First off, I have bought a few things from CWC in the past from their online store and most of the time I was well satisfied. However what I can't seem to understand is how they come up with their pricing?! It seems they chuck a few notes with prices written on them in a hat, and then some lucky chap gets to pull out the price what they will be listing an item for on their online shop. To give an example of many I have seen before: I have bought Look S-Track paddles from them before (on sale and have been riding them for a year +) and still I always notice what they are selling for. Usually they sell it for R749 compared to (their listing) a much higher RRP. Now what bothers me is when they advertise a massive sale from set period of time they increase the price for the same product to R899 and just chance the RRP and your "so called savings". I know I have had quite a few bargain buys from CWC, but this type of inconsistency in pricing is very unprofessional. How can you believe any sale they are having isn't just to lure the buyer into thinking "for only a period of time" they are buying a sale. If your current listing for a product is lets say R700 and RRP is R1000 (Save 30%) don't advertise it under your massive Black Friday or Big Year Sale for R800 and RRP is R1200 (Save 33.3). It stinks and is bad business, heck just chuck R20 of your normal online selling price and "correctly" advertise it as (Save 32%) from the normal RRP of R1000.

What pathetic service. I bought a front light from them and there were 10 people at hand to help part me from my money in about 2 minutes. Returning/exchanging a broken light however is a totally different experience. 3 Visits, 2 hours of time, 5 days of wait - that's what I had to deal with. As many people whom are ready to take your money, so few are there to give it back - well 1 specifically (and that is only if she happens to be at the store)(and yes she really is the only one as none of the other 15 people in the store can be trained or has the ability to do her level of skilled work). Also please be aware that they appear to be struggling financially as they apparently have zero cash available (even though the customer just before me paid in cash). They will gladly let you however take something else, or a perhaps gift card, so there's always that :( Rather support the smaller shops in the immediate area, it's a far better value experience!

I looked at your EBikes in front all your bikes and clothing shoes tyres Garmins because i own one and a cyclist who have a Cannondale Six13 your online chat person is more friendly and customer care so my conclusion please train your staff just to ask even if its not their area of expertise when i return the item the guy says to his collegue no i only deal with Garmin and i am thinking wow i own a Garmin myself for years so my 25 years as cyclist and visited that shop and spend time chatting with Chris its very sad to notice customer care our biggest problem. Will keep an eye next time to see if any changes. Laurel

I have used CW Cycles on a handful of occasions - both the online store and the physical walk-in store as well and although the deals they offer are unmatched in SA, I do believe they struggle to deal with the quantities of orders placed. Having ordered a set of pedals online I was frustrated upon opening the parcel to witness that half the parts were missing. After inspecting the contents I found that the Quality Control signoff sheet was signed off not only once but twice. This indicates a clear flaw in their goods handling service and a degree of carelessness. It appears that they move stock around from various warehouses before shipping - stressing the importance of QC. I called them to inquire about this error and it was rectified the next day happily by CW Cycles staff.

A big thumbs up to the branch manager Jaco (I think is his name). I took 2 bikes in for a service and requested the tires replaced on one of the bikes. Unfortunately when I went to pick up the bikes I discovered the wrong bike had the tires replaced. I was annoyed while waiting for the tires on the other bike to be replaced too, contemplating the additional cost, when Jaco came around and asked me if everything was ok. I explained the situation, he immediately sorted it out and I didn’t have to pay for the additional tires. Now I feel like I gained a new set of tires (on the wrong bike). It isn’t a lot of money (less than R300), but I am really impressed at the customer centricity. I bought a new bike for my son for R8000 and this is now the only place I will go to in future.

This WAS one of the best cycling stores in town , I'd highly recommend using a smaller store that meets and sometimes beats their pricing . (CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES) rather use the online store if you must. Reason for my poor review is that after purchasing with them they very quickly thanked me via SMS and asked about my shopping experience so as a fan i obliged by following the link provided and expressed my concerns based on my experience and till today, no feedback nothing.... FACT not everyone walking into your store knows all the technical terms for your products so leave us with an experience that will want local cyclist /newbies wanting to come back and not feel stupid for even asking

Sometimes you just find great customer service and excellent help in a shop and then it is important to note it. I was visiting this shop on 29 December 2019 and my son was with me. We got excellent support from sales consultant Adrian De Bruyns and spent more than an hour with him in which he took us through every little detail regarding our purchase. I was very impressed with the variety available in the shop as well as the spectrum of bicycles in a lower price range. I also felt that he really went out of his way to accommodate my preferences, not trying to talk me into spending more money, but rather looking at cost effective good quality recommendations. A great experience!

I have bought a Marvel triload bike rack from CWC. I used it when we went on Holiday in December, Unfortunately I lost all my keys for the bike rack and basically I was stuck and the rack was useless. When back from holiday without my bike rack, I phone CWC and explain my situation and send Jaco one of the managers photos of the locks.. Jaco ensure me that he will make a plan. Jaco find replacement keys for me and within a day he courier the keys to my home address all for free without any charges. Service and commitment like this is hard to find. Is no service poor service? I dropped off my rear wheel for a freehub service on Thursday and the workshop assured and promised me it would be completed the coming Monday. I went there around 3pm the Monday just to be told that they are yet to start with the wheel… Because of this I cannot take my bike on holiday and train for a race and would need to seek another bike shop to assist in the new year. I really did not expect this from such a big bike shop, and needless to say they will never be seeing me again. Please think twice before using them as I think these smaller bike shops provide better service.

I would advise to not give any contact information to these guys as unsubscribing from their mailing list is not as straight forward as just replying 'stop'. The opt out message is vague and every changes with every single message. I've seen OPTOUTNO, OptOUtNO and OptOutNO (Yes, those random uppercase spelling is correct) There is also no indication of "SMS TO OPT OUT", just the above words at the end of the message. Even after replying to those messages with the text above I still get spammed afterwards. I've contacted CWC (15:09 28/04/2021) and asked to have my details removed. Now we wait.

Took 7 tries to get tighten spokes on one wheel , change tyres on 2 wheels and get brakes serviced . When the training tyres were taken off and replaced by race tyres a mechanic took the 2 training tyres worth R1700 home , sent the brakes in for a fix came back contaminated and spent R400 on pads to replace , bolt started to randomly fall off while testing it after service , brakes went in not rubbing and came back rubbing and the brakes still don’t stop me properly would give less than 1 star if possible would not recommend it you want to get bikes and parts back in one piece

Best bike shop, highly recommended! Large selection of top branded products. I've never been happier in a bike shop. I had a thousand questions and all were answered kindly and patiently by Ricardo, he was knowledgeable and helpful. I bought a bike rack for my MTB e-bike, accessories, clothes, sports nutrition and a few other things. I felt like a valued customer. Overall, the staff in this store is very friendly and the management is personable. I would buy here again and again. The long drive to CWC in Bellville was definitely worth it. I will be happy to come back!

The level of service is atrocious, takes ages to get someone te help in a store that is clearly not too busy, and the manager seems too preoccupied to deal with complaints. It’s such a pity that this is the only large bike shop in the Tygervalley area. On two occasions the salesmen I dealt with kept pushing bicycles well out of the price range I was looking for and didn’t want to allow a test rides? I’m sure this does not apply to all the employees, but after the last two visits I will be staying far away

Walked into this store a few minutes ago with my husband who was looking to have my bicycle serviced and needed a few things, the sales assistant or floor assistant whoever it was was so rude and so impolite it was as if he did not want to serve my husband my husband asked him 1 question and before my husband could finish he just said very abruptly and rudely "no we dont have that". I came all the way out of bobteheuwel here cause of the great reviews about the place however will never go back.

Thanks for the fantastic service. I financed a bike through them and it was the easiest process as well as efficient. Adrian has a world of knowledge and is keen on sharing it with you. Our setup was done and he had so much patience with us ensuring it is correct and any additional items required as the best value for money. I would highly recommend Chris Willemse Cycles to anyone and it is the best service I received compared to two other bike shops I have been supporting in the past.

Service has never been their strong point, but now, during loadshedding its non existent, because they simply close up and chase you out. They need to do better, this is not a mom and pop operation, the fact they have insufficient pride in their business or service ethic to their customers to have a standby generator to operate the lights and the speed point is telling. There are lots of options in the area that will welcome you into the store, even when it's dark!

Shopped there previously and had a wonderful experience. Not living in cape town, was really looking forward to it again . However, security would not allow entry as he said they open at 9 where as the door and the website suggest 8am. If the shop only opens at 8 for drop off for service, please state that or change the opening hours. Disappointed as I had a long list of purchases to make and passed over other bike shops. Returned home to our town empty handed.

Got CWC branded mtb grips on black Friday as a gift. Tried to exchange them and buy something else but was refused. Not because they were not from CWC but because they could not verify the sales price. While there is no obligation by law to exchange without a slip I found it very poor customer service. I spend thousands of rands at the store evert year but no longer. CWC your attitude has turned me away to other online shops. Bye Bye.

CWC and staff are far too complacent and are going to have a rude awakening if they don't pull up their socks. 30 minutes to process the exchange of one item for another... worst of all, staff aren't even friendly or apologetic about it. I've vented my annoyance to friends who have communicated the same level of frustration during their visits. Going forward I refuse to support CWC, as they're clearly not interested in my business.

One of the best stores in general. But what anoys me is when I call and I'll be on hold for more than 5 minutes. Then when I get a person to assist, they ask me to leave my number and promise the right person will call back. After waiting for more than 2 days for a call. I then call back and same thing happens. To me these are call centre tendencies and not a good way to do business.

Nice looking shop but the attitude from the staff was not good. I asked to look at a bike for R5000 and the look I got was like (what the F are you doing in this store) so I bought my new Titan bike from another store that actually has customer service. Very disappointing experience to what I was expecting from what I have heard on the radio. The website was also out of date.

Sad to see how times have changed. Was just at shop on Monday afternoon at 1:45pm. Two customers in shop. Not once was I asked if I needed help. Staff sitting around or outside. Needed a full setup and have a fair bundle of cash to spend. Rather going to spend that at a family owned store who need it as it sure seems these guys don’t need the business. Won’t be back.

For a happy-to-help attitude, go elsewhere. After being told that nothing could be done about the problem I was experiencing on a brand new bike, 10 minutes of investigating at home uncovered the issue and I easily fixed it myself. Not impressed by the lack of enthusiasm to even try to fix a problem experienced by a paying customer.

Worst service I have ever recieved been in the shop a few times this year each time I have had to beg for service and been ignored, they need to fire all the staff that doesn't want to be there and hire staff that actually want to help customers !!!
