This establishment/business is more focus on taking out loans to pay for dental work instead of actually giving treatment or follow up care to the existing dental problem. The Dentist expressed i needed gum treatment and said Rosa will be in to explain the rest. When Rosa came in she expressed my gums were so bad it's surprising I have any teeth. Rosa proceeded to tell me my insurance will not cover the treatment and I need to take out a 30.000 loan and she can see if I qualify. Then she asked if I had good credit. My issue is why the Dentist himself didn't expressed this after a 3 minute exam. Also provide recommendations until I began treatment. I could do some home care to prevent any more additional problems. If my gums was in such bad condition why not prescribe antibiotics, a prescription mouthwash or recommend a different type of teeth brushing. I also followed up with my insurance and they said I only have preventive coverage, however my Dentist could submit a claim and see if the work could be approved. I have been asking for my Xrays completed at this office because I will follow-up with another Dentist to ensure everything this Assistant Rosa said was true and they have yet to send it to me. I will continue on my quest to ensure everything that was told to me is factual but not receiving my x rays, have me doubting the validity of my consultation outcome.

UPDATE: I found a GREAT DENTIST that removed the tooth and guess WHAT? No $6k in medication nor $5k in teeth work. I had no issues with my gums and my teeth were FINE! This dentist just wants money that’s it! HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! Please don’t bother going to this dentist if you want a serious dentist that’s not in it for just the money or how many patients they can see in a day. I get there and I was seen immediately by everyone but the dentist! Finally he comes in, checks my mouth for 30 seconds, made no eye contact nor asked me any questions. Walks out. Lady walks in and tells me that I need my tooth removed (which I knew) and that I need a bone graph worth $5k and $6k worth of medication?!?! WTH?!? Crazy! And get this. They don’t even clean your teeth. Heck the dentist doesn’t even spend enough time with a person to even do that. Let alone tell me that all my teeth are loose and that I have a horrible bacterial infection? I don’t understand how they figured all this out based on an x-ray and 30 seconds tops looking at my teeth. He told me I have gum disease based on my gums are not bright pink but darker because I’m Afro Latina and it’s hereditary! My gums don’t even bleed! Do not go to this dentist! You will be disappointed unless you like spending thousands of dollars like a sucker.

This is an ongoing situation and depending on the outcome today I will update this review. Went there yesterday for a cleaning and exam. I've been having some tooth sensitive and was aware I may have an infection. After a brief exam I was told by the assistant/nurse I guess that I would need work that my insurance does not cover to the tune of $3000 with 125 monthly payments. I thought that was strange since I have insurance provided by my union and extractions are free to members with prior authorization. I reached out to my insurance company and was told there was no prior authorization submitted on my behalf so I wonder if there was one even submitted. If that's the case this is bad business especially with costs being what they are for people in the medical profession trying to squeeze patients pockets and run their credit which is a hard inquiry. Like I said this is ongoing and once I speak with the dental office I will be back with an update. UPDATE UPDATE**** I spoke to Eliana today 1/4 and she did let me know a prior authorization has been sent. She also apologized for my experience and reassured me that I would be taken care of. Thank you Eliana for listening to me and for your professionalism and courtesy!

This dentist office is highly not recommended especially for the elderly.They are more interested in taking out a loan instead of going through the insurance that the patient is covered by. They take advantage of their elderly patients and mislead them with running their credit to charge the patient with whatever the total amount of credit is that is approved. Highly disrespectful and shameful. They scammed my dad with this credit loan and did not consult me seeing that I’m his caregiver and he is covered by his insurance for his medical issue. When we went there, the employee lied and said they put the claim through which they didn’t and she did not give me a copy of his current bill that I asked for. I contacted them several more times and they still didn’t put his claim through and continued to lie saying that they did. Meanwhile my dad got billed from the credit company already. Since no one from this office is willing to help we will be taking further legal actions necessary and will not be needing their services any longer. Also they gave him an electric toothbrush with missing parts and said they would contact us for a new one, we still haven’t head from them and it has been over a week now.

Came in for a checkup & cleaning today. This place spent more time trying to upsell a gum treatment than they actually spent on the cleaning. The most rushed cleaning I've ever gone thru & my teeth feel like nothing was done. The actual cleaning took about 7 mins & pretty much glossed over everything because I refused their unnecessary gum treatment. Wish I would've checked reviews before making an appt at this con place. Update 11/13/23: complained to the insurance, this office had me come back for another cleaning with a different hygienist. This cleaning took 9 mins long. After requesting my X-rays, pics, & notes be emailed to me, I found that they noted that I refused the fluoride treatment, which I did not. Both times I was not given fluoride treatment. Why have me come back a 2nd time if you're going to give me the same poor service that I complained about the 1st time. BEWARE!!!! Also note that all the positive reviews are from ppl with 1-3 reviews, while all the negative reviews are from ppl with several posts. Looks like a lot of fake reviews to me.

While it was easy to speak to someone on the phone and get an appointment scheduled in the same week, my experience in office was poor. Though, I did not experience any wait time for my appointment, none of the staff was welcoming and this was my first time visit. A “treatment plan coordinator” came and put her fingers in my mouth without explaining why and It just seemed invasive, and unnecessary. (No one spoke to me about a treatment plan afterwards even though the dentist mentioned I had to get a filling… )The dentist, barely spent three minutes with me after mumbling his name to introduce himself to me with his back turned. My cleaning went okay but afterwards it felt like the dental hygienist was trying to sell me a fluoride treatment more than recommend me something that I needed. The office is quite clean and seems to have up-to-date technology but I did not feel comfortable or cared for during my appointment at all.

After two recent dental visits, I can confidently recommend this dental clinic. The appointment process was swift and efficient, and I had no trouble arranging an appointment when I needed one. The staff is nice and efficient, and I appreciate their assurance while assisting with appointments. I really appreciate the doctors' and dental hygienists' kindness and cooperation with regard to my dental health and hygiene, especially when I want explanation and comprehension. Overall, I recommend that individuals visit this location for their dental health and hygiene. This location has met my demands for maintaining my oral health, and I am confident it will meet yours as well.

They do not care about the patients, except Rosa & Dolly (who's no longer there) but Rosa is the sweetest. Went in told them what I needed they looked in my mouth confirmed that I did Ned the things I told them about & then told me go find someone to do something about it. Like yall the dentist I thought I did fond someone but apparently not. Won't b returning to this office despite it being my dentist office for over the past 10 years... too many piss poor experiences with them in the past year and half

Dr. Myles Held made my appointment painless and worry free. He also touched on a concern I have had with my teeth that previous dentists have ignored/disregarded when I have brought it to their attention. He was meticulous with administering the analgesic, I felt no pain whatsoever and he asked me if I was okay and checked on my well-being. Anytime that I go to a dentist appointment, I will make sure to specify that I see Dr. Hild only. He is the best dentist at the canarsie location.

I love this place!! The WHOLE staff is beyond friendly in my opinion and I love them for making me feel so comfortable! You really see that they care about your teeth and getting you the help that you need is their top priority.They are also attentive when it comes to making sure you remember your appointments. Rosa is the financial coordinator and she will work with you and sit with you to help find solutions if your having financial troubles. Highly recommend.

Dr. Held lives up to his name, he's a great Dentist and I didn't feel a thing... he is taking care of my mouth and teeth with skill of his years and I can feel the knowledge of his experience. The staff is very welcoming and they make sure the patients are well prepped for the upcoming procedure. I felt at ease in the environment and all my procedures went very well. I will recommend to everyone!

All the staff here is so kind and polite. Both doctors I saw were extremely knowledgeable and intentional to give me results that I was happy with. Dr. Abed and Dr. Held were good in their own ways and so were their assistants. They’ve got a client out of me. Even though their office is out the way for me that level of attentiveness and courtesy can’t be found everywhere.

Everyone at this Dental Office was so nice and professional. Dr. Halden the dentist that does my fillings was excellent. He explained everything to me in detail and made me feel more comfortable . The assistant that assisted Dr Halden was so nice to me.

I had a great experience here. Everyone was kind and straightforward. They are really good at communicating. I appreciate how efficiently they run things. From reception right through to the dentist I was treated with dignity and professionalism.

It’s my first time at this dentist the experience was great what I expect from a dentist was the worst but Dr Held makes the experience very comfortable and welcome I would definitely recommend this dentist.

Dr. Held was very informative and collaborative. He told me all my options to fill in a chipped tooth that I’ve had for the better part of 20+ years. I loved the results and look forward to testing it soon.
