Amazing place for a walk just enough for exercise and blow the cobwebs away in lockdown. Walk through the field up from the car park and as you go past the trees on left there is fantastic viewpoint. Carry on for a bit more then return back to car park. Look out for apple trees cherry trees and lots of amazing plants, shrubs and trees. No coffee or other facilities but a lovely walk.
As a local we call this the meadow.A short walk from the car park and you come across an amazing viewpoint of London from Canary Wharf to Crystal Palace.Nearby is a memorial for a spitfire pilot shot down in the second world war.
Beautiful field of yellow flowers. Looks like Broccolini flowers but could anyone tell me what they actually are.. so so beautiful.
Dog-friendliness
Absolutely good for dogs.
Just right for a walk with the dog. Good views across the top field over to London. A lovely memorial for a RAF pilot unfortunately killed in battle. R.I.P.
Fantastic open space for the kids to run around. Beautiful views. Dogs are running loose which isn't a problem unless your little ones are nervous of dogs.
On a clear day with binoculars you can see all of south east London from cine world in Bexley Heath to houses of parliament and also Bromley town centre.
Visited a memorial to John Hugh Mortimer Ellis to mark the site where his Hurricane crashed in 1940 and he lost his life
