High reviews so I needed to stop in to check it out. I’m not sure if I agree with the 4.8 ⭐️ review. I think it’s a solid 3.5. Service…fantastic. But it’s really confusing where the line is to order. There’s a wall when you walk into the restaurant and you go to either side. The left side is where you order. Menu is decent for choices. There are spicy, plain, bbq, etc. so anyone could find something to try. Cheese options, side options and different soups and sandwiches. I opted for the Trio. I wanted to try as many things as possible. I do believe the price point is ok for how much you get (prices everywhere are super high). Drinks are an extra fee. I opted for the free water. I tried Kickin Kay Lynne on toasted wheat bread. I liked it the best out of the 3 I had. Definitely get your bread toasted. Also came with lettuce and tomatoes. Bacon would have been extra so I skipped it. Barbie-Q….you definitely need to like BBQ sauce to get this one. It was strong on the BBQ sauce flavor. Dixie Chick…has the onion in it and boy did it have onion flavor. My best way to describe the flavor choices…you have to like what it says it has in there a lot! I.E. the Buffalo one (which my friend got) tasted just like red hots Buffalo sauce. I loved the sugar cookie they gave with the meal. They do offer a military discount (10%) so I appreciate that and they DON’T flip the screen around for you to have to leave a tip. But I did not see a tip jar out. I’m assuming management must pay minimum wage or more here? Ordering the trio gave me enough to have leftovers for lunch today. Leftovers were a bit soggy. I don’t know if I’d be running back here to try more things. It was ok if you want to try it out, but I make a pretty good chicken salad from scratch at home, so for the price, I’d do it myself next time. Definitely check it out, but don’t expect to be overwhelmed with how good it is based on the reviews. Also, they closed at 8pm…so plan accordingly!

I tried Chicken Salad Chick for the first time and was so impressed. The chicken salad was fresh and flavorful! I’m now obsessed with the grape salad and need more. I suggest ordering the trio so you can sample different items: I recommend the Kickin’ Kay Lynne if you a bit of spice. I also got Olivia’s Old South for a more savory taste, and yum! The grape salad was the big winner-it’s tossed in a cream cheese mixture with brown sugar and pecans. It’s a sweet treat that you can pretend is healthy. My meal also came with crackers and a small buttercream cookie that was a perfect finishing touch. This was under $10 so it was a deal. Also to those obsessed with Diet Coke like I am: they serve Coke products! All you can drink! Plus sweet tea, watermelon tea, lemonade and strawberry lemonade. For the folks who prefer no flavor, there’s unsweetened tea as well. The inside was welcoming and I loved the decor. Tables are covered with cute tablecloths so you feel like you’re having a picnic. I appreciated all the bright colors. Perfect for Instagram pics. I need to return to try more chicken salad flavors (there’s many more!) plus I must have grape salad. Everyone was also polite as well. It’s always nice when you’re greeted with a smile and not a frown. I’m assuming the workers get all the grape salad they want, which would make me smile too.

The inconsistency in service and croissants’ freshness became a dealbreaker for me and my colleagues. Last few times my croissants were simply nasty - old, cold, crumbly, they’ve spoiled the sandwiches taste and texture. If an order to go then it’s a guarantee that it won’t be prepared as requested (extra crackers and extra utensils set are never given (the problem with the utensils set is that they have only 1 tiny napkin in it, and when I want to take an order to go I don’t have an option to request an extra napkin). I wish there will be an option NOT to add a little cookie to the meal (they are not tasty at all). Also when picking an order to go there is always a line because the pick-up station also works as a regular cash register and I have to wait a long time instead of pick up my order and go. And another HUGE problem is the parking - since there are many other businesses located nearby and there are no designated spots for to go orders, customers have to park far away and walk in the heat to pick up their lunches. Not convenient.

We had to see what all the hype was about. We had the classic Carol on a croissant, a scoop of the Southwest Senorita chicken salad & and a cup of the poblano chicken soup. I had the Sassy Scotty on white, a scoop of the Barbie-Q chicken salad, and a cup of chicken poblano soup. We both agreed that the samiches were just ok. The chicken salad portion to the croissant was lacking. Too much bread, not enough scoop. The Barbie-Q and the Southwest Senorita taste better off crackers than on bread. And of the different types of chicken salad, we both agreed that the Barbie-Q chicken salad tasted the best. The chicken poblano soup was REALLY good. Very nice homie setting inside. We spent about $35 for everything in photos I'll definitely give them another try. I love chicken salad and will be trying other option they offer. #LetsGoEatIsMyLoveLanguage

Today was finally the day! I got to go to Chicken Salad Chick to see what the hype was about and man oh man it did not disappoint. The staff were amazingly friendly and willing to go out is their way to assist! I had the Fancy Nancy scoop with the grape salad. Chefs kiss! The chicken salad was perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the fruit and the nuttiness from the pecans. The grape salad lived up the to hype! Nice and light and a perfect addition to the scoop of chicken salad. Hubby went with the spicy pimento BLT. Since we live in South Carolina in the past he knows good pimento cheese. He was very satisfied with the flavor and it definitely packed a little heat in my opinion. He ordered the broccoli salad and he was excited to see that it was the version he grew up with! Add the crispness of the pickle and the wonderful cookie for a little dessert and you have a winner!

Discovered this place a few days ago. I had the fruity fran chicken salad on a croissant. Paired with their delicious potato soup. Im a big chicken salad lover and this was so good. Next day I literally went back again and had the jalapeño Holly chicken salad again on a croissant cause who doesnt love croissants. Again with their awesome potato soup and this time with a side of their seasonal strawberry salad. Everything was so delicious and fresh. This has become my new favorite spot to eat lunch and dinner now. Oh and its very inexpensive conpared to many places nowadays. They also have yummy refreshing strawberry lemonade and sweet tea varieties. Just writing this makes me want to go again lol.

The food was good, and it could've been better. I ordered the Dixie Chick because I enjoy onions, and this has onions in it. I was asked if I would like it toasted , and replied no. When it was brought to me, there were not too many people there, so i was able to find a table and was served in a timely manner. When I received my meal, it was toasted, the sandwich tasted like it was just a lot of mayo and some chicken. I realized that most people eat onions the way like i would like to taste it in my onion sandwich. Don't get me wrong, the broccoli salad was very good And I have eaten there many times. I just today they dropped the ball.

It was my first time visiting CSC with a friend on Thursday ! And I had to go back the next day for lunch/dinner I’m very picky with my chicken salad but so far the 2 I’ve had are to die for ! , it’s very affordable! For a whole sandwich, a side and a drink it was 12 bucks!! They also give you a free little cookie with your meal! It’s gonna be hard for me to not want to eat here everyday lol !!

Staff is so nice and made me feel welcomed, I asked what they’d recommend and I definitely was not disappointed :)

My first visit, I love Chicken Salad. I had leafy lettuce with some baby tomatoes and cut up cucumbers. I opted for a scoop of chicken salad, about a cup size, on the lettuce with my choice of dressing, balsamic, I also got a slice of pickle and a cookie. With a drink it came to 15.00 and some cents. It was nothing fantastic, Chicken salad tasted like HEB store Chicken salad, not overly impressed. I guess I can say the watermelon tea was cool, refreshing, and not overly sweet. I only had the one item on the menu, I need to return and try other items on their menu to give it a proper review. The staff was very accommodating , friendly, and the restaurant was decorated very nice. Please go visit the restaurant, and get your own impression.

I went with someone's recommendation in the reviews to get the jalapeño chicken salad, and that was really delicious and a little different if you like jalapeños. I really liked the grape salad as well, and the cookie. Remember the demographic for this place, it's mostly young kids, high school volleyball girls, and very elderly people, so don't expect a crazy flavor town. I got the three scoop combo, but I tend to have a bigger appetite and it didn't fully fill me up so I got Dave's hot chicken right next door haha. This place isn't for me, maybe I'll crave it as I age, but alright for what it is.

Something very different than traditional fast food. Fresher, healthier options jn a delightful setting. This was really a very nice surprise on the interior. Honestly I don’t know what I was expecting, I just know it wasn’t this. Sandwich, salad and a beverage for about $13 and I felt so much better about this than a burger and fries or fire chicken strips. My Chicken BLT (you choose) on a croissant (again you choose) with a side (let me say, you choose again) and a beverage (I won’t say it again). Servers were very patient, pleasant and polite. I didn’t get “no problem’ed” or a “your good” from a single staff member. I plan to bring my wife and mother-in-law on a future visit.

A review from the not so chicken salad guy. I eat chicken salad rarely, like once a year! So I was skeptical of this place but my wife and I decided to try it out. I will be coming back! I left full but not feeling heavy. Great customer service in explaining everything. Nice little touch, I am glad they are close to my home/work. We ordered Fancy Nancy (my fav) and Cranberry Kelli. Everything was good from the chicken salad and soup to the watermelon tea. This will be my go to when I’m craving a cold lunch and even other times ;)

I've been wanting to stop by tgis spot ecer since they opened but still haven't had the chance. Thankfully, I was able to have my spouse drop in and order me some of their treats. I can't speak on the service, but I can speak on my meal....it was excellent. The chicken sald was so tasty, and the pimento cheese was also very good. The highlight was actually very surprising as I was even aware it was on their menu, but I am very happy to have tried it, and that was their pina colada pie. What a selection of different chicken salad, fresh vegetables salads, their side of kale salad is very delicious. Tried their egg salad and pimento salad.. their tortilla soup had lots of chicken everything tasty and fresh. Good size portions . Every order receives a mini buttercream cookie. I went there at 8:55 pm the cashier was very helpful. I was very surprised because the black gentleman gave the cashier a hard time because he served me. They weren't closed yet. I've worked in fast food establishment and I know we don't make remarks like he did in front of the customer. Went for the first time yesterday, we arrived around 7pm they close at 8pm and cashier looked annoyed and wasn't 2 helpful when we asked about the menu since it's a bit confusing at 1st. This was exactly what I expected AND MORE!!!!! I was so excited about this place. A restaurant with multiple kinds of chicken salad?? Sign me up!!!! The portions were perfect and in this visit, tried 4 different kinds of chicken salad. Loved them ALL. my favorite was the Jalepeno Holly. I love a spicy kick! Even the classic Carol was delicious. This place is so delicious! I love that it’s super filling and the portion sizes are actually filling. The broccoli salad is so delicious. I always go for the basic/original recipe, but I’ve heard great things about the Buffalo and jalapeño chicken salad. The salad is also very good. Highly recommend the Poblano Chicken Soup!!! Although I has to go to the counter 3 times to get my order right, they did it w a smile, the food was really good. Ordered some to take to my girlfriend and her mom. They loved it.

Fruity Fran was excellent! First time trying Chicken Salad Chick, and I was not disappointed. Love the variety, their Watermelon Tea is amazing, and their little buttercream cookies.

Place is awesome. If you like chicken salad, you need to try this place. Ask for a sample to find your favorite one. I love the BLT with classic chicken salad. And I recommend the grape salad.

A little overrated for chicken salad. I got the Fancy Nancy with the side salad. The sandwich was more Bread than chicken salad. So a little disappointed. I did like the side salad. The presentation was pretty. Would I come out of my way to eat again? Probably not. It's like McAllisters but with a twist. More

I love this place! I have only done carry-out. Chicken salad variety but delicious. Spicy options too (not thst spicy in my opinion but very tasty).

Stopped by here one afternoon to give it a try. Got the Trio combo which is made up of soup, chicken salad scoop, and fruit. Excellent combo, the chicken salad was fresh and filled with apples and walnuts. If you enjoy chicken salad, give this place try.

I went here for lunch this weekend and we were not impressed. Portions are extremely small, I think it was $4 for 3 bites of soup. Not sure how long they have the chicken salad sitting around but I got a stomach ache after eating here.

Chicken salad heaven! Plenty of different options. My faves are Fancy Nancy and Cranberry Kelly! Don’t forget to grab a buttercream frosted cookie - so good, they just melt in your mouth. There is seating inside and outside. Great addition to the area and San Antonio itself.
