My son gave his wife a surprise small (x12) family luncheon last week. I went in to speak to Celebrating about hire equipment, balloons and event support/ direction. I went across two weeks before the big day to sound out our options. I am in awe of this small family business. I spoke to the owner & I did time with a few staff members the day I went in to hire and pick up equipment, linen table cloths and napkins, etc ... Even this mans mother helped -> so I also got to see the son (the owner) display family affection. Celebrating is a real family business that cares at that basic family level. It is unusual to see this in today’s culture. The owner provided me with information and suggestion. He showed us some incredible photos of some of their event activity which also helped me select balloon colours and displays. I want to give a big shout out to celebrating for their guidance, for their suggestion and for the equipment we both hired and the foods bought. Our set up involved chair covers & sashes, linen table wear, and fine bone china and silver service. We ordered balloons and we even rented a pie warmer to keep the plates and the food hot as we plated up meals to stay hot and go out together. We lost table cloths, and still this company enabled us to return them. Helpful and guiding is our take. Thank you for your help. Thank you for the way you handled even our small family affair. It didn’t matter we were a small dinner party we felt as important as some of those grand affairs I am aware you do. I know of your work and of the charitable work you do. I am saddened that peculiar comments portray unkind remarks. I believe they do not speak truth and that they are competitors that seek to demise. Please kno your works speaks your truth ... it will hold up through time. And I thank you ... for your help, and for making Louise’s day a beautiful event. I’ll see you at the next family occasion. Stay strong ... stay positive ... you’re a beautiful people and business Lisa Leni ... Leni ... I think you tell lies. I went in and out of Celebrating, prices don’t change. A month later and they’re prices haven’t changed. You write in poor taste, your underlying cause is questionable. Shame on you.

I recently visited Celebrating for the first time to prepare for my wife's birthday party, and I must say, I was absolutely blown away! Not only was the shop extremely well-stocked with everything I needed, but the staff were also incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine "Welcome!" from the staff member at the entrance. I had a vague idea of what I was looking for, but the team at Celebrating went above and beyond to help me bring my vision to life. They listened to my ideas, made excellent suggestions, and even helped me pick out coordinating decorations and party supplies. Extremely disappointed in customer service. I ordered a balloon bouquet to brighten my son's lockdown birthday. A couple of days after ordering and paying I got a phone call saying what I had ordered was a group of deflated balloons and I was told they don't deliver to my area because I'm outside Sydney Metro (which I'm not). They wanted to charge me more than double what I had paid which I thought was too much. I asked if I could cancel the order but was told I couldn't and if I did I would be charged a cancellation fee. I told them I would get back to them. When revisiting the website, I noted that the description did say "inflated" (see attached photo) and there was no mention of delivery areas. Furthermore, there was nothing about cancelled orders on the site. In fact, there are no terms and conditions on the site at all which I believe is illegal for ecommerce stores in Australia. I rang the store back and explained, saying this was false advertising. At first they disputed that the description referred to inflated balloons and then told me they would check and get back to me. I later noticed a PayPal refund from the store. They didn't even have the decency to call me and let me know there would be no delivery of goods. But judging by some of the other reviews on here, it could have been far worse. I would not recommend this store AT ALL if you want to be guaranteed a delivery of the goods you've seen on the website and have ordered. What a shame that a business has such disregard for its customers. They aren't in the business of making your event special. They're in the business of making a fast buck, and too bad who gets disappointed or has their event ruined along the way.

Terrible Service. I placed an online order for decorations months before an event I was organising. I had to call and email the company to find out where my order was when it didn't arrive in the specified timeframe - even though I got confirmation of the order and they had charged me. When I finally got my order, every item was the incorrect product. Totally incorrect colours and couldn't be used for the event. When I rang to discuss a refund, they declined to refund or exchange because they said they had tried to contact me via phone and email - none of which there was any evidence of (no missed calls, no emails in junk folders). I challenged them on this as I had been the one trying to contact them repeatedly, why would I avoid their calls and emails...? Why did they not just reply to previous emails I had sent them? Apparently they used a different email account. I still have not found these emails from them. To make matters worse, apart from the decorations being the wrong size and colour, the products they sent me were a cheaper version of the ones I'd ordered. They apparently tried to give me the difference in price back but said the payment wouldn't go through... The last conversation I had was with a sales person, she told me I would be receiving a phone call from her manager to try and rectify my concerns. It has been over a month and I am still waiting for that phone call from the manager... I will never use this company again. Very disappointing.

Great range but staff always seem too busy, either dealing with multiple customers at once or putting one customer on hold on the phone while they help someone in store and while there I even saw one customer come to collect a balloon arrangement that wasn't even ready at the pick up time so she had to wait. None of these things are problems if you have spare time but I have 2 young kids so being stuck in a party shop for any longer than absolutely necessary is always a nightmare. 2nd problem is that their specified hours on Sundays are apparently WRONG! My husband had to return some tables and chairs we hired and he was there from 8.55am and waiting around till 9.30am and still no one had shown up. Again this wouldn't usually be such an issue but today is Father's Day and it's wasted his time and effort for nothing. So basically I do recommend Celebrating if you have spare time to wait around because they do have almost everything you need but avoid Sundays and just expect your trip to take longer than expected

This horrible company ruined my mothers 70th birthday - while she is in lockdown! On Saturday I placed an order for balloon delivery on Tuesday, the booking to her address went through the website ok, I wasn't pompted for any further delivery cost or timeframe notifications, I received a confirmation email on the day I ordered, my special request confirmed that it was for delivery on Tuesday, and the money was taken from my credit card on the Saturday. Then ON THE DAY THE DELIVERY WAS DUE I had a missed phonecall at 10:45 while I was at work and when I followed up the company at 4:30 to confirm delivery had occurred I was told that because it was to an area they said was outside of Metropolian Sydney the delivery could not take place until tomorrow and that I would be charged $80 or more additional delivery fee. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING IMPORTANT. They confirmed the order, and took my money, and then failed me on the day and wanted me to pay a surprise $80 delivery!

I was recommended this place by a friend. I purchased an edible image a few weeks ago which turned blue which was a bit strange. Decided to give them another go despite this happening. Ordered some cupcake toppers (edible images) some boxes etc. I was sick so organised for this to be delivered. I placed my order on Monday 19th March was told I would have the order Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Friday came, Day of the party and no order. I called to find out where it was and I got “we are trying to find the tracking number”. “It’s not our fault, it’s with a third party”. This did not help my situation at all. I had to present an unfinished birthday cake to a client who now will no longer do business with me because of it. Called this morning to get a refund and still no apology it was not our fault. Hopefully I get my refund. Will never ever ever use this company again. They might be cheap but the old saying goes you pay for quality.

Awful service, they did not bring our prepaid balloons saying that they “have gone to another customer by mistake”. We ordered balloons for my little daughter 10 year birthday. It was a very special party for her with her best friends coming over. I splashed a bit to make it beautiful, spent 2 hours to choose a supplier and paid $150 well in advance. I called to double check on the day of the party (Saturday) and was assured balloons will arrive on time. To my great surprise just 5 mins before the party started the driver arrived only to bring 2 balloons out of 52 ordered. He told he delivered OUR balloons to another customer who was not very happy about it at all (what a surprise). I had a call with the shop owner - he was polite but told that he could do nothing. How frustrating! If you want to make something special - you may want to look at different suppliers as these are neither reliable nor trustworthy.

Great service! We ordered 2 giant glitter filled balloons for our daughters iso 1st birthday. We had taken delivery and then disaster struck one of our balloons shortly after arrival. I call Buddy (the owner) and explained what had happened, he offered for me to come pick up a replacement same day but unfortunately I couldn't get there between nap times for the babies. So in the afternoon Buddy called me back and said he would personally deliver a replacement because good customer service meant everything to him. It really meant a lot to me since we are having such a hard time with the lockdowns etc, because a balloon is NOT just a balloon, its EVERYTHING when your kid is celebrating their 1st birthday in lockdown. a week later and the balloons are still bobbing around making the kids laugh, which is priceless in times like these, THANKYOU Buddy!! Will use these guys again for sure!

It is such a shame this place has received disappointing reviews. I have never ever experienced anything negative with service, products etc etc Me and my family have been using this company for years through birthdays 18ths 21st 50th and most recently my 30th! They were very accommodating and kept me up to date with where my order was at! I purchased 4 bouquets and brought my own megaloons to spell my name which they blew up for me and delivered to my venue when promised. Price was affordable too! I would recommend this place to family and friends. I was well looked after so no complaints on my end. I will continue to use their services for future special occasions. Thank you team for your hard work I really appreciate it and you made my special night even more amazing. Thank you!!

I placed an order for a ‘Get Well’ balloon bouquet late in the afternoon for next day delivery. Even though the delivery was running slightly behind schedule, I received a phone call from the company alerting me that they were only ten minutes from making the delivery. It was above and beyond my expectation of the company to contact to let me know where my delivery was. The staff member was bright, cheery, apologetic and was easy to communicate with. I was extremely impressed with the service. When I received a photo of the balloons from the recipient, I was blown away with the quality and size of the balloon bouquet. Absolutely fantastic quality and service. I would highly recommend this company and I will be using them again.

Do not hire from Celebrating. Customer service is atrocious and deceitful. Have contacted Fair Trading over a service we paid for that was faulty and management of Celebrating have given false accounts of this incident to Fair Trading. We hired out beer dispensing systems for our party that were faulty and were forced to hire from another company last minute to avoid wasting the $1000 worth of beer kegs we had purchased for our function. Have been told we will be called back, have had not one of these calls returned at all. Celebrating have put us through the worst experience in trying to obtain a refund and I could not stress for future potential clients to steer clear and use a different company.

I would like to thank the team at Celebrating events and entertainment for their attentiveness to our late request for Welcome home balloons for one of our Residents that is finally coming home after months long stay in hospital and rehab. Excellent customer service. Sameday delivery balloon for my daughter's birthday. I have been really frustrated when the party decorations have not been delivered for 2 weeks after ordering from bigw. I called celebrating, and they are very efficiently got it sorted out and will be delivered in the afternoon. I am confidently waiting for the balloons at home, without disappointing my girl during this hard time. I have been shopping at celebbrating for many years. Just call to place order, pay over the door, and it will be delivered! So easy. I would not be happier to recommend to everyone.

The worst service I have ever received. Firstly the delivery person leaves my order without having buzzed my doorbell or speaking to me. I then call them to tell them that they're missing a bouquet from my delivery. The lady said that she'd have the driver deliver it in the next few minutes. I then get a phone call from an indignant woman who tells me that the driver gave my order to another customer and that I should feel lucky that I got free delivery. She then says she can't refund anything until she speaks to her boss and that I should call them back. Horrible service.

Highly recommend Celebrating! Ordering online was super easy and the prices were so much better than any I could find online in Sydney. On the morning of the delivery I had to change the delivery address to a work place instead of home address - I called the Celebrating office only to find out the balloons were already out for delivery. But no worries at all, they changed the delivery address while they were on route, without any hassle at all. 20 minutes later the balloons were in my friend's office instead of flying away at her front door. I deal with Jo and the team at Celebrating multiple times per week and I can honestly say I am humbled by the level of customer service I receive. This team is so passionate about supporting their clients to create amazing work. They go above and beyond each and every time to make sure I have whatever I need to service my clients. The quality of their stock is fantastic and their balloon artist does everything possible to understand the mood of your event and translate it in her work. I would like to share the 5 star customer service I experienced with Buddy from Celebrating. He drove 20kms out of his way in peak hour to ensure my 4yr old niece and nephew got their delivery for their birthday. I missed some detail when placing the order and instead of highlighting my error, he kindly explained what went wrong and did everything he could to fix the issue. Celebrating balloons provided me with 10/10 service. I called this morning for Batman balloons for my 3 year old nephew. The man on the phone was so friendly he went above beyond. They were delivered within a couple of hours, looked spectacular and just made my nephews day. My sister said the man at the door was so friendly and helpful. Today i went in to purchase some items with my kids, Sayde served us and was so helpful. Turns out that my mother and Sayde went to school together when they were both 7 years old (and have not seen each other since). She said when she saw me it was like looking at my mother and she instantly knew who my mother was even though we had never met. Aside from a great range of products i left there feeling so loved by a woman i had never met ❤️

I have been coming back again and again for over seven years and have always been greeted with friendly, expert service. Nothing ever seems to difficult for their beautiful staff. I ordered online balloons for my sons birthday,after 3 weeks of follow up phone calls and no call back from anyone I got an email of cancelled order as they couldnt fulfill it 3 days before the party.Instead of giving me the run around and trying to hold on to my money be honest and tell me it was out of stock to give me a chance to find the items elsewhere.Now its been over 2 weeks and still no refund,will never use this business again.

DON'T EVER HIRE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Not worth the pain and trouble. Their equipment doesn't work, they are quick to take your money but not willing to reimburse you (even though the equipment you hired from them didn't work), their customer service is disgusting and they don't return phone calls or they simply hang up on you. Not even worth the one star, but it would let me leave a review without giving a star!

I had a terrible review up here and I am changing it because, after a horror experience with an employee, the boss made it right and I truly appreciate it. Truly. In the end their work was excellent and I would deal with them again. I did take off one star for the fact I was slightly traumatised by that employee’s insane behaviour but otherwise I can assure they do excellent work.

I have been getting balloons, party and cake supplies from Celebrating for ten years now. I am always impressed with the products I have purchased and customer service. The staff are always friendly and always willing to help with whatever I have needed. The balloons always last a long time and are always a massive hit with the kids. I would definitely recommend Celebrating!

I must emphasize that the service exhibited at this store was extremely poor. The goods are overpriced and the equipment hired from them was dysfunctional. I had hired the chocolate fondue machine for almost $200 but the machine wasn't working. Instructions provided by the staff were incorrect and we were blamed for it. When asked for a refund, they became frustrated at us.

I have personally used their services for more than 8 years for my children's Christenings and Birthdays, School Events and much more. All the services have been provided to cover our special occasion and exceeded expectations. Anyone that requires their event to be special, professional and reliable should rely on them. I highly recommend them for all your party needs.

I tried to support local business here but everytime I came here they charged me different price for same things. For example, they charged me double the price the second time I ordered set of balloons (this makes a difference when you order at least 10 balloons!). And other stuff they said is one price and different at other times. I don't appreciate being cheated.

Placed an order via telephone, $25 each for 2 helium filled foil balloons. Got proof of price on their website. I was overcharged $110. Then customer service representative began arguing with me, accusing me of lying and claimed the balloons were $35 each even though on website it clearly says $25. They ripped me off and we’re so rude. Never purchase from them.

They take your money and then lie and say the delivery driver delivered to the wrong address and refuse to refund you and scam you into paying extra. Can see a pattern happening from reading other reviews. Will be putting a complaint through fair trading on this fraudulent company.

I hired some props ( disco ball and VIP ropes) for my 40th birthday party and I found the staff were friendly and helpful. The shop has such a great range of products that I also managed to pick up other party items such as glasses, napkins serving plates while I was there.

Celebrating Rydalmere organised and arrange the hire and set up of our entire 160 person wedding in a paddock in Kangaroo Valley! Lighting, generators, toilets, 3 marquees, tables chairs and everything in between! Thank you for helping with our perfect day!

Large range of everything from costumes to cake decorating equipment and all manner of balloons. Lots of themes and branded stuff for kids and open all weekend. It doesn't look much from the outside but it is an Aladdin's Cave.

I requested a quote about 2 weeks ago but never heard back. Sent 2 follow up emails and I have also private messaged then on Instagram and still nothing. I think even 1 Star is too much for this waste of space “ business”.
