Here’s my second review after going to the Richmond Canada Computers to compare with the Broadway one. In general Canada Computers works like this: Staff: 1-2 stars Reason: Sales Representative tend to only sell you something but don’t tell you what’s wrong or if something goes wrong it’s your responsibility to take care of it. It is best for those who want to buy computer parts and want to build a pc but for those who want to buy a laptop I recommend you buy elsewhere. Why? There are no reviews on their website at Canada Computers even after posting a review meaning they don’t want customers to find out what’s wrong with a computer before buying. Their return policy is totally subject to their companies policy and they can easily reject you for any number of reasons so it’s there for show only. On one of their repair policy it is noted that if you don’t pickup the repair after 3 months it’s theirs. They also cannot fulfill their policy of price matching on the web and I was there when I saw one guy come in before Black Friday to price match a bunch of computer parts only to be refused by the sales saying they don’t do price match for a long while now before checkout. In other words, if you buy something, don’t expect to be able to return it and if something goes wrong, Canada Computers won’t do anything to save you. All they can do is send it back to manufacturers to fix if under warranty, which you can do yourself. Response: Depending on the stores some won’t even pickup the phone. When they do, they tend to brush you off if possible and if your lucky you might meet someone somewhat decent to talk to but expect yourself to tell them what to do to get their jobs done. Also sales and repair department is two separate departments so if you want to know the status of your repairs, you need to contact them Monday to Friday when their technicians are in. Email response tend to be ignored if you don’t provide information. Customers are considered troublesome to deal with so employees tend to brush them off as a nuisance. Saving grace is repair department does do their job, while taking two weeks to do so just to apply thermal paste on cpu/gpu with a reasonable price and will send stuff for fixing for those under warranty back to manufacturer, but I highly don’t recommend it unless you have to especially those who have a laptop with say water damage. Then again you can send the laptop yourself since it’s under warranty. To summarize: Canada Computers is a good place to buy cheap pc parts and some laptops not found elsewhere. However, if something goes wrong it’s your problem not Canada Computers. Don’t expect returns or if you receive a dud expect to take it out of your own pocket. Customer service is only there to sell and expect to be treated like a beggar for any service for most customer service person in sales or to tell them exactly what they need to do to do their jobs. Repairs are ok and they do their job for those who have warranties to send to manufacturer or need special services to work on their computers like adding thermal paste to cpu/gpu they do their jobs for an ok price. Emails/Phone Calls are dreadfully terrible. Avoid at all costs and go to store instead. I don’t recommend Canada Computers due to their terrible service, bad communication in their own departments, bad communication on contacts and policies that they do not uphold but are there written down to take advantage of customers gullibility of thinking there is this service to return things or price match something only to be disappointed. I recommend bestbuy or amazon instead.

Absolutely terrible experience with Canada Computers on Broadway. I HIGHLY recommend shopping elsewhere (Bestbuy, Newegg etc). I tried returning a motherboard that was purchased within the 15 day return policy and had SPECIFICALLY asked Bronson, the sales associate, if I could return the product if it had not been used. He said it would be NO PROBLEM at all at the time. When I had returned to refund/exchange the product, he tried to convince me (in a very condescending way) that he had told me that I had since I had removed the tiny piece of scotch tape that 'sealed' the bag that the motherboard was in, that there is absolutely NO WAY that they would refund, exchange or even consider discounting the product. I then politely asked to speak to a supervisor or store manager multiple times, but Bronson insisted it was a waste of time and came back from the back of the store without the manager each time. Another customer had showed up soon after to refund his motherboard and had no issues with returning it although he had opened his product. All I wanted was to get some clarification from a manager around the store policy and have a chance to explain to them that I was told something different from what I was experiencing at the return counter. I have purchased parts from them before and was in the store to purchase more products that would easily exceed the value of the motherboard itself. It was clear that Bronson and his 'supervisor' didn't get the difference between a $250 one-time return vs the potential lifetime value of a long-term customer. This was a problem that could have easily been solved with a little logic and reasoning, but was instead faced with incredibly stubborn and blatantly rude customer service from an incompetent low-level sales associate. A 1-star review is being generous, I will never shop there again.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Canada Computers Broadway store, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. Despite its small size, this store manages to pack a punch when it comes to offering everything you need for your computer needs. The first thing that struck me was how impeccably neat and organized the store was. Each shelf and display was thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. The cleanliness and tidiness of the store made for a pleasant shopping experience, and it's clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment. One of the standout aspects of this store is the customer service. The staff are not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable about their products. They were ready and willing to assist us with any questions or concerns we had, offering expert advice and guidance. It's evident that they are genuinely passionate about technology and computers, and this enthusiasm is infectious. Whether you're a tech novice or a seasoned pro, you'll feel right at home in this store. The staff's ability to communicate technical information in an approachable and understandable manner is truly commendable. In conclusion, I can wholeheartedly recommend this store to anyone in need of computer-related products and services. My experience at this store was nothing short of delightful, and I will certainly be returning for my future computer needs.

If you think that incredible service is a thing of the past, think again. Canada Computers on West Broadway goes above and beyond in personal service and product quality. Shout out to all the staff and management who not only delivered the highest quality of service but demonstrated respectful teamwork every time I walked through their doors. Eddy who welcomed me the first day and started me off on my journey pointing me in the right direction , John who filled me in on some behind the scenes benefits of computer support services, special shout out to Neeraj, who’s incredible patience, expertise and consideration resulted in me finding the perfect, affordable computer to fit my needs , Conrad who, always with a smile, researched my questions and helped me find accessories to put it all together, Tristan who contributed to the overall respectful environment and gave nods and suggestions throughout the process as I witnessed him offer top quality service to others as I kept his colleagues more than busy. Wherever you are in this town, Canada Computers on West Broadway is not too far away and well worth the trip. Most people recommended that I buy online when I told them I was in the market; however, after my experience at Canada Computers, I strongly disagree. I am now a lifelong customer and I recommend you join me in taking your business to where you can count on being met with integrity in service and product. Thank you! No buyer’s remorse here.

I ordered an open box computer chassis. The payment was promptly accepted and on the 5th day I received an e-mail telling me they actually don't have the item in stock.... They suggested I purchase another type of case they have in stock (no guarantee given my recent experience) or request the refund, which I did right away. I have never experienced anything like that before - not in dealing with reputable retailers. A quick glance at their own employees reviews of the company (Glassdoor website) indicates company is struggling with rather poor internal culture. No wonder customers are not served well or at the best the service is chaotic. Here are the snippets from NCIX employee reviews (Glassdoor - 2015): "Installing open box or RMA parts into new computers? Telling customers a made-up ETA so they don't cancel their order? Providing fake analytics data to vendors to claim marketing funds? Importing grey market products? Mandatory unpaid overtime? Abuse of personal information by HR and blatant discrimination? If you can think of it, it's probably been done." "This place has illegal or underpaid warehouse employees waiting for their PR card. These sponsored workers are all from China and none of them will speak up for fear of losing their working status and being sent back. How's that for company culture?" "Gifts at the Christmas dinner are customer returns and RMA products. Seriously?"

From the moment I walked into Canada Computers, Josh exuded the perfect blend of professionalism and personable service. His vast knowledge of products, combined with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers, made my shopping experience not only seamless but truly enjoyable. Josh showcased an impressive ability to listen and understand my computing needs. Instead of pushing for the most expensive items, he recommended solutions that were tailored to my specific requirements and budget. This is a testament to his integrity and commitment to the customer's best interests. In an age where quality customer service is a rarity, Josh stands out as a beacon of excellence. His patience in explaining intricate tech details to a layman, his proactive approach in offering relevant add-ons, and his courteous demeanor are commendable. Moreover, his troubleshooting skills and product knowledge seem unparalleled. There were multiple instances where I observed him handling complex queries from other customers with grace and expertise. In conclusion, Josh is an invaluable asset to Canada Computers. His dedication, expertise, and impeccable customer service skills have not only earned my loyalty as a customer but also my utmost respect. If there is a face to the outstanding reputation of Canada Computers, it would undoubtedly be Josh's.

I went in there 4 times over the course of about 10 days. Don't take their advice. Period. I talked to several different people over the course of about 10 days, to help get me the best computer for the money. I told them exactly what programs I run and exactly what I do with my computer. So I took their "Expert" advice, and they hooked me up with a 1 month wait to receive a useless computer. I spent $900 to replace my 5 year old, $600 computer, and now I'm having to sell the computer they sold to me on Craigslist because it's worse than the 5-year old $600 computer I was trying to replace. The worst part is they held the computer for me in their store after I bought it (because I was waiting to get a video card installed in it) then when I finally got the computer home and realized it wasn't capable of anything, they told me they couldn't take it back because it was purchased over 15 days ago... Yeah. 15 day return policy for $900, even though they had it in their store with them. My final recommendation to you guys is to not take their advice. Do you research online, and save money buying your parts from cheaper online stores. Then pay someone $50 to set it up for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. NCIX is a scam. Very unethical business practices.

Typically, having Canada Computers right across from Memory Express has made this corner of Broadway a great hub for picking up PC supplies, as I've generally found the experiences of dealing with both stores pretty equal and between them I can find just about everything I might need for a build. For the time being however I have to dock CC for their inexplicable abandonment of their pricing guarantee as a Covid protection measure. Huh? I can generally understand the changes to their returns policy on that basis, there's no way of knowing who has been directly handling a component post-purchase. But how on earth can checking a competitor's website for the price of a component possibly constitute a health risk to anybody? Even in-store that makes zero sense, let alone ordering something online. I don't know of any other electronics retailer adopting such a policy - certainly not their direct competition across the street, nor larger more heavily-trafficked retailers. It's nonsensical and comes off as a very cynical excuse for them to justify shaving off some losses to their bottom line, which is frankly a big disadvantage when an alternative is a 30-second walk away.

purchased a custom build last year and found it odd there was no fans in the case. brought it to another store and they said fans should have been added from the beginning as im running a 2080ti and they tend to heat up. luckily i trusted my gut and got a second option. When i went in i told them i have no idea how to build a tower so i needed their expert advice. the first guy i dealt with was very rude and talked down to me until i asked for another sales person to help me as i didnt want to deal with him and his attitude. i told new guy my budget was about 5k and i needed him to show me exactly what was needed to build a powerful gaming pc. the fans were a big oversite that shouldnt have been missed and could have killed my pc within a year or 2. very disappointed considering they should be knowledgeable in building pcs. i wont be buying my next tower from here. if i could give zero stars i would because my budget was big enough this small thing shouldnt have been missed. i got it liquid cooled but everyone else ive talked to said other fans are needed to pump out the hot air through the back of the case and pull cool air into the front of the case.

Current COVID policies around returns, price matching, and price protection are highly restrictive, especially compared to other businesses. They do not allow you to return open packages and they do not offer price protection "due to the current situation" (?! is matching your own sale price going to spread the virus?!). I was not informed of this policy when buying the item -- these new policies are not advertised in a prominent way. Impersonal, lazy and delayed service. Had to wait at the door for 10 minutes before anyone came to acknowledge me or ask what I needed, despite two separate employees being within eyesight of me. Even after being acknowledged had to wait another 10 minutes for help despite the store having only 1 other customer being helped. Watched the person in line behind me ask for help with fixing a laptop, be given vague and cold advice, then leave and not come back. To top it all off, one of the cables I bought was defective straight out of the box. Thankfully they still offer replacements for opened, defective products, but at this point I am so frustrated with their store I do not want to go back.

Overall really good place and good prices. Customer service can be a bit iffy. For example I wanted to upgrade something I bought a day before which was unopened and the one I was upgrading to was quite a bit more money. The guy dealing with me went through the actions of charging me 15% restocking but I quickly talked him out of it. I like the price match feature. Their prices are generally excellent but their PM does allow you to enjoy further discounts. They get the business and everyone's happy. Loads of stores in BC also makes this my number one choice for computer components and electronics. I had to phone to get an RMA for a defective hard drive and waited a long time on the phone. Best to go in to a store, where they're very helpful and efficient. I concur with Thomas on OCZ products. They declined a few mail in rebates even though I followed the application instructions impeccibly. The OCZ person accused me of being the competition when I raised this on NCIX forum, although NCIX was pretty good about it and offered to help. I would never buy OCZ stuff again, but will happily deal with NCIX

To respective store owner[s]/Managers/Potential Clients: I normally do not post reviews, or have time to learn all of the computer jargon, and keep up to date to everything technical. However, I feel like it is imperative that i take the time to write a review about my customer experience i had on the phone with NCIX. I initially called the Surrey location, and it re-routed me over to Vancouver. I had the pleasant opportunity to talk to Russell Vo (Service Rep at the Vancouver Store). Russell Delivered the best customer service that I've experienced in a very long time. I shop around all the time, and have not received close to the service he has provided. He was extremely funny, professional and very informative when answering my barrage of questions. He did all of this in a respectable time frame and even got my product "lit" up within budget. He kept me updated along the way, and ensured satisfaction. Russell deserves a recognition for the fantastic service, and thank you NCIX for assisting. Best,

  • Kristine Cannon

I've never written a negative review before, but I've been trying to contact this store regularly (several times a day) in the last week to check about an in-store pickup. I've been put on hold EACH time, and eventually told I'd be receive a call back but never have. Impossible to contact by phone. The website is useless because it doesn't tell me which items are ready for pickup, and the web status hasn't been updated despite my receiving some partial pickup notices from the Store. The tracking number from UPS has said the items have been delivered but I have not received the new pickup notices from the store. Very frustrating. Items were marked as taking 2-3 days to deliver and it's been a week and I'm still waiting. Live chat support is friendly but unhelpful. Edit: Decided to just go into the physical store. The guys inside were SUPER helpful and helped me change my order so I can get parts that are in-stock. Amended by review rating from a 1 star to a 3 star.

  • Lei Jin

Bronson! Your exceptional next to none customer service has successfully refreshed my lowest expectation of what worst service can be. If you want to sell a 5.4k bundle pc say it out loud. If you are not happy with my pc build because you are not making enough money, say it out loud. Why are you lying about canada computer regulations on how they sell their product, why are other cc locations doing differently and you act surprised. I was willing to pay what you were upselling, accepting every regulation you have made up just because I wanted to get it over with and yet at the very last you still try to hold me off for two weeks for assembling??? You have all the item INSTOCK! Even when I clearly told you I am willing to pay your assembling fee but I will take the parts TODAY and assemble myself and you told me to pound sand and buy somewhere else Lol I guess I will.

  • Armando Pastorin

Absolutely outrageous. Ordered something last week, have yet to hear from them on any status update of the delivery (I'm picking up at the Vancouver Broadway location). After I made the purchase, an email quickly came telling me my payment was approved and such, but not to reply or contact them as they would send me another message to say my order is ready for pickup. Week has gone by with nothing so I called the 1-877 number to inquire. They tell me my order should be at the shop and that they'll transfer my call to them. Lost the call connection... twice. Thought it could be a technical issue, so I called the Broadway location directly and they hung up on me... twice! So they processed my money transaction in a flash and now are unreachable. Still have no idea where my order is. Great job guys! I'll be sure to tell everyone to stay well away.

Came in for a gaming monitor for my husband. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a staff member who offered to help us. We told him the exact model we were looking for and he was able to locate it in 1 second. He rang us through and the trip was quick and breezy and we walked out with the exact product we wanted without any fuss or hassle. We walked in at about 7pm on a Wednesday evening and it was great to have a staff member be readily available to help us as soon as we walked in. The website is very up to date on the stock of specific items so that you know the store you're visiting has what you want. This is great as we went out of our way to this specific store to get this specific monitor because the website said it was in stock at this location. Very happy with our trip to this store.

  • Daniel Maczko

The kind of company that is good during your initial experience but have zero accountability or customer service skills besides making that initial sale. I attempted to exchange a defective monitor they sold me as their website said if you brought it in they would send it back to the manufacturer for replacement. The employee said that this was no longer the case because of COVID, despite their website saying this service was in the context of additional COVID support they were supplying. When I pressed him a bit on this he just stared at me with a dumbfoundead expression and offered not attempt to help in any way. In the era of companies who realize the benefit of having friendly customer support and a reasonable return policy - avoid Canada Computers like the plague.

  • Illya Swan

- Horrible "race for product" practices without an ability to place an item on hold for even 20 minutes or purchase it over the phone. Rushed to the store twice already only to have a customer in front of me purchase the last item. All the 4-5 people behind me were also left empty handed. - No ability to place a backorder over the site or phone, forcing customers to come into the store and wait in line outside because of covid restrictions. - Unhelpful customer service representatives: every specific compatibility question is met with a reluctant "let me look it up" and coming back without a clear answer. I have not seen a proactive assistant once at this store. - No returns policy on most products even if the product has never been opened

  • L L

Worst customer service ever. I called in asking about Ethernet cables and the guy on the other line didn't want to let me know if they had the item, didn't want to let me know the price and kept insisting that this was a prank call and did not take me seriously. I know maybe the field of work you are in does not allow you to interact with the opposite sex-- ever, but just because a woman calls in asking for a product does not make it a prank call as hard as it may be for you to believe. It's 2018, get with the program. And maybe consider getting someone with actual customer service or even the minimal of human interaction skills to answer the phone would be a good start to a dying obselete business.

  • Simon Li

Even though there was an irate customer in front of me the web-orders, a staff member checked up on me waiting in line. I had gone in to the store not expecting much, because I had mistakenly ordered the wrong memory for my apple mac mini. Due to moving places, I had put off installation of the memory, so it has been 10 days past the 30 day return policy. Either-way, I explained my predicament and the employee promptly replied that she would make a one time exception given that I just wanted to exchange. This is great service. She went in the back, and I was on my merry way in much shorter time than expected. It is good to see that store staff still have the capabilities to make these exceptions.

  • Anthony Wong

I don't understand all of the negative reviews. I know they are a new location and the selection in-store could be better but the service and helpfulness of the staff were very good. I went in to pick up parts for a new PC build and they had most things in stock. I did check their inventory online first to make sure parts were available. Staff were quick and friendly to gather up my list of items and ring me out quickly. I even added myself to their loyalty program to accumulate points. Wish them all the best! Update: Looks like almost all of the bad reviews are from fake reviewers. How can all of these people have visited stores in Ontario, Illinois, North Carolina, etc.?

  • Luca Fusi

I thought to purchase a motherboard and CPU from here when I noticed a great sale. Unfortunately, if you're trying to purchase from a logged in account, the web site requires you to verify your phone number right at the point of checkout, and doesn't actually send an SMS out—so you can't buy. I contacted customer service about this, but by the time they had responded, the sale had ended and they were unwilling to price match the sale. More than that, they skipped over the whole issue where I wasn't able to place an order. If you're going to shop here you may as well do it in-store, as the web experience is way below standard—especially for an electronics retailer.

  • J Leung

Terrible customer service from several staff. Employees appear to have no emotions, and cannot look you in the eye. It is clear that the staff need to be trained to be actual salespeople instead of robots. Luckily there was one kind gentleman, who actually helped us. I have never been inclined to leave such a negative review online until now. This is actually one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. Visit Memory Express instead, or the NCIX in richmond for much better service. I will never be buying from this location again. If the atmosphere does not change, I am sure that this store's reputation will continue to spiral downwards

  • Joseph Liang

Used to be a nice store with big selection, but ever since the pandemic, prices have become absolutely absurd. For instance, the memory express across the street that is less than a 2-minute walk away sells 3000/6000 series cards for a few hundred dollars cheaper without requiring you to purchase a full system. For the cards this Canada Computor does sell, they're far above msrp, priced even higher than eBay scalpers. A GTX 1660 super was priced nearly 650 today and the 2060 was about 750. It's clear that Canada computors as a whole is taking advantage of the shortage and trying to leach as much value from customers as possible.

  • Danny Guo

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good location, decently-sized store, and inventory hold the latest products at competitive prices. NCIX as a company is one of the best places for computer hardware, I would highly recommend them for anyone building a PC. Last year, I built my Haswell-E system with their products, and purchased a GTX 780 earlier from them as well. Great place to volunteer too, for any students doing work experience (as I did.) Kim(berly), Tony, Edwin, and Russel were especially nice to work with, if you see them say hi for me! The rest of the staff were nice too but I didn't spend as much time with them sadly.

  • Kirsten Corrao

I've had great experiences at NCIX. I built my first PC last November and bought everything from NCIX. They checked over my list of hardware to make sure everything was compatible before I made the purchase. The PC didn't turn on properly after I had put it together, and the guys at NCIX helped me troubleshoot and found out it was a faulty motherboard (they tested every component for me in the process). It was great and timely customer service, and I wouldn't hesitate to build another PC with them! I've also made a couple of online orders there, and it's always been a quick process to pick them up in the store.

  • Jamie Milkovich

Don't expect quality service from the staff. Even thou I've spent close to $15,000+++ dollars in this store in little over a year... I still get poor service and nothing is ever in stock at this location. It's sad that Head Office doesn't even bother to look into how the ship is being run here. It pains me to have to go into this store as is almost my only option. Two of the tec' guys are pretty good but majority of the staff is ridiculous. I hope that they read this. I could go on with every problem I've had here (and it's well documented) but what's the point. NCIX really isn't gonna do anything about it.

  • Ian Hung

Thumbs up for the service! I purchased an Intel NUC 11 Extreme kit from Canada Computers online after discussing the contents of the kit with a reasonably knowledgeable service rep on site (albeit, the kit used SODIMM laptop sized ram and not standard DIMM desktop sized ram - but that is forgiven as I was able to parse through a printed breakdown provided by your service rep in detail). In general, Canada Computers offered the best price for the kit in comparison to other vendors nationally and also honoured a price change as well. Five stars for their patient staff and back office.

  • Katelin L

I would in a heartbeat recommend this NCIX location to anyone!! Their level of customer service is impeccable!! They were super (SUPER) helpful during the entire process and they were always there to assist and follow-up with any of my questions and requests. They definitely exceed my expectations of a business and I will definitely come back to them for future business! Jeff & Joshua were extremely helpful and responded in a very timely matter. Great job NCIX, you are all STARS!! :) Thanks again for the amazing level of service! :) There needs to be more businesses like this! :)

  • Benjamin Versteeg

I drove for 40 minutes to this location from work arriving at 530. Approached a representative and told him I wanted to buy a laptop. I new exactly the one I wanted, so there was no need to browse. Rep told me he was in the middle of helping another customer. So I waited for 45 mins. At 615 I was told to come back on Monday because they had to close up in 15 minutes which wouldn't leave them time to process my order. I was ready to pay ~$2000 on the spot for the laptop I waited for and wanted. Take your business elsewhere just to avoid being treated like garbage.

  • Shaela Fischer

I went in with a physically busted gaming headset, and the guys were super helpful and fixed it on the spot for me. All it took was a quick unscrewing and rescrewing with a tiny phillips head. Quite friendly and refreshing, especially since I'd gone into Memory Express across the street first and they were useless and made me feel like a thief by asking me to put my backpack behind the desk when I looked at other headsets for 30 seconds on my way out. Then had to wait to get it back 1 minute later. Long story short, these guys are much more friendly and helpful!

  • John Breeden

This is a recommendation for an outstanding employee named Joshua Tran. If the service in general is anything like the one we received over the Christmas break from Joshua, NCIX is a great place to buy a computer.Because of Joshua's outstanding service we are NCIX customers. He ensured we had the custom configurations we needed and if there were any oversights, he personally ensured our needs were met - to the extent of emailing user friendly instructions to add additional memory. Attentive service that shows NCIX is paying attention to it's customers needs.

  • Tom Chan

I ordered a number of items from NCIX online, however Julie from their Web Order area informed me that the MS Arc BT Mouse that I had ordered was no longer available but that a newer version was available. Once I "okayed" the order, she handled everything, ordering and mouse and handling payment processing. She also informed the designated pick-up store to hold my other items beyond the standard 5 day holding period. Julie also provided updates of when my mouse would arrive. She answered my emails promptly and was super nice to deal with. Thanks Julie.

  • Z.Ä.S

We requested a laptop for work/business and were suggested an MSI laptop by their salesperson. We weren't allowed to open the box to see the laptop so bought it, took it home for a day just to realize it's a strictly gaming laptop extremely uncomfortable to work with. Returned it 2 day later and were charged $380 restocking fee (%15 of the price)!!! I don't know how these folks wanna compete with other companies when they suggest and sell you a closed package based on your criteria and penalize you for trusting them. Extremely disappointed.

  • Renee J

The guys here are all so friendly and helpful - and not at all like many tech places who like to condescend to those of us who are technologically challenged. The person who really stood out though was Connor. He exemplifies impeccable customer service and is a solid human being. I bought an enclosure for my dead MacBook's hard drive so I could get all the data off it, and when I asked how to do it he not only patiently explained, but offered to do it for me. Above and beyond! Based on my experience, I highly recommend this NCIX.

  • Jason Newcomb

I bought just about everything to build a PC from this location. I dealt with Moore, Niraj and Eddie. No issues. Service was good and honest. Ran into a snag with my purchase of Windows 10 on USB. Product key was fine but the USB was not bootable. It was a bit of a complicated situation and they resolved in a reasonable amount of time. I'm seeing some people report bad service but I didn't find this. Remember: Customer service is a two way street. If you want good service, you have to be a good customer and vice versa.

The staffs are very friendly and gave me some helpful tips. Choices are quite good for gaming chairs, big computer screens and boxes of all types. I had an awesome experience with one of their staff there. He tried to get me the best deals and never made me pressured for time. Thank you so much for my experience here. I would surely recommend this place. I brought my dad here just last month and he said great service. Every time I need something, I would directly come to this place. Thank you again and God bless.

Was interested in a camera which they had not in stock but would be shipped once available. Contacted customer service to inquire about delivery times. Contact said product was discontinued. Website clearly states it will be shipped once available so they aren't lying per se, maybe they keep it up there for the old bait and switch. Bottom line, I cannot trust the information on their website and I will take my business somewhere else. In a saturated market, the buyer has lots of choice, just don't choose NCIX.

  • Nox Ian

This location is great! Eddy was a huge help with picking out my commuter gaming laptop. As a student gamer with future esports aspirations, I was looking for a laptop that would be relatively easy to carry, had the gaming performance I needed, and had great cooling performance. The staff here took the time to access my needs and provided me with the solution that suited me best. Don't mind the plethora of fake reviews for this location, they are complete nonsense. This place is the best shop around.

  • B S

Went in to buy a graphics card and they had several on the shelf. Was told I wasn't allowed to buy the $2800 card without buying at least another $1000 worth of stuff I don't need, and the message was delivered with some hostility by the sales associate. If scalping customers by forcing them to buy stuff they don't need and can't return, how does that make them any better than a straight scalper? It makes them worse, as that puts the kit well over what the card would cost from a scalper!!

  • David Ng

Looks like they took over the location of the former (and bankrupt) NCIX. Service was friendly and prompt. So far a positive beginning for this new company taking the plunge into the higher rent computing/electronics retail market. Some of their pricing mirrors that of the former NCIX, being able to beat out prices of other stores in Metro Vancouver and even online entities such as Amazon.ca. I cannot speak for their online order and fulfillment as I purchased items that were in stock.

  • Jesse Hawker

Friendly and knowledgeable service! We were served by a guy named Bronson and he was incredible. My girlfriend and I were shopping for a heavier duty laptop for her upcoming school program, and he was super patient and helpful, explained exactly what we need, and gave us some good, honest recommendations. We made the purchase right then and there (originally planning to hold off but we were pretty much sold). Just got home and booted it up and we're super happy with it. Thanks guys!

  • Justine Mae

I had a great experience at Canada Computers. Alex helped us a lot during the first day, and when we had to return the next day - due to an error on our end, measured the length of Ethernet we needed wrong - Bronson was a great help at doing our exchange! Great knowledge on computer components and a decent selection as well ranging from cases, peripherals, etc although graphics cards are solely online only. You can order for store pickup though from what I gather. Thanks a lot!

  • Ani Lopez

Horrible customer service. Cocky attitude. They seem to love waste your time asking to come back any other day because they are lazy enough to fix right there in the moment the mess they created. Complain to manager? Don't even bother, they don't care at all. I got the screen of my laptop replaced with a second hand one but they wanted to charge me the price of a new one. There were scratches and glue clearly visisble from a prety botched job but they insisted it was new, WTF!

  • Clovious Hoofus

These guys have gone to the dogs. Everything that shows "in stock" is actually in a wharehouse in Ontario. A small order came in three shipments! One took a week. They give you tracking numbers but no info as to what items are in which delivery. No one answers the phone, waited an hour for a call back last Friday. May as well choose a straight online retailer, at least they will ship faster with better communication. Last time shopping at ncix for this 15+ year customer.

  • Christopher Mark

Terrible servie, terrible warranty policy, impossible to reach. Purchased a keyboard from them, it malfunctioned after three months. It took me 2 days of calling to reach anyone (5 total phone calls) DURING store hours. Insane! Then, turns out they don't offer any warranty on peripherals over 1 month - DO NOT BUY PERIPHERALS here. At worst, get a price match somewhere else. I'm now having to ship my keyboard when I should have been able to take it in for a replacement.

  • Fares Jony

Ask for DAN or ZANE!! I been going to this location for years compared to other competitors and Dan & Zane are extremely friendly and helpful people. Only reason I bought 4 PC’s from there is because of these two great men. Dan & Zane helped me with many PC issues that are silly and helped me understand them by not making me look stupid when I asked a silly question (other competitors would roll their eyes when you encounter a silly issue and charge you).

  • Geoff “DefGeoff” Nahashon

Got my last work rig from here. Good service, did pretty well on price matching, and assembled the computer wonderfully. Only down side was turnaround time, but understandable given the parts list (water cooling and all). I Didn't get a walk through of the particulars, like I would have liked, or any options regarding fan placements. But they did a fine job with the water cooling - ensuring the least amount of dust could collect in the radiator.

  • Kim McCann

Inexpensive place for components. Staff are friendly and well informed about components for gaming rigs. Less so for any workstation or server grade hardware. Open on weekends, which works for my schedule. Phone ahead to confirm parts in stock. What is on the website ia frequently not up to date and more than a few times I have gone down for an 'in stock' item they didn't actually have and ended up having to go across town to another location.

  • Neo Dijorno

Back in the day when their Burnaby location was their only storefront it was so painful to shop at NCIX. They had the greatest prices but you would have to stand in a group of customers for hours just to have someone help you. Now that they have multiple locations, ironed out their customer service and offer ecommerce and pick up in store it's hard to shop anywhere else. This is a great example of a store that listens to their customer base.

  • Yukio K

I wanted to know the cost for repair/labour for the GPU for my alienware laptop. They made a mistake, took over 3 weeks to give me a quote. I spoke with the store manager Sean, and he was very helpful. He listened, understood and offered me an acceptable solution (discounts towards a new desktop). I was debating between repairing and building a new desktop so it worked out well. I am happy to deal with NCIX and recommend them.

  • Willem Toorenburgh

Great service, and a good place to ask questions and get help, and in general, the staff do their best to be friendly, and it shows. They can be a bit brusque at times when things get really busy, but must stress that I don't blame them at all, as this is a more complex job to work than most retail positions. You can expect to find what you need here, I suggest NCIX first to anyone in Vancouver who has computer related needs.

  • Yvan Sache

All the staff is super welcoming and efficient. At 6am for Boxing Day they all smile and are so helpful. Congrats for your hard work all time to advice so well and conjugate the best price with the best technology! A spécial dédicace to Neeraj who helped me so much with all my questions and for his precious advices that helped me to save money, to have excellent components for my son’s computer and for his great dedication!

  • Donnie Davidson

Knowledgeable staff but they seem to not show any emotion. I think they may only express feelings through emoticons. Line up across the store with only one robot helping while four other people were plugged into their own screens not helping. I don't appreciate the restocking fees for returns either. Though I am glad this place exists for information/service I am often frustrated by some of their methods of business.

  • Tyler Perka

Went in and a sales associate was very helpful in answering our questions and concerns for a new P.C. we wanted I think on it and came back a couple of months later and had the assistant manager helping us out - this guy was all about the pressure sales tactics which ultimately led us to head across the street to memory express and spend our money. Great selection and prices - just not a fan of the pressure sales

  • Cp

Wasted almost an hour just to pick-up an order. Staff couldn't find my order which is right in front of the checkout the whole time. They helped me bring it to my car when they left i checked the box ended up giving me the wrong thing. Good thing i checked what i got before i leave. Had to go back and wait again to get my order. This chinese dude who helped me looks like he hated his job and giving me attitude.

  • Andrew McCallister

abs negative experience. ordered a few components online more than one month ago, still waiting. Even eBay is faster. Went to local store to get help - just was bounced. The phone support line is joke - you getting robot saying "leave a message" and then it hangs up the phone immediately, you even can't leave a message. For this moment I feel myself robbed for $350. Filed complaint to Consumer Protection BC.

  • B W

Did my 1st custom build PC. Was kinda apprehensive. Russell helped me every step of the way. Asked me questions to determine what I needed vs what I wanted in terms of functionality & performance. I believe Russell helped me build the best computer for my price point. I would definitely recommend to anybody looking to buy / build a PC. Best customer experience I've received for buying electronics.

  • Oishi

I'm not sure where are all these friendly staff review came from. From what I've experienced they seems to hate the job. Is like "omg another customer, pls get out" that kinda look on their face. They even throw the stuff I'm paying for on the table. like wth does that ? I don't mind the looks on your face but please at least be gentle to our stuff. Once again we are the one who is paying for!!

  • chris greene

Store was a little tougher to find as I took the bus and the bus pulled me ahead roughly four blocks down the road a short walk back and I found it was able to get what I ordered online and 100% happy excellent store excellent location very friendly and very helpful staff I greatly recommend anyone looking for a good deal to come check out the store or to look through their inventory.

  • Vic Stapel

Replaced NCIX. Occasional good prices on IT stuff if that makes you a happy earthly shopper. Got a great Braun electric water proof travel shaver for 18 dollars that's working well for a year already. So no complaints. Service guys seem to be attentive. Choices are quite good for gaming chairs, big computer screens and boxes of all types with LED galore if that's your thing.

  • Avrom D

I've had a positive experience here. Office is right across the street, and I've had better deals here than other stores - prices are competitive. I have found the customer service is very good and all staff have been helpful with me. Sometimes they are busy, but they will always help once they can. I had a defective monitor and it was returned and exchanged without issue.

  • Allen S

Refused to do a price match with other Canada retailers(Memory Express, Amazon(SOLD AND SHIP BY AMAZON) etc..). Even tho they wrote it all down on their price policy("Canada Computers & Electronics will beat any Canadian authorized dealer’s current advertised price, fastest shipping method available by 10% of the difference"). Stay away from them and just go to ME instead.

  • Nicholas Retel

I was looking to build a gaming PC with little to no knowledge. I emailed an associate who works at the store with a budget, & my requirements. In less than a couple hours I got a email back with a list of parts and builds. It was everything I needed & met all of my requirements. One of the best experiences I've ever had making a purchase. Highly recommend!

  • Dan Maczko

Horrible customer service, horrible return policy, they'll say one thing on their website and when you go to the store it's a completely different policy. Bought my monitor off them which turned out to be defective and will be the last purchase I ever make from CC. Just a terrible experience, do not waste any of your time or money with this company.

  • Alan Warkentin

Staff is always willing to help, though the actual store front is small and oddly arranged. While prices may be a bit above other nearby computer stores (*cough atic cough*) the staff is far nicer, happier, and knowledgeable. If your a novice, newby, or just have a few questions this by far is the preferable place to go... You'll be glad you did!

  • Natalia Bar

Bought 2 smartphones from them (a year ago and now). Good price, attentive service, the devices work perfectly. I'd say the choice in tis category is too narrow. Also, I wanted to buy a flash-drive and an sd card during my last visit, but they were "out of stock".. Kind of weird for this kind of store. Anyway, overall experience is fine, solid 4.

  • Tyrone Pak

Bought my ready go gaming system from this location a couple of months ago and I have been completely satisfied with their service. Had a stick of RAM die on me and they ended up replacing both sticks with new ones.. I continue to make purchases for my set up from the Vancouver and Burnaby locations, and have experienced friendly staff at both.

  • Richard Jang

We purchased components from this location around one to two years ago. Zane and Neeraj addressed our needs and recommended what we needed. They considered price, brands, and necessity. We are very pleased with the computer to date, and this review is simply based on their recommendations as we haven't needed any warranty or repair service!

  • Павел Францен

Love this place! I've been there only once I ordered everything for pick up and one guy helped me with choosing a fan for my PC. The girl on a pick up service was so nice she even asked me if I need a taxi because I was getting home by bus with my new 2000$ PC only a case was 10.3kg. I built my PC and everything is perfect, never crushed!

  • Brad Bradley

I brought my computer in to be upgraded, and they rebuilt it, but i continued to have software issues, and they took the computer back several times, trying to find the issue with me. In the end we finally figured it out and they were very kind and lovely. Do recommend them, for sure. Theyre great. I learned a lot about computers hahaha

  • Rob

Clueless. Called them 4 times yesterday, each time I was answered by someone incompetent, I was trying to order a monitor from another store and they could not do it. You can hear them laughing and joking in the background like they are having a party. Please avoid this Broadway store, it’s managed by very unprofessional staff

  • Cameron Bessey

I am fond of this particular branch. It can be a bit hard to navigate sometimes due to clutter but the staff is very attentive and helpful. The prices are competitive for components and there is actually parking available behind the store most of the time. Be sure to check stock before you go as they sell out of popular items.

  • Lucas N

I came in the store with my dying computer, and Bronson, one of the tech in the store gave very good advice for a new SSD for my laptop (which was apparently the issue). He offered me to replace it in store directly to make sure it works well, and everything went great! :) Thanks again man! Merry christmas to you and the team

  • Jatinder Sidhu

So I call the store to ask about the correct RAM to upgrade my son’s PC. And I have to call a couple of times before I get beyond voicemail, and I speak to someone. They ask me to send an email, which I do. But there’s no response. Another email and perhaps a dozen calls - but now no-one answers the calls. Very poor service.

  • Jason WD

In the current climate of online retail dominating things it is great to be able to walk into a store and be greeted by friendly faces and neat rows of everything that you could want in terms of computer stuff. I bought something and took it back a week after to get a credit on something better and they were only too happy.

  • Michael Thibault

I've been going to NCIX Vancouver for nearly all of my tech needs (that is, anything and everything that I don't have to go to an Apple store for, since I use both PCs and Macs) for several years now. They have always been knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They're easily the best retailer for computer hardware in Canada.

  • Swagatron

WARNING* If you don’t know your stuff about pc parts they will take advantage of you and sell you old stock when u can get something newer and more powerful for the same price. If you know your stuff this place is great, how ever DONT go here to get advice or help buying pc parts. They ripped my younger brother off bad…

  • E C

Good place to buy your next computer or parts to upgrade your old one. The store works best if you order online and ship it to your home. The store can be helpful if you need help in ordering something or you can get free shipping to the store instead of your home. Prices are competitive but a bit high on some things.

  • Kenny Baker

I had a good experience last year, but a bad one this year. I think that if you are getting parts and can't wait for Amazon, they are the way to go. But there are better options on-line for any serious computer purchase. I tried to support local brick and mortar stores, but I don't think you need to use this one.

  • Fabio Franco

I bought a faulty water cooler from the West Broadway store and experienced terrible service. I had to pay an extra $50 to diagnose a newly purchased product that was broken. The technician was unprofessional and negligent, making the entire experience extremely frustrating. I do not recommend this store.

  • Brian Yoo

No wonder one of the best services for the people who need technical advices and eager to customize one's desktop. For brand-manufactured pc, best buy would be more preferred. But I was very impressed to receive a good customer service while I saw some critical comments below. Best to avoid the busy time

  • Ashraf Mohsen

Great selection of computer components and accessories. The staff are very helpful, efficient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Good deals are offered quite often. Before you spend your money at Amazon, check these guys out and keep it local. The website is great as well. Free parking behind the store.

  • supertouring1

Service was mediocre at best. I got passed to 2 other staff members before I got helped. The 2nd staff member who ended helping me was clearly not very keen or seemed to care much for the job I guess. I would have given them 3 stars were it not for the killer price I paid for a pair of hard drives.

  • Soner Kalayci

Well, they're closing now which is not a surprise, however a worker here was super helpful woth doing some magic with my order to allow me grab my stuff the same day from online order pick-up. Though if you think about it, it should've been the case in the first place... Well, to Amazon we flock!

  • Anderson Ofiyai

I wouldn't recommend ordering anything online from these people. I was wait listed on a product for over 40 days, and I still haven't received a refund 15 days after cancelation. The customer service is non existent, and when they do answer the phone or an email, they are no help at all.

  • joseph b

condescending staff who don't understand how manners and human interaction matter in customer service. took my money across the street to memoryexpress even though the product I bought was available at CC. do yourself a favour and give your money to the honest retailer across the street

  • Rodji

The highlight of this store was mostly the staff, they were very friendly and eager to help me out with finding the pc parts I asked for, like the Evangelion RTX 3080. Had good return policy, excellent pricing and the overall experience inside the store was decent. Highly recommended.

  • Kalen

They always make me use their hand sanitizer (which I don’t mind),but it always leaves a sticky and gross residue. Poor customer service as well. Went across the street to Memory Express, and way better service. Get some real hand sanitizer if your going to make your customers use it.

  • Jamie Dunlop

NCIX was once an excellent, knowledgeable place to stop and shop for computer components/electronics; now, with nearly half the store taken up by storage, it's basically just a place to pick up items purchased online. The website is still fine, though often not priced competitively.

  • Allen Tong

Waited in line for 10 mins or so while they were helping other people. A guy behind us was holding some things to purchase and another guy behind the counter ignored us and served the other guy without saying a word. Went across to memory express to buy my i9-9900k and mobo instead.

  • Carli Boisjolie

The staff were super helpful! I was looking for a specific product and bought the wrong thing initially, but was able to return it for the right product. They had to look for a while to find the product as it was in their overstock, but they did! Great service. Thanks!

  • Bobbie Bees

Used to be a good place to shop for computer parts and accessories. But fortunes have changed. The cashiers are long gone and now you have to stand in line for 10 minutes waiting for one of the salespeople to help some guy browsing every video card known to mankind.

  • Ren

Employee name chad, refuse to sell me a RTX gpu even thou my information was correct and I have received pick up notice from Canada computer. Management should look at employees from this location because they are reselling the gpu under the table to thier friends.

  • Taylor K

Excellent service - recommend coming in during mid-day to beat the after work rush. It seems like everyone who wants a good deal on electronics knows to come here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make this leaps and bounds better than Best-Buy, Futureshop, etc.

  • Yin Hindsight

Don't buy anything from their online store, they are not able to process an exchange in store if it is defective. Their staff was not helpful and refused to refund me. Their manager wasn't very forthcoming either and kept insisting I ressolve my issues online.

  • Victor Lopera

Real bad customer experience. I was working for a company that was ordering often at ncix as the accountant. We had our account blocked every week because we had a credit limit of 1500 $. We were buying for 25 k per year of computer stuffs.

  • Adam Dymitruk

If you want the best stuff for the least amount of money and still get a Canadian warranty, you won't find a better place. I've been buying all my computer equipment from them for 5 years or so. They don't carry fluff like Apple which just

  • Zachary Mullin

Really great store. Big selection, helpful staff, and nice prices. The only one bad thing is that there are not many products on display at the actual store front. That problem is easily solved by the website. Other than that, great store!

  • Glideform

Just wanted to say a big thanks to the guys at Ncix Vancouver and more specifically Russell. Just recently built a gaming PC here, even though I changed multiple parts throughout the process the whole experience was incredibly smooth and
