So, I purchased a Cube Attain Race from a shop in Plymouth (it was the only place that had what I wanted). Anyway, after one ride the front derailleur stopped slanging to the larger cog. Not wanting to send the bike all the way back and thinking the issue was easy to resolve (after becoming an expert following a short YouTube video) I felt this would be something I could repair. I made a complete mess of it so the retailer asked me to see my LBS and they could cover the cost. I did not tell Chevin this and was greeted on the phone by a gentleman called Paul who was very helpful and said bring it over and he would take a look for me. Paul was very knowledgeable and repaired my bike in no time explaining each step and telling what not to touch in the future. Upon completion I asked what I owed for the repair. Paul was so kind and insisted I didn't pay as it was a quick job and I had clearly made some mistakes trying to repair myself. Before visiting Chevin today I was feeling really down as things haven't gone my way recently. However Paul has really made my day. My new bike will certainly be coming here for a service in the future. Thank you Paul, although this was small for you it was huge for me.

I recently purchased new MTB from Chevin Cycles Otley. Ian and the team immediately made me feel relaxed and comfortable when placing the order, a bit of casual banter and some really solid advice from Ian and the bike was ordered. I am sure I was a pain to listen/deal with but the guys were always extremely polite and very helpful with any enquiries I had. A few days before I collected my pride and joy I dropped off some tyres and tubeless valves and asked if the guys would mind fitting them to my bike when it arrived, it was no problem at all and they made me feel like it was too! When I collected my bike I had asked if the guys could possibly have it ready a bit sooner than originally estimated as I had arranged to meet a friend for a ride at Gisburn and wanted to ideally collect it on the way there. The guys absolutely smashed it! I realise how difficult this will have been as they were extremely busy on the day and could have easily said no, however they didn’t and in the process made me feel very valued as a customer. To close, Chevin Cycles have got a customer for life! My bike will be returning here for regular services and I will be back for MTB accessories. Keep up the great work guys!

I spoke with Dave about a Trek Domane that i had seen at another shop chain and asked if they had one in and if they would match the price. Dave checked their system and imformed me that they did have one in at another one of their stores. He took my details and called back later that day to comfirm the price and told me the bike would be in the Otley store the next day for me to look at. Called in after worked checked the bike over and collected it at the weekend! Dave was'nt at work that day but had left all the details of the deal on the system, Kevin did the hand over. The bike feels great and will be back when i am ready for a new summer bike. Chevin cycles at Otley have always given me great service when repairing/servicing my bikes, sometimes sortingbissues at short notice thats why i really wanted to buy from this shop, well run, great staff and very highky recommended...thanks all

Absolute top notch service from start to finish with these guys Came in just browsing, having seen a Cannondale gravel bike on their website. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly and proceeded to help with bunches of friendly information, even got the bike out and let me try it out for size. So nice that I came right back the next day to buy it! Served by another member of their team this time, also incredibly friendly and helpful, patient with all my questions and knowledgable when it came to helmets, locks, shoes, everything I needed to get going with my new bike. They had it ready to go that same day, even though I said no rush, they insisted on getting it ready for me asap. Amazing staff and store, look forward to coming back many times in the future

Really great service. I was a little anxious about buying my first road bike but the service here made it easy. Took two trips here to make sure I was the right fit and helped explain the geometry to ensure the bike met my needs and to a budget which suited me. The sales rep did not try to upsell anything I didn't need and was happy to reccomennd a bike which was cheaper as it suited me more. Social distancing was taken very seriously but I was able to test ride several bike fits and sizes and there was no obligation to buy. This experience has given me great confidence in Chevin cycles and I will be returning back. Looking forward to getting out there on the road with my new bike and getting used to dropped handle bars. Fantastic shop. I came in desperate for help with my chain skipping when in the small ring on my road bike. The mechanic was incredibly busy and had a million things on his mind but he could see how desperate I was and spent a good 10-15 minutes of his time helping diagnose the issue. He, like me, thought everything looked good on the surface. After watching me make the skip occur outside the shop on the bike he could see it was clearly the chainring needing replacement. They unfortunately didn't have the part to hand (an old 10 speed groupset), but I have since ordered it online and it has solved the issue! Despite insisting the mechanic refused to take any payment for his time. Cannot recommend this shop enough.

Just collected my new trek bike from the Harrogate store. I just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff team for the friendly and helpful support that they provided me throughout. Due to the current difficulties of obtaining bikes I had to wait several months for my bike to arrive. However I was very impressed that the staff contacted me on a regular basis to keep me informed of the progress of my bike. On collecting my bike the staff took the time to explain the features on the bike and provided several useful tips on how to maintain it. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. I would certainly recommend Chevin cycles for your cycling needs

We use Chevin cycles exclusively now. They're the only bike shop in Leeds that don't treat you like you've walked in with three eyebrows if you bring them a peculiar or challenging issue. Most mechanics hear that you tried to fix it yourself and their first reaction is 'oh dear'... Chevin Cycles instead are incredibly receptive and helpful. They will give you tips instead, on how to do it better. I also never feel like I took my bike for a service and ended up with too much work done on it. Not every cyclist needs a Tour de France level service every 6 months I recommend Chevin to anyone looking for a no nonsense experience

First-class customer service when I bought my new bike on 3 January, 2019. Had only intended to do some research, but such was the quality of the service, I ended up parting with a tidy sum on the spot. Attentive listening to what I was after, careful measurements of my old bike (with Manager checking) transferred to suggestions as to an upgrade., and 3 or 4 possible options presented and discussed. Treated myself to a Raleigh Motus Tour from the Skipton branch. Russell was keen to get the seat and handles where he thought they needed to be for my long limbs, never made me feel like I was cheating getting an electric bike, gave me a comprehensive run through of the controls, and I was able to give the bike a test ride. Collecting the bike, it had been thoroughly checked and Sanjay patiently went through everything I needed to know. Very happy with my purchase and the service I received. I decided to try Chevin cylces for a new mountain biking helmet, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The helmet I wanted, had to be ordered in specially which the staff were more than happy to do. The helmet had to be re-ordered due to a sizing issue which was totally my fault and the shop carried this out with no hassle to myself. When I picked up my helmet it was checked for size and I was overall very happy with the service I received.

Just bought a Whyte 901 bike, the service was 2nd to none, had a test ride and they went through all components on the bike without any time constraints. No pressure from salespeople, told me to go and look on the website and read reviews etc. Hand over of the bike very smooth and quick. I use Chevin Cycles in Otley on a regular basis for parts/service etc and they are one of the most friendly at all times. Very knowledgeable and great products.

Bike went in for small repair, Paul in the workshop asked if he would like him to check my Shimano components as some are on recall as could be faulty. He found a small crack on on of my crank arms, so I was eligible to get it replaced for free. So very happy with the upgrade as mine was about 3 years old when I put on new. Thanks for all your help Paul and putting my bike back together. Can't wait to test it out when we get some dry weather.

Fantastic place! I went to get a new bike pump and happened to mention I was having issues with my back break - they asked me to bring my bike in and immediately sorted the issue.
