My FAVORITE bakery! This place has authentic French pastries (probably the closest to the croissants and baguettes I’ve had while in France). Saying goodbye to Cannelle when I moved out of LIC felt like a breakup... I’ve tried many of their pastries (including their Midnight passion, lemon tart, peach tart, red velvet, praline, tiramisu, brownie, and more) and they’re all delicious. My favorites are definitely their croissants- both the regular and chocolate are very good - the perfect balance of crunch, flakiness, and a soft buttery inside. They’re perfect with jam! (Note that the chocolate croissant does not have a TON of chocolate inside, it’s more on the minimal side.) Their baguettes are also amazing - the bread is perfect if you are looking for bread for your charcuterie platter. Since covid, there is also a large outdoor dining area available, although the indoor area is a good size. Miss this place so much, if you are lucky enough to live in the area (or are just visiting) it’s absolutely worth stopping by!

The best croissants offered in the neighborhood. Crispy on the outside. Soft, buttery, chewy, and beautifully layered on the inside. My favorite items to buy for takeout are: - Chocolate Croissant - Plain Croissant - Palmier - St. Honoré After buying one plain croissant from each bakery in Long Island City, Queens, my partner and I took one bite of all of them and decided on a clear winner right away. Since then, we have been so happy walking down the block on our way to treat ourselves as well as friends and family every now and again. Their cakes and tarts are pretty good. Although, I found the flan here to be quite unexpected with a thick gelatinous texture. After a little reheating, it was okay but still not the silky or light mouthfeel I am used to compared to other versions. Pictured: Almond Croissant with frangipane filling. It was flakey in the outside with a slight fudgey texture on the inside.

*Espresso 31 Decorated with silky espresso ganache, this cute little dome consisted of layers of sponge cake and milk chocolate mousse. When you cut the cake, some chocolate balls will ooze out of the center, giving it a crunchy texture. I bought a 4’ whole espresso cake ($24 only wow!) from them last time, and I could easily finish two slices in one sitting. Strongly recommend buying birthday cakes from them, it will certainly impress your guests. *Fraisier A classic French cake combining buttery sponge layers and butter cream. It was loaded with a hearty amount of fresh strawberries. Utterly decadent with its light and fluffy sponge cakes. *Brownie Not a fan of brownie, but it was quite fudge and infused with the richness of chocolate flavors.

Great store, the food was incredible. I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches. The store was super clean and extremely busy. Its a really popular store in Long Island City. I recommend going there for breakfast when you can. I must say that because it was a little busy and fast going, some of the servers behind the counter didn’t really have the best attitude or welcoming gesture. She rushed me and my sister as we were trying to order and decide. We asked a few questions, and they the server seemed annoyed, probably had a bad day. Other than that, my experience there was pretty good. If you’re looking for parking, I’d search the surrounding blocks, I’m not entire sure what it’ll be like around the store.

I have visited this cafe six times in the past two years and I’ve always been either too early or too late for the canelles. I was never the greatest fan of the dessert so I didn’t mind missing it but I enjoyed the quest nonetheless. Today as I passed by, I stopped dead in my tracks. I couldn’t believe they had rows and rows of canelles at 3pm! And now I understand why they sell out! These little darlings are complex and delightful. Sugary and crispy on the outside whilst soft and pudding-like on the inside- its an absolute dream (and a challenging feat indeed). I am grateful and honored to have experienced this wonderful delight. A true treat indeed

Surprisingly good neighborhood gem discovered in LIC! We stopped for pastries and bread, all were good quality. The almond croissant ($3.50) and the raspberry almond croissant ($4) were both filled with flavor and flaky. They have a dozen of flavor of macarons, several individuals cakes, pies, sandwiches on baguettes, etc. We also tried the rustic baguette ($2.75) which is a bit smaller than what you'd get elsewhere, the crust was excellent and the mie was airy. Only 6 clients at a time in the store, Canelle is mindful of mitigating Covid-19 spread.

Everything here is excellent. We love that it’s close to the waterfront and playgrounds for our kids, opens early, and the prices are good. Grab a croissant here and a coffee from Deploy and you are all set for a chaotic morning :). A jambon beurre sandwich here is $7.50, which is hard to come by these days in NY. My daughter loves the colorful display of macarons. The cannelle isn’t my favorite but everything else I’ve had here is great. They also have beautiful whole cakes, gelato, and coffee, though I haven’t tried them.

We are extremely into French pastries recently and our friends who live in LIC recommended us to try Cannelle. We visited on a Sunday around 5pm and it was too late so there were not many options left. We only got a croissant and a chocolate croissant. Both croissants were delicious, the layer of puff pastries was crispy and soft inside. However, there wasn’t a lot of chocolate filling inside, which was disappointing. We might give it a second try at an earlier time shortly.

Cannelle sells a lot of beautiful, tasty cakes. But my absolute favorite is their baguette. I really love the authentic, rough texture and toasted flavor. Ideal with a piece of French cheese! The best part is that Cannelle’s prices are very reasonable. You don’t pay more here than in your average supermarket but the quality is so much better. Take the very, take stroll in the park and enjoy some pastries in Cannelle... et voila... your perfect Sunday.

French bakery steps from the LIC ferry stop. Ate an apple turnover while i waited for friends to show up. Also offered - coffee etc, gelato. If you have a sweet tooth and if you are on your own or with a group, this is a fine spot. Youll be in and out quick, theres lots of variety, and the price per item is reasonable. Everything is single portioned. No indoor seating but theres a table inside, and a park outside is nearby as well.

Comfortable spot with some seating, a nice array of pastry and dessert, sandwiches, and coffee. I was a little disappointed that the coffee "to stay" is served in take out cups, and the plates are plastic - it negatively affects the experience of having a dessert and coffee. I'm sad that they don't make the sandwiches to order, nor do they pipe their choux pastry to order. That would make it a really special place!

Overall I would give their bread and pastries 4 stars. I tried croissants, praline crunch, pear tart, flan, and their baguette. I recommend croissant but the other pastries are just fine without anything special I’ll say. The flan had a really sticky texture which was kind of strange for me. However, they really should work on services... They showed no patient to customers.

This place is a fantastic patisserie with classis french pastries and desserts! Highly recommended as a pit stop when visiting Long Island City. Had the apple turnover , tiramisu, praline crunch, black forest cake, and more - they were all delicious and of high quality! Staff was nice and professional. I wish they had more spots are Manhattan!

Happy that there’s a French bakery nearby. I tried their Palmier and passion fruit flan this afternoon. The palmier was buttery, flaky, coated with crispy caramel - a really great pastry. For me, the passion fruit flan custard was a bit more like jelly instead of creamy texture. Both of them were tasty and the waitresses were friendly.

My family who lives around the corner frequent this place. Nice selection of fancy desserts and coffee drinks. If you get there early enough in the am, they also have a limited number of savory croissant sandwiches like egg and ham. The vegan sandwich is on quite hard/chewy bread tho. Few cute small tables. No dogs allowed!

Cute place with lots of options. The staff is nice and the bakery items are displayed nicely. There is indoor and outdoor seating here and it’s very clean. The pastries are served cold but some of them come in cute containers (they also have coffee). I would recommend going here to get a good variety of pastries.

Been going to this bakery store for years, loved their pastries and cakes. However yesterday I went there to get a cake to go. When I cut my cake into half, there is a hair inside the cake. You can see it clearly from the pic. Feel disgusting and disappointed I throw away the cake. Not sure I will go back again.

I ordered a cake and it was horrible! The cake was so dry and it was not layered right! It’s just cream, barely any cake! The cake used to be so soft now it’s like cardboard! Everything is so cheap quality now! Also, the workers aren’t the friendliest. I deserve a refund.I don’t recommend.

Popped over on the ferry --- got fresh baguettes. Choc croissant and pear tart. My tastebuds were in heaven. Friendly service. Great selection. Perfect textures and tastes !!! Enthusiastic 5 stars. Didn't get the king cake - but was excited to know it is available during carnivale season.

I’ve gotten sandwiches here a few times and today noticed a long brown hair sticking out of the sandwich. When I opened the bread I saw there were multiple hairs imbedded between the chicken and cheese. This is really disappointing to say the least and I will not be back.

  • Vanessa Paez

100% recommend! Every pastry at Cannelle’a is well balanced and thought out. The lemon tart is usually once of our favorites with the tiramisu. It is certainly a go place in our neighborhood when looking to celebrate any occasion or to satisfy our sweet tooth!

If I’m spending $35 on pastries, sandwiches, and drinks, don’t try to make me pay 85 cents for a cup of ice when the water you sell in the fridge is room temp. Honestly all of the items they sell here are mediocre and don’t taste

  • Gio P

Buy everything, it's all good. Their dessert selection is incredible and you will not be disappointed in your selections. So worth the money, and the time. Enjoy.

Everything you could want from a french bakery! The rugelach is a hidden gem, but the palmier and baguette are reliable mainstays. I'm glad i don't live closer to this place, or I'd have to size up …

This cafe is exactly like what you would get in France, (coming from a French) I would totally recommend this place is very high quality and if you want a good French breakfast come here!

Thank you so much for being open early! The coffee and baked goods are part of my times in your neighborhood! Thank you for all your hard work! It's delicious!

Love this area ! Going for years! the negative comments really does not do justice! Never seen an impolite staff yet , price is reasonable thank you so much!

  • Saule Agdauletova

The best almond croissant I've ever had. I respect no pets policy, however, I wish Cannelle allowed to make to go orders carrying a small dog in a bag.

  • Nomad Dika

Second time here, got the almond croissant this time, it is a bit too hard and crispy , would prefer it more soft, fluffy and flakey.

  • Steffi

The food is amazing!! Especially the Salmon Sandwich. The Moccachino is amazing too. We were there a few times, during our vacation.

  • Dalerjon Yuldoshev

Bought “Peach Tart” and “Raspberry almond croissant “ just delicious no words! Highly recommended!!! And good customer service.

  • Pedro Breton

Egg and cheese croissant was really good. Everything else looked very pretty. Will have to come back to try the sweets

  • Mona Liu

The food is alright, the service is one of the worst. The staff are as previously described racists. Audacious. More

A small tiny cup of orange juice cost $6, and they also need wider selections.
