I have been seeing Mark for a long time and have loved coming to Carrie l salon. I never feel like the appointment is rushed or that he’s in a hurry to get me out the door. I trust his judgment on my hair and I know he will always make my hair look and feel amazing. I also really like the colour application area. It’s quiet and while processing I can relax and read or play on my phone. Mark never pushes products on me and when I ask for product suggestions he gives good suggestions and also asks for my budget. He also always tells me what products he’s used for shampoo, conditioner, etc. The front staff are always amazing and helpful. From the minute I come in the door they greet me, take my coat, and offer me a beverage. I will definitely be back to see Mark and I want to check out some spa services as well. I’ve been going to Spencer for deep tissue massages for the last three months and I’m really impress with his service. I have a high pressure threshold than most spa places are able to deliver, but I prefer their relax setting over a sports or physio office. I felt like Spencer was able to achieve both because he is super professional, takes pride in his profession and is receptive to feedback throughout the appointment. I’ve just wrapped up my 5th(?) appointment with him and I like to think we’ve got a good rhythm going in terms of understanding how much pressure I can take in certain areas. I recommend giving Spencer a go if you're new to Carrie'l spa--he's super friendly and great to talk to, but always keep things professional. Thanks to my positive experiences with him, I'm also looking into other spa services at Carrie'l.

I had been visit Sinead for hair color and haircuts for years and I had always been extremely satisfied. And when I was walking on the street, I heard compliments on the beauty of my hair color every day. it's been a year since I moved to California, and the color that Sinead dyed my hair is still so beautiful and people still compliment my hair color. I had to go to a salon in California to cut my hair, but he couldn't cut my hair beautifully like what Sinead did. I regret every day why I don't have my professional hairdresser anymore. I have received numerous laser hair removal treatments here, primarily from Shanyn. Incredibly clean, pretty and positive experiences every time I visit. I started with a package for just the bikini area but since it worked so well, I have now been for facial and underarm laser hair removal sessions too. All technicians have been on time, very friendly and make sure the experience is as painless as it possibly can be. I have seen fantastic results and am now just going back for periodic maintenance treatments. Services are well worth the price! Very happy I chose Carrie’l for my treatments!

I received my first message at this salon. The RMT was professional and made me feel comfortable. I tried out some facial cupping/ messages due to TMJ which was unique and definitely assisted. That was one of the main reasons I choose this RMT. Unfortunately here were a few areas/items she concentrated on that I had not requested rather than others that I did. But the late night availability definitely is a plus at this salon. Again, the other staff members were fantastic and continue to go above and beyond at my appointments.

Amanda is amazing!! If you're looking for someone to cut your curly hair, she's the one. Great with assisting for new hair color choices. I've been trying other salons for 2.5 years to get a good cut after my old hair dresser moved. Highly recommend her! She also has great product knowledge! Had a wonderful experience as it was my 1st time here. Booked a consultation and hair stylist Mark listened and educated me on my future hair journey to keep it healthier. He had time to not only cut but give my hair a Deep conditioning treatment it so badly needed. Booked another appointment already! The products they have are next level! So glad I went!

Over the last 8+ years, I have enjoyed many experiences at Carrie'l and it's my go-to salon and spa in the downtown area. They treat their customers really well and their staff are very skilled and knowledgeable. They use very nice products and also sell products in their storefront so you can feel pampered at home in between services.

I am super happy with the results of my laser hair removal! My hair growth is reduced by probably 80-90% and is now super easy to manage. It is not pain free but Shanyn does a great job at managing any discomfort and working quickly. Absolutely worth it!
