Chapel Allerton library is situated in what used to be the Chapel Allerton police station. It is a wonderful building, very historic and with high ceilings and a spacious feel. A few years ago I did try to to edit it a WordPress website using one of the computers but it wasn't possible to do it. There is a large children's section and a selection of newspapers to read.
The library is good but there are lots of creepy old men. There is an old grouch with long hair who doesn't mind his own business and wanders in and out of the library multiple times a day

Very efficient staff. Pity you couldn't go in to browse the shelves.
