It took me months to find Drs that are methodical when changing area's after 17 years . Myself and youngest daughter have a very complex medical history and sadly today I was told that this amazing GP service will no longer be bulk billing those on concession cards. The Government continues to allow those who struggle even more so with these type of changes . With every other price increase and with changes like this now people's health will be impacted. It is "hard to find"truly amazing Drs who actually care these days about their patients. I have had the pleasure for many years in the Western Suburbs and simply can't afford to travel over an hour to see him. I can't praise this GP surgery enough after dealing with 3 Drs here ,who were beyond anything I expected for myself and daughter . Dr. Katrina Reid just beautiful,compassionate and methodical for myself and Dr. Susanna Gong who was patient and absolutely amazing with my autistic young teenage daughter and the young man I seen today . I will miss this clinic. It's sad that we need to search for other professionals after such a long wait to find Drs that were beyond my expectations due to lack of bulk billing services for those who truly require it .

My sister is a senior citizen, lives alone in Cheltenham, Victoria, is vision impaired, fiercely independent and although she would not admit it, required medical attention. I live in Queensland and as her nearest living relative, could tell that she needed help. I discussed the situation with Francine and Jackie at CMC and through their invaluable and very professional assistance, organised a medical consultation with Dr Richard within 2 days with me and my sister in attendance. Scans and other tests were promptly arranged, medication adjusted and my sister allowed to get on with her life.There was more to it than that. But in short we dealt with a number of CMC staff - and all were caring, helpful and very professional. In this day and age; not all medical practices are equal. From our experience -CMC stands out from the rest! Thank you CMC. Ian Hobday

Injured myself on a Sunday and booked an appointment for Monday afternoon. Doctor was 45 minsutes late. Sent for an ultrasound on Tuesday. Heard nothing until I called them on Friday morning. Was told they had the results but the doctor had not looked at them. Requested a call back. Still nothing. Called again Friday afternoon... doctor still hadn't looked at them and wasn't available! I was following up because I was in pain... too bad if it was serious! Took until Monday to hear from the doctor AND I had to book a tele-health appointment at my cost! Doctor calls me and says, "How can I help you"... I almost hit the roof. There is more to this saga but in short, find another clinic. Especially after receptionist just called me to abruptly chase payment for the telehealth call even though I'd never received a bill in the first place.

A good GP is hard to find in 2023 so I shopped around. I called on Friday afternoon and was told clear instructions for how to book for Saturday. Guess what? Not only was I able to make an appointment, but I was told the exact time that it would commence. Jacqui at reception was clear with instructions on when the appointment would take place. I attended at 1245 on the dot as instructed just as Dr Daniel came out and asked for me by name. Are you kidding me? No waiting for hours? Treated as a human being for a change? His manner was exemplary and I felt truly cared for. This was an amazing experience as I rarely need health advice. They even bulk bill during the week. 5 stars for clear communication, excellent customer service and proper health care. Thank you.

I walked into the Surgery on a Sunday morning saying "tonsillitis". That was 10 years ago. I've seen every doctor including the doctors doing postgraduate for General Practice. Somehow or other when there is a problem you get to see a doctor even when you present with some strange problem and an ambulance has to be called.. I've dealt with all of the reception staff. Cheltenham Medical Centre is extremely busy and there could be times when staff could be "very direct" especially now with our managing the healthcare since the pandemic. I've been a patient there for 10 years and cannot for one moment agree with some of the negative comments I've read. My only regret is that we haven't been able to lure any of the postgraduates back permanently:-) Von

Wonderful clinic, the staff at front desk are so warm and lovely, I can't praise them enough for how great they always are , when my son and I come in for appointments. Dr Mitchell is amazing and takes the time to allow you to feel at ease and explains everything you need to know. He is also fantastic with children, my son adores him. Hands down the best family doctor. Dr Szymanski and Dr Reid are also equally amazing and knowledgeable, they are also extremely thorough and professional in thier approach. Dr.Leber is also extremely welcoming and immediately places ur mind at ease. If your looking for a medical clinic to visit this one is the best, and has all bases covered!

I'm reluctant to boast about my ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS DR.......BEST EVER !!! EVER !!! Because then she'll be booked out!!! However, these negative comments have spurred me to defend the practice because my own experience has been nothing but awesome, and I've been attending for 12 years now. The staff have been kind and friendly and when I cant see my DR., I have been more than happy with the others. There are a few really sweet ladies on reception, who have always been kind and caring, and they always seems to be doing the best that they can..... Coz lets face it... they work around sick people all day. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere else. Susan Ingram

I was quizzed over the phone as to what my issue was which I thought was odd by a rude receptionist then I paid $160 to see a doctor on a Sunday and was told to go and get scans and call them in a few days! After 3 phone calls I finally was told I needed to make another appointment after rushing to my 4.30 appointment I waited until 5.15 to go back to counter to ask was I next! I was told I still had 2 patients in front of me - I told them I was leaving and was asked if I would like to re schedule- to which I laughed and said no thanks! Don’t waste your time or money on this place!

Poor experience with the receptionist Sue who was highly unreasonable when trying to make an appointment for my mother. Please don't even bother trying to explain to the receptionist cause she kept saying my mother has a cough and they can't book her in. Her cough s due to her cancer and not due to covid.But I must say Dr Peter Mitchell is the best drs I have been to. Just lovely. I wish that everyone who worked there was as nice.. if I could give 5 stars for Dr Mitchell I would. But I give two stars for the constant arrogancy that is displayed with the receptionists.

So disappointing.Came in to this clinic today with my wife and first born for her first vaccinations , she’s 6 weeks old, happens to be a clinic that my wife has been visiting for over 15 years and the front end assistant , Vicky refused to let us wait in the clinic as we had no face masks, even though we informed her that we had legitimate reasons and an exemption from our GP which we were happy to provide. We have now opted to go elsewhere. We won’t be returning to this clinic or recommended it.

I’ve seen Dr Peter Mitchell & Dr Fiona Lai and they are both fantastic. Extremely helpful & friendly and call you as soon as they can with test results. They also bulk bill short follow up appointments how ever initial appointments are charged. I’ve found it easy to get appointments at the clinic and they’re rarely overcrowded or running too late. They can also do blood tests on site if required immediately and there’s a chemist across the road to pick up your scripts.

I went into the surgery today at 11.30am, had the most delightful doctor to care for me. Dr Daniel Phan is courteous, kind and gentle, so happy to have been his patient today. He discussed all details of my treatment process and was very helpful in seeing things another way. Very happy with the advice I was given, I am very happy to say what a welcome addition to the surgery. I would certainly recommend him to any other patient. 10/10 rating for this man.

Dr. Katrina Reid is my GP & is fantastic. Lovely person, listens to & genuinely caress. She has a great bedside manner. In her absence, I have also seen Dr Peter Mitchell on a few occasions. He is too a lovely person, who listens & is very thorough. Both are great GP’s who I’d highly recommend! Francine & Clelia (who both work on Reception) have always been warm people and most helpful to me, when others in Admin sometimes have not.

Both the Staff and Doctors at the Cheltenham medical Centre are absolutely incredible. l truly don't know where l'd be without their medical help, guidance and compassion. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at this clinic for well over a decade now. They haven't missed a trick and my family and myself are truly grateful to still be alive, ticking and well. I wouldn't be here without them. l am truly GRATEFUL.

We had an excellent experience at Cheltenham Medical Clinic recently getting our COVID vaccines. We were greeted at reception by a really friendly and efficient representative and the service was really professional from end to end - all the right precautions were in place in the waiting area and the appointment occurred on time, with the vaccination administered painlessly by a team of nurses. Highly recommend!

I have been going here since Dr Peter Mitchell arrived & at first I was uncertain but now they are pleasant, polite & professional. I meet their new team member Dr Ly & she explained what she was doing & why so that I could understand. I thought I was visiting Dr Mitchell. Excellent female doctor as too is Dr Reid. I feel a little bit worried before I arrived at medical center about vaccinations, but when I arrived, the receptionist called my name directly and correctly, and the doctor was so nice! I even did not feel any pain when I got the injection ,I feel so comfortable here. On my way back home, I feel the moon is so beautiful and I am safe now with the vaccine. Thank you!

I had been seeing Dr Ryszard Symanski at Cheltenham Medical Clinic for over 10 years while living in Cheltenham and I have continued seeing him for a further 19 years since moving to Dingley Village as I have been very happy with him as my GP. Having also seen other excellent doctors there occasionally, this clinic with its friendly staff has been great for me.

It is great to attend a Medical Practice where you are known by reception staff and a Doctor who cares and manages my health concerns with considerable knowledge and expertise and at the same time links the dots and shares experiences and empathy with you. The nursing staff are equally diligent and caring in their attention to my needs. xxx

Icouldnt recommends this clinic highly enough! Excellent clinic with welcoming and caring reception staff. They saw my sick newborn last minute which is rare for clinics these days. The doctors are absolutely fantastic. Dr Peter Mitchel explained everything in detail and his check up with my newborn was very gentle, caring and thorough.

Excellent, the girls at the front desk are beautiful. Extremely impressed with the measures they are taking during this pandemic. I was looked after with exteme care. I highly recommend if you are looking for a good doctor, as they have many. They take your blood cultures there, the woman that does it is so efficient, she is lovely. .

My kids and I have been to Cheltenham medical center for years in the past. We always have had nice experiences when visiting the clinic. The receptionists there are very friendly and sufficient. Dr Peter Mitchell is one of the most caring and supportive doctor we have come across. We couldn’t be more happier with the place.

First time visiting the centre with my 2 year old son who has always struggled with any hospital / doctors environment/ appointments always becoming extremely upset. Dr Daniel handled the situation perfectly to the point my son allowed him to check inside his mouth, ears and chest with a smile! So happy with his service

Very very helpful how the nurse or GP (her name is Courtney, I am not sure) handled my daughters, she was very gentle and successfully made my girls feel good and forget about the fear of needle, I was really very happy and grateful toward her. After reading all negative reviews I wasn't sure about going to this Medical Centre. But it is very close to my house and I decided to give it a try. Receptionist lady was very helpful and nice. She knows what she is doing and her customer service skills are excellent. Doctor Katrina is very nice and helpful as well.

Fantastic Experience! After an initial booking mistake (on my part) we were able to be seen for my sons Ear Ache. Dr. Peter Mitchell was fantastic. My kids loved him and he was very thourough and explained everything to us. Will definitely be using Cheltenham Medical Centre as our Family Doctors from now on.

Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Waiting times are normal for a busy practice. Desk girls very friendly. I have been a patient here since the practice opened and have never had reason to complain. Having seen several doctors over the years, I have found them all very helpful and friendly.

Everyone at the clinic is wonderful, the reception staff, nurses & doctors. They take the time to understand what you need & how they can help. The care and concern by the doctors is why this is my clinic; no rushing through appointments, very thorough investigation of complex issues.

A pleasure to visit this clinic, from the efficient reception staff to the caring doctors. I changed to this clinic and am so happy I did. They are interested and listen to their patients and you don't feel rushed like in the larger clinics.

I also agree that all the receptionists are lovely. Yes there was one who was abrupt and left you hanging on the phone for some times but she is long gone. Dr Jenkins is also my Doctor and he spends time explaining everything.

Friendly staffs, attending clients thoroughly. Clear and obvious signs on procedures of consultation. A bit longer waiting time, yet it is worthwile for professional, patient and kind advice afterwards.

The tele call in lieu of a Doctor visit was very good. Call was only a few minutes after the appointment time. Much better by phone when only a repeat prescription is required. Great time saving.

We have been attending Cheltenham Medical Centre for about 30 years now, continuing to see Dr Szymanski even after moving to Dingley Village 21 years ago because of his excellent service.

I made a booking for 8:30am , got to see Dr Szymanski at 9:10am so I am not sure why I had to wait 40mins ? Dr Szymanski was very helpful and resolved all the issues I had, happy days !!

Often a bit of a wait for Katrina but she is worth waiting for!! Katrina is the best doctor I’ve ever had. So kind, compassionate and never rushes you out when you need her time.

Travel a distance so I can continue to see Dr Mitchell as my primary GP, as he is so thorough and knowledgeable. Also seen Dr Reid once who is very personable and efficient.
