"Wow"
"I came here for a drink after a day of work and to see how the spot was"
"Tasty drink but had to ask for a refill drink several times vs being tended to considering there were less than 10 people in the bar (not including kids)"
"We've been coming here for years as owners in the sister property Wild Oak Ranch"
"Great place for a business event! We hosted a small happy hour for our team and enjoyed a nice venue and fantastic service"
Wow...in one week, went to Charlie's Long Bar. Longest copper top Bar in TX and the Esquire Tavern, longest wooden bar in the world. Charlies, we went to have an appetizers and a drink. Impressive list of TX brews and the wings, OMG. We did half and half buffalo wings and chili-lime....heavenly taste....service, superb. We had Kyle primarily and he was outstanding...all the others that assisted tonight were excellent as well. If you get a chance go.
I came here for a drink after a day of work and to see how the spot was. It was about 4:30pm and the place was pretty empty, additionally they didn't have any happy hour specials! I was a little disappointed by that but the bartenders were all very friendly. I got a gin and soda and it ended up being about $8 which was a little expensive for the size of the glass. However overall it was a nice setting.
Tasty drink but had to ask for a refill drink several times vs being tended to considering there were less than 10 people in the bar (not including kids). Food service horrible when asked two of the four people behind bar for a condiment for our food and nothing came of it. Asst mgr Jason came by and checked on us and we requested the condiment and delivered in 2 minutes. Great guy!!!
We've been coming here for years as owners in the sister property Wild Oak Ranch. The menu has not changed in at least 12 years- needs an update. Portions are small with Austin prices. Drinks: expensive for the effort the bartenders put into making them. Often over run with children, treating the pool table like trash. Overall I hope for improvement or we'll go elsewhere.
Great place for a business event! We hosted a small happy hour for our team and enjoyed a nice venue and fantastic service. The staff was amazing and took great care of our group. The resort is beautiful, and the bar is great for a casual get-together. Highly recommended!
If this was a real bar that was open until 2, I'd give it five stars. BUT in the end, it's a hotel bar with hotel customers. The food was good, the drinks were great, but the atmosphere was tourists that need to get back to their rooms at 10 pm.
Pros: nice long bar to belly up to. Lots to do. Pool, darts, shuffle board, arcade games. Lots of drink options. Food comes quick! Lots of TVs for sports Cons: Hit or miss service. Kind of smells like the bar needs a deep clean
Had the pulled pork sandwich and was impressed by the quality and delicious taste of their in house bbq sauce. I guess I just came at a bad time but it was literally a ghost town. We were the only customers that night.
Friendly people, nice atmosphere. Food ok, burger was dry and they had to remake because order was wrong. Biggest issue was the $11 mule served in a short glass instead of copper mug. Travesty!
Nothing special about this bar. The western motif is classic tourist trap. The food is over priced hotel bar food. TVs were too loud and all on a different game.
We had a great waitress at 4:30 PM on July 27th which made our dining experience quite pleasent and my son quit enjoyed giving her a quick paleo lesson.
Very friendly and courteous staff. They have a nice pool table, shuffleboard and dart machine. We enjoyed hanging out here every night of our stay.
$24 dollar whisky doubles made for an expensive night but the pretzels and queso were tasty, other food was cold by time it got to table
The place gets crowded in the evening and everyone seems happy. The food is OK and the drinks are as expected from a Texas bar.
Excellent bar keepers and servers!
