I'm new to blood sugar testing, so I took my lancing device with me to make sure I got the right lancets. I showed the device to the woman who served me, and she sold me what she must have thought was the right product. It wasn't, but when I went back a little later with the receipt to exchange it, she told me that I couldn't because I'd opened it. I pointed out that it was because of her mistake that I'd bought the wrong product and it therefore wasn't fair that I should be out of pocket buying the right one. She refused to accept responsibility, though. Not only that, she told me (and her manager) that I'd chosen that product myself after she'd shown me two different types. Putting it kindly, that was completely untrue. Then, just to make matters worse, the manager took her side. It seems to me that there's some real incompetence and attitude going on here. What should have been a simple matter (perhaps even with an apology to me for the mistake and for having wasted my time and petrol on the return visit...) turned into an argument and a drama. I'll certainly never be setting foot in this place again.
I was in the area for other business and dropped in to have a prescription fulfilled (I usually go to the Chemist Warehouse in Ringwood), and was advised that it would take 25 minutes before I could pick it up. No matter, I understand that things take time. However, I had to wait an hour before I could pick up my prescription. There was a line waiting to drop off scripts, and a line waiting to pick them up. Understaffed and over worked, everyone was waiting for about the same amount of time as myself (I kept on bumping into the same people who were also wandering the aisles to kill time). A task that would normally take me 10-15 minutes became an exercise for me to memorise the aisle layout of the store. If you have lots of time to spare, do consider visiting!
Last year 2020 in the middle of Covid disaster we desperately required Neo-Mercazole for our much loved cat who suffered from an over active thyroid. Our local vet prescribed the drug and wanted to charge us $84.00 for 100 tablets, I refused to pay the amount, I then requested the actual script, the receptionist became huffy and indicated If we wanted the script there will be a fee of $10.00, I made it perfectly clear that I was willing to pay the amount of $10.00..... I then took the script to Chemist Warehouse and I paid $16.50 for 100 tablets..... Wow we were taken aback...... Chemist Warehouse you’ve done it again.... Sadly our mush loved cat of 17 years had to be euthanised over Easter Week End. Chemist Warehouse staff are friendly and very knowledgeable
I have never ever experienced the wait time to have a script filled at a single other chemist. To regularly have to wait 45minutes or more just to have a script filled is beyond ridiculous! This has been an ongoing problem for many many months now. A very simple addition of another pharmacist to the staffing roster, would be an obvious way to solve the problem. Or perhaps they can’t get staff, due to the store now carrying such a bad reputation? Why is this wait time to have a script filled only an issue at this store? If other pharmacies do not have this constant, ongoing problem…. Why does this store? And why has it not been addressed?
The Chemist staff are continually arrogant and condescending, despite continually dispensing incorrectly and abdicate their responsibility for their mistakes onto the customer, rather than addressing their own inadequacy. Mistakes as simple as not dispensing the correct amount of medication are consistently pushed back on the customer as being their fault, despite that same customer having explained multiple times to the same staff members the amount that is required and when it should be dispensed; information that is clearly available in the script. Couldn't recommend less, each visit is an exercise in dread and frustration.
LITERALLY the worst chemist I have ever been to! Staff are so rude and every single time stuff up your order for prescription medication. Wait times are ridiculous and staff are rude and dismissive when you finally get to the counter. Today is the 4th month in a tow that they have stuffed up the medications and lied... telling me they aren't ordered through the app when they had been hours previously to avoid any issues... spent an hour in there trying to get them to sort out their mes up, finally left with the correct meds OVER AN HOUR LATER. Should be shut down
came in the other day and got some help from chloe, i am extremely disappointed in this store and her i came in and asked chloe for help as i’m a disabled man and can’t read or see things very well. she had an attitude with me the entire time for no reason and would look at me as if i wasn’t supposed to be talking to her. she was extremely unhelpful and would just just give me attitude every time i asked a question, it felt very unwelcoming being helped by her, she needs to learn proper customer service because this was an absolutely shocking experience
Pharmacist was rude and exasperated because my wife didn't know she had to provide her last name to get the prescription that THEY messaged us about. He then threw his hands in the air like we were getting in the way and should know our lines. Just because you've explained a process a 100 times to a 100 different customers throughout the day, doesn't mean the 101st customer wont need the same explanation. I've normally been quite happy with ChemWH customer service but this was so bad I had to double check the sign on the way out.
The “pharmacists” are absolutely useless. They take 20-45mins to fill prescriptions, never bother to call out names and tell you wrong information. My medicine is never dispensed correctly. I was so frustrated when they didn’t bother to inform me of my next day prescription pick up. These so called pharmacists are so incompetent and clearly don’t care about anyone having to wait a ridiculously long time for their medicine, no matter how sick they are. Don’t waste your time. Maybe stop hiring young children who can’t do their job.
Waited 35 minutes for prescription, when i asked the large guy at the pick-up counter if it was nearly ready he just stands and looks the the computer screen and doesn't come back to the counter, i asked him twice and then ended up going back to the other drop of counter to complain about this guy shouldn't be front of house or needs trained in customer service. Will be collecting my repeat prescriptions and taking them to discount chemist centre instead.
Very long wait times for prescriptions, and had a pharmacist recommend a product for insomnia which I discovered later to be homeopathy. The overwhelming consensus is that homeopathy has no discernable effect, largely because the mechanism (that water has memory, and that substances which cause a symptom can, in sub-molecular doses, alleviate those symptoms), is absurd. Had they told me it was homeopathic, I'd have spent my $20 or so on something else.
I came in yesterday to buy some perfume as a gift. I just wanted to commend your staff members for how patient and calm they were. There were quite a few customers in the perfume section wanting samples and to buy items and the 2 girls working in the section were run off their feet but remained calm, helpful and patient the entire time. It was fantastic to see and I hope this feedback gets passed on to those staff members.
Chemist Warehouse at Ferntree Gully is a wonderful store . Always plenty of room to park ,very helpful, knowledgeable staff who know their products and what to recommend . The pharmacists are always asking what other meds do you take before dispensing a new medication .Very competitive in price you won't buy perfume ,makeup or medical supplies cheaper anywhere . I would thoroughly recommend to family and friends .
This can be quite a busy chemist but I found the pharmacist guy stood out for being very knowledgeable and personable. I saw a bad review about wait times but they tell you at the outset what the estimated wait time is so you can simply go away and do other things and come back or they can text you when it is ready, I think this is fairly standard for all pharmacies! Wait time varies depending what time you go.
Yesterday evening I been to this chemist. I asked for help from a young male worker. He pointed at the medicine with his leg. Is that the right way to show to customers. We believe the drugs are kept in hygiene. But sorry to say NO. The same shoes he uses for the toilet. That means no hygiene. Before recruiting a sales person. Train him how to do customer service. Then I went to the priceline chemist. Thank.
I don't expect first class advice or service from a cut price store like this, but I also won't accept this level of incompetence and lack of professionalism. Especially when my family's health is at stake. I prefer my local chemist, whose credentials are hanging up on the wall for all to see, while the man himself obviously takes a genuine interest in his customers, regulars and otherwise. Just no.
Today I went in with a script emailed from our GP. This wasn't an issue with the staff, but they ended up calling the doctor themselves to sort it out. I probably wasn't the easiest customer to deal with, and with everything going on I can't imagine how hard it is for people to do work like this. But they where professional and really went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you for caring.
They have all sorts of products here ! I mean if you look at the shelves you will not only find things like bandits and balms, but down the back there is a whole section to buy prescription medicine. Don't get me wrong, you can buy unperscibed medicine too by wandering the ailes, but the good stuff it down the back. So come in and have a wander and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
This is my local chemist warehouse, but I avoid going here as I always experience a minimum wait of 20-30 minutes when filling a prescription. I understand that short staffing is a problem across a number of industries, but today I waited 40 MINUTES only to be told they didn’t have the medication I needed in stock… why did it take 40 minutes to tell me this?!
I’ve been on monthly medication for most of my life, so I’ve dealt with a lot of pharmacy staff. Rachael was the nicest and sincerest I’ve dealt with. It came down to a simple saying she said after my purchase.. “Take care of yourself”..It’s amazing what little things like that can do for people like me that don’t hear that a lot. Thank you Rachael.
if you order online, get ready for cancellations Cause they will tell ur delivery driver go to the back, And the back will say to go the front when finally finish queue, and they will say no record, ask for phone Number my ash. Cancellation triggered. Trash staff. unprofashional, Worst than fast food staffs. Unbelievable. Never going there again.
Absolutely awful, they loose scripts, mess up your medication, even if you order through the app, I spent over an hour trying to get the right prescribed medications and still left with not everything I had ordered... pharmacy staff are super rude. It's worth driving to another chemist even though this is the closest. Very dissappointed
Very distracting and confusung set-up. Excess visual price tags displayed next to each other. Same product. You get informed at least 3-4 times for one item. Too excesuve and distracting for the shopper. I does not encourage mre shopping. Put me off. I left, went to a private, small, non franchised Chemist. Got what I wanted, same cost.
Do not go to this Chemist for Pharmacist advice. They are a discount seller with no customer service. Your local friendly pharmacist is the best way to get advice. I was forced to go here for it was late at night they were open but that's about it. I was not able to speak to the Pharmacist on duty despite asking for some specific help.
Ok, I get you're slightly cheaper. But so too is your customer service. Wait to pick up script, gives lady infront of me lots of time-consuming medical advice, sees me still waiting inline for some time, serves someone else. I'm sure you're qualified, but you can't be that silly and disrespectful? Front of house staff are fine.
Dont know what the other pharmacists are like during the week but the one that works saturday mornings at this chemist is rude, unhelpful and cracking a smile is a obviously beyond her. Her name is Haydn. Lost my businesses cause of her. Rather travel an extra 25 mins to the next chemist warehouse rather then be treated rudely.
Awful. The male pharmacist with the glasses is so rude and refused to serve me. Told me he couldn't serve me because it'll take "half an hour" and he doesn't have time to serve me. Fair enough, so I came back just before close time to try again and the same pharmacist ignored me and served the person behind me in the queue.
Overall, not too bad. They are there to sell discount pharmaceutical goods, so we should suppose that's what we will get. Because people know it is cheaper, they flock to it, making it harder to park most of the time, so we have to expect some delays some times, whether it be parking or prescriptions.
Pharmacists large asian man was so rude, unprofessional and i asked him a question regarding prescription which he rudely replied and didnt even gave me right answer. Young boy at checkout gave me better information than that Pharmacists in white coat. Definitely never coming back here.
They seem to not process scripts in order. I have never had a script take less than 20mins to process. Meanwhile, unwell people are subjected to tight aisles where kids cough all over other people. Rock and pop music is blaring while people sit with migraines. No compassion at all!!!!
This is a very popular chemist in the area, so it does get busy, but scripts are usually filled with 10mins. Aldi 30 meters away to kill the waiting time. Pharmacists all seem very nice and very helpful. Shop assistants helpful but could be more present at checkout during busy times.
Terrible customer service, was told 20 minute wait time after dropping off script, 30 minutes later I enquired and it was still sitting in the queue, clearly I was forgotten, another ten minutes wait. Not the first time at this store, very unorganised, won't be shopping here again
Just had surgery and made us wait 45mins for script and would not rush it even though we told them I just had surgery and was in a lot of pain. Terrible service with no compassion at all. Update - manager contacted me and resolved issue very professionally and quickly.
Great Staff, was incredibly helpful and quick at finding everything I needed! The prices are great and store is not as overbearingly big like other ones, I feel like I can actually find products in this store, I will be shopping at this CWH store from now on!
They were the only Chemist that had my medication in stock. Staff so very very friendly and helpfull. Felt safe with all the social distancing. Also helped me with off the shelf medication, the Pharmacist was so nice and helpful. Thankyou so very much
I saw a customer visibly upset by the was she was treated and patronised by the ‘owner’ today regarding a faulty product that was purchased over the weekend. He was so rude and extremely unhelpful, he even walked away on her mid sentence.
Walk in show a photo of a brand of Maternity pads my wife needs, as I have know idea what or where I'm looking for, staff to busy talking with them selves points to isle one down there and goes back to talking, very poor customer service
I would give 0 stars if it was possible. The service from the pharmacy staff is appalling. While I am all for pharmacies ensuring they do their due diligence to maintain safety, the unprofessional manner in which they have gone about
Really great service!! So easy to park..bonus that its close to Aldi. I had a female pharmacist that was not only lovely and kind but she helped explain things to me. Will certainly keep going! Best pharmacy in the whole area!
Pharmacist Ting/Tang was extremely rude, refusing to dispense my escript, and snickering to coworkers as I walked away. Disgusting attitude for a healthcare professional. I won't be back to the Ferntree Gully store again.
Chemist's are always helpful. Support staff are sometimes a bit thin on the ground, but ALWAYS helpful and friendly. This place can be extremely busy at times, and not always when you expect it.
My local but I try to do necessary chemist shopping at other locations due to how SLOW these guys are at dispensing- doesn’t matter what time I go there- avoid if you value your time
Slow but once they get around to helping you good service. Not once have they messed up my perscription and if they don't have a product they will gladly send you to another store
There was about a 15min wait for scripts but staff were friendly but could work on the slightly judgemental faces they showed when my friend was getting the specific script
Just letting you about your staff members how professional the are special mention to Lisa. Rachel. And Alexandrea beyond expectations thanking you peter ordner
Great little chemist with quite a good variety considering the small size. Everything that you need or that you could want for a chemist at very good prices.
Chemist was really rude and uncaring about people and prices, will not ever go there again especially when Chemist in ferntree gully has same price …
Cramped spaces/isles crammed with 99% unneeded products just driving pointless spending which goes towards ensuring the rich get all the money.
All chemist warehouses are the same waiting time for scripts varie only went there for polident and mouthwash as i was close by
Handy location. Isles are close together. Parking tough with aldi next door at times. A long wait for scripts. Cheap prices.
Staff are helpful. It is in a good location but the store itself is small and very cramped so hard to move through at times.
Great range of pharmacy products plus prescriptions dispensed quickly your one stop shop so to speak .. Plenty of parking.
Something is up with the way they run things here… I’ve never got my script in under 30 minutes even when it’s quiet :(
OPEN 7 DAYS, 8am-9pm, STOCK WITH A VERY LARGE RANGE OF PRODUCTS & DISCOUNT PRESCRIPTIONS, UP TO 50% OFF PRESCRIPTIONS.
Always been very busy when I go in, the staff have always been friendly though, you just have to have some patience.
Always friendly and willing to offer a receipt with every purchase.Handy when you are dealing with clients money
I had such a lovely lady help me with the perfumes today. I think her name was Jayde. So accommodating and kind!
takes 5000 years to get my script filled , everyone who works there looks like they wished they were dead ♥️
I’ve been going to this chemist since it opened, and have never had any bad experience. Totally opposite.
they must be doing something wrong, I have seen busy chemists, but I never waited long as this one.
Made me wait 45 minutes to tell me my script was out of stock. A complete joke and very rude staff
Bad experience at check out. Inexperienced young staff, not very good at dealing with customers.
Got some behind counter medicine. Everything went smoothly. Cashier girl was nice and friendly.
Good place, plenty of ways to save money and the prescription service is usually fairly quick.
I'd give zero stars if it were possible. Pharmacist does not care whatsoever. Go elsewhere.
I always get good service at chemist warehouse, they're always busy but make time for you.
Nice clean store with great customer service. Would you like Vitamins with your order?
Excellent. I strongly recommend this CW branch. Great staff. A pleasure to go there.
It's a bit crowded and hard to find stuff. Got what we needed age prices are ok.
Waited 3/4 hour for a prescription...the store was not busy...shocking service.
Large Asian chemist very rude, will take prescriptions elsewhere from now on
Cheap, but I wouldn't go here for advice and expect delay during peak timed
It's the same as everywhere else. 2 stars because they are not friendly
Cheap products, the small car park is always packed during peak times.
Incompetent staff behind prescription counter... Avoid this store!!
Look- go to your local chemist, you’ll get treated with respect.
It's a chemist! It's pretty comprehensive. Jbhifi like confusion
You get what you paid for... cheap prices and bad services
Great prices on scripts and a whole range of chemist items
Cheap and nice range. Not as big as other branches though.
Will not go there ever again staff are arrogant and rude.
All medicines are available at great price under 1 roof.
