Spotlight has become my new favourite store, such a selection of doonas, pillows, sheets and pillowcases! Crockery, cutlery and stylish soft furnishings, a homemaker's delight! I parked my motorcycle in the parking lot for a day. The closing time of the parking lot is 5:10 p.m., but I went to the staff before 5:00 to pay 8 dollars for motorcycle parking, but was rejected by the staff who closed the door. He refused in a very bad tone and abused me for not paying the fee, and asked me to pay the parking fee of 23 dollars for the car. I think the service attitude is extremely poor and very unreasonable! It is very unfair to motorcycle riders if you have to pay the full fare for the car!

Not the largest shopping centre but it has some nice food, coffee, clothing and other shops. Not heaps of seating when you want to eat, but it's generally not too busy. Cleaners are pretty active and do a good job to keep the area clean. Jill definitely deserves a shoutout as she was working very hard to keep the tables clean. Went above and beyond for us by running to get us extra chairs for our table and being very helpful. I'd recommend trying out Shoebox Cafe. Very recently opened and the food was great.

Good place for gifts and shopping. Nice book store and the bodyshop has heaps of soaps, hair stuff and skin care products. There is an ABC shop here as well with a good DVD and blue ray selection. Food places not always open but plenty of choices nearby. Easy access to car parking and a well stocked newsagency. Don't expect all food options to be open on weekends. There is also a Laura Ashley store here with some quality clothes and house fittings.

  • James Constantine

What a dump! Give the place a makeover! There is nothing inviting about wanting to shop there. You run in and visit the few particular stores you have to and then you run out! Owners of Centrepoint, spend some money and give the place a revamp! It's an embarrassment! Especially if someone from Sydney came down and expected to find something similar to the one there.

Everything in one place. Not exactly. What you find is high quality, shoes and clothing stores such as Laura Ashley. If your after runners and gym wear then Rebel is the 'place' to go. A shoe to fit all sizes. Plenty of eateries, a bakery and atm's to assist you in your purchases. The arcade is opposite Myer with ease of access to the cat and fidfle arcade.

I had the privilege of selling daffodils, key rings etc for the Cancer Council in memory of a dear friend who recently passed away from cancer - I say privilege because NOT 1 person refused to come & have a look at our flowers etc while NOT everyone could buy something they were all quite happy to make a positive comment about us being there

  • Mimi

I've always preferred the atmosphere in this arcade to the iconic one opposite. Centrepoint doesn't have the selection that Cat & Fiddle has, but there are café s, bookshops and shoe shops that are worth a visit! It's never felt too crowded or loud, the layout just seems very nice despite the miniature size of the centre.

Loved it. Coming from Port Sorell/Devonport area, I had a ball shopping here. I was also impressed that the staff in most of the the shops asked me if I had checked in as I notice up here they are just letting people not bother. Well done for keeping us safe. Staff all very helpful and friendly.

I have an issue with my right arm and shoulder, but the car park here is great as I can reach without discomfort. Went to Island Optical and was very well looked after by all staff, very professional and friendly, a go to for your glasses and eye tests.

  • Roslyn Pallister

Love this newsagent in Centrepoint it is stocked with the most beautiful range for Christmas that i have ever seen and the staff /owners are very helpful polite and always willing to go the extra distance if you need it their range of cards excellent

  • Denise Toth

Had a buffet lunch which just meant as much as you could fit on one plate for 12 dollars which is cheap not much choice was mostly basic Chinese dishes and some salad friend had an omelet which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive which is a bit much

  • Georgia

It's tired and needs a facelift and more diverse shops more greenery something other than what it is its drab and lacking not enticing enough for a major centre make it fun and different where people want to spend time in not just pass through

  • Anita Abrami

Easy and convenient parking and close to everything, with plenty of choices. Great sit down eating area, with some lovely food outlets and rest rooms conveniently positioned... great pit stop after a shopping trip or to simply meet up

  • Ali Jamal

One of the Top Rated shopping Plaza in Hobart packed with renowned brands and Retail shops, like Intersports, book shop, bitcurious, micheal hills, news agents, Mytouch phone Nd Laptop Repairs and best food court area.

  • Peter Lawler

It's a shopping centre. With a car park behind it. Watch out for the rainfall if you go to leave across Murray Street, the front awning is known to be a little generous with its donations to the downpour....

  • AA ZZ

Main indoor shopping center of downtown Hobart. Nothing special in terms of stores, but likely the best place to go in downtown if it rains. Store directory on the website available in the top right menu.

  • Mark Hayden

Centrepoint is an excellent shopping mall it has all everything that you need including supermarkets food court and whatnot if your Hobart I would most definitely recommend to come here

  • DELORES SINGH

Centrepoint is a nice place to stop and get something to eat ..or to just wander through at leisure to see what bargains may be had at some of the beautiful shops that are there

  • Jhon Entrop

One of the best parent bathrooms in Hobart if you have a little one. Clean, spacious and perfect amenities. Shopping centre is clean and great events on a regular basis.

  • Carol Heard

In the heart of the city it offers heart parking and a multitude of shops to choose from, books, videos, designer clothes, sporting goods, food, great coffee and more!

  • Daniel T (Thetruckie)

The shopping building is outdated, small corridors and uncomfortable to navigate. In the Carpark you have to go all the way up to turn around. Rebuild the old thing.

  • Jonathon Sprott

To be honest, Centrepoint isn't as good as it was in its heyday in the 1980s/early 1990s but it's still a delight and is unquestionably the beating heart of Hobart.

  • Trevor Wehrman

The whole area has much to offer. The history, the buildings, the people, the street art and then there are the shops full of everything you need and then some.

  • Virtual Resident

Just like your any other shopping centres. The photos were taken outside which were more interesting, similar to the alley ways of Melbourne only smells better.

  • Glenn Styles

Nothing special, but if you need something and you're in town anyway, it will do the trick. Bit of a rabbit warren filled with hobart's undesirables really.

  • Lee-Anne Kendall

Great shopping , I didn't realise how much Hobart actually had it was fun walking through and just browsing ...lots of good smelling coffee as well …

  • Michelle Woods

Great place for shopping manny choices, good food options up stairs and down, can just go their to relax at a table with a coffee after a day of shopping.

  • Rachel D

Public holidays and Sundays a lot of stores are closed. It feels very Melbournish which some may like but I don't think it's something Hobart should copy.

  • Andrew

Looking sadly depressed and in need of some serious love. It's big sister across the road - Cat & Fiddle - makes Centrepoint look depressingly drab.

  • Kathi

My favourite place to shop, have lunch and browse, with easy parking. However, the Hobart Council has reduced free parking time to just one hour.

  • Maikyn Makoto

Great food and artisan gelato with very good service, a nice little collection of shops including the book shop Dymocks, excellent parenting room

  • mylo

Mostly this is just a small food court with a multi storey car park on top. You'll most likely walk through here on your way to something else.

  • Matt

Not a great range of shops but it is clean, tidy and easy to access. The car park here is my preferred place to park when visiting the city.

  • Peter Williams

Most of what you need is here,Clothing,Jewelry, Food Courts,Newsagent's ect, parking available,Disabled Access, all entrances,Clothing ect..

  • Joseph Russon

Awesome place to stop and have a coffee and some cake also the cleaners do an amazing job at keeping it up to standard ⭐ …

  • Alexander Quin

Very accessible but often dirty. I wonder how often the toilets are cleaned due to how often they are left in a horrible condition.

  • Judith Branson

Free parking & access to so many lovely shops. The Stocking Shop for example, Dymocks bookstore, florist & lovely coffee available.

  • Hobart Phillips

While smaller than the Cat & Fiddle and needing a revamp, Centrepoint still houses some of the more interesting stores in Hobart.

  • Judy Maplestone

Please support the cafes at lunchtime and or take home a meal too!!! I purchased a gift x2 and had time to stroll around!!!

  • Charles Johnston
