something they will be happy with. I still found parts I liked without the employees help and promptly made a $2000 purchase. As i was leaving i looked around the store thanked everyone and told them to have a great day. What did i get in return?? Complete silence from all the employees behind the counter. I don't know if the people working here just lack social skills or they genuinely hate having to stop doing whatever it is they’re doing in the basement to actually help their customers but when i go to a place where spending large amounts of money is guaranteed, I atleast expect basic human manners. Also if you dont know exactly what you are talking about some of the employees seem to develop a superiority complex and talk to customers very condescendingly. I dont know his name, but there is a younger, shorter haired guy who can often be found in the back section of the store who is extremely polite and helpful. He helped me choose which parts would best fit my current setup and explained to me stuff i didnt know and helped me understand crucial things. If you plan on coming here and have no prior knowledge on computers then I would highly suggest talking to him.

I've shopped at other Canada Computer stores and online in the past and have been very happy. This was my first time at the Kingston store and I had many detailed questions to find the best personal laptop and accessories that day within my budget given a few specific requirements I had. Staff and service. The staff I interacted with were absolutely a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgable on the products they carried and just computer specs in general. Their professionalism was equally impressive. A couple weeks after purchase, I was back for a quick service call and once again, absolutely top notch after sale service. Product. As for the new laptop and couple accessories after two weeks use, excellent as well. The laptop and accessories I choose, based on their recommendations, is exceeding my expectations. Price. I walked out well under budget and given product performance, I have to say value for the dollar is 5 stars without question. Overall, I highly recommend this store and I will be going here for my next business laptop as well, likely within the year. Thanks Canada Computers staff!

Had an 18 year old whiz kid accompany me to Canada Computers on Princess to help me build a decent rig. I myself had been there many times, but shopped the deals Black Friday and Boxing Day and they (CC) did offer some decent deals. Spent about $4,000 for a very decent rig, even with shopping the deals. The staff were very helpful as I filled my cart. As well they have an excellent tech shop. However the lower rating comes from the fact that after I spend my money, I took my rig home, set it up. Everything worked perfectly except for a single fan within the housing of the new tower I bought. Instead of dismantling my rig, I brought in the fan and they pretty much told me "too bad so sad", so I had half a mind to return the entire rig over a $20 fan... However I am not that petty. My 18 year old buddy luckily knew soldering, and we fixed it ourselves. So in short. Tech shop is good for what you need fixed. The store proper are adequate, offer decent deals, and will take your money. Don't expect anything more than that.

Refuses to honor their price match policy. When challenged on it quoting the terms and conditions, the employee at cash went immediately to the final option of "may decline any price match at its sole discretion" rather than follow the companies own rules. I previously shopped here for time sensitive purchases and like supporting local Canadian retailers where applicable. I will never be shopping here again and told the employee as much. He told me after hearing that, "that sounds great to me" in those actual words. Embarrassing that your service is so poor. Memory express from now on. At least their employees don't try to act like god. Or hit on my girlfriend like a total creep. [Edit] reached out to their corporate customer service who said the manager would reach out. That hasn't happened yet, but I'll update this if it does. Never heard anything back. I'll never deal with Canada computers again. Been a customer of 15 years roughly.

Just a word of caution if you are ordering online then picking up your order in the store... I received the order pickup notification at 5:49pm on a Thursday. The notification said I had two days to pick up my items. I planned to pick up my order on Saturday. Friday at 7:49pm, I received a notification saying that my order wasn't picked up on time and it was cancelled. I went into the store on Saturday at 2pm (as planned) to find out why it was cancelled after only 1 day. They told me that two days means the day the notification comes out and the next day only. That's strange, last time I checked 2 days = 48 hours which should have been 5:49pm on Saturday. Must be the new math. They were not going to honour my order or the sale price which ended Thursday. To their credit, one of their employees was able to void the cancellation. My recommendation, don't order anything online for pickup in the store unless you can go the very next day.

I've been working with this location for almost 10 years now, and I've never had a bad experience. I figured it was time to write them a review. I'm a business account holder, as well as a hobbyist system builder and the staff are always courteous, kind and personable. They're always quick to help me find something, and if a product isn't up to par, they take care of it with agility. There aren't too many businesses that inspire loyalty these days, (especially in competitive markets), but if you need something electronic related, I am whole-heartedly confident that if you go to this location, they will take care of you. A personal shout out to the gentlemen I work with most: Aaron, Dawson, Rob, Shayne, Wilson and their leadership team Chris and Dave, as well as the repair services team that I don't see often, but when I do are just as kind as the rest of the staff. keep up the good work crew. You ARE making a difference.

Shady business and fraudulent!!!!! I tried to bring back a CPU cooler that didn't come with all parts to only be told it was already returned. As everyone knows that you get a receipt when you return something and it's marked as returned. So I showed them the original recept and said there was no record of it being returned on original receipt and told them it must be a mistake. Unfortunately they still didn't repair or replace the missing part and told me I'm out of luck. I assume that they are returning items and pocketing the cash as a result of this I can't bring back a useless CPU cooler they sold me. I am reporting this to the IRS as this is fraud!!, I didn't return the item and when tried to they told me that I already did!!!!!!!!! I have added a photo of the original receipt to show it wasn't returned and is not marked as it was returned as all business are required to do.

Be weary of the service here, took my computer here for inquiry with a minor hinge issue and the guy started bending my computer this way and that with complete carelessness and lack of sensitivity. I could HEAR the cracking of parts within as he handled the device as if it was a toy. He ended up bending the side of the computer out of shape (the picture was of the lasting damages after I tried bending it back). Left the place with my computer still broken and heightened mental distress as I had all of my important documents on this laptop. If you have a minor issue with your laptop, be super cautious. I’m not a tech person but I believe that even minor problems should be handled with the same care and attention as more serious ones. This experience is saddening as I will never be able to trust technicians fully with any repairs again.

I have had a great experience with this store. However, if you do not know what you are looking for you will get robbed and set up to fail. The store staff is usually very friendly but more often than not they are grumpy and not on your side. This is not a store where the customer is right and so does not expect good customer service. Be careful of "extended" warranty. Ask plenty of questions if needed. I would suggest doing your research at home and checking several creditable review websites before making a purchase. Storefront employees will try to upsell so watch out. You have only 14 days to return items that you don't like but are not broken. You have one month 30 days to return DOA items. If you bend pins or make a mistake you are not covered for warranty return. Please be careful.

I came in a couple months ago with my PC i built as it was having several problems out of the blue many months after I built it, i tried everything in my power to fix it cuz i was nervous to bring it anywhere but, everyone was super friendly, helpful and whoever the gentlemen at the service desk who was there made sure to explain everything in a very clear and understandable way. Everything was very reasonably priced and all the work was done fairly close to the estimated time provided so I didn’t have to wait long either. I would definitely recommend the service department of Kingston Canada Computers to friends and family in the future, I was extremely happy with the experience overall and and was over the moon to have my PC working again :)

Pretty cool place. I don't know much about computers but I went to check out the store anyways while strolling through downtown. I didn't buy anything while browsing but when I tried to walk out the front door the security scanner beeped. They checked my bag and found nothing. Turns out that the briefcase that I brought from staples today (actually) still had a security tag inside that was still activated. They deactivated it at no cost from me. Thank you for founding out what the problem was lol. My briefcase beeped when I tried to walk out of Staples prior but they didn't do anything to disable the security tag but this place did. Smart people who can think logically work here.

Shot of the MAVIC Air 2 about 2000M distance from remote. I love Canada Computers. Staff is expertly knowledgeable. There is always someone on stall that has an answer, and there isn’t EVER anyone ignorant enough to give a bs answer…. I’ve tried to mess them up They know what’s up. Solid sales. Exceptionally friendly management with Leniency providing you demonstrate your professional knowledge. I will always keep coming back to Canada Computers because they make me feel good About my purchases and back me with info I may not have known. And if I do? Confirms what I know real-time. You guys are All PROS Keep up the amazing work guys. Thanks for your business.

Canada computers in general has competitive pricing and I would love to give them my business. Their price matching policy on the other hand is a joke. Was price matching $30 off from a $500 item and they refused it because the other store had an expedited shipping fee of $150, but also free shipping if you waited 1 day more. Other canada computer stores in toronto would never turn me away or ask me about the shipping charges. May have just turned me off going there completely, rather have it shipped to my house for free rather than argue with a staff member...

Lots of excutes to refuse exchange or refund. I took a defect mother with that only one monery slots working. I was told that one pin cpc sock was bended, and then a refund or exchanged was refused. That guy told me that every motherboard have to be shown to the custom to ensure there is no problem to the cpu socket. However, nobody showed me and verified the motherboard. I asked again if I could got an exchange. That guy decidedly said no. I am so disappointed as a 25-year, loyal customer. Strict exchange and refund policies kicked out many costomers.

I went into the store the last 15 mins before they close in a desperate rush. The kind man in the back helped me quickly find what I need (I didn't catch his name but in another life he was more metal then Rob Zombie). On my way out I realized another kind person was playing the Jurassic park theme (because I was wearing a t-shirt) it instantly changed my mood from "I gotta get the heck out of here" to "oh snap I kinda want to stay a bit longer." Canada computers was always my go to for like computer components but this experience cemented it.

I think this is a great place to get what you need at a good price. I've dealt with the employees on multiple occasions and all are very knowledgeable and more then willing to help you out. I had an issue with a pre built I had bought that was running qay too hot. I was able to return it and build my own with no hassle and the staff made sure everything I picked out was compatible and the best bang for my buck performance wise. Incredible selection in store I think with lots of options for most PC stuff.

Big shout out to Riley C. — Amazing service rep at 350 Princess St, Kingston, ON store. Not only were they knowledgeable about computer building, their advice to and manner with my 12 year son was sincere and genuine. All the while, Riley had to multi-task in operating the cash register for other customers while serving us (none of the other 3 staff members present and serving other customers did the same). Riley was like a superstar of customer service. Highly impressed! Riley deserves a raise.

  • Christine Gemmell

Not a happy customer!! The website clearly stated that a stylus came with my touchscreen laptop. It didn’t come in the box so I contacted customer service. I opened up a complaint ticket and a product manager sent me their policy, basically saying, that they are not responsible for any false advertising. I sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. They have had hundreds of complaints in the last year. I definitely won’t be buying anything from there ever again

  • Diamonious

Be careful here, know what you want, and hope you don’t have to return it. Tried hard to upsell when I had the product I wanted. After they served 2 people in-front of me while I was waiting to be taken care of. Also watched them screw over a student who wanted to return a PlayStation 5, but told him no because it was opened software. Not sure who they hired here as a manager but a ps5 is hardware. Not only that the staff was very rude.

  • Claudia Hirtenfelder

Excellent service! Whenever I have a problem with my computer I go here first because the service is just really great. My control keys weren't working so I went there today. Rather than immediately checking my laptop the technician first looked to see if he could remedy the problem over the counter. Lucky for me he was able to! I not only left there with everything in order but tips on how to help my laptop function better in future.

  • Jonathan Facun

This is one of the best places in Kingston to buy all things computer related. You can buy parts and build a PC on your own and the staff KNOW what they're talking about. You can get everything you would need to make a PC, Smart Home and a network. They have adapters for all your presentation needs, and power adapters if yours breaks All their prices are reasonable and fair. They won't sell you anything you don't need.

  • Quintie Mijnals

Was told my device would be done within a week, however, it was only fixed in 4 weeks. In the mean time, I experienced insufficient (internal) communication, carelessness that resulted in more damage on my device and lack of professionalism (e.g. I had to go back three times because the job was done wrongly and they forgot the screws). Because of the high price and the above mentioned, I will never go here again.

  • Ron Turley

I love this place. Knowledgeable geeks, decent prices, generally well stocked. I bought an HD at slightly more than the price offered on Amazon. I want these guys to survive. Kingston needs them. Update: 30-July-23. Just picked up a monitor and a USB hub as this is a second external monitor for my laptop. As expected, great service from knowledgeable geeks. Great advice founder the best price.

  • L Pi

Fantastic service, had my computer bitlocked, a family member said it was the kissof death. Needed a new SSD went to CC. About to buy a new Storage and mentioned my problem.theperson said just go to Microsoft and get the pass to unlock my drive. They saved me $$$ more important saved me having to spend hours to set up a new hard drive.

  • Babak TABASSI

*****Don't go there***** A fancy store, with dollar store quality. Now I can imagine why people go to Amazon. In first look, things are good quality, a little cheaper than Amazon. But after a month you will find too much trouble. When they are going to sell you, they talk simple, but when you have any problem, they became Shakespeare!!

  • Capricious Conch

Awesome spot. Recommended by my mentor as a DJ to buy a laptop for mixing. I went on Black Friday to get a particular computer with 16gb ram, i5 or higher. They sold the last one an hour before but had a much better Intel model for only $100 more (I saved $600). Best prices and great selection, renowned across Canada. OG.

  • At_The_Speed_Of_Life

Staff is friendly and professional. They replied to all of my emails within 24 hours and have worked with me on ordering all my parts for my new pc build. A had parts that i purchased that went on sale the next day or so and they honored their price policy and refunded the difference or put it towards something else.

  • Brandon Tobin

Low quality stock. Nice employees but I've generally walked away disappointed. Seems overpriced as well. Mark up seems too generous to their profits and not to the consumer experience. Their website doesn't work properly. A computer store with a broken website should maybe tell you everything.

  • Craig Deacon

These guys are great. If your PC fix or diagnostic is fast on the spot they will do it for free. Great service and reasonable prices for work requiring you leave it with them. Every staff member I've ever interacted with has been polite and very knowledgeable. Excellent service all around.

  • Caleb Armstrong

Love how much selection they have for a relatively small city location. Starting to see some of me lesser known brands popping up which is always a huge plus. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It's my go to place when I need new parts or have a little extra spending money.

  • Diane Verreault

A great place to shop, for all of your computer needs and so much more, the staff was friendly and helpful....a great experience, l hadn't been there before, needed a computer chair, ordered it online, they held it for a few days until I picked it up ..that's awesome service

  • Marg Buckholtz

Today I took my computer in for a repair. The person in charge of repairs was phenomenal. He immediately understood the problem and fixed it. In a friendly manner, he explained clearly to me what I had been doing wrong and what I should do in the future. Very impressive!

  • Jonathan Turcotte

This is the first time I've ever given a computer store 5 stars but not only was the service exceptional, the sales staff themselves were friendly, knowledgeable and didnt push me into one purchase or another. In and out with the machine I wanted :)

  • Stephanie Trudel

Had a great experience at Canada computer. Got great customer service. Felt listened to and understood with what I wanted. Aaron and Riley both went above and beyond, great customer service and great to deal with! Thanks for all of your help.

The employees working the day I was here were extremely friendly and very helpful. I purchased my first gaming computer from here and I’ve had absolutely no issues with it. I highly recommend visiting this place if you haven’t.

  • Nick Belzile

Love this place the staff are always super helpful and I always worry that I'll get clowned on if I don't know EVERYTHING but the staff here never makes me feel that way and I always try to find a reason to return. Thanks guys

  • MonkeyMutt

I don't know the name of the guy who helped me pick out a laptop but he is tall and has long hair. He took the time with me and answered all my questions and was very friendly. I'm very happy with the laptop I got.

  • Abdulrazzak Fallaha

I've bought from this Canada Computers branch a handful of times. They have great service and are very respectful and knowledgable. Sometimes I even asked for advice from them and they offered it without a charge.

  • ItzHurg

I really like the small place it has kind staff working but I paid to have my windows transferred to a SSD from a HDD and my computer has had issues since then I don't know if I'll personally be going back.

  • Mike

Treating all your customers like theives by not letting them actally shop in your store good way to lose them. Start paying your empyees more than minimum and you would not have staffing issues.

  • Aidan Westdal

I was in with a hardware issue last week and the salesman Rob was super friendly and helpful, my issue was sorted quickly and I always felt cared for. I would 100% recommend this business.

  • John McNair

A very helpful and upbeat crew herein, with a good selection of parts and accessories, and whole systems. Reliable service department too, albeit slower than one would hope. But thorough.

  • Jay Kenney

I've been into this location a few times. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are always trying to meet your needs in the most cost-efficient way.

I am stuck here trying to return a product I bought an hour earlier that wasn't even compatible with each other, and this guy is doing a windows XP repair. Normally fine.
