First time selling some stuff here, great experience. 2nd time, horrific. No leeway for any change of mind. Plus they pay pennies compared to what you can get. Wouldn’t mind but shocking customer service and no interest in helping :( made one mistake, sold the wrong game and when I went back 10 minutes later to try and get it back they absolutely refused. My error I guess but really, 10 minutes later?? The game was still on the counter in front of me. So disappointing and pretty devastating error on my part. They offered to sell it back to me for $100 more then what they are going to pay for it (which hasn’t been paid yet mind). ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. So disappointed. A very expensive mistake but at least know not to do any business with them anymore :(
Will not use again. Sold laptops via online, quoted price was dropped post dropping off in store. For one of the laptops I can understand why they dropped the price and that would have been fine (even if it was $147 less - 59% less than quoted price). I asked them to consider more for the second laptop as it was higher spec than listed on their site. The offer was $50 (22%) less than the price offered for the lower spec laptop and no option for the higher quoted price as 'that was the price for that laptop'. Be warned.
Amazing service, were very patient with taking in my Chromecast, Kindle, Apple Watch which I had little time to use. Also very patient with swapping out various e-goods purchased from the store to avoid buyer's regret. The Magic Apple Keyboard worked like a charm with my iMac Mini, iPad Pro, and this new PC from CeX; good for basic 3D sculpting, animation pipeline skills, music rendering, VR. Thank you to all the staff at the CBD.
Finally, a great location for a CeX store in Brisbane that isn't on the outskirts of the city. Decent variety of media and hardware for a CeX store on the smaller side. If they still offer a direct deposit for items you are selling it's a great way to get rid of any unused electronics around the house with minimal hassle as you do not need to return to receive the money. Always a great store to quickly pop into on the lunch break.
Went to CeX to trade in my PS4. After they gave me a measly $70 credit, I had realised I accidentally left a disc in the console. When I came back to trade in more games, I asked about the disc. Not only did they not tell me anything in this period, they didn’t know where it went or what happened to it. They said they’d contact me and still haven’t heard back. Better off going to EB Games or selling on marketplace.
I had a problem with the controller I bought from another CEX store because of some technical issues they were having trouble with replacing it, but the man I dealt with not only rang the original store to sort out the problem but then rang his manager so I could get a replacement today instead of a week from now. He didn’t have to, but he wanted to make sure my experience Was a pleasant one.
Brought in 7 Xbox one and one x enhanced games and they only offered $6 in store credits what a joke could only get old 360 games in return so didn't even bother what a waist of time same with eb games they both lowball and sell there games for ridiculous …
Was going into JBHIFI yesterday and noticed this store. Went in for look and ended up getting a headset at a fraction of the price. The manager Sam helped me he was so knowledgeable and attentive. Great price and even better customer service. I’ll be back!
